Problem deinstalling 10.2.0.2

Hi,
I installed and later on deinstalled 10.2.0.2 OMS, agent, and respository database by using the Oracle installer. In Oracle installer, I selected the db10g, oms10g, agent10g, and then clicked remove. The message came back as successful, but somehow, I could not remove the oms10g directory. It shows that some of the files are in use. Now I cannot reinstall 10.2.0.2 OMS in the same directory because the installer thinks there is already an OMS.
Has anyone encountered this before? Any suggestions?

I'm trying to manually delete the oms10g directory. Most of the files are removed except for the *.jar files. When I try to delete them, the system displays messages say that they are in use by other programs. I haven't been able to figure out what is using them, since all the oracle services have been shutdown (OracleService, dbconsole, agent, listener, job scheduler).

what you can do it manually delete the oms directory tree and then when you are in OUI click on empty homes. You should then be able to remove the empty home and then perform a new install.
What O/S are you using?

I bought an Adobe CC membership and after a month I found out that my apps were expiring. I accidentally set CC on Dutch (native language) but I ordered the English version. No problem, deinstalled all the apps and reinstalled them in the English version. Everything seems to work, almost.
When I'm using MS word 2010 and I want to save my document as a PDF file (Save as Adobe PDF), it opens the dialog that I have zero days left and have to fill in my serial number, in Dutch!
I can only cancel this screen, since I don't have the Dutch version of CC. If I try again I get the following error in Word.
I deinstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat XI now about 5 times, but it is still not working. How can I point PDFmaker to the right Acrobat?

Thanks for the link. I tried them out but still no luck. When I press Save to PDF it opens the English version of Acrobat and this Dutch activation screen, after that I only get the alert and the activation screen. So I can save one pdf document and then I've to reinstall Acrobat. It's activated, but only the English version, somewhere on my pc there is still some leftover from the Dutch version.

How do I re-update my walkman app?

In the app setting screen there is an option of deleting the walkman app's update.
After deleting that update, I am now stuck with the older version of the app. Is there a way for me to re-update to the
newest version? Repairing my phone through the companion software on pc does not seem to help.

OK now I tried myself and contacted local (German) support.
Described the problem (deinstalled update of Walkman, also outdated versions of Album and Movies, for all of them Update Center not showing the latest versions).
First instruction to solve was to stop the Update Center app and remove data and cache then reboot the phone. I did that already twice but for the sake of doing it I did it again and of course it did not help . Which I told the guy from support.
He then told me he was sorry but I had to download the apk files from the internet and install them myself. I asked if I should share this recommendation as support solution and he agreed to that. So here you are (strange they don't even offer to send or download the apk files...)
Finally I asked if I would be receiving incremental update notifications via Update Center which he confirmed. I will come back on that once we know there are newer versions we don't get notified about...

Can't uninstall creative software - please he

Hi all,?I tried out the Zen V Plus and decided on another mp3 player - now I can't remove creatives software from my system. Nothing from creative shows up under add remove programs (I used that to remove the creative stuff first, it didn't work though)?When I click on my computer, I see the Zen V Plus media explorer listed under the "other" tab- I can right click on it but it wont run, and there is no option to uninstall it?Also, on my desktop I still show the ZenCast organiser. I can delete the shortcut, but Zencast organiser does not show in add remove and there seems to be no uninstall program in the creative folder - I've tried starting in clean boot and safe mode and just deleting the Creative folder under Crogram files/creative - but that doesn't work, I get access denied message due to running DLL files. I've tried going into msconfig and the files in question are not present - I've emailed tech support and they have been less than helpfull. They say it's a problem with windows. I think it's a creative problem- it's their software afterall. If anyone knows any tricks or methods to get rid of this stuff please help!?The only thing I can think of would be to get the original install disk, install everything again, then try to uninstall using the original disk- (sometimes they have that option) but I have no idea where or how to get a disk short of going to bestbuy, buying a Zen Plus and then using the disk and returning the whole thing. I really would like to avoid that if possible. Also, when I click start, all programs, I do have a creative folder, I can then click creative Zen V Series (R2) - and I have an "uninstall creative media explorer- but when I click it nothing happens. thanks - Jake

I have installed the stuff you talk about multiple times and did not have problems deinstalling.
You can either go into registry (back it up before doing do) and delete all creative/zen entries or you can try to install all software again, reboot, start in safe mode, deinstall all.

Clicking anywhere on one monitor loses the active window in the other monitor

Windows XP Pro, two monitor setup which has worked without issue for well over a year. Still works, with the following quirk: Suppose I am sending an email and I wish to attach pix which I am selecting from Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) on the left side and my email front end on the right side. I have a few other windows open on the right side, in the background. I am just picking photos shown on the left monitor to attach to the email I am working on in the right monitor. Simple.
The email front end is on top of any open windows on the right. When I click on the left screen, the right screen (apparently) reverts to whichever window it thinks is "most important"...but in any event, the desired target window goes away so there is no place to drag & drop the pic to. UNLESS, of course, my target window (the email front end in this case) is the "most important" window but there is no way (that I know of) to achieve that or to know in advance whether it is or is not....>>THAT<< being able to "pin" a particular window as "topmost" or "topmost until I change it" would solve the problem as far as I'm concerned. Yet I have never had to do anything like this before. Got something going on the right hand screen? Go to the left screen? Why should anything I do on the left influence what I am doing or what I am seeing on the right? It shouldn't. When I leave one screen, it should stay just how I left it.
Likewise, if I have a piece of stock tracking software running in a window on the right and Excel on the left side, when I click anywhere on Excel, the stock-tracking window goes away and reverts to some other window which (I guess) must be "more important". I would somehow need to be able to designate whatever window I am working on on the right screen as "most important"....this would fix the problem. But again, I have never had to do this before. Go work on the other screen, and the screen you left remains as it was. (How could you work if it was different??)
And by the way, it appears to work the other way (excel on right, stock-screener on left, or....WDOs Explorer on right, email on left.)
Frustrating and non-productive. It never did this in the year or more I've been using the same hardware. Dumb 5-year old hp desktop. I recently replaced my hard drive. I know I updated FF some months ago but this problem is much newer than "months ago"...it just started to occur about a week or so ago! It's quite the PITA.

I FIXED this problem: DEinstall Firefox, REinstall Firefox. Done.

[Problem with U310 and W8] Deinstalled my WuDFRd-Drivers

i just set up my new u310 with windows 8 and it worked fine. Then i realised, that on startup it takes about 4-10 minutes to search for wifi and i began struggeling around with things... deinstalled some drivers, reinstalled them again, just to see which drivers collide because the wifi service didnt start on startup.
Then i saw a message on my system which was timed around the startup time and it said "The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ROOT\LENOVOVHID\0000.". I looked it up on the internet and i saw that few people had the same problems with the long startup and similar things... so i just deinstalled the "Windows Driver Package - Lenovo WuDFRd Drivers" to reinstall a newer version or something like that.... but problem is, Where can i find this Driver package? I just cant find it. Will the startup problem be solved with a new installation of these drivers? Please help me

Thank you for your response. Originally, I had a problem with Airport and ended up reinstalling Snow Leopard. Since then, when downloading upgrades etc, such as HP printer drivers, iTunes etc., towards the end of the download when its running the script, I get this message: /System/Library/Extensions/comcy_driver_USBDevice.kext

What is happening when starting it?
If Windows, where was it installed?
If Windows, do you have admin permissions?

Problem with deactivating / deinstalling filevault

I have had filevault on my main user account. Due to problems with disappearing sidebar folders described elsewhere, I created a new admin account and moved all of my data to this account. I have not essentially emptied the old account, logged out to recover space and I now want to deactivate Filevault in the old account. But the process halts with an error message and in the console system log this string is found:

Turning off Appletalk fixed those entries in my system log (it was enabled unknowingly on airport and the built-in ethernet) and sped up the log in well...
I'm not sure on the constant dropping, but I've been experiencing that, and will report back if turning apple talk off improved that situation too.

Settings > General > Usage - Photos & Camera.

Not sure from your post what method you used but there is a deinstall.sh or deinstall.exe in your SOA_HOME/bin. If you are on windows you will see deinstall from the menu. This is the easiest way to deinstall.
If this fails fire up runInstaller that you used to install SOA Suite and choose to deinstall from there. You do this by selecting installed products.

Installation problem on Windows 7 64

I have downloaded the archived folders win64_11gR2_database_1of2 and win64_11gR2_database_2of2, combined the contents, and ran the setup.exe program. The Installer program loads and is brought up successfully, and I can select "create and configure a database" and click next. Now, I am asked to select the "Desktop Class" or "Server Class". I select "Desktop Class" but when I hit next, the Installer program just exits. I have tried this dozens of times, rebooted the machine, and have not been able to resolve this. My machine meets the requirements of this software, and I have actually installed 11g on this machine before successfully, but deinstalled it. I have a feeling this is not a common problem but I am at a loss as to how to resolve this. Any advice? Thank you.

Problem Saving or Opening Documents with Office 2013 Home & Business

Hello there,
as the title says, I'm running into a problem when trying to save or open Documents in Word,Excel,etc. (all Office Programs)
I get the message "Microsoft Word stopped working". Or Excel, Powerpoint...
I already tried to deinstall and used the Office-FixIt-Tool to clean the PC.
I also updated the driver for my Graphic-Card, installed the newest Windows-Updates and checked if it is caused by an Add-In.
None of this helped. The Problem still exists when starting in Safe-Mode.
In Event-Viewer I get this Message:

Hello George,
No, it has never worked.
For testing I installed Office 2010 and this worked fine.
But as I said, all versions had been deinstalled before reinstalling Office 2013 (even cleaned up with the FixIt-Tool).

Problems with the Creative Cloud Desktop

Hi i changed my Email adress cause i couldnt verify it, because this email got spammed by facebook and all that stuff so my mailbox was always full and i didnt get adobe email. So the problem is, that i changed the email to a new one cause i need to verify the email for using the Creative Cloud Program on my desktop and without doing that i cant use it. My Adobe ID account changed the emailadress and it worked very well but it'll not change the email adress in the programm which i need to verify! I already tried to deinstall and install again and all that i really need help!
