Problem deleting Master Data from an InfoObject

Hello Everyone,
We have 0MATERIAL infoobject. There was no Master data in the infoobject. Then, i manually entered the data into the InfoObject. After a day, i tried to delete the Master data to load it from R/3. When i tried to delete the Master data from the InfoObject, it shows errors and does not allow me to delete the data. Say, i entered 2 into material column of a record, the error appears like 'Master Data 0000002' (SID   25) is being used in /BI0/DOSH21' and cannot be deleted'. could someone please help me with this. This is a bit urgent. Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks.

Hi Sachin:
Your only hope is if R/3 has the Correct Master Data, it will overwrite your Master Data. But remember for this, the KEYS have to be same because the KEYS can never be deleted in your case.
E.g., MATERIAL, LOC (is an attribute)
You inserted:
        000000002, TEXAS
If, in R/3 there is infact a material with  key 000000002, FLORIDA. THis will overwrite your Record.
If R/3 doesn't have 000000002, there is not much you can do now.

  • How to delete master data from InfoObject

    Hello,
Can anyone give me an advice for the following problem :
160 employees have been deleted from R/3 but still exist in BW.
I am searching a way to delete them in BW but I have the following problem :
    - selective deletion in InfoCubes and ODS is OK
    - when I try to delete them in 0EMPLOYEE , I received the message
"master data xxxxxxxx (SID xxxxxxxx) is used in BI0/QPERSON and therefore can't be deleted.
The reason is that 0PERSON is an attribute of 0EMPLOYEE and vice versa.
No records in R/3 exist for those employee.
Any idea how can I delete them in BW in 0EMPLOYEE and 0PERSON ?
    Thanks for your help,
    IE

    Hi Ingrid,
    1. delete the data from all infocubes and ODS's, where the infoobject is available.
then the masterdata isn't in use. all SID's should be deleted from the dimension tables.
Now you can delete the masterdata with the AdminWorkbench.
    2. delete the employees from 0EMPLOYEE.
    3. delete the employees from 0PERSON.
you can also try the function: archive.

  • DELETING Master Data from 0Material

Guys I am trying to Delete Data from 0Material, but when I run the FM RSATREE_PSA_DELETE_BATCH and check on T-Code 'slg1' it says the following,
<b>"Master data 070-310-0 (SID 652) is used in ZCONSIGNED_INVENTORY_BYMONTH and, therefore, not deleted."</b>
I have never come across where a query will be blocking data. The only thing that comes to mind is that it could be restricted by the data from the cube, and that is making it block the data.
Having said that, when I try to open the query , it is all greyed out. And I have also tried deleting the query by T-code "rszdelete", but it comes back with the following message
"Query object EU3SUSBZ4KR0Z75SUZRNBDSX0 is blocked. Deletion has been cancelled."
    any ideas!!!

    Hi,
no you just can't "clear" these table unless you want to screw your datawarehouse....
the first message means that the material with SID 7 is used in a hierachy of 0MATERIAL ==> adjust the hierarchy first.
the second message indicates that the material with SID 5316 is used in the ICube 0RT_C07 and you CANNOT delete master data if it is used in other objects.
First run RSRV for this dimension in order to see if the DIMID is really used by the fact table. Perform the following test "Entries Not Used in the Dimension of an InfoCube " with your cube and dim.
if the DIMID is not used then "correct" the error; you'll then be able to delete your SID.
If the DIMID is used then you'll have to delete your cube data if you really want to delete this material; otherwise you'll have to keep it.
Finally rerun you master data deletion.
    hope this helps...

  • Loading master data from another infoObject (generate export datasource)

    Hi All,
We are using a 0MATERIAL that is loaded every day, and we would like to use another infoObject that contains data updated every end of last month (and ont daily).
For instance, on 15th april, we would like use data from 31th march and not 15th april.
We saw that we could use "Generate export datasourse" from 0MATERIAL to the nex infoObject.
    1) Is there the best solution?
    2) If yes, could you explain us how to do this (generate export datasource), because we didn't do this?
    3) Do we do this from InfoObject (0MATERIAL) or Infosource?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Check : [Generating the Master Data Export DataSource|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/11/1a5038d2c1ba03e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm] to generate export datasouce.
If MATERIAL is time dependent data then, Use To Date field as selection(31st March) to load data into new infoobject. Restict at infopackage level.

    Hi,
    BPC 7.5 NW. version
when i use the DM package IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER with Transport and conversion files,
i got the error ""Command error: COL(1 )="" and no data will be transported.
does anyone know such kind of error or is there any instruction about the error in BPC?
    Thanks advance for help.
    BRs,
    XIaojun

    H,
Did you manage to get a fix? I'm having similar error for BPC 10 when loading transactional data both from flat file and infoobject.
The 'Command Error: COL(3,1:3) =' is when using an *IF statement in the mapping.
If I don't use the *IF statement then I'm unable to select and direct transactional data into the correct accounts and dimension master data so really need to use them!
Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Deletion of huge master data from Admin console

    Dear All
we are using EPM 10 of SP16. By mistake we have loaded wrong md to one of the dimension.
we are trying to delete master data from a dimension with specific filter on one of the property.
we are getting the errror  repeatedly...
"An exception of type 'CX_SY_CONVERSION_CODEPAGE' occurred, that was not caught anywhere in the call hierarchy. It was not handled locally or declared using a RAISING clause."
"Unhandled Error (HTTP Status:500): Error #1009"
    Steps followed.
    1. Deleted small small amounts of MD [ 100 to 200 at a time]. and then processed. It went fine. but the deleted members came back.
    2. 'CX_SY_CONVERSION_CODEPAGE'  exception while processing dimension : Followed this note and refreshed dimension cache. Even after which we are getting above error and all the deleted md has come back.;
There are nearly 50,000 records needs to be deleted asap.
    Can somebody please help us...

  • Problem with Master Data Load

    Dear Experts,
If somebody can help me by the following case, please give me some solution. Iu2019m working in a project BI 7.0 were needed to delete master data for an InfoObject material. The way that I took for this was through tcode u201CS14u201D. After that, I have tried to load again the master data, but the process was broken and the load done to half data.
    This it is the error:
Second attempt to write record 'YY99993' to /BIC/PYYYY00006 failed
    Message no. RSDMD218
    Diagnosis
During the master data update, the master data tables are read to determine which records of the data package that was passed have to be inserted, updated, or modified. Some records are inserted in the master data table by a concurrently running request between reading the tables at the start of package processing and the actual record insertion at the end of package processing.
The master data update tries to overwrite the records inserted by the concurrently running process, but the database record modification returns an unexpected error.
    Procedure
u2022     Check if the values of the master data record with the key specified in this message are updated correctly.
u2022     Run the RSRV master data test "Time Overlaps of Load Requests" and enter the current request to analyze which requests are running concurrently and may have affected the master data update process.
u2022     Re-schedule the master data load process to avoid such situations in future.
u2022     Read SAP note 668466 to get more information about master data update scheduling.
Other hand, the SID table in the master data product is empty.
    Thanks for you well!
    Luis

    Dear Daya,
Thank for your help, but I was applied your suggesting. I sent to OSS with the following details:
We are on BI 7.0 (system ID DXX)
While loading Master Data for infoobject XXXX00001 (main characteristic in our system u2013 like material) we are facing the following error:
Yellow warning u201CSecond attempt to write record u20182.347.263u2019 to BIC/ XXXX00001 was successfulu201D
We are loading the Master data from data source ZD_BW_XXXXXXX (from APO system) through the DTP ZD_BW_XXXXX / XXX130 -> XXXX00001
The Master Data tables (S, P, X) are not updated properly.
The following reparing actions have been taken so far:
    1.     Delete all related transactional and master data, by checking all relation (tcode SLG1 à RSDMD, MD_DEL)
    2.     Follow instructions from OSS 632931 (tcode RSRV)
    3.     Run report RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL from tcode SE38 (using both check and repair options).
After deleting all data, the previous tests were ok, but once we load new master data, the same problem appears again, and the report RSDMD_CHECKPRG_ALL gives the following error.
    u201CCharacteristic XXXX00001: error fund during this test.u201D
The RSRV check for u201CCompare sizes of P and X and/or Q and Y tables for characteristic XXXX00001u201D is shown below:
    Characteristic XXXX00001: Table /BIC/ PXXXX00001, /BIC/ XXXXX00001 are not consistent 351.196 derivation.
It seems that our problem is described in OSS 1143433 (SP13), even if we already are in SP16.
Could somebody please help us, and let us know how to solve the problem?
    Thank for all,
    Luis

  • Re: delete master data

    Hi All,
How to delete master data. I tried delete master data from the context menu of infoobject.
But it says some of master data not delted. I deleted all the transaction data exist for that master data.
But still  i am not able to delete the master data.
    Pls provide me the solution.
    Regards,
    Anand

1.Ideal way is right click and delete master data .
2.Also you may right click > maintain master data->execute-->select all >click on delete icon>SAVE
3.You may use func module SUBST_DELETE_TABLE_CONTENT.
Kindly check  where used list of that infobject in transport connection , delete data from dependent infoproviders and then try deleting master data.

    Hi folks,

Anyone can help me to solve the problem?
Or do I have to delete this infoobject and recreate it, then transport to PRD system?
    Thanks in advance
    Ji xiaodong

    Hi,
infoobject ZCCPT_S is used in any infooprovider (DSO or Cube), first delete the data in that and then try to delete master data for this infoobject, there is error deleting infoobjects SID's. i think that is why this error is coming. so first delete the data in infoproviders.
go to infoobject ZCCPT_S -> using where used list see where it is used .

  • Using SE14 to delete Master Data

    Hi,
I have to delete master data of several InfoObjects and I'm trying to find a way of doing it as fast as possible, eventhough I have many dependences between InfoObjects.
I know I can use transaction code SE14 to delete master data, but I do not know if it will also check the dependences between other objects as if I do the deletion using the context menu on an InfoObject. Can anybody clarify this for me please?
    Thanks,

SE14 will not check dependencies. To delete master data see the following link

  • Problem updating infoobject master data from a dso.

    Hi all,
i'm updating the master data of an infoobject from another ods, the two table have the same key.
When i update the infoobject with full repair i get errors about duplicate records and the data load stops, when i delete the request and launch the infopackage again all goes well but it seems it doesn't insert any new record in the master data, what could be the problem?
If you need more info ask me.
    Thanks a lot.
    Stefano

    Hi Sadeesh,
i checked the master data table and it seems it has been updated, i check some order number with recordmode N added today in the dso and the entries were in the infoobject, though i don't know why in the request tab it shows 0 added records.
To be completely sure tomorrow i will check again the number of entries in the 'p' table of the infoobject.
Anyway this is the exact error message i get:
7 duplicate record found.     6478 recordings usedin table /BIC/XZDOCDSO
7 duplicate record found.     6478 recordings usedin table /BIC/PZDOCDSO
After that i run the change run for the IO and when i launch again tha data load it goes well.
