Problem disabling startup of PC Suite in Windows X...

Hi,
I'm running Nokia PC Suite version 7.0.8.2 which I just installed yesterday on my Windows XP SP3.
Ever since I've had a problem with the two tray items from PC Suite (stupidly didn't block them just this once which I usually do with Spybot S&D from the start) that continuously and automatically start up at boot.
Now after download and install of "AutoRuns for Windows" from the link in another post I read in this forum and disabling it there the result is the same. I have tried to untick and to even delet the start up-keys in both programs but to no luck.
In MSCONFIG the possibility of disabling PC Suite isn't even there because it is not listed at all.
This annoying junk just keeps reinstalling itself with a new key each and every time I delete or untoggle it.
Anybody out there who can give me a hint on how to disable this once and for all?
PS: Would it help to uninstall PC Suite completely and then to reinstall the program again just that I'd use the blocking feature of Spybot S&D at the second install or is it too late for that now since the registry keys already exist from the first install?

i think Error with XP SP3
first i install 7.0.8.2 PC suite using no problem , after the auto update and install SP3 then cannot use the PC suite..inside the Nokia connection manager also can not chooes the ( cable , BT , Serial ,etc.)

Problems at Startup - Windows 8.1

So for the past (roughly) week, I've been having some unusual activity at startup. When the usual Windows 8.1 picture for login comes up (i.e. the picture that slides upward, covers the password page), there would usually be a time indicator at the bottom

Have you tried to boot into clean boot to check this issue as Arnav Sharma suggested above?
Regarding the issue here, do you mean after clicking the
lock screen, the logon screen is not showing out well?
Here is a VBscripts to disable lock screen in Windows 8/8.1, we may take a try and see if issue insists.

o my god !
I am running windows xp media center edition 2005 (sp2).Phone-N70 with cable.
I was already having so much problems with PC suite 6.83....And then I found a FAQ ...it says my pc's operating system is not supported by Pc suite. Wat should i do...Wat is the correct version for me...

Problem Installing Developer Suite on WIndows Vista

Hi! i'm a student of computer science, and i need to install developer suite for a proyect i need to do for one of my classes.
I have a problem installing developer suit on Windows Vista. After i download and unzip both disk, i run the setup from the installer folder and i get an alert that says: "abnormal termination. There's been an internal error. Send the following files to the Oracle Suport Services: Unknown, Unknow, Unknow". I've also tryed with the setup from the main folder and i get the same alert. I don't know what to do, i've tryed setting the compatibility mode to windows XP, runnig as administrator, changing the performance configuration of my computer and nothing. Please help me to install the program!

Oracle Developer Suite 10g - Windows 7 - swap space problem

Hope all you are fine. I am facing swap space problem while installing Oracle Developer Suite 10g on Windows 7 . I have downloaded and installed Oracle Database 11g Express Edition successfully and it is working properly. Now, I have downloaded two files
a. ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1,
b. ds_windows_x86_101202_disk2
to install Oracle Developer Suite 10g using Windows 7 Ultimate. The Oracle Universal Installer have passed the following issues:
a. Operating system version,
b. Monitor
But while checking swap space, it gives a message, "0 MB available, 1535 MB required", Failed. I have 2 GB RAM installed and system managed paging file space which is currently allocated to 2038 MB in my system .
Please solve me the problem.

Problem Disabling Beats Audio w/ Windows 10

Hi - I have problem with Beats Audio Control Panel after upgrade windows 8 .1 to windows 10. I updated the audio drivers which didn't solve the problem.

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit While using Windows 8.1, what I did to disable the Beats Audio Control Panel was to update the driver to the generic High Definition Audio, as this guy shows:

I've tried to do the same under Windows 10 but there was Generic Audio Driver a.k.a. High Definition Audio Driver available. This is what I did:
1. Download, install the High Definition Audio Tool from Microsoft Hardware Dev Center, and restart your PC. This is the generic audio driver that was missing:

How to install developer suite on windows vista

trying to install the dveloper suite on windows vista, keep gettting error that the pagefile(swap file) size is 0 and need to fix this problem.

Have you followed the steps under "III. After the install completed" in this thread?

And note the fourth paragraph from the top. There is a BIG bug in Forms Builder 10g running on Vista. When you try to compile a program unit (procedure) that calls another one that has compiler errors, the Forms Builder crashes. So it can be pretty frustrating if you actually try do any forms development work.

Disk Problems, OSX partition will not repair is Windows CHKDSK the culprit?

Hi,
I have both Snow Leopard (fully updated) and Windows 7 on Bootcamp partition on my MacBook Pro.
Repairing Permissions on my Mac OS 10.6.4 partition had become a very regular with 'Java' permission problems always seeming to be a very regular and common one.
Anyhow, I thought it appropriate and logical to run the WIndows 7 equivalent of disk-verify/disk-repair/permission-repair and therefore run CHKDSK at 'CMD' level and this appeared to run accordingly without problems.
At some point/days later, my Mac OS appeared to be slow and having a lot of spinny-ball, therefore verified Macintosh HD volume-disk with Disk Utility and showed to have lots of problem. Disk Utility Repair has failed having tried it many times and not even Drive Genius 3 is able to repair or rebuild it on this occasion however I was able to run a 'Scan' on it from Drive Genius 3 and it reported thankfully that there was NO bad blocks.
The error thats returned repeatedly when doing a repair is "Incorrect number of thread records" which is reported immediately after "Checking Catalog File"
Not keen on the thought of having to format, re-install and then re-setup the system even from a Super-Duper backup copy that I had made previously (minus some data since).
However, my questions are:
1. Is it possible that the Windows 7 'CHKDSK' command may have possibly caused this despite the fact that it would have or should have only performed it's operations on the BOOTCAMP disk partition?
2. Is it possible to reformat and restore any previously backed-up images to a single disk partition _without upsetting the other Partition and OS_ residing on it (albeit on the same overall physical disk), i.e. Restoring my Mac OS X SuperDuper backup image back onto the current Mac partition... and would the same apply if ever having to restore a Windows 7 Acronis backup image back onto the current BOOTCAMP partition.
3. Would there be another alternative before a drastic reformat and recovery of the Mac OSX partition (if that's even possible without affecting BOOTCAMP - from question 2 above)
Advice would be much appreciated, many thanx.

At the time I had run the 'CHKDSK' command from within Windows, from the 'Run' command prompt located within the Start Menu.
Fortunately I still have the previous HDD that originally came with the MacBook Pro before I upgraded the internal drive some time ago and therefore I have been able to boot externally from this and continue to do so until I've decided what to do, which looks like a recovery from the previous super-duper backup will be inevitable.
I guess I'm unlikely to come across any software or fix that will be capable of correcting the 'faulty number of thread records' being reported after the 'Checking Catalog File' disk repair check routine, however if I find a solution then I'll post it here, otherwise an eventual recovery/install it is.
Under Fortuny's revelation, I will procede with MacDrive with caution and probably disable it if ever running a Windows CHKDSK again (if indeed this is the underlying cause of the problem). And under your advise 'The hatter' I shall certainly look into the Windows system file checker alternative, thanks.

Problem in Startup 10g DB

Dear all
i m facing a little problem in startup 10g DB i m using 10g DB on Windows 2000 Professional operating system
when i start data base from enterprize manager i log on SYS user then i select Startup then i feed some parameter like
1) Host Credentials
Specify the OS user name and password to login to target database machine
i feed there operating system user name & passowrd
then
2)Specify the credentials for the target database.
To use OS authentication, leave the user name and password fields blank.*
i enter sys user and his password
Database yasir
Connect As SYSOPER
when i pressed OK button then ii face that error
Error Message
RemoteOperationException: ERROR: Wrong password for user
but my both password operatin system & sys password are correct
any one have any idea what is problem & how can i slove my problem

From control panel go to
1. Administrative tool---local security policy---local security settings
2.From the local security settings windows: local policies---user rights assignment
3.double click "log on as a batch job, add the administrative user you want to assign on the OEM.
Hope this works for you.

to use you phone a bluetooth modem (only), you don't need to install pcsuite.
Pair your phone with pc/laptop.
Enable remote sim, let your phone always show itself other device(dicoverable).
Set you laptop as authorised in your phone so that it connect automaticaally (you don't need to click yes, yes......)
Pc should dectect generic serial port, generic bluetooth modem etc
Enable DUN in blutooth device property(pc)
Create a dailup connection.
In phone no field type*99#
Username and password-blank or call your operator if required.
Done
Click on dial

Disabling Auto-Load option on Context Window

Greetings to everyone,
I have a request for something we have been working on for the school district I work for and we are currently at an impass on this matter. We have a restricted account for students to use. One problem we are running into is that students will tell the program to "Open at Login" on the computers. I would like to know if there is a way to disable this option on the cotext window for items on the dock.

Thanks, locking the file loginwindow.plist did the ticket for me. I had been struggling with this for a while and did not notice that the file there would be the one that was being opened. I do not have a com.apple.loginwindows.plist but there was one without the com.apple part at the bottom which did the trick for me.

Acrobat Reader XI addon gets disabled periodically in Internet Explorer within Windows domain

We have a followig problem that happens on new workstations with Windows 7 x64 and Acrobat Reader XI only.
Every few days (cca 3-30) the following key is automatically added to registry:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Settings\{CA8A9780-280D-11CF-A24D-444553540000}
This key has the effect that Acrobat Reader XI gets disabled in Internet Explorer add-ons. So when user opens PDF in IE (or SAP or other Windows software using IE), it is not opened within IE but in a new separate window.
Can you please suggest what can be the reason for this, like group policy etc.?

Shut down the notebook. Tap away at f10 as you start the notebook to enter the bios menu. Under the Advanced or Diagnostic tab you should find the facility to run a tests on the whole Hard Drive. Post back with the details of any error messages.
