Problem disconnecting headphones x3-02

When I disconnect my headphones (standard nokia issue), the headphone icon does not disappear, the phone will keep operating as if the headphones are still there. Meaning that I can not use my phone in the normall way unless I swithch it off and on first. Can anyone help me solve this?

Sounds like a physical issue and best course of action is to visit a Nokia Care Point ! You could try re-installing the latest firmware using Ovi suite first, but a repair shop and your warranty are probably the best solution.

After Disconnecting headphone adapter, Veer stays in headphone mode

The issue arrises when I disconnect the magnetic headphone adapter. From that point on, the phone still thinks that the headphones are still connected. If I try to make a call, I can not switch the audio control away from headphones, thus I can't hear the caller.
The only solution that I have found is to completely reboot the device.
Any solutions for this issue?

Oh geez, here we go again with "stuck in headset mode" problems with webOS hardware. I am very sorry to hear that, mapenn. You're the first user I know of with this problem since the days of the Sprint Palm Pre. I thought that HP/Palm fixed that problem is later hardware releases. Guess not. On the Palm Pre phone it was actually a hardware problem with the headphones jack. But on the Veer, you don't have a built-in headphones jack, it's on the magnetic adapter. I wonder if the magnetic adapter is going bad? I know this is improbable, but do you know anyone who also has a Veer? I'd like to see if you can test another magnetic adapter on your phone.

Problem w/ headphones

I have a problem using my new headphones with my 5g iPod. Every time the headphones are adjusted slightly in the headphone jack, the iPod thinks the headphones are disconnected and pauses whatever's playing. The problem has gotten worse since I updated to the newest firmware, and now the problem is very frustrating. I was wondering if there was anyway I could stop my iPod from pausing without having to physically modify anything.

Seems it is a hardware issue e.g. poor contact of the iPod phone jack.

How to properly disconnect Headphones from Ipod Touch  Headphone Jack

I just wanted to know if there's a way to properly disconnect the headphone plug from the Jack on the Touch,
I heard that the metal contacts in the jack can be flatten out (How would that happen?), I dont want something like that to happen, especially sine i recently got the new iTouch.

Sorry If i seem paranoid, My last Ipod touch jack stopped working and i dont want the same thing to happen again. These Ipods aren't cheap you know...

From my knowledge, jack problems are mostly caused by snagging the cable and stressing the jack in the iPod. To disconnect just pull straight out.

E63 does not disconnect headphones

Occasionally when I remove the headphones from my phone the headphones symbol remains active. I have tried changing profiles to see if that deactivates it but it doesn't. The only way I have found to disconnect it is to turn off the phone and then back on. Anybody else having this problem and know ho to get round it.

My e5 was doing the same thing.
In my case the solution was to very gently bend back one of the contacts in the headphone socket. If you look into the headphone socket there is a small gold contact near the top of the hole. I think it was failing to spring out properly when the headphone jack was removed so the phone thought that the headphones were still in.
With a very fine flat head screwdriver I gently pried this contact point (slightly towards the centre of the socket). Only a very small adjustment was required and the phone instantly recongnised that the headphone jack had been removed. You don't need to take the phone apart.

Two problems, disconnecting and extremely slow internet at a certain time of the day.

My first problem started to occur since the beginning of this year, after I've upgraded from 1MB/s to 3MB/s. EVERYDAY at 2:39 PM EST or sometime around there, my internet would disconnect (most common at 2:39). It would take some 5-20 minutes to reconnect by itself. I go to 192.168.1.1 and go to broadband connection and press disconnect, then reconnect to get myself back on asap. It would take me a few tries disconnecting and connecting to get the internet back up. I probably do disconnect during other times of the day, such as night time but I don't notice it as much because I am not using the computer at the time.
My second problem is slow download speed at night. As I said, I have a 3000/667 kb/s connection. My internet connection speed is normal during the day time .. but when I ran a speed test during night time, I get around 333 kb/s download and 600 kb/s upload. So, my download speed drops significantly at night and my upload speed is normal.
I am using a D90-327W15-06 modem and I am not using a wireless connection.

#1 Is wireless in the router enabled?
#2 If so, to question number one above: What level of wireless security is it set to ( WEP / WPA )?
#3 Did you try connecting your modem to the NID?

Ipod touch 1G (3.1.3): notes problems+disconnects when i check 'sync notes'

Hi everyone, I got this ipod touch 1G and recently upgraded it to the 3.1.3 firmware. Lovely update to the clock and the calculator, but it screwed my notes!
First thing i noticed was that I couldn't open many of my notes; it returns to the home screen when u tap on a note. The notes that could open, opened up to the wrong note! (select note A: note B opens up!)
second thing i noticed was that I could no longer WRITE any notes. This is a major problem for me. New notes just don't get written and i am ejected to the home screen again.
3rd thing: cannot delete existing notes.
4th when i check 'sync notes' in itunes(9.0.8), it just refuses to sync when it reaches notes, saying that "itunes could not sync notes to the ipod because the ipod disconnected"
Have tried:
Restarting itunes +doing hard restart on ipod touch. <fixed the sync notes option unchecking itself.
Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance!

Problem with Headphone socket

There is some problem with the headphone socket of my nokia lumai 920. One headset is not working. But the headset is working fine in other phones.
What is the possible solution for this?

Problem With Headphone Jack

The headphone jack on my ipod is faulty. I think there is a connection problem in the jack of the ipod.
I know it isn't the headphones because i have tried various pairs of headphones.
I got in touch with the place i brought it from and they said to go to Apple directly.
Does anyone know what i have to do to get my ipod repaired? Contact email? Address to send it to?
Any help would be appreciated.

I to had a problem with my headphone jack. Here is the problem with the iPod headphone jack (or with anyheadphone jack for that matter) Say you like to take your iPod out side, or you leave it in a humid area with the headphones out of it. Very very very small amounts of water will build up in the jack, and this slowly, after about a year coorodes the copper inside. This has happened to two iPods that I have had. Now the only real problem is that, if what i explained above is your problem, it is not covered under the apple warrenty or the apple care program. If you do have to get a new iPod, I would highly suggest getting an Otterbox Water Proof case. It is bulky, but it will save you a lot of money.

HELP: S10-3 Audio Problem - Dolby Headphone

I have recently purchased a Lenovo S10-3 laptop.
One of the features that I noticed is virtual headphone surround sound by Dolby.
The problem that I have is that when I enable it, the volume becomes unbalanced. The left headphone speaker plays twice as loud as the right one. The sound quality is much better with it on and I really want to use it, but I cannot because of this problem. I tried individually adjusting speaker volume, but there is a significant loss of audio quality and surround effect if i do so, not to mention that the sound then becomes unbalanced again if I use the volume control.
I am using Windows 7 and the Win7 Drivers supplied with the laptop.
TL;DR: Left Speaker Louder than Right with Dolby Headphone Surround enabled.

This happens with any and all headphones.
My Realtek Control Panel looks different from that picture.
My one looks like this. (for both versions of the windows 7 driver)
The driver from the website is version 6.0.1.5989
The driver supplied with the laptop is version 6.0.1.6113
I am not sure whether this feature exists in earlier drivers and whether the problem exists in Windows XP.
My ancient PC sound card only works properly in XP, but I would not expect a new PC to have problems with windows 7 drivers.
Below is the closest matching image that I could find online. While mine looks slightly different, this is the feature that I am having problems with.

The feature works similarly to Creative's CMSS 3D, but in addition to expanding the sound, the centre channel (L+R : Vocals and bass) seem to be panned to the left, and that is the problem.
The driver from the website does not have this feature. It seems it was included in the newer version, but not coded properly.

Must disconnect headphone from front jack to get sound from rear jack

p7-1446s, win 8.1-
Amplified speakers connected to "Rear Speaker Out (black) port"
Headset-Headphone/Microphone connected to front panel ports.
No matter how I enable/disable "Playback(s)" from Sound Control Panel, I can not get Rear Speaker sound
unless I physically disconnect the front headphone. Also, Sound will always comes through headphone
no matter what Playback output is selected.
Other than that, sound is OK.
Any suggestions?

I understand you are having issues with your audio coming out of your headset no matter the setting you choose on your computer running Windows 8.1. I would recommend that you ensure your audio driver is up to date. Your system uses the IDT High Definition Audio Driver for Windows 8.1. If this does not work you can also try the audio troubleshooter from Microsoft and see if that can resolve your audio issue.

Strange audio problem w/ headphone jack.

Since updating to 5.1.1, I have an issue that while I use the headphone jack to connect to the audio input of my car, there is no sound at all from the car speakers. Tried everything and nothing.
Here is the kicker, I plug in the power and the left side.
Oddly enough, my Nano (with LCD screen) behaves the same.
The use of the Apple headphones is not a problem.
Ideas?

That did not help. As stated, had this issue with the iPod nano and not with the phone till updated to 5.1.1

I plug in a stereo headphone that is not the longer apple one and no sound comes out unless I plug in the charger an then it's only on one side.

Problem disconnecting (ejecting) ipod

I just reconnected my ipod to my mac. it's been about 2 weeks since I last connected it. It is done syncing and when I try to eject it gived me error message "the ipod cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application". There is nothing else running or open on my computer. HELP!!!

I too have a similar problem and it is a major headache as I hoped to take the iPod overseas tomorrow but all I can see on the iPod screen is "Do not disconnect" and a locked padlock symbol.
Are there any fast and furious solutions 'coz I need them.
I tried to recharge the iPod by connecting it to the Mac Pro. The usual "Do not disconnect" message appeared on the iPod but after a some time nothing seemed to progress (eg no recharging indicator).
Then I tried iTunes and it loaded fine but did not display the iPod as being mounted.
(It has been a bad week or two on computers in this household. Is anything flying down the wires? The reason I ask is that there seem to be major performance hangs when the PC or Mac Pro are connected to the internet (before the pC was toasted that is))
