Problem display query in web

Hi experts
We trying to see query to the web, from query designer we are klicking to display query to web, but that open only balnk page.
Also need a detail or step by step help link for WAD
Please help me and get points

Hi,
I am trying to see my report in the web like how I do in BW 3.5.
The sytem taking me to the Browser. But the page is not displayed. The normal cannot display HTML page.
I think I need to configure BEx broadcaster for this.

Problem Displaying Query Result

I have been working through David's book 'Dreamweaver CS5 Training from the Source' and am attempting to adapt the tutorials for my own ideas.
My problem, I believe is in displaying the results of a database query. I want to display to the user a list of group names they are associated with.
The query looks like this:

                               WHERE user_id = $id

I attempt to display the results with:

I have also tried:

In both scenarios I get only one record displayed. (there is more than one record). The records seem to be available to display because if I change the ORDER command I get a different result.

Thank you so much for the explanation of the while loop it was extremely helpful. I was able to get my results to display correctly by including the echo statement in the while loop.
I spent several hours trying to use the array_push command with no success. I did explore the link you provided, but found many of the examples people gave to be very complicated. I would really like to start working with this command, if you would be able to provide me with an example based on my query and I can see it working I can start varying it to some of the more complicated methods given in the link.

Problem with the icon "Display query on the web" in Query Designer

Hi Friends,
         I was told by my PM to give them all FI Modules standard business contenet reports, so for that reason i have installed all FI business content & loaded the data in the Dev Server, now i just want to show the reports, but i want excute these reports in Internet Explorer using the Icon "Display Query on the WEB" in query designer, when i click on that it isn't getting displayed in the browser.
         the URL coming like this, "http://itcchqbd:8100/sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=EN&bsplanguage=EN&CMD=LDOC&INFOCUBE=0FIAA_C11&QUERY=0FIAA_C11_Q0001&VARIABLE_SCREEN=X&DUMMY=1"
getting the message in the page, the page can't be displayed,
          How to solve this problem & how do i have to show the standard business content reports to all FI Superiors ?

Balaji,
first check if you have enabled web reporting on your BW server ( there is a how to paper for the same )
another way to check out the same is to find out if there are existing web templates being published which would make the server web ready.
As for FI content - activate the FI relevant areas in Business content and then activate the respective datasources and then load the data.. or go trough the best practices for BW-FI ( service.sap.com/bestpractices) wnd then activate the best practices for the same.

Displaying a BW query in web interface

Hello People ,
I am trying to see a BW query in a web interface . I will tell you how am I doing it . I run the transaction RRMX which opens an excel sheet and gives me a tol bar from which I open a query . Then I choose info areas from the next window and it shows me a tree structure with two nodes
1) Financial
2) Industry sectors
I expand industry sectors > retail > staff works
This takes me to two nodes
1)       operational
2)       sales infocube
I expand sales infocube and this takes me to a couple of nodes
1)       Key business driver
2)       Manager forcasted sales
3)       Productivity data source
4)       .
5)       .etc
I select key business driver and choose the CHANGE icon from the toolbar . This opens the query designer . There I have an icon in the toolbar which says display quey on web . I click that and it attempts to display the query in internet explorer .
Now the problem is the the message that appears on the browser is
Warning sign : variable OFPER for characterstic fiscal year/period has been converted to required entry .
Error sign : Error when generating data provider .
Now my question is what does this message mean ?Does this mean that the required content that I am trying to access has not been activated or there is some configurational issue ?

Hi Deepak,
It means that there is a selection screen for Fiscal period in which you have to enter the Fiscal Period. Only for the Fiscal period for which you entered the data would be displayed.
But the best way to create teh web report is to goto Web Application Designer -> Drag and drop the "Table" webitem on the right hand side -> Assign the Query to the web item. Now execute it in browser from the Web Application designer. Copy the link and use it whenver you want it.

Problem with hierarchy variable while displaying query in Portal

Hi,
I came up with an problem with a query in the portal. The problem is :
I have one query which is displayed in the portal. The Query has hierarchial selection criteria. I am executing the same query using analyzer. Its taking the variable from the selection and displaying it on the analyzer. I have used the option to " display the query on web " from the BEX query designer. From there its opening and displaying the results with the given selection criteria.
Where as when i open the query seperately in portal, its not displaying the results.
I came to know from one of my colleague that the porblem is with the Web item and the hierarchial variable declared in WAD was different from the variable declared in the BEX Query designer.
I never Worked with WAD. I tried finding out the variable definition. But i was unable to find out where the Hierarchial variable was defined.
Please help me out regarding the same.

BI Authorization problem query in web

Hello Guru,
i have authorization problems to execute query on the Web.
When i try to execute query on web i have these messages:
- Missing display authorization msg R9 108
- Missing authorization to execute query msg R9 108
- User doesn't have authorization for selected component
Component selected can not be executed
Contact person responsible for the authorizations if user need authorization to execute this component
Function is checked with object "Business explorer - components" with these fields:
    - InfoCube ZSD_007
    - Component type ERP
    - Component ZTEST_SD_007
    - Activity 16
Message number BRAIN 800
In BI i have add to my usere all these profiles and role, but the problem still again:
Profiles:
SAP_ALL
S_A.SYSTEM               System administrator (Superuser)
S_RS_ADMWB_A        All Administrator Workbench Authorizations
S_RS_EXPL_A             All Business Explorer Authorizations
T-BS590005                  Profile for role Z_RS_RREPU

Roles:

I can not understand if this problem is related to BI authorization or maybe something in Netweaver

i can execute query from transaction RSRT, anyway also from this transaction when select "ABAP WEB" , web page is open but i have same authorizations problem.
In transaction SU53 seems everithing correct (i have all authorizations) .... this is probably becouse my problem is in Portal or netweaver side and not in BI ???
any suggestion?

Character in chart of bw query display error in web browser

our system is unicode system,default language is chiniese(ZH)
our IGS patch level is 11
system basis release is 700 patch 13,and BW patch level is 15
everything is ok
but when we execute the query in WEB browser,the chart display error like the image below:

Displaying query view name in web template.

Hi all,
In the standard web template (0ANALYSIS_PATTERN) there is a text box which displays the query title. I need to change this so it displays the name of the query view instead of the query. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Nick,
In the template you need not to do any special setting for Query View Name display.
When You use a query view in template that becomes as a data provider, so for every data provider whether that's a query or query view it works same.
You can select to display query technical name or description.

Display Bex Query in Web

Hi,
I want to display the Bex query directly in web.What are the possible ways that i can do, for the user to view the report in the web.Can anyone tell me how to configure RRMX in this case or how to do the settings for user to navigate from user menu to the required BW report directly from the SAP work bench.?I have tried linking from User Menu where the java servlets blocking the navigation.? Do i need to follow any configuration for this too?

Hi,
There are multiple ways to display the query in Web:
->Web Analyzer: In the query designer you need to click on the web symbol it will take you to run the query in web in the explorer. For this your server need to be setup contact your basis team for the same.
->WAD: After creating a query, you can display the same using Web application designer. Here you need to check the Java Settings to be installed.
->EP: You can copy the link generated from the query can be copied and displayed in the Enterprise portal.
There is a search option available in the SDN , you can search for more information regarding the same.

As I understand, you want to add the field to display in Query Result Web Part in SharePoint 2013.
Which web part does you use? Content query web part or search results web part?
If you use search results web part, you could edit the discussion board result template and add the updated field in the template.
You could go to Design Manager: Edit Display Templates (site setting-> look and feel->design manager->edit display template), download the Discussion Item.htm file, and edit the file.
After editing, upload the file.

Error while running a Query on webi

Hi Folks
I just installed a BOBJ edge standard 3.1 and trying to configure and test it the very first time, I have following issues if you can advise the solution., I would really appreciate.
1. when i try to create a test query on Webi Rich Client and and run query, I get the follow messge:
A databse error occured. The database error text is : [Microsoft] [ODBC Microsoft access driver] could not use (unknown);
file already in use (WIS 10901)
2. The other issue I have is that when i create a test query on the webi (infoview side) and try to run the query I dont see any result like column, rown or fields, all I see is a solid yellow block which I believe is because of kmissing Java connector. can you guys pls let me know if this is the reason I dont see the report or Is there any other reason for that.
I would appreciate your help on this.

What type of database did you build your universe on? Access? SQL Server? or other? You would need to go into the universe you are trying to use for the report go into File, Parameters, and see what your connection is, and while you're there, click "test" to be sure it is working. If not, that is your problem. If it is, but the report still is not working, either way, you will need to go into Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Data Sources (ODBC) and set up a system DSN that links to the correct database. Again test it to be sure it works. Then make sure the universe has a connection that uses this same DSN. The report should run.

Many to Many - display query result?

In a help desk app, the manager can assingn more than one technician to a project.
Whe he or she assigns a project, the tech ID & project ID are inserted in a junction table. This works fine.
The description, assigned date & due date field are static- the resolution (textarea) needs to be added to as the project progesses, as well as hours spent by each tech.
I am running into problems displaying what the technician sees on their "contol panel".
When the tech views the details of an ongoing project, I am getting cartesian product results.
The tech needs to add to the resolution (textarea), view who else is working on the project, and how many hours each has contributed.
The project display page query:
SELECT DISTINCT project_ID, project_num, project_desc, project_res, assign_date, assign_time, due_date, complete_dte, complete_time, assigned,
tech_1_hours, tech_2_hours, tech_3_hours, tech_4_hours, tech_ID, junc_tech_ID, junc_project_ID
FROM main_projects, lookup_tech, junction_project_tech
WHERE tech_ID = #Session.user_id#
AND project_ID = #URL.project_ID#
AND project_ID = junc_project_ID
AND tech_ID = junc_tech_ID
And the math;

The project display repeats itself for every technicain-
Any help with this would be greatly apprecaited.

Will all Students have exactly two Teachers?
If not picture your sample with two more Students.
One having 1 Teacher
One having N Teachers
Think about N, what will it be? - How would you create a table with N columns?
If you can't easily answer above, re-consider what you are trying.
That said, it could still be done - even if all Students do not have exactly two Teachers - and is called Pivot a dynamic number of columns.

" Network Access Message : The website cannot be found ".
Source: DNS error.
Why this error is coming.

All the configurations are in proper shape.
We need to change any IP adresses or proxy settings in the Internet explorer (Tools -> Internet options -> Connections -> LAN settings -> etc.,)
Do We need to configure any server address for getting the output to display on web pages in BI 7.0.
EP is not configured over here. Is that causing the problem.
