Problem Displaying Reports in MSS

Am using Netweaver Portal Version - :"7.00.200611091758"
For HR Reporting am are executing reports in a scenario. There is an intermediate screen "organisational view" where we can select the input for different reports. So for example.
We want to execute a report called - "Phone number for employees" which takes in an input object type Person.
We select this report. This brings us to an intermediate screen which has a number of evaluation paths. These evaluation paths allow us to select different objects i.e Organisation Unit, Person, Position etc. We select Person and execute the report it works. Now if we enter an Organisation unit object it brings us to the selection screen of the report complaining we have entered an incorrect object type.
What we want to do here is to be able to have different organisation views, evaluation paths for each reports. So for example a report only takes in an object type Person . The , intermediate screen only shows evaluation path for person and not for organisational unit or any other object type.
So in summary is there a way of logically grouping reports by objects returned by evaluation paths?

  • Reports iview (no link display when using mss id)

    Hi experts,
I try to add new reports to MSS Reports Iview
I have configured the reports in SPRO ->Personnel
Management -> Manager's Desktop -> Enhancement of Function Codes ->
Define Function Codes,Define Object Type_Specific Function Codes, and
    Define Structure of Function Codes.
After that i can see the report through fpb_launchpad_cust and can
    preview in portal (using administrator).
But when i login to portal using the mss id, i cannot see the link in reports iview.
Is there any other configuration i need to do?
    Thanks for assistance,
    Nanie Arianie

    Hi Anil,
The standard mss report iview (com.sap.pct.hcm.rpt_reportselection) is link to page which i created.
For your info, the MSS user is already using the reporting page. I just need to add one new reports under Time Management.
Is there any other configuration besides define function codes in Manager's Desktop?

I tried resintalling sap but it did not solved the problem. The reports are getting displayed on other pc's but not on my pc.

  • Get delivery number for PO items for complaint display report

    Hi All,
I am working on Complaint Display report, While delivering the line items for a PO sometimes vendor may do mistake and then customer generates the complaint display report to let the vendor know the delivery mistakes. Delivery mistake can be done because of the following:
    1. Charging amount more than was it was mentioned on PO
    2. Not delivering complete quantities and etc.
Now I want to get the delivery items for each goods receipt item.
Information that I have is the invoice number and vendor number and the line item material number.
    Thanks,
    Mark

You can refer to Purchase Order History Table ( EKBE) for this. You can pass the Purchase Order or Invoice number to the EKBE-EBELN and EKBE-BELNR fields respectively. set EKBE-VGABE = '2' ( i.e invoice receipts). EKBE-BEWTP = 'IR' or 'IR-L' ( Po history category).
    Hope it solves ur problem.

  • Problems displaying CR Viewer when using VS2010

When I try to display a form containing reference to a CR Viewer I get the following error message:
*An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details.  The error is: The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.Shared.SharedUtils' threw an exception.*
Other info: Win7 Pro 64 is operating system.  Installed Beta 2 of CR last August and was able to upgrade old CR (Ver 8.5) reports and to display reports albeit by a rather convoluted process.  I created a seperate form for each report, added the viewer, showed the form which then displayed the report.  To display form showing report  the code line = "frm_cr_rpt01.show"
RECENTLY installed CR13 and this is when the problems started.  I can no longer call up the previously running 'report' forms as I get the same error as above.  I have tried adding the CR viewer directly to the 'calling' form and displaying the report with code line= "me.cr_rpt01.printreport" (similar to the process used in VB6) and get the same error.
I can open the CRreport.rpt in solution explorer and data and all report formatting displays just fine.
    Suggestions anyone?

    Moved to .NET SDK forum
Make sure all your references are version 13 now, clean up your app.config file. Search this forum on how to "clean up" your PC if it's the same as the beta PC and then reinstall.
Make sure you are using the 4.0 frame and not the client version.
    Thank you

  • Problems displaying rtf memo fields

    Post Author: Davidm
    CA Forum: General
We use Crystal Reports X to run reports on an Access database with a significant number of rtf memo fields. We use Total Access Memo to allow extended use of rtf within Access as our users require the additional formatting capabilities that this offers.
However, there are considerable problems displaying items like bullet points, tables and hyperlinks in the Crystal Viewer with tables in particular coming out in a real mess with all entries in the table being displayed in a list with a small square marking each cell at the end of each line.
Curiously, if you preview the report in the full version of Crystal X, it appears a bit better with the hyperlinks still underlined (bullet points still vanish) and rows in rtf tables are at least presented as a row even if the columns are not ordered and mixed (with no bounding cells visible).
Firstly, is this disparity of end result between full Crystal X Print Preview and the Crystal X Viewer fixable?
Secondly, is the limited handling of rtf tags likely to be solved in the next release of Crystal?

    Hi Mathias,
If I caught you correctly, you want to display data in Adobe forms in form of tabel, right?
    So, follow the steps:
    1. Insert one sub form on your adobe form.
    2. Set its type as "flow content" in object->subform property.
    3. Set flow direction as "Table".
    4. Insert another subform inside this subform.
    5. set its type as "flow content" and flow direction as "Table row".
    6. Now, choose binding tab, and there check "repeat subform for each Data item check box" and specify min. count for your rows.
    7. Now, insert your column fields inside this sub form once.
    8. Format its look and feel as you want.
When you run this application, it will show you multiple data as table on Adobe form.

  • Creating Reports in MSS

When looking at SAP Help it talks about specifying which reports can be selected by the manager in the Reporting iView. In Customizing for Manager’s Desktop (MDT), you therefore create an MDT scenario that defines a list of reports to be offered for selection.
However, we have no reports that have been configured in MDT?  Do we need to create some reports for use in MDT so we can use reporting in MSS?
Or is there another way of configuring reports in MSS?
    Thanks
    MN

    Dear King,
Please execute this steps before the executing the steps i have mentioned above, this will activate the reports used for MSS. Then gofor moving the unwanted reports unactive folder. Just what you have to do it select the unwanted report and move it down to the inactive folder.
    1.     In the SAP HCM System choose:
    SAP Easy Access Menu
    Transaction     SE38
    2.     In the ABAP Editor: Initial Screen enter the Program FPB_LP_WRITE_ENTRIES and choose Execute.
    3.     In the Report FPB_LP_WRITE_ENTRIES screen select the MSS Reporting and MSS with Folders options and deselect the checkbox Test Run.
    4.     Choose Execute. The sample entries are entered in the Report Launchpad in the portal.
    5.     Log on to the portal with User manager1 and check if the sample entries are displayed.
    6.     In the ECC system leave the transaction and go back to the SAP Easy Access Menu.
    7.     Enter transaction PWPC_CONV_MDT_TO_LPA in the Command field.
    8.     In the Report to convert MDT table entries to LPA table entries screen, enter the MDT Scenario RPT0 and deselect the Test run checkbox.
    9.     Choose Execute. The list in the next screen shows the reports which have been added to the Report Launchpad.
Do not forget to select MSS with Folders for the FPB_LP_WRITE_ENTRIES report. Otherwise you may get short dumps while editing the report launchpad, because the reports coming from the Manageru2019s Desktop do not have folders.

  • Problem running reports

I finally configured and was able to start the reports server on my Solaris box. The listener is running. When I run a report, either by command line using rwrun60 or from a form using RUN_REPORT_PRODUCT, the report kicks off without error but will not finish. I have to kill the process, and no output results. I had no problems when running from NT, so I'd bet the problem is in the configuration not the report itself. Any ideas?

    I'm still working this problem.
I have a printer configured, and have no problem generating report in character mode and send directly to printer.
I did have to add localhost access to Xwindows with
    $ xhost +localhost
Now I have valid display value.
Unfortunately, still having the same problem. rwrun60 kicks off, but gets hung. I have no problems running forms on the this server. Any other ideas?

  • Authorization-Display report from InfoProvider-ODS

    Hello,
Currently, I got some problems displaying data through the reports which were created from InfoProvider-ODS.
The authorization team already configure the authorization objects. Unfortunately, there was no data display from the queries at all.
One concern related to the authorized configuation is:
from checking authorization for dealer report in ODS model, we use auth. object: ZBPCODE which is dealer id value.
but it's not required only dealer id value, it require "*" for this object.
How do I limit in this authorization case?
    Any suggestion would sincerely appreciate.
    Thank you very much

  • BW reports for MSS via Portal

    Hello,
I'm trying to start BW report from MSS without any luck.
I created a function code for the report with function type BWR3 in R/3 IMG for Manager's desktop.
I Enterd the function code in table T77MWBBWS (the table is not in the IMG !) with :
    object type = 'O', Reference char. = 0ORGUNIT ,
BW rep.temp. ID = ZHR_ZHOP (the tecnical name of the BW report).
When trying to start the report from Portal-MSS i get error message
    " java.lang.NullPointerException "
I don't know if I created the function code correctly (On documentation
only example for SAP Quary Report exist).
    Thanks in advance,
    Pazit Atar.

    Hi Atar,
I am having same issue. I want to integrate custom BI Query in MSS but its giving null pointer exception even after maintaining entries in T77*BW table.
I am hoping that you could have solved issue by now. If yes, please share end to end configuration steps.
Appriciate your help as we are near to Go-Live and became show-stopper.
    Thanks,
