Problem downloading certain apps

I can download most apps to my IPAD. There are a couple that I can't complete installation. Message says to complete installation by logging into Itunes Store on my computer. Still can't download even when logged in on both my PC and Ipad. I see the pending download on my PC's Itunes Store and can complete downloading there, but nothing showing under the download button of my Ipad's download button. How can I complete installation? Thank you.

will then when downloaded show up when you click Apps under
your library
and when you connect your ipad and go to the app tab after having clicked on it
under devices in the left side of itunes sidebar
then you find it on the list and check off to add it to your ipad

I have a 1st generation ITouch. When trying to download certain applications, it says:
Application Not Compatible. This apllication requires the IPhone 3.0 Software Update.
At first, I thought I could only download this app if I had an IPhone, however a friend of mine has a 2nd generation ITouch and she has no problems downloading these apps. PLEASE HELP!

I too am having the problem. I have a 16Gb 1st Generation ipod touch and want to download version 3 of the software. When checking for the latest software on itunes it claims that version 2.2.1 is the latest version!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post it appears that you are using an earlier iPad, which can only update to iOS 5. Some developers do offer compatible versions of their apps for people running older iOS versions, but ultimately it is up to that developer to make an older version. Check out the article for more information about installing the latest compatible version of an app on your iPad.

HT4623 My iPad says my iOS is up to date but it's on 5.1.1 and when I want to download certain apps it tells me I need iOS 6.

I have tried to download certain apps and it keeps telling me "this application needs iOS 6 or 7. But when I go to my settings to update software it tells me that it's up to dat and it's on 5.1.1 so what do I do.?

A first generation iPad cannot be updated beyond 5.1.1.
So you won't be able to install apps that require iOS 6 or beyond.

Adobe aren't much help either. What you have to do is open a web case with the Adobe support team.
I've been waiting since 25/09/09 for them to reset my account which is what you have to do to get it working again.
I know this isn't much help but its a start.
Hopefully it works for both of us if they ever reset the account.

The iOS version is not updated automatically, though if he connects it to his computer's iTunes (if it's a recent enough version) he should be prompted as to whether he wants to update.
He should connect the iPad to his computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to his computer via File > Transfer Purchases. He may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. He can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
He can then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

It will be an App that you personally did not buy using your Apple id ( an App purchase locks the App to the Apple id used to buy permanently, to prevent piracy )
Next time you get the message check which Apps are trying to update ,it will be one or all of those Apps

Yes. But you may still be able to download compatible versions. You will have to download the App to iTunes on a computer or another device that does support the App using the same Apple Id you have on your iPad. Why can I not download certain apps onto my ipod touch, for example Angry Birds Star Wars?
Is it because the ios version is not compatable?
I am running 4.2.1 which is the latest ios version apparently!!

Yes, ABSW requires:
Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 4.3 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
As you found out, there are now not that many apps compatible with the 2G iPod.
SInce you can only redownload the latest vesion form the App store and many apps that were comatible with yur 2G are no lnger compatible
I would delete the apps from your iTunes library and then transfer them to your iTunes library. See:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
In iTunes 11 use Control+B to show the Menu bar then go to iTunes>File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
Make sure that you do not update the app on your computer.

Settings>General>Restrictions>Allowed Content. If you restrict certain content, apps that contain that content can't be installed.

Will not let me download certain apps.

When I try do update certain apps I already have like Angry Birds or Rocket Bunnies it downlads then it says installing and then it says installation unsuccessful. The same also happens when I try to download certain apps like Angry Birds Seasons and Glow Hockey.

JasonYeah, it's called Android Central's Sideloading Wonder Machine and requires a computer. The only other way to get the function natively back on those phones is to "break" the phone and void its warranty.

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

HT201272 Problem downloading an app in iTunes which I purchased through iPad mini. The iTunes try to download the app but it keeps freezing, not only the iTunes but slowing the whole computer.

I am using PC, Windows 7, updated to iTunes11.0.
purchased an app from iPad Mini for free, and then when I open iTunes in windows, it automatically try to download the app, and freezes.
I am not sure what is the problem behind, but the crashes certainly slows down my computer ( i7 quad core, with 3GB ram, after crashing it is slower than a P4 computer....)

I am having problems with downloading an app on my itouch 4th gen app store. When I go to the certain app, the price isn't highlighted as if it isn't compatible with my itouch 4th gen even though it says it is and it fits all the critera. Would downloading the certain app on the computer app store instead of my itouch work or should I try something else?
