Problem downloading pictures

I have moved pictures from my phone to Windows Live Photo Gallery many times. Today I tried on both phones (mine and my husband's) and did not get the pictures--just iconic preloads. The screen "says" it has downloaded the pictures, gives the number in each group but they are not there. What happened? Thank you for any help. Jo

Your topic is saying one thing - +"Problem downloading pictures"+ yet your post is saying something different - +"it just won't show any pictures."+
Which is it? Nevermind. You can't download what you can't see.
Sounds more like a browser issue rather than an OS. Check your browsers mapping settings to see which browser plugins are selected to open photos.
Check the Content tab also. Make sure *Load images automatically* is selected. I do not use Safari or Camino. Unsure if they have this setting but it's worth a check.

Problems downloading picture texts

I am having trouble receiving picture messages and group texts. I get an alert that I have massage and that it is "downloading...". It can take anywhere from 30 mins to an hour to get the picture. When I get a group text it says the same thing even with no picture attached. This morning I received a message at 7am and it finally came through at 8:45am. This all started about 3 weeks ago when I had a Verizon update. I now have to turn my phone off and back on when I receive messages. I have also had trouble sending picture messages, I sometimes have to try 3 or 4 time to get one to go through. This doesn't happen with every message but enough to be a problem. Please help. I have checked my default SMS app and it is set to "messaging". I have also checked that auto retrieve and roaming auto retrieve are selected. Is it possible to undo the last verizon update? I had this happen in the past with two Android phones. For some reason, I wasn't able to send or receive multimedia text messages that had pictures or videos attached when I was at home.
When I checked into it at the Verizon Store's tech desk I was told that my phone couldn't and wouldn't send picture or video text messages over a WiFi network. I was told that it had to send/receive over the data connection only. I rightly complained, why should I waste my data allowance on this when IMO sending it via WiFi was how it should work. I was assured that those messages don't count against my data allowance but against the message plan I had at the time.
When I tried his suggestion it worked great and upon closer examination it didn't take away from my data allowance.
I don't know if all Androids are like this or just those two, and maybe yours if this is the problem, but maybe we'll find out from the Verizon Rep when they post a reply.

I have problems with pictures in hotmail when i use firefox. The pictures still loading and no preview . have to download to my pc to see the picture. i check with other browser like explorer and work fine, it's just with firefox. please any help?

I'm downloading pictures from my cannon camera and the import keeps failing. everytime i open Iphoto. it keeps adding the pics that was interupted from the last download. right now, i have 3000 pics waiting to be imported from my photo library.

Image Capture downloads pictures and creates .aae file

Using Image Capture 6.6 to download pictures from my iPhone 5S to Macbook Air w/ OSX Yosemite.
When I go to the folder where I download the files on my computer, it shows a .JPG file and an .AAE file.
I cannot find preferences for Image Capture to turn the additional download off.
It is doubling file size storage on my computer as each picture has a .JPG @ 600KB and an .AAE @ 600K
I have bulk deleted the .AAE files using Spotlight and searching the file type, but do not wish to continue doing this if there is way to turn this off.

Until a better idea comes along use a card-reader to put the files into a folder, then load them into Apex as a second step. This is not as conveneint as loading directly from the camera, but if the interface won't work you'll have to do somethiing else.
I don't have immediate access to Apex - can you load off a card-reader instead of the camera by specifying the drive to load the files from?
It sounds like more of a Windows problem than Apex. Have you tried browser searches on Logitech and Twain to see if anyone has encountered similar problems?

Problems downloading photos from camera

(I'm not sure I'm using IPhoto 5, I have an IMac G5.)
I am having great difficulty downloading pictures from my digital camera. I have an Olympus camera which I connect to my Mac with the help of a Jessops Universal Card Reader. The card is an X-D one. When I connect the card reader via the USB port, IPhoto opens up but when I attempt to download the pictures I am stuck with the multicoloured "wait" icon. Do I need to clear anything out? I had a similar problem with AppleWorks that was resolved by another user -- see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=822524&tstart=0. Any ideas?

Do you have any large movie files on the camera card. This has caused the problems for some.
Try using Image Capture and see if it will let you download the contents of the card. The following is an explanation of why I use Image Capture instead of iPhoto to download my photos.
When iPhoto 5 first came out I really think it was programmed to import the smaller 30 sec video clips that cameras were taking at the time. Since then, digital cameras, at least my Canon S2 can take clips as large as your memory card can hold. The first time I tried to download my images and movie clips with my new camera, iPhoto stalled at the movie clips. I wasn't going to take any chances messing up my iPhoto Library so I started using Image Capture to download all my images and Movie clips. I actually like doing it this way a lot better. My movie clips are downloaded into my Movies folder where I then put them in a dated folder.
My photos are downloaded into my Pictures folder, where I then put them in a dated folder. I import the dated folder into iPhoto. I also keep all dated folders from photo downloads in the Pictures folder till I get enough Movie folders and Photo folders to fill a DVD. I burn them and then delete them from the hard drive.
This way I have the photos in iPhoto and I also have just the photos backed up to DVD.
The Movies I keep on the hard drive in their dated folders until I use all the clips for my iMovie projects for the Year. I then make sure they are all burned to DVD, then I delete those from my hard drive.
Using Image Capture to download images and video clips:
Open up Image Capture which is found in the Applications folder.
When it is opened, go to Image Capture/Preferences
Under the General button choose
Camera: When a camera is connected, open Image Capture.
The next time you connect your camera Image Capture will open.
In the window that opens you will see an Options button. Click on that button to set your options.
To find out more about Image Capture (it can do a lot more) Click on Help in the menu bar when Image Capture is open.
iPhoto: How to Change the "Open Automatically" Preference
If you find you can't change any of Image Captures preferences or can't access any drop down menus or they are greyed out, check to make sure Image Capture is loose in the Applications folder and not within a sub folder.

I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation. I see you are having problems with your Ipod/Ipad/Iphone, so I will try to find a solution to your problem.
Hard Reset: Hold down the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds or until Apple logo appears
Make sure you have Itunes downloaded
Make sure Itunes is the latest version

Problem displaying picture stored in mySQL

Hello everyone,
lately I have been having some issues when trying to download pictures from my iphone to my iphoto library. Whenever I try to do so this message pops up "The following file could not be imported. The file is in an unrecognized format." Would anyone happen to know why this is happening? I was always able to transfer my pictures from my phone to my laptop before, so I don't know why this is happening now.

if you look at the error message - is the filename mentioned? What kind of file is it? A JPEG? A video?

Download Pictures Script Doesn't Work

Using Automator, I created the standard plugin for Downloading Pictures, as shown on Apple's site. (It's one of the examples given.) I saved it in the Safari Scripts folder. It works with Apple's examples html pages, but often doesn't download pictures at all or downloads only one .gif file from a page with multiple thumbnails. Discouraging! Is there a script that will work on almost any site? How would I write such a script?

Thanks. The rule was there in my firewall, allowing iTunes. I deleted it and added it again and now it works. Strange thing was that before I could still go to iTunes Store.
Anyway, the problem is solved now. Thanks a lot.

Download pictures not recognized in catalog

I downloaded pictures from my camera into the folder where all of the other catalog pictures exist (by date 5/24) and they do not come up into the catalog (as May). After getting photos I get an error message that reads "The ODBC data source returned the following error: (Internal error: Data not found)". I can see the pics in thumnails, but cannot open them with Adobe. Thanks.

I have the same problem. APS 3.2 starter editon worked great for a year. All of a sudden I got the "ODBC data source returned the following error: (internal error: data not found)"
Is there a solution to this problem? What is the Problem??
Adobe is ruining its reputation by not responding to emails or this forum or tech support. I really like the product but would be reluctant to buy any future products from Adobe because of this.\\
