Problem during credentials installation - Adobe Interactive Forms

Hello to all,
  I have got a problem with Adobe Document Configuration. I’ve got J2EE 6.40 Engine SP18 and I successfully installed Adobe Document Service 1.0 SP18. I’ve got credential file *.pfx that, by Installed guide, I put under ~\TrustManagerService\trust\credentials\ directory. The problem that I got is when I try to click on ‘Browse’ button, (Visual Administrator -> Cluster tab -> Server 0 -> Services -> Document Service Configuration,  on the right side screen Runtime-> Credentials) the pop-up window appears with next message :
An error occurred while indexing the credential files:
Com.adobe.service.sap.configuration.ConfigurationException: An error occurred while indexing the credential files:
I have read post Latest NW Sneakpreview SP16 and Adobe Interactive Forms but unfortunately it doesn’t resolve my problem. I would be very thankful if someone can help me, it is quite urgent. Thanks in advance.
  Best Regards,
Aleksandar

    Hello Aleksandar,
    Normally start/restart of the mentioned services (or engine itself) should be enough.
    Are all the components of your engine properly installed on SPS18?

  • Problem with ACF for Adobe Interactive Forms

    Hi Gurus,
    I had created an adobe interactive form using web dynpro for abap, but I am getting the 500 connection timed out error in the browser when I test the web dynpro application. Where as a normal web dynpro application without adobe form is running successfully.
    The system details are :-
         Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0
         NW04S SPS9
         Adobe Reader 9
         IE 7.
    I followed the note 766191 and downloaded and installed ACF(for NW04s and higher version supported upto acrobat reader 9) from browser itself.
    I also followed the note 1150277 for enabling IE settings on ActiveX controls. And I checked in IE with Tools->Internet Options->Programs->Manage Add-ons, but the ACF components were not available.
    Please help me out.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sriratna.

  • Credentials to use adobe interactive form

    Hi
       I see an OSS note that talks about creating a OSS ticket to SAP requesting them for credentials to use an adobe interactive form.
    We are on ECC 5.0 ( WAS 640 ) and intend to generate an adobe interactive form using a combination of adobe livecycle designer ( T.code SFP ) and an ABAP application program that sets the generated pdf property to fillable = 'X'
    Question is - is there any extra licensing code required to get this credentials to SAP.
    Please reply.

    Hi Karthik,
    Please refer to the below note for your reference on Interactive form licensing:
    eason and Prerequisites
    The interactive use of PDF forms may be subject to license under certain circumstances.
    Solution
    Using the tools and using print forms (not interactive) is part of the license of the relevant SAP solution (including NetWeaver).
    If the following three criteria apply to you, you must purchase an additional license from SAP for your SAP Interactive Forms:
    You create templates for interactive forms.
    You create your own customer-specific interactive form templates or change an interactive form template delivered by SAP by adding further interactive fields or changing the data binding of existing interactive fields to the back-end.
               (Such modifications exceed cosmetic changes in form templates delivered by SAP such as adding your own logo or static texts, and are therefore subject to license.)
    You use interactive forms in a productive system, that is, end users fill in generated PDF forms during business operations.
    Note that the additional license also affects interactive forms used by SAP partners (independent software vendors - ISV), who deliver these forms as part of their products developed on the SAP NetWeaver platform.
    Current information about licensing is also available on SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/Adobe --> FAQs.
    The license for SAP Interactive Forms is an official SAP license. For further details, consult your contact person in your local SAP sales office.
    Regards,
    Arafat

    No problem with the first view.. displays everything...
    The Problem is when i click the button to nsvigate to the 2nd view, its not loading...
    Wait symbol is coming...
    Please Help me friends...

    hi ,
    pls use  the ZCi layout for the adobe interactive form .
    Need to Insert the web dynpro script to the form.
    Note: Make sure to upgrade the Adobe Interactive for ZCI type using SFP_ZCI_UPDATE transaction
    Subsequently, check whether the update of the ZCI was successfully completed. To do this, open your form in the Adobe LiveCycleDesigner and check the version information of the ZCI script. The ZCI script is available on the "Hierarchy" tab page under the "ContainerFoundation_JS" name. The version must be800.20080513120641.469612.469346.

    Can somebody suggest me about what could be the problem?... Points assured for helpfull answers.
    Regards,
    Uma

    Hi Uma,
    SP 14 should normally be OK, SP 15 is currently attached to the Note. They are downward compatible. I suggested reinstalling after properly uninstalling, because it has fixed problems before.
    I also looked at your original post again, which mentions the read time-out. This may be related to a general server setting. See my suggestion in this thread:
    SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out - Context Is Too Large
    If all this doesn't help, you'll probably have to create a message on component BC-SRV-FP.
    Kind regards,

  • Binding problem from adobe interactive form to SAP

    Hello All,
    I'm using SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 2.0.9 SAP WAS 2004s SP11.
    I'm tried to exercise with document "How To…Create Online and Offline Forms in Web Dynpro for Java" (you can check it this link https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/4fd2d690-0201-0010-de83-b4fa0c93e1a9). I could run it succesfuly but i have a problem. I couldn't get data from Adobe Interactive form when i click "Submit to SAP" button. All field value return with "null".
    The code is like that;
    public void onActionFormSubmit(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent )
        //@@begin onActionFormSubmit(ServerEvent)
         String name = wdContext.currentTravelDataElement().getEmployeeName();
         String costcenter = wdContext.currentTravelDataElement().getCostCenter();
         String city = wdContext.currentTravelDataElement().getDestinationCity();
         String country =
         wdContext.currentTravelDataElement().getDestinationCountry();
         wdThis.wdGetAPI().getComponent().getMessageManager().reportSuccess(
         "Form submitted: Employe Name="
         + name
         + " costcenter="
         + costcenter
         + " city="
         + city
         + " country=" +
          country);
    What could be the problem?

    hi Selcuk,
    check what is the cardinality of the node that bound to the interactive form.
    interactive form->properties->dataSource = <xyz node of context>
    goto <xyz node of context> -> properties
    just change the cardinality to 1..1.
    goto
    interactive form->properties...
    check that the dataSource and pdfSource are bound to the right Context nodes/attributes...
    hope this helps...
    with regards,

  • Adobe interactive forms First Logon Problem

    Hello All
    we build an adobe interactive form (for sap solution) and we have a very strange problem , the form contains several fields and a submit button that triggers a submit we are using the form in native mode inside IE throw  the sap portal .
    now the problem is that if a user intestinal logon to the xp station opens the web browser and the interactive form and press the submit button  , the vent is not triggered .
    if the user closes the IE browser > opens adobe reader application (without opening any file ) > closes the adobe reader > opens the IE browser and the form again every thing works perfectly .
    so we narrow the problem down to the initial log on and the need to open adobe read application after initial logon .
    how can we solve it that we will not need too open the adobe reader application after initial logon.
    THX
    Ronen

    Which version of Adobe Reader is installed on your system? Also, please let us know which OS and browser are you using?

  • Data Passing Problem with Adobe Interactive Forms

    Hello all,
    I am trying to create a Guided Procedure to implement an offline Adobe Interactive form. This form is based on the standard Requisition Request form used in MSS for e-Recruiting.
    I've copied the standard form and updated the layout to ZCI using the appropriate transaction (not manually). After that, I've changed the Interface and layout. But to get the Form in the portal you need to have a .xpd file. Therefore, I've tested the form in preview mode, saved a copy as a PDF file and opened this copy in the standalone Adobe Lifecycler Designer. In the standalone version you are able to save the form as a PDF (not possible using transaction SFP).
    My question 1 is if this is a wrong approach and there is a better way to retrieve the xpd file.
    Next to that, I wrote a RFC function to retrieve data in the backend. This function is working and now I try to pass the data to the Form in the GP (using prefilling). The data is never passed, any points that I need to check there. The data used to export is a structure that contains a number of table types, because Adobe has issues with importing tables it seems. The form is working correctly in the backend.
    Points will be rewarded for helpfull awnsers!
    Kind regards & thanks in advance...

    HI SWATHI,
                    To run Adobe Interactive form applications we need license.
    Check this [faq    |https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/2a8a0a37-0301-0010-f794-aecd1bb426e0]
    To run ADS we need these [services|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/61/c2d08c48aa4a80a630393fbe316ca5/frameset.htm]
    If everything is fine, then check the browser settings too whether it is stopping to open the Adobe form.

  • Problem setting an Open Password on an Adobe Interactive Form

    Hi,
    I'm generating a series of Adobe Interactive Forms using data pulled from R3 via BAPIs.  The PDFs are created without an issue but I want to put an Open Password on them (a password the user must enter in order to open the PDF).
    From my reading of the APIs the following code should do this, however it doesn't.  The PDF which is created simply has no password protection at all.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
                IWDPDFDocumentCreationContext creationContext = WDPDFDocumentFactory.getDocumentHandler().getDocumentCreationContext();
                creationContext.setTemplate(templateSourceOutputStream);
                creationContext.setData(dataSourceOutputStream);
                creationContext.setDynamic(true);
                creationContext.setProtection("openpasswordalias", null, null);
                IWDPDFDocument pdfDoc = creationContext.execute();
    Edit: My apologies, this should have been posted in the   Expert Forums  » SAP NetWeaver  » SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe  forum rather than here.  I have reposted this question there:

    sure you can. you can create that pdf within a webdynpro compoment with interface. that way information can be passed back and forth between the pdf and the webdynpro context and the gp context. how to create a pdf within webdynpro is very well documented on sdn as well as how to create a webdynpro with gp interface.
