Problem during upgrade

Hello,
I'm in a process of upgrading R/3 4.6c system to ecc6.
the upgrade is ran on windows server 2003 with sql server 2000.
during the upgrade in phase - parconv_upg(already passed phase
modprof_trans) the upgrade process stops with the following error -

i can't go into the system since it is locked (as mentioned earlier - i
already passed phase modprof_trans).the above error appeared in
parconv.elg log file.
please assist asap since this stops the upgrade process.
please let me know if you need to connect to my system - the only way
to connect to the system will be to the server itself - since as
mentioned before - the system is locked by the upgrade process.

Problem during Upgrade 10.2.0.4

Hi Gurus !!!
During upgrade from 9.2 to 10.2 we have install 10.2.0.4 patches and now we are ready to call dbua (upgrade assistant).
When we call dbua an error occurs :

Error message
Failed to load Main Class: oracle.sysman.assistants.dbma.Dbma
We've check enviroments variables and all are Ok.
Any ideas ?

You also need to set the JAVA_HOME environment variable.
For unix after login to the oraSID user
setenv JAVA_HOME /opt/java1.4(java location may differ check in ur system)
then check the version of the java with command java -version
if still you are getting the error
check the metalink

Problem during upgrade of 7.4.1 and now i cant open ITUNES!!!!!

OK so theres the upgrade box popping up. I decide of course ill update now. I click download.... and while im on the internet later on . Something appears saying a problem happened with something to do with the windows... that took 2.mb and the other upgrade took like 50mb. Since it still continued installing i allowed it. Then after it. I exited itunes to see the new features. I click on it and... i get an error saying * Itunes cannot open because it is missing some files. Please reinstall. * IM a lil irritated that an update did that. But wat the **** i just reinstalled and then... while unistalling the same box appears. i X it and the unistallation finishes.
when i restart i install it again( this was my old version 7.1) and during the installation the same stupid box appeared. but the installation continued. When it was finished i took my mouse clicked on itunes and....
THE STUPID BOX IS BACK!!!!!! reinstalling did not help. This ***** i need my musiuc and thats like 800songs that will only work with itunes. PLEASE HELP

Problem during upgrade from 10g R1 to R2 - background color

We are using Oracle 10g Forms , where we will have date and time display in every page of the form. Now we have upgraded the version from 10g R1 to R2.
In R1 , when the date&time flickers the background color will be in white color.
But in R2, when the date&time flickers the background color is in Grey color.
How to change the background color back to white. the date & time display calls the jar file to display the time. No change in the jar file.. I have changed the background color in the property palette of the date&time as white.. but still the problem exist..
Any suggestions or solutions , plsssss.......

TP version problem during upgrade from 4.7 sr2 to ECC6

i am doing an upgrade from 4.7 to ECC6 (ultimately i have to upgrade to EHP4). I am stuck in phase PREPARE module Initialization finished with status failed #. Below is the error i am getting. before pasting log file i tried my best to uprade TP level by upgrading the Patch level. but its not taking effact in to SAP system. If i check TP version in STMS >> system >> Check TP tool it shows me old version.

i downloaded the 47 kernel files SAPEXEDB_304-20001172.SAR and SAPEXE_304-20001172.SAR and installed the kernel file. if i check TP version from command level it shows me 340.16.62, but in SAP STMS it shows me 340.16.03. Can somebody explain what shoulkd i do?
Can i know also if i can update SAP Kernel from 4.7 sr2 to NW7.0 without upgrading even started?
If somebody can tell me the exact number of CDs to use to upgrade from 4.7 SR2 to ECC6 EHp4, that would be very
nice.

number 340.16.05 or higher.
show that the tp and R3trans used by the source 470 system are old.
You should download the latest tp and R3trans for kernel 470, and
replace the old tp and R3trans with the downloaded ones under the 470 kernel directory. The 470 kernel directory is specified by parameter DIR_EXECUTABLE which is usually /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run.
Please note that there is also a kernel directory under /<DIR_PUT>/<SID>/SYS/exe which is for the the target system 700. Please do not replace tp and R3trans under this directory with the ones downloaded for kernel 470.
NO, you cannot update SAP Kernel from 4.7 sr2 to NW7.0 without upgrading even started. Kernel upgrade will be done by SAPup automatically.

Problem during Upgradation from 9.2.0.6 to 9.2.0.8 in production.URGENT!

Let me give you some background..
we were sailing well with our 9.2.0.6 version in Sun 64 SPARC for our Data Warehouse till we hit what is called one million bug!! Segement and extent does not match!! In order to get rid of it we decided to upgrade our Production database from 9.2.0.6 to 9.2.0.8.We tested first in Stage and it was running fine all our ETL job was running without any issues.Then we tried changing some parameter as given below
Parallel_automatic_tuning set to false
parallel_max_server set to 64 from 160.
After making this change we hit a bug in stage which we resolved by applying the patch 5523799.This bug says that oracle gets hit with
ORA-600 [KCBGTCR_3] AND ORA-600 [KCBGTCR_12] WHEN DOING OWB MAPPING
But in production even with this patch applied we are unable to make select count(*). One mistake what what we did,which makes the stage and production processes different is that while making parameter changes in production we changed
parallel_max_server set to 64 from 160 keeping
Parallel_automatic_tuning set to true!!
Then we truncated a Master table with 8 million rows through a job before we realized the mistake.But now nothing is working!! Do you have any idea how to fix the issue.

First off, note that a number of folks around here intentionally avoid posts marked "urgent"-- that's generally considered impolite. Others avoid threads that are cross-posted in multiple forums. Either of those could slow down responses...
What does "unable to make select count(*)" mean? Are you getting an error in prod? Is it the same error you're getting in staging?
Normally, urgent production issues, particularly those that seem to be related to a particular Oracle bug, need to be dealt with by Oracle support. Unless someone here happens to have dealt with this very particular scenario, the best we could do would be to try to read the same Metalink notes you're probably already reading to try to come up with suggestions. In the end, though, it's likely that Oracle Support will need to be involved to figure out what the safe options are.
Also, please understand that we're all volunteers here, so certain types of issues are just outside the scope of what anyone here is likely to be able to help with. I'm more than happy to spend hours reading Metalink notes, building test systems, and testing approaches to resolve issues for a client when I understand the systems in place (and where my hours are billable). I, and most of the other folks around here, can't generally commit that sort of time for free to resolve very specific errors on production systems we don't understand. Even if we had the time, OTN isn't an ideal forum for the sort of back-and-forth that would be necessary before anyone could responsibly suggest changes to make to a production system.
Of course, someone may come along that has hit exactly the bug you've hit and happens to know of a quick and easy solution. If there is no Metalink note that is directly on point, though, I'd tend to doubt that the perfect person will come along, certainly not in the very near term.

Idoc problem during upgrade from 4.0 to 4.6c

Hi All,
Currently we are upgrading our system from 4.0 to 4.6c.
We uses Basic idoc type DELVRY01:it has so many segments which have new definition now in 4.6c, for example segment E1EDL20:- new definition of this segemnt has 3 new extra fields in 4.6c.
Now due to it, whenever we are creating an idoc in 4.6c it comes with extra fields in them.
But after upgrade we want our idoc fields to be same as it was in 4.0.
How we can do it i.e creating an idoc in 4.6c but using the same segment definition used in 4.0.

OLE problem during upgrade

It is still unsolved mystery.
Why OLE is not working after upgarde??
Pls check below thread & I have same problem.
My prog run fine in 46C but in ECC60..it's open MSWORD but did not include table.
I have done & checked all config settings related to SOLE. I thought it could be issue with SAPGUI since we have 620 but then why is running in 46C?

Hi,
without ICM running, you cannot run webreports.
to start ICM you can just do it from SMICM transaction.
Check with your basis people whether they have configured the system to enable ICM, http port ,etc.

Problems during upgrading to iOS6-error 1602

I just tried to upgrade to iOS6 on my iPhone 4S, but just after being prompted that it will be transferred to the phone, an error 1602 interrupted it and now there's no communication between my phone and Windows 7 computer what so ever. My phone isn't responding as well with only a picture of a USB cable pointing to a iTunes icon on the phones' display?

It's just giving nothing, it's as though it's not even existing to the computer. I tried another USB port but it stays the same.Every now and then it turns off and on again, but with the same display of the cable and icon! I upgraded iTunes in the meantime and checked at my Coputers devices and there it states "recovery mode". But still iTunes doesn't pick it up?

MDMP Unicode Conversion problem during ECC upgrade

hi Experts,
I met a problem when upgrade from 4.6c to ecc 6.
in 4.6c, some key users made some chinese written entries in table field while he/she was logon as English, so, the language field in this entry is "EN" although the actual language was written by chinese, after upgrade to ECC6, we found the chinese words became messy code, maybe it was due to the chinese were encoded by english codepage during conversion, my question is, how can I avoid this? I really don't want this happen in our PRD upgrade.
The second question is: if a field contains both chinese and english, then, which language should it be assigned? english or chinese? I'm afraid if we assign this word as "EN" in vocabulary, then, after upgrade, the chinese part will be messy code.

Hi,
you can either use transaction SUMG (manually) to repair the entries ( you have to add the according table - please check unicode conversion guide for details) or you need to change the language key in the table to Chinese if you want the Unicode conversion to convert the data correctly.
To your second question: If the English texts are restricted to US7ASCII characters ("normal" English without special characters) those texts containing Chinese and English words can (and must !) be assigned to ZH, as US7ASCII characters are included in the Chinese code page.

Problem during 11.1.0.7 clusteware upgrade when runnng post upgrade script

Hello,
I have encountered a problem whilst upgrading a 3 node RAC cluster to 11.1.0.7 patchset as follows :-
I ran OUI against the CRS_HOME to upgrade to the 11.1.0.7 patchset. The upgrade completed successfully across all nodes.
OUI then prompted to run the post install script (_root111.sh)_ as root user on each of the 3 nodes in the cluster, so I did the following (in SERIAL order as recommended):-
NODE1 - ran crsctl stop crs
ran root111.sh script
Both the above actions completed on NODE1 with no problems
NODE2 ran crsctl stop crs
ran root111.sh script
'Text file busy' error received on several files during execution of root111.sh script on NODE2 (This may have been due to the fact that CRS processes had not fully stopped when I invoked the script). The result was that the script did not complete successfully (linking , etc) and CRS did not start up afterwards.
NODE1 - ran crsctl stop crs
ran root111.sh script
Both the above actions completed on NODE3 with no problems
The result of all the above is that clusterware on NODE2 is in an inconsistent state and CSS and its dependent processes cannot start . What I need to know is how the best way to get out of this situation and complete the upgrade to 11.1.0.7 on all 3 nodes of the cluster. Can I somehow deinstall clusterware on Node2 and reinstall it again independently of Nodes1 and 3 ???
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated !

Problems during BIOS upgrade - three beeps - help!

Hi.
Helping on a old neighbour computer. Catastrophe.
HP Pavilion P6122f PC.
The computer could not boot.
Decided to try a BIOS upgrade, from 5.11 to 5.22
Computer freezes during upgrade.
Now can't restart, can't access the BIOS, all i hear are three short beeps.
which means: Unable to start flashing (such as when missing a utility or BIOS image)
I really really need to fix this, my neighbour is not rich by any means. I can i reset the BIOS?
