Problem editing after resetting computer
I recently had to reset or reinstall my laptop, and therefore had to reinstall Adobe Premiere Elements 12 as well. Before this it worked fine to import and edit MVI video files from my Canon Powershot SX260 camera, but now when I was about to edit for the first time since the reinstalling, I couldn't import the video files to the editing program.
Before, when I've tried to import AVI files a window has popped up saying I don't have the right codec, or whatever, but now the problem is different as nothing happens at all. I drag the files as usual to PE12 but, well, like I said, nothing happens. The program doesn't seem to react at all. I assume it has to do with some settings having changed after the reinstalling? Well, my computer is a Lenovo ThinkPad. Windows 8.1. 64-bit. I don't know what information is needed exactly. Some help would be appreciated.

I am assuming you are trying to obtain Creative Suite 6 Design Standard? If so you can trigger the download from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=design_standard. After you log into the Adobe Download Assistant it should begin your download automatically. If it does not try again but utilize a different web browser.

Hi All,
I'm getting mad. Just few days ago my Mac died during a skype conversation and it was the logic board, now fully substitute from Apple.
Now I have a different problem, during youte or something that take a lot of memory the temperature grow up quickly and the computer shuw down.
I've tried also to reset SMC but nothing...the temperature is very high (85) and the fan is always 2000rpm...what can i do befor bring back again to apple?

Problem still after reset, etc...
I purchased my 2nd gen shuffle about a year ago, used while running, then had not used it for several months. When syncing thru the USB, it shows that all my songs and podcasts are loaded (when I dragged and dropped) onto my shuffle. When attempting to play, it blinks green and orange alternating for 2 seconds. I've run the diagnostics, and everything works except the sync test. I've restored, updated, and reset all to no avail. when clicking on the help tab, it just takes me to the web page showing the picture of what the diagnostics look like, but gives me no option as to what to do next. Please help.
Wes AIn one of the recent iTunes upgrades, podcasts all defaulted to 'skip when shuffling'.
If the Shuffle is loaded with files that are set to skip when shuffling and the switch is set to the shuffle position, the iPod will freak and blink this way...maybe in this case? -

I have 2 problems:
Problem 1: after resetting and restoring from iTunes backup, i get all the settings back. But my apps didn't. If I download them, would I have my files back? Like my minecraft worlds? I had VERY important stuff
Problem 2: when I want to download a paid app like minecraft, and I downloaded it from the same apple ID, it doesn't say 'free', nor it has a cloud, But it says $6.99. Please help me. I have IOS 7.1.1.

Answer for question 2: follow these steps:
1) Log out of your apple ID
2) log back in

After being connected to a charging source overnight try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I lose the keyboard lighting after the computer sits idol all night. This began with the Mountain Lion installation. A reboot resolves it.
I reset the SMC and it looks fine. I'm not sure if it resolved it, as this problem didn't reoccur every morning. I'll have to wait a few days to know for sure. Thanks for your advice.

You can try restoring your iPad as new using iTunes on your computer. This will load a new copy of the iOS software onto your iPad.
If this doesn't work you may have a hardware problem and will need to contact Apple Support. -

I am trying to do a full Time Machine Backup to a new external disk. The backup starts, and it says "Time remaining about 4 days." That seems like a very long time, but the real problem is that the computer "logs off" after a few hours, and the backup stops. The system preferences are set to "Never" for Computer sleep and Display sleep. The computer does not ordinarily log off automatically, but it has done this twice since I started the Time Machine backup.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard." Note the timestamp of the last such message. Clear the text field and scroll back in the log to that time. Select the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear. Copy them (command-C) to the Clipboard. Paste (command-V) into a reply to this message.
If all you see are messages that contain the word "Starting," you didn't clear the search box.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.

I have a password problem. After importing data and settings from one MacBook Pro to a new one, I have to put my iCloud password in when re-starting the new computer, but the password from the old computer in when waking the computer from sleep. I want to use my iCloud password on both computers consistently. How can I fix this?
The only other place to change a password for the computer login is in Users & Groups preferences. But I don't really know enough here to fix your problem. You can try fixing the keychain:

If you can't access your keychain, or forget your password If you can't get into your keychain file because you've forgotten your password or the keychain file appears to be corrupt, there are a couple of options.
First, if you've forgotten your password, you can use the "Keychain First Aid" utility to make the keychain password the same as the login password. This can be accomplished via the following process:
1. Open Keychain Access (located in Applications/Utilities)
2. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Preferences"
3. Click the "First Aid" tab
4. Make sure the "Synchronize login keychain password" box is checked
5. Close the Preferences window
6. Go to the "Keychain Access" menu and select "Keychain First Aid"
7. Enter your username and password
8. Click the "Repair" button
The second option is to completely delete your keychain then recreate it. This routine is useful if your keychain appears to be corrupt or otherwise inaccessible. This can be accomplished as follows:

2. Click "Show Keychains" in the lower-left corner of the window.
3. Select the problematic keychain from the left-hand pane.

Login as root and perform repair In some cases, problems with keychains can only be resolved when logged in as the root user.
First, you want to enable the root user:
1. OS X Mountain Lion: Enable and disable the root user
2. OS X Lion: Enable and disable the root user
3. Mac OS X 10.6: Enabling the root user
4. Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X
After enabling the root user, and logging in under this account, again open Keychain Access. First attempt repairs using Keychain First Aid, and failing that, delete then recreate the keychain as described above while logged in as root.
Persistently asked for stored passwords If you are persistently asked for passwords in various applications that you have specified should be remembered in a keychain, your "login" keychain may not be active for one reason or another.
Navigate to ~/Library/Keychains/ (this is the Library folder inside your user's home folder). Find the file named "login.keychain" and double-click it.
Failing that, select the "login" keychain within the Keychain Access application and make sure it is the default keychain by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Make 'Login' Default"
Turn off Keychain synchronization in applications having problems If specific applications are experiencing issues when accessing password-protected material, the Keychain may be to blame.

by the way, you can also try to safe boot up your mac for safe mode. maybe it can work and you can deal with problem there.
for safe boot:
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear). -

Never had any issues except with the latest download that tell is doing some sync over the air with ICloud and that I can go to my Iphone and change that. Go to Solution.I solved my problem myself. I reset my phone again and restored the backups again. Now i can see the images in the gallery.

did ae install without problem? check the install logs to be sure (Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC)
