Problem emailing pictures taken on iPhone

I have what looks like a double fault problem with emailing pictures taken on the iPhone that I hope someone can help me resolve.
A user reported to me that he cannot email pics taken on the his iPhone and also has trouble forwarding emails with attachments, including .Doc files.
I took his iPhone and mine (both 3gs with iOS 4.0.1) and set up his account on my iPhone and a test account on his iPhone. Both his account on my iPhone and the test account on his iPhone could not email a picture taken on the phone except in the smallest size. The larger size messages just sit in the outbox through repeated send/receive operations.
However, with my account restored to my iPhone I can send the same picture used in the test at the largest size.
I tried a network reset on the user's iPhone without changing the outcome. As part of my procedure I also power-cycled both phones after deleting email accounts before adding new ones.
Other things to know: I've rebuilt all the Exchange 2003 virtual directories and done other server troubleshooting for other iPhone problems and am confident the various permissions and other settings are correct. We have about five iPhone users and no other user has reported this problem. However, a couple of users need to have "days to sync" set to "no limit" or I get large numbers of HTTP 500 event log errors. Other users have "days to sync" at the default setting with no problems.
Has anyone else encountered the scenario I've described and been able to resolve it?

Here is the fix that fixed the fix we were in (thank you Microsoft!):
We need to ensure the permissions on the %temp% folder on all your Exchange servers (Both FE and the problematic BE) are set as below:
- System - Allow Full Control
- Authenticated users - Allow Read & Execute , List Folder Contents , and Write
"System" was listed but not "Authenticated Users". Right after I added it I got a message that someone's iPhone had been trying to send me for over a month.

  • PS CC crashes when editing panoramas or HDR made in LR CC from pictures taken by iPhone 5c.

PS CC 2014 crashes when editing panoramas or HDR made in LR CC from pictures taken by iPhone 5c. It is consistent. I have tried several different settings but does not get this to work. Seems like the import from LR to PS is not working as good as it did with LR 5 and CC2014. Anyone else seen anything like this? / Ola

    Hi again,
I have deinstalled all versions of PS and reinstalled CC 2014. Updated the Graphic driver to the latest version. The system configuration is given below, processor etc. After reinstallation I have tried several combinations of import from LR to PS. It does not matter if it is a dng or a NEF raw file PS keeps crashing when I try to edit the imported file. See attached screen dump. Stressful… I have now tried everything I can think of and nothing has improved the situation so far. / Thanks Ola

  • Emailed photos taken with iPhone not being received

Emailed photos taken with iPhone not being recieved.
Photos I have taken with the iPhone and then emailed are never received. I have sent them to two different yahoo accounts and neither account received the photos... I sent both using EDGE and WIFI... Same trouble with both...
Any idea why this feature is not working ?
    Thanks,
    -Frank

    Now it's magicly working.... maybe....
I did as you asked and sent myself emails from my iphone and nothing was received.... tried sending to my yahoo account and my work account... did this 3 or 4 times and nothing was received and nothing was shown as being sent... even though I caould hear the "sent" sound each time....
I then tried sending to my personal and my work accounts and also added one of those to the "CC" line... so that email had 2 email address in the "To:" line and 1 eamil address in the "cc:" line... That one worked just fine !!! got it twice in my personal account and once in my work account.
I then tried emailing the same photo that I had tried before and it too worked correctly...
The only itmes that have shown up in my sent box are the last tow... the email with multipul addresses and the photo that I sent right after...
So... it appears to be owrking at the moment...
Thanks for your help... I'm not sure why it's working now.. but at least it is...
    Thanks for you help,

  • Pictures taken on iPhone won't load on iMac

My parents and I both have an 4G iMac and iPhone 3Gs. Recently I had issues with pictures taken on my iPhone not loading into iPhoto, or the phone even being recognized as a camera. I verified this using image capture. After doing all kinds of things my phone will randomly be seen as a camera and I can load pictures. I showed an Apple Genius and he said that it was a software problem and needed to restore the phone and not recover from a back-up but just put my apps and such on that way. Being stubborn and thinking him wrong I have found ways to make my situation work for me. Well, this week my mom called asking why she couldn't load pictures. I messed with her phone and computer and it is doing the exact same thing as mine. She doesn't have any of the apps I do. This has to be an Apple thing. Anyone else have this issue or have any suggestions? Sorry for the long message, just wanted you to know, I am pretty good on a computer and can usually make things work but for some reason cant this time.

Are any of the pics in your camera roll pics that were saved from emails, mms or through Safari? If so, that's your problem. You can email them to yourself, if you want to save them, and then delete them from your camera roll or just delete them directly. If you have such pics & delete them from your camera roll, iphoto should see your phone fine now.

  • Why can't I email videos taken with iphone 4 from my mac

Why can't I email videos taken with my iphone 4 from my Mac? It says the video is to big or long but the particular one I am trying to send is only 1 min 16 sec long. I don't remember having this problem with my 3gs. I am trying to email them with my yahoo act, and I see this very same question was asked July of 2010, but their are no replies. It may be a very simple fix, but I can't seem to figure it out. Surly, I don't have to reduce my videos to 30 sec or less to get them to send. Can anyone please help a gal out?

  • How to transfer pictures taken with Iphone on my PC?

Hi, I just don't know how to copy or transfer pictures taken with my iPhone on my PC.
I know to do it the other way round (pictures taken with my photo camera and transferred on my PC); to copy pictures from my PC on my IPhone.
A friend of mine has the same question, so maybe somebody can help us both out? Thank you

  • Is there a way to control the size of the pictures taken by iPhone?

The photos taken by iPhone are fairly large photos and require quite a bit of time for transfering when taking hundreds of photos.  Is there any settings in iPhone that can control the size of the pictures being taken?  Thanks

Sorry, no. You might try looking in the App store for a third-party app that provides this functionality, but such is not natively built into the iPhone.

  • Quality difference between picture taken with iPhone 4 and 4S when sent to iPad?

Is there quality difference in picture if it's taken with iPhone 4 and sent to iPad via iMessage or if it's taken with iPhone 4S? Or does the software compress the images so that it doesn't matter if the 4S has better camera because both will be compressed to equally small file size?
At least video quality is compressed so badly when sent via iMessage that it's unwatchable in iPad. Picture quality seems "ok" when sent from my iPhone 4, but I'm thining if 4S would be able to send images in better quality.

Yes, but iMessage will always "optimize" videos (= make the file size small and quality bad), does it make the same process for images too? If it does, then the slightly better camera doesn't matter because both will be compressed to same low quality file.

  • Dpi for pictures taken with iphone

I am trying to send a picture taken on my iphone to a contest. I need to know how many dpi's the pictures are. Can someone tell me?

iPhone camera pics are 1200 x 1600 pixels. Dpi (dots per inch) is only relevant when printing - usually the requirements for photos specify a dpi and a size, i.e. an 8x10 image at 300 dpi means an image that's 2400 x 3000 pixels.

  • Retrieving pictures taken with iPhone after 3.1.1 update

My phone stopped showing up in "My Computer" as soon as I upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1.1. Two different computers, 3 different cables. Windows Vista.
My husband's phone went straight from 3.1 to 3.1.2 and his still shows up on the same 2 computers with the same cable.
The only thing I can think of that makes sense is the 3.1.1 update. He skipped it, I didn't.
I am now on 3.1.2, but I still don't see my phone as a hard drive.
    Any thoughts?

I have confirmed deleting all Photos/Videos not taken by the iPhone stored on the Camera Roll on the iPhone fixes the problem where the iPhone doesn't mount as a Camera Device under My Computer. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit on my Desktop PC. Good Find!
I was previously running Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bit on my Desktop PC and did not have this problem.
My Laptop is Windows XP Media Center Edition (yes it's an old laptop) and it too had the same problem until after the deletions. Interestingly enough I didn't realize the Laptop had the problem as I had a iPhone device showing up in My Computer but this was as a result of installing and running the "Xilisoft iPhone Transfer" application. That software intalls it's own device driver for the iPhone and it shows a iPhone device mounted all the time even if the iPhone is not plugged in.
This is such an obvious problem with Apple's device driver that I hope that Apple knows about it and is planning on fixing it. I did call into Apple Care before I found this thread and they were not very helpful at all. Their tech even admitted to not really knowing anything about Windows. He said he was more of a Mac guy. Figures, I suspect Windows iPhone users probably out number Mac iPhone users 10 to 1 and that they'd have some Windows tech's available, Oh well.

I have taken over a hundred pictures with my phone and I can't figure out how to get them off. I have emailed a few but there are far to many to do one by one. Is there another option, or do I have to spend more money on a apple program?

Just use any photo application on the PC that can import photos from a camera.
The iPhone works just the same as any other digital camera that you caoonect to your computer.

  • HT201302 Pictures taken with iPhone 5 cannot rotate once saved in Windows Live Photo Gallery please help

Having a problem after taking a picture. When I email it and cc myself the picture needs rotated. I use Windows Live Picture Gallery and it will not let me rotate them either. Can anyone help.

As long as you've backed up your photos, what you use is really a matter of personal preference. To avoid duplicates, pick one program. Getting rid of duplicates that you already have is probably going to mean going through the photos one by one.
For problems with Windows Software, you're probably better off posting on a Windows forum.
    Best of luck.
