  • Emailing pictures via iPhoto from iPad3 arrives at recipient without .JPG extension - is there a fix?

I just installed iPhoto [v1.0.1 (185)] for the first time onto my iPad3.   When I choose to share a photo via email, I can select 1 or more photos and they attach fine and get sent fine.  But the photos arrive in the recipients mailbox with no extension, so their mail client does not know how to open or view the photo.
It works properly when I share photos via email from the Photos app built into the iPad - the extension is there.  But the iPhoto app does not include the extension.
Is there a fix for this?  Is anyone else experiencing this with iPhoto on the iPad?
This is basic functionality - did quality control die with Steve?
    Thank you,
    Paul

Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.

  • Problem emailing photos from iPhoto after installing OS 10.5.1

Since installing Leopard I have had problems emailing photos from iPhoto. I can send from my laptop to another Mac without problem BUT when I try to email pix from iPhoto to a PC user or to post on my Google Group board it only sends the 'title' I gave it in iPhoto or the 'PC134567.JPG' the camera assigns it. I have tried exporting and attaching to emails but that doesnt work either .. at least not all the time. AND when I do send them from iPhoto to my office PC they arrive NOT as an attachment but are embedded in the email message .. seriously what the heck is going on and why is this not working the way it used to pre-OS 10.5.1? What changed? How can I make this work the way it used to?
Thanks for reading and hopefully solving my problem

Thank you again .. I got home and immediately tried the fix you suggested .. sent a 'test' email and it worked perfectly.

  • Emailing pictures using iPhoto

I am trying to email pictures from iPhoto.  I get the message that the email server does not recognize the username/password.  I have two email accounts, so I am not sure which account iPhoto is using and where to look.

In the iPhoto/Accounts prference pane move the account that you want to use to the top of the list of accounts.
Or you can set the mail client in iPhoto's General prefereneces to use Mail as the client:

  • Why can't I email pictures from iphoto

Why can't I email pictures from iphoto

    Because you have a problem
To get help you actually have to share information. Like version of iPhoto, what you are doing, what happens, what doesn't, error messages, etc
Asking total strangers to fix something with no information beyond something diesn't work simply will not get a valid answer

  • I cannot email picture from iPhoto

When I try to send a picture in iPhoto to my email address I get the message that my email and password are not recognized.  How to I fix this?

Delete your email account from iPhoto and enter it again from the iPhoto Preferences > Accounts tab:
If the problem persists, set iPhoto to use the "mail.app" as mail client and not iPhoto. You can change this in the "General" preferences tab.

  • Problems submitting order via iphoto

    Hi,
I have a problem placing orders with iphoto. Ordering procedure ok till sending files. Then nothing happens. Internet, email, itunes, account everything ok. security - firewall ok. husband is having same comp. and no problems with his or my account when ordering prints, calendars or books. on my computer its seems impossible. ilife 08 already removed and reinstalled, problem stays the same. helpdesk till now unable to help me.
I hope some one can help me, and if possible ASAP
    Thanks

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)

  • Problems emailing photos from iPhoto

When using Iphoto to email pictures from the IMac - the pictures reflect the correct pictues emailed on the IMac - however the pictures showing up in the persons email are not the ones I chose to send - for instance if I send 10 different pictures on three separate emails - they come to the person as the same pictures over and over and over.
Or I have also seen where it picks up photos that I didn't even send.

  • Problem emailing pictures taken on iPhone

I have what looks like a double fault problem with emailing pictures taken on the iPhone that I hope someone can help me resolve.
A user reported to me that he cannot email pics taken on the his iPhone and also has trouble forwarding emails with attachments, including .Doc files.
I took his iPhone and mine (both 3gs with iOS 4.0.1) and set up his account on my iPhone and a test account on his iPhone. Both his account on my iPhone and the test account on his iPhone could not email a picture taken on the phone except in the smallest size. The larger size messages just sit in the outbox through repeated send/receive operations.
However, with my account restored to my iPhone I can send the same picture used in the test at the largest size.
I tried a network reset on the user's iPhone without changing the outcome. As part of my procedure I also power-cycled both phones after deleting email accounts before adding new ones.
Other things to know: I've rebuilt all the Exchange 2003 virtual directories and done other server troubleshooting for other iPhone problems and am confident the various permissions and other settings are correct. We have about five iPhone users and no other user has reported this problem. However, a couple of users need to have "days to sync" set to "no limit" or I get large numbers of HTTP 500 event log errors. Other users have "days to sync" at the default setting with no problems.
Has anyone else encountered the scenario I've described and been able to resolve it?

Here is the fix that fixed the fix we were in (thank you Microsoft!):
We need to ensure the permissions on the %temp% folder on all your Exchange servers (Both FE and the problematic BE) are set as below:
    - System - Allow Full Control
    - Authenticated users - Allow Read & Execute , List Folder Contents , and Write
"System" was listed but not "Authenticated Users". Right after I added it I got a message that someone's iPhone had been trying to send me for over a month.

I Have windows 7 on computer and photoshop 7 installed.  Why can't I email pictures?

  • Problems uploading and emailing pictures from iphoto

When I try to upload/connect to facebook in iphoto is says that there is an error and to try again later-it is rejecting my email and password to sign in and connect to my account, even though it is correct.
I also tried to email some pictures and it says I am not connected to the internet and to try again later.
I have tried restarting my mac and searching for updates and nothing is working, I had tried earlier this morning around 9 and it is about 7:20 pm and it is still not working.

    I'm having a similar problem.
I'm trying to upload a picture to FB but I get a message to login, which I do and then it tells me that there is an error connecting to FB and try again later.  I can login to FB via Safari without any issues.
    Any suggestions?

  • Problem sending Pictures via Text to Cell Phone / email

Recently my Brother tried sending 8 pictures to me and my other two Brothers, yes there are four of us.
Brother sending pic's is using; A 4S iphone w/ ATT but says, "that's never mattered before".
My wife and I have Verizon Fios triple play and I never received the text message to my LG_VN150 phone I can receive and send, but it costs me.
He then sent the text to my wife's' cell phone a Galaxy S3 and she never received them. And, finally to our gmail account, four of the pic's for a total of 443KB made it, the other four were replaced with empty icons. The total of all eight (about 1MB) should not have exceeded attachment limits for our gmail.
    My question:
Do any of the Adminstrators or Moderators of this email forum know of any filtering that Vz would use between ATT and Vz??
