Problem encountered using Find My iPhone Apps
I tried Find my Iphone Apps in my IPAD. But I am encountered in a problem. Now my Ipad is not functioning it is just showing "Find My iPad Alert" how to make is functioning????
Press Home button and lock butoom together for 10-15 seconds, it will restart yr iPAD, and everything will be normal and you wont loose yr data also.

The phone will automatically re-appear when it connects to the Internet. However, don't get your hopes up, as thieves know this & will make sure your phone never re-connects so you can locate it.

I have remote locked my mac using find my iPhone app via my iPad - I am unable to enter the unlock code as the mac keyboard won't pair with the mac - I guess that will teach me for playing...any ideas?

Just did the update to 4.2 and followed the instructions in setting up the mobile me account (free version) to be able to use the new feature of "find my iphone" app but it won't let me use my apple ID, it keeps saying use another ID which I don't have? I lost my iPad mini while traveling recently. I tried using the Find My iPhone App (which showed my iMac, my iPhones, my old iPad, and my macbook) but the mini didn't show up...probably because it was turned off or the battery ran down.
I still have the original receipt from when I purchased it, showing the article number and the serial number. Is there any way to locate it with that info?No, unless you had Find My iPad enabled on it then there isn't any way to try and locate it.
Have you reported it to the police in case somebody hands it in ? You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc., and if it was a cellular model also contact your carrier.
