Problem encountered when installing ldif file

I have installed SunOne Directory Server 5.1 on windows 2000 server.
then, when I try to install one ldif file using ldif2db.bat , it always give wrong command format message.
D:\Program Files\Sun\MPS\slapd-tcsch166-server>ldif2db.bat -i lifeSIT.ldif
"Usage: ldif2db -n backend_instance | {-s "includesuffix"}* {-i ldif-file}* [-O]

can anybody advise on this?

First you should install the latest version of the server i.e. 5.2 P4.
In the commmand you also need to specify the suffix or the backend database so at minimal the command should be
ldif2db.bat -n backend_instance -i lifeSIT.ldif
Now by default the backend database is called "userroot" so the command becomes
ldif2db.bat -n userroot -i lifeSIT.ldif
Alternatively you can specify the suffix instead of the backend
ldif2db.bat -s "dc=example,dc=com" -i lifeSIT.ldif
I would also suggest that you read the documenation to fimiliarize yourself with the import process (this link is for 5.2)

While installing designer 6i on Windows XP with Oracle 9i DB, i am having a problem.
When the RAU views are created, one of the sql file has a view with a column as "CONSTRAINTS" and since its a reserved word, RAU exits showing application error.
Pls help me solve this.

I have the exact same problem. The repository install is trying to create a view that has a column named "CONSTRAINTS"...when the install reaches that point, it errors out saying that it cannot find the expected constraint definition. I have no idea how to fix this. I was thinking I would edit the script to change the column name, but anticipate this would cause further problems.

Problems appearing when exporting excel file into numbers file

I have a Problem, need HELP!!
I have an excel file with graphics, and data are written on graphs: these data are percentages. When I export my excel file on numbers (becomes therefore a numbers file), my problem appears: When I have for example 24% on a graph, it becomes 0.24 and I can't find the way to write it 24% again.
Also I have a problem with graphics titles: when I export the excel file into numbers, graphics title are not correctly centered anymore and I cannot find the way to fix them correctly...

It seems that only sectorial charts may display percent.

Sounds as if you are in cases where the charts are imported as a single graphic block, not as different components.

SQL problem encountered when setting up SCCM

Hi all,
I am currently trying to setup a configuration manager primary site (as a stand-alone site) in a test environment. My SQL server has already been setup, with other components of system center 2012 (SCOM, SCSM, Orchestrator) relying on the same
SQL 2008 standard edition R2 SP2 server.
I have been unable to install SCCM itself though. lets say I am now logged into my SCCM server using a domain admin account called scadmin. I have used scadmin to install other components of system center. Under my SQL server, in management studio, scadmin
has rights of "public", "securityadmin", "serveradmin", "setupadmin", "sysadmin".
When trying to specify my SQL server, instance name, I encountered the following error.
Setup is unable to connect to SQL Server with the connection information provided. Verify the following:
1. The SQL server and instance names are entered correctly
2. The specified SQL server instance is not configured to use dynamic ports
3. If a firewall is enabled on the SQL server, inbound rules exist to allow connections to the correct ports
4. The account used to run setup has permissions to connect to the specified SQL Server instance
I have verified against the 4 mentioned points above:
1. Yes
2. My understanding is SQL server by default uses static ports, so mine should be static
3. No firewall involved, all servers are on the same physical machine, connected to a switch, Windows firewall off
4. Permissions as mentioned above.
I also went to check out the log file in the SCCM server, C:\ConfigMgrSetupWizard.txt
this is what i saw everytime i tried to click next in the setup
"Creating SQL connection to database scsqlserver\master on server SC-SQL-01.testdomain.com"
My SQL server hostname: SC-SQL-01
SQL instance: scsqlserver
i also noticed in the same log file that when I start the installation, there is an error saying
"Cannot not connect to SMS provider on local machine. Either it is not installed or access is denied.
Cannot detect SMS Type because either SiteServer, SqlServer or SiteServerName is empty."
is there anyone who might be able to point out what went wrong?

Sound problems encountered when copying and pasting

Hi all,
I've been running into a rapidly growing problem in Premiere Pro CS3. I'm hoping someone can help.
I've copied two clips -- both audio and video -- from two different Premiere Pro projects, but when I try to paste both clips into a third project, my audio files become badly screwy. The sound completely drops out from one clip, and in the other, the sound speeds up, like an old record played at a high speed. I have no idea what to do.
My computer is a Dell Inspiron. I've used the same load presets for all three projects: DV-NTSC Widescreen 48kHz. I'm at a complete loss as to what's wrong. Could someone give me a little insight? Thanks everyone.

Problem encountered when using RKD_WORD_WRAP

I have encountered a problem when using RKD_WORD_WRAP. The problem is that the paragraph is not being formatted nicely when i try to printout in Smartforms.
Eg is that I want to format this paragraph;

However, when I output it out, the text was being displayed like this;

The problem is that even though after the "the" word, although that line still has some spaces, thecorresponsing words just wont get concatenate to the 2nd line (as seen above).
Is there any way to fix this?? Or is there a standard value to be use for the outputlens parameter so that the above situation will not occurs??

Suppose you want to print 100 charcters in each line .. upto 95 charcters you have words perfectly the next will start at 97th ,so here word is <b>' Function'</b>
so this word will not fit into that line since you have 4 charcters,Function word is containg 8 charcters,this word will come in next line.
Check the program and give what ever input and see the results.

Java.lang.NoSuchMethodException encountered when using jar file

Hi Friends
I am getting this peculiar exception for some time now and not able to figure out why i get it.
I searched the net but seem to not find any proper solution.
Here is what i am trying to do. I am using Eclipse(Latest version) and jdk 1.6.
I have a Java project in my workspace which was previously using Java code to perform DAO look up.
Now i have got an executable .jar file which has this DAO look up code bundled in it and i just need to include it in my project ClassPath. I have done this now and my code compiles properly. Even Eclipse is able to recognize this code.
When i try to run the code i am getting this java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: DAOClass.getValue(java.lang.string)L
The getValue() is present in the DAOClass in the jar file but still i am getting this exception.
I am not able to figure out what the issue is here.
Can you please provide your suggestions about this issue. is there something i am missing out.

Problem faced when installing oracle 10g

i faced this problem when intalling oracle 10g in windows xp. this dos prompt opens for 5 min. and then it get closed..after tht nuthing happens.

Actually Oracle Installer might be trying to create log file and due to above two reason not able to proceed.

The "Documents" folder of my personal account is on D: drive. I followed your advice and tried using administrator, whose "Documents" folde is on the default c: drive, to log in and install the software ut the same errors were encountered.

I'm trying to open an art file I've been working on for the past week in Photoshop CS5 Extended, and I'm getting a message that my request cannot be complete because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered. Hi Curt...I'm new here, so I'll get the hang of it. Thank you for your quick response. I'm using the Mac OS X version 10.6.8 I'm a digital artist and was working on a psd file. I use a wacom tablet and all of a sudden everything stopped responding. I had to force quit Photoshop and open again. That's when the window telling me an unexpected end-of-file was encountered. So much work has gone into this piece of artwork, so needless to say, I'm beyond frustrated. I had saved this work along the way just so I wouldn't lose it, but now this unexpected twist. I will try what you suggested to see if it will help.

The error seems to occur when Weblogic attempts to parse the env-entry entries when web.xml is defined with an older namespace declaration
Edit the web.xml and check the namespace declaration.
Try updating the web.xml namespace declaration as per the below doc.

Problem encountered while installing Microsoft server -2008 -SP-2 (X32 bit) Ooperating system in our DELL -T300 poweredge server

It is kindly requested to help us with these issue-
we are not able to install the operating system(Microsoft server -2008 SP-2 (x 32 bit)
Following error is coming during installation :-
Windows server could not install due to one or more critical drivers missing. To install Windows make sure that the drivers are valid and restart the installation.
Earlier ,We have observed that our working server has developed a problem of 2 no.s of hard drive failure out of existing 3 no.s. It was in RAID-5 mode. so the server was not booting.
Recently we have changed the faulty hard drives with two new ones and after that configured the RAID and we tried to install the O S but it was showing the above stated error.
Please help us in solving this issue.

A. Your RAID is configured incorrectly. Erase disks, make diagnostics and create new RAID. Make sure that you have at least 3 disks available for RAID 5 (This is the prerequisite.) Also make sure that you have latest firmware and BIOS installed.
B. It this does not help, ask Dell support/forum for help. This problem is NOT on the Windows installation side.
C. Do not publish your mobile number in this forum. Expect written response here.

Problem encountered when updating to ICS (4.1.B.0.587)

So, I was updating my Sony Xperia Live With Walkman from GB (2.3.4) to ICS (4.1.B.0.587) with PC Companion this morning. Had 52% battery life and I followed everything that was instructed, but halfway towards the end it had and error.Therefore I tried updating it with SUS but the result was the same!
Now when I tried to boot my phone up the boot aniamtion was just the SONY word, which is the ICS new boot animation. But the after that a picture of exclamation sign with a smartphone under it showed! I'm guessing that my old GB has been removed already and the new ICS was halfway installed. Now my phone couldn't be operated anymore and the advise given by sony support was to go to the nearest repair centre to get it done. IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY THAT I CAN FINISH INSTALLING IT MYSELF??? I don't wanna have a hassel travelling to the repair centre cz it's quite far from my house. ANY SOLUTIONS EXPERIENCED USERS, EXPERTS OR DEVELOPERS??

You should not have discharged battery?
You can try:
Turn off your phone
Remove the battery for a few minutes.
Insert the battery.
Phone no turn.
Connect the charger (use original charger and cable).
Charge the phone while turned off for about 5 hours.
Then use:
PC Companion (PCC) or Sony Update Service (SUS)
before backup

Sqlloader error encountered when executing load file

I encountered error :
RPE-1013-SQL_LOADER_ERROR SQL Loader reported error condition, number 3.
after I executed a load file action at Warehouse builder Deployment Manager, does anyone know any resource that I could refer to so that I could know what does error condition - "number 3" means?

The error is gone, but I have done several things, so don't know the actually cause. I suggest you to check whether the mapping among fields is correct. e.g. try to see any char field of flat file is mapped to number field of a table. Also have to check the field lenght is correct especailly the table column lenght is smaller than the field lenght of the flat file.
Actually does anyone know any source so that I could know what does "number 3" means?
