Problem Exporting Files

I'm using Aperture 2.1.1 and everything was going great for months. A couple days ago I was trying to export versions as jpg's, and an error came up saying that "THE EXPORT OPERATION FAILED TO CREATE AN IMAGE FILE FOR THE VERSIONS..."
I tried restarting, using different libraries and setups, and I always get the same response.
Does anyone know what this is and how to combat this?

I have not seen this error message yet, and some more information would be appreciated.
Where do you try to export from? Project, Album etc.
What is the format of the version, a regular Aperture version or a version created from a Photoshop- created master or a version from another plug in?
Are you using Aperture's own export function or a plug in export?
What have you done to the versions prior to trying to export them?
Any other information relevant to the issue would be nice.

  • Problems exporting files

    I'm new to using Flash (I'm using Flash Professional CS5) and am having problems exporting my files.
    While the files will export as .mov files, when I try to play the files they're simply a blank white or black screen.
    Any help or ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

    The most likely reason is that you are attempting to export a muxed mpeg file. QT will not export sound from such files. QT Mpeg Limitations
    This freeware will export to a number of different formats from mpeg with the sound and video intact. Mpeg StreamClip

  • I'm having problems exporting files for editing from LR 4.3 into photoshop elements 9.

    This problem only occurs with files that I have been imported from cd's/dvd's into the libraryand I get the msg "Lightroom was unable to prepare the selected file for editing. It will not be opened."
    Files that are stored on my hard drive have NO PROBLEM in being edited. .
    I am new to Lightroom and currently using it on the 30 day trial I have been using PSE for a long time and have over 90,000 images in Organizer and all of my images are on cd's/dvd's, very few are stored on the hard drive.
    Thanks in advance for any feedback and suggestions.
    Ken

    Do you mean they are still on the CD/DVD and you want to export them directly from CD/DVD?
    That's not possible since the CD/DVD is not writeable. You have to move the photos to your hard drive first.

  • Problem exporting file from motion 5

    Hello,
    I am trying to export a file from Motion 5 and whe I play the quicktime back, everything is jumbled and I can't read it. When I am working in Motion and scrubbing along through the file everything looks fine. Can someone please help me out?
    Thanks,
    David

    For starters, what's the version number for Motion and What OS are you on? Are you up to date or using an older version?  Next, what format are you exporting to (ProRes, H.265, etc.)?  Finally does this happen with every project or just this particular one.  Can you post a screen shot of what the problem looks like?  There are a lot of possibilites to consider, the more info you can provide the better luck there will be in someone maybe helping you with a solution.

  • Problem exporting file depending to computer regional settings

    goodmoring to all
    The problem I face is the following :
    We need to export some data as an excel-csv file, with greek characters. And everything works fine, as long as the computer (where the server is hosted) regional settings are set to Greece. But if we have English settings, we get every greek character as a '?'.     The code is the following
    HttpServletResponse response = (HttpServletResponse) FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getResponse();
                  String filename = "requests.csv";
                  byte [] csvData =csvData=second.getBytes();
             String header= "attachment; filename="+filename;
             response.setHeader("Content-disposition", header );
             response.setContentLength(csvData.length);
             response.setContentType("application/msexcel;charset=UTF-8");
             try {
                  response.getOutputStream().write(csvData);
                  response.getOutputStream().write(csvData);
                  response.getOutputStream().flush();
                  response.getOutputStream().close();
             catch(IOException ioe){}
             context.responseComplete();

    If you computer with English settings does not have the fonts to render Greek characters, that is what happens. I bet that if you look at the file in a hex editor, you will see it is correct.

  • Problem exporting file containing dotted strokes (from InDesign CS3)

    I'm producing a booklet in CS3 where I've used a lot of dotted strokes (both as decorative lines, and as outlines to background panels beneath text). When I export to pdf, I'm finding that all the spreads that contain these elements come up blank with error messages. If I change the stroke type to solid, there is no problem. Is this a bug with the dotted stroke feature, or anything else? Any fixes or suggestions would be great to hear.

  • Problems exporting files using xFire video clips

    Hi - first time posting.
    I recently started using XFire to record videogame footage from my PC. I would then take the clips into Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and edit them, and now I'm ready to export them so I can re-edit them (because editing with the xfire codec is quite a hassle) and ultimately upload them.
    In this particular example, I'm exporting to the HuffYUV format - this is what happens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jHBhpl_3G0
    This clip is 90 seconds long, exported in the HuffYUV codec, 360x240 (to keep the file size down) - but as you can see, at around 0:54 and then again at 1:15, the video would freeze, rendering the clip unuseable.
    I've tried various formats and sizes - I'm trying to export at 1440x960, and I've tried HuffYUV, Lagarith, Raw (No Codec), MicrosoftVideo1, etc - most of them, when I make a 30sec clip, it works fine, but when I make the 90sec clip, most of them would start having the frozen frames at ~2 seconds in, but all the file formats do eventually have a frozen frames.
    I've tried converting the xfire video clips BEFORE putting them into Premiere by using Media Coder (not the Adobe one), but the result looks something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8LEO3fGSaM&t=0m17s - you can see horizontal interference as well as a lot of jumpy frames
    I just got this computer a few months ago - I'm using Windows 8, 64-bit, 16gb of ram.
    So, what's happening? What's the best way for me to fix this? Thanks in advance.

  • Problem exporting file with spot colors to pdf

    I have a book which I designed in InDesign CS3. It has 150 images in it which are Photoshop eps files: black line drawings with a spot color fill. InCS3, when I needed to send files back and forth to the publisher, the eps files came out fine in any pdf I made. Now in CS5.5, no matter what I do, only the spot color shows up in the images -- their black outlines won't show up. I'm sure it's got something to do with settings of some kind but I can't figure it out for the life of me. Help!

    I'm viewing the pdf in Acrobat Pro X. I do see that if I turn Flattener Preview on, I can see the whole image in a separate preview box, but that's not going to work very well when I send it to an editor who is technologically challenged. Is there not a way to ake the pdf behave the way it does if I make it from CS3, where the flattening shows in the pdf by default? As it is, this seems like a step backwards, unless of course, there's something I am missing.

  • Exporting files out of LR3?

    Has anyone had problems exporting files out of LR3? This was very simple in LR2. I receive orders via email, print them out, and then pull up the selected images 1 or 3 or 50 @ a time. LR3 is not exporting over 1 or 2 images and then it freezes up.

    Reinstallation will not do anything except aggravate you.
    Try:
    1. Run Lr from a new user account.
    2. Try not exporting to the external drive if you are. If you catalogue or photos are on the external drive, see if you can create a new catalogue containing this photos (import from the other catalogue) and try exporting from that one.
    3. If it freezes get the Sample output from the process via Activity Monitor. If it crashes collect the crash log out of your Library.

  • Quicktime doesn´t export files

    Hi..! I have a problem exporting files with Quicktime, for example, from .MPG to .MP4. What happen is that once the file is exported I can see but without the audio. And when I go to options of export it doesn´t let me do anything with the audio. I don´t know why... I have reinstall Quicktime, but the problem persist. Can anybody help me? Thanks
    (Sorry, my english is not as good as i want it to be)

    QuickTime Pro has never supported audio extraction from muxed file formats (MPEG 1 or 2 and Flash).
    Use MPEG Streamclip (free) to convert your MPEG-1 files.

  • I am having problems exporting my time lapses from quick time pro i need to save my files as photo jpegs but the standard video compression window will not open fully,

    i am having problems exporting my time lapses from quick time pro i need to save my files as photo jpegs but the standard video compression window will not open fully, it just keeps my mac (old 1.6Ghz 2.5 GB sdram G5 still good for most stuff i need) spinning for ever but i can see compression type H.264 selected and the other setting but i can not select any other options as it still thinking but never opens! why is this happening how do i get round it?
    my work flow is: 300 images shot on a 5d mark II medium jpegs opened in Light Room cropped to 16:9 then exported and opened in quick time i can save a .mov H264 giving me files sizes of 14 mb for a 16 second time lapse, mp4 9 mb. the only way i can get large files is saving as a self contained movie then i get 300mb files.
    i need to save my files 1920 x 1080 photo jpeg codec as i want HD quality.
    i am sure there is a simple way round this?
    thanks guys!

  • New problem with file name while exporting files

    Hi all. Whenever I export files from Crystal, it converts the filename from mixed case to lowercase, i.e. Vendors.pdf or Vendors.csv becomes vendors.pdf or vendors.csv. The destination folder has other files of mixed case, it's not a setting on that side. Since this file is data for an upload, it's a problem. Can't find a setting in Crystal. Is there a fix somewhere?
    Thanks
    Robin

    Hi Robin,
    When exporting this is by design, most OS's won't allow the same name so it's mostly not an issue. You could write a small application that exports for you then you can rename it to anything you want.
    Thank you

  • Problem exporting Prores proxy files in CS6

    I have a bunch of Apple Prores proxy files which were created from RAW DNG files in DaVinci Resolve. I have completed an edit of a music video with these files in Premiere Pro CS6. However when I try to export the files from the timeline, the exported file seems to have linked to all the wrong clips, and the whole video seems to be a random mish-mash of clips. The timecodes of the clips all seems accurate, and they display perfectly within CS6 and in quicktime.
    Wondering why the clips display fine on the timeline, allowing me to edit the video in-sync, however will not export properly?
