Problem facing in saving the workflow

Hi all,
I have done some changes to the existing workflow..and i have save the workflow in the data base as using save as option in workflow builder...but the modification are not refllected in the work flow after saving.. what might be the reason ..waht is the suitable solution for this..

Can you provide more specifics as to what is not being updated? If you are checking your changes on an active workflow then this is ok as only new workflow processes will use the changes. Only objects not supporting versioning will have immediate effect. You can check more in section 'Workow Objects That Support Versioning' in the workflow developers guide.

Problems in starting up the Workflow Mailer

Hi,
I am pretty new to the Oracle Workflow.
I have recently installed Workflow 2.6, and when i try to start the workflow mailer wfmlr.exe, i am getting the following error :
wferr 2009 : Fatal error, mailer is exiting.
wferr 2102 : Could not connect to mail service using account 'my_email_user/password'.
wferr 2202 : Could not establish mail service connection.
wferr 2201 : Mail service connection refused. Error code 8.
The Environment is Windows 2003 Server, and Microsoft Outlook 2003.
Can anyone please let me know whether Workflow 2.6 is certified for use on Outlook 2003, and if not, is there any other way in which this issue can be resolved by making it run on Outlook 2003.

At install time there is a question that asked if you would like to configure adminstration now. (Something like that). By default this is not checked. If you did not check it you cannot access enterprise manager.
The is probably a way to configure it, but it might be faster reinstalling.
There is a simple way to de install by going to the ORACLE_HOME/bin and run the deinstall script.

Rep-0756 problem facing while opening the report in 10g

Hi,
I am facing problem while opening RDF in oracle 10g.
I follow the next steps.
1. Open the RDF in 10g.
2. Open the PLL in report builder and compile that PLL and save in same path where report located.
3. reattach the library with RDF.
4. Close the RDF
5. Reopen the RDF and facing the error.
6. REP-0756- unable to open attached............
7. I set the report_path in Registry also where PLL exists
Please give me the solution for this problem

I am also facing the similar issue in reports 10g, I am keeping the .pll file in my local machine say c:\me\reports\xyz.pll. When I am opening this pll, I am getting the error REP-0756 though the path 'c:\me\reports\' is added to the REPORTS_PATH. Your suggestion resolved the issue.

Error Message when saving the workflow in SWDD.

I have raised this question before in the forum, but I still don't have answer.
When I try to save the modified workflow or activate it, I have the error message like:

Diagnosis
An error occurred when the system tried to process the commands from the Automation Queue on the presentation server.
There are several possible reasons for this:
- The installation of the SAP GUI on the presentation server is faulty or obsolete.
- There is an error in the application program
- There is an error in the SAPGUI or an integrated control
Procedure
1. Make sure that you have imported the appropriate Support Package, the current kernel, and GUI patch for the release of your system
2. Check whether the error occurs locally on one or a few PCs, or generally on all PCs. Note whether the error only occurs for some users, for example because of a specific Customizing setting.
If it only occurs locally, this suggests an installation problem with the PC. Check the installation; if necessary, reinstall the software. In the dump, search for the SY-MSGLI field, since it may point to the cause of the error.
3. Activate the Automation Trace (in accordance with SAP Note 158985).
4.Start the transaction and continue until the screen immediately before the dump.
5. From the System -> Utilities menu, choose Autom. Queue, Synchronous Processing.
The status bar of the GUI displays the text:
"Automation synchron flush mode on"
6. If you now proceed with the application, the short dump will display the ABAP call that caused the error; the Automation Trace will contain the error on the presentation server.
7. If necessary, load the short dump and trace files on to sapservX, so that SAP can analyze them.
There are plenty of options stated in this message which could cause the problem, I suggest you start with those.

Problem faced when automating the P.O and P.O Release transactions

Hi,
I was trying to automate the Purchase Order and Purchase Order Release screen using ECATT tool.
I recorded the Purchase Order screen by importing the Purchase Requisition Number.
When i record the Purchase Order screen, the screen settings was different and when i was replaying the script, the settings was different.
The Problem which i faced was when i was recording the Purchase Order transaction, the header tab was in the expand status.But when i execute the recorded script, the header tab gets collapsed. Because of this change, the Purchasing Org tab value is not passed and it throws an error.
Please help me to find a solution for this problem.
The same happens in Purchase Order release transaction.
When i am recording the Purchase Order Release transaction, the Release Strategy tab is active and when i am replaying the script which i have recorded, it is not the same of what i have recorded.
Therefore, it throws an error.
Kindly help me to get a solution for the problem

Problem with not saving the sent messages option

I've got the solution for one of your problems, but I want you to solve one that I have related to the sms. In order to stop your phone from connecting to the wifi set up your emails account first and it will stop. you have to go emails>>settings>>select the email account>>synchronisation>> retrieval days>> select none, because if you don't have data on your phone, it always try to retrieve the mails, and then it when the wifi comes out. Now my issue is that i can't see the ID when I got a sms even if I had it saved on my contact list, it is driving me crazy, I'm about to throw the phone away, please reply

The table CONTACTS_PGRANT_NOV22 has got a column of type CLOB. We are exporting in the metadata only mode. Interestingly when we are exporting only this table individually, we are not getting any problem. Please suggest at the earliest.

I need to take full export of the database with out data and for all schemas. Can you tell is below syntax correct or not:

if I use above syntax I am not seeing all schema names in log file during expdp as we see in exp option.

Problem faced while configuring the domain configuration in WLS 10.0

Hi all, I am trying to set up a Weblogic server 10.0 web application development environment in which we use persistence store, jms server, jms system module, subdeployments and jms system resources. when i configure everything and activate the changes, i get weird exception. but, i could not figure out why it happens. this is the exception

It says weblogic.management.DeploymentException: The persistent store "limJMSPersistentStore" does not exist. but it is configured in the domain when i see in console. After that all the resources to jms system module also throws the below exception

reason is weblogic.messaging.kernel.KernelException: The Messaging Kernel limJMSServer has not yet been opened. The deployment failure of the "limJMSPersistenceStore" - jdbc store was the root cause. I use "limjms" prefix for this persistence store.It was not able to persist because of the data present in the "limJMSWLStore" table in the db schema. when i deleted all the rows and committed. then, restarted the server. Everything worked just fine :). Thanks!

Problem faced in running the process chain

Hi All,
I am having a process chain having few warning..
But I want to schedule that process cahin but I am not able to do so, when I schedule it , it throws a message as
"chain changed, schedule in display mode not possible"..
So how can I schedule it.

Hi Vinay,
Have you transported this chain from Devlopment to Production, because sometimes the process chain change will not appear in display mode when you move any tranports, you have to go in a change mode of the particular process chain and activate it manually and try to schedule the process chain, it ll work.

Problem withdata while saving the Webi Report in Excel

Hi All,
Just Now we migrated our Webi reports on 4.1.
When I am schduling report in excel In my report some ? sign will come.
If I do save -> save as Excel it will save properly but Save as execel 2007 It will save ? marks in some column.
Schdule in execl also doing same.please see following screen shot.
Please guide me how to sort out this issue.

The reason behind the issue could be UTF-8 encoding.
We can try to convert the encoding to ANSI and check if the issue persists.
Can you use Webi Rich Client on client machine? If yes then follow the below steps on client machine:
1. Right Click on My Computer and go to Properties.
2. Inside Advanced tab, click on 'Environment Variables'.
3. Create user/system variable with name "BO_UTF_BOM" and put "any text" as its value.
Restart your machine. Log into Rich client and again try to save your report in Excel.

Problem facing while cumulating the key fig

The report excecute for current month.
Forecast values have month starting day to ending date.
Actual values have month starting date to the present day(system date).
According to client requirement in layout, i have to show shipmentforecast(day) and shipmenforecast(cumulate) from month starting date to ending date and shipmentactual(day) and shipmentactual(Cumulate) from month starting day to present day(system date).
shipmentforecast(day) and shipmentactual(day) comes from cube, based on that i created shipmentforecast(cumulate) and shipmentactual(cumulate) using new selection and in properties i selected cumaulte, apply to the result, cumulate along rows.
while cumulating, shipmentactual(cumulate) is showing corect cumulate values from month staring day to present day(system day), after present day it showing last cumulate value ( present day value) by default to remaining days.
Even i am restricted the Actual(cumulate) with a customer exit variable( month starting date to system date ), still it showing last cumulate valye to remaing cells ( after present day to end of the month)
i should not get this.
In rows i taken 0calday.
in columns i taken Key figs which are
1) shipmentforecast(day)
2) shipmentactual(day)
3) shpmentforecast(cumulate)
4) shipmentactual(cumulate)
5) gap(cumulative) is calculated as ( NODIM ( 'Actual(Day)' ) <> 0 ) * 'Actual(Day)' - 'Foreseen(Day)' and properties i checked the cumulate.
in filters i taken as Ocalyear/month which is restricted for current month.
i mean total reprot has to display for current month days.
and forecast(day) and forecast(cumulate) values has to display for whole month.
actual(day) and actual(cumulate) values has to display for form starting of the month to the current day(system date)

Step1
Go to tcode SE16 and query the RSODSACTREQ table to find all records where the DATAPAKID > 0 for the DSO you're trying to manage and delete all of those records. This should leave records that have a value in the DATAPAKID = 0.
Step2
Query the RSODSACTREQ table again, after the deletion, to find all of the records where DATAPAKID = 0. Change the value of DATAPAKID to 2 for all of these records.
After completing these two steps, you should be able to manage the DSO.

Problem facing while Enabling the disabled component in the client side.

I have a input text component as below
<h:inputText id="city" disabled="true" rendered="true" styleClass="DisabledField" id="city" maxlength="21" value="#{addressbean.city}" />
Initially this component is rendered as disabled. When user changes a value in the DropDown next to it, i invoke a javascript where i enable the abv text field.
function onCountryChange(city){
city.disabled = false;
city.className = "TextBlackNormal";
Now user types a value in the city text field and Submits the form.
In the action method of the managed bean, i found #{addressbean.city} is always empty. ( i am not able to retain this value in next page )
Can anyone explain why it is happening? could you please help me how to resolve this ?

You need to enable it at the server side as well.
So, either use Java/JSF instead of Javascript (if necessary with some ajax flavor for better user experience) or let Javascript pass a hidden input parameter and let the 'disabled' attribute rely on it.

Problem with data saving into text file

Hi,
The problem I am facing wihile saving the data into text file is that everytime when I am slecting the path from front panel, the data which is being saved is appended with the previous data, i.e. not only in the new text file, the new set of data is saved but also, if there is any previuos run for the program, the corresponding data is also present in that text file.
However, when I change the same 'control'(file path) to 'constant' in the block diagram, and add the file path, there is no such problem. Basically, changing the "File path" from constant in the block diagram to control (so that it is displayed in the front panel) is causing the problem.
Please help!

Your shift register on the For loop is not initialized. It will retain the value of the string from the last time it executed. Initialize that and it should solve your problem.
