Problem facing while installing Solman7.0

Hi !
We are installing Solamn with Oracle 10g+Solaris 5.10..
We have installed Solman & installed database too. but on running SAPInst PostDB installation, we are getting following errors :
An error occured while processing service SAP solution manager 4.0
Support Release 4> SAP Systems> Oracle> Central System>central systems(Last Error reported by the step : Error return code. Diagnosis return code 1 of executable
/Oracle/SMT/102_64/binlsnrctl indicates an error.
1. Choose retry to repeat the step
2 Stop task & continue
We also tried to start the listener manually by lsnrctl start & listener status..It's giving following error :

Did you install Oracle first before you started sapinst? Did you execute RUNINSTALLER in the SAP subdirectory of the RDBMS DVD or the standard runInstaller?

Under Win 98SE (Personal Oracle 8i)creation of database - very
long. Therefore choose a mode of creation of base - copy from CD.
Then the base can be increased.

Problem faced while installing adobe reader X.

While trying to install adobe reader X, the installation is interuppted after about 85% installation is complete and a message pops up " The instruction at "0X00000047" referenced memory at "0X00000047". The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program. Click on cancel to debug the program.
Please help me solve this problem so that i can install adobe reader successfully on my computer.

Problems facing while installing portuguese in java srm 7.0 unicode

Hello ,
I am trying ot install portuguese in srm 7.0 unicode system. I have updated the config tool parameters as below.
Set ume.logon.locale to true
Set ume.admin.wd.locales = pt ( for portuguese)
But even aftyer the restart I am not able to see the drop down of portuguese in my java page. Is there any other settings.

Now I can see the drop down showing in the logon screen of the Java page index.htm but when I choose portuguese or any other language and log in the contents are still shown in English langauage. They are not translated to portuguese . DO I need to do some other settings.

A serious problem occurred while installing the iPlanet Messaging Server Init Config

Hi I have this error while working with iMS5.x and iAS6.5. As long as iMS is the only product installed, nothing is the problem. If I try installing iMS after iAS installed, it points an error. I dont know whats the reason. The following is the message that I got:

You are probably installing on a hardened machine.
The "installation guide" says that if you are doing so, you need to create a file named libx11.so.4 and update your LD_LIBRARY_PATH (see http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/messaging/ims52/ig/unix/overview.htm)but:
1- the library name is libX11.so.4 and
2- for jre a common file is not enough, you need to install SUNWxwplt at least. This will install the library on /usr/openwin/lib.
You can check the results running <server-root>/bin/base/jre/bin/jre

Problems encountered while installing designer 6i - RAU

While installing designer 6i on Windows XP with Oracle 9i DB, i am having a problem.
When the RAU views are created, one of the sql file has a view with a column as "CONSTRAINTS" and since its a reserved word, RAU exits showing application error.
Pls help me solve this.

I have the exact same problem. The repository install is trying to create a view that has a column named "CONSTRAINTS"...when the install reaches that point, it errors out saying that it cannot find the expected constraint definition. I have no idea how to fix this. I was thinking I would edit the script to change the column name, but anticipate this would cause further problems.

Oracle 10g supports redhat 4 and Enterprise Linux is redhat 5 so I changed the redhat-release to 4 to countinue setup but the above error appears, also I tried this configuration on SuSE 10 I changed the SuSE-release to 9 and went good.

The packeges are already installedIf you execute runInstaller again is the error message the same as before?
If yes can you post output for this command?

Problems faced while using MicrosoftOfficeInterop

We are developing a windows program solution in which we programmatically access the Excel functionality and control the behaviour of the *.xlsx files.
We are using
Visual Studio 2012 Professsional,
Language C#
Namespace Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.
Functions being used are standard functions like
ExcelApp.Workbooks.Open(…….)
WorkBook.Save(..)
WorkBook.Close(..) etc.
To control behaviour of .xlsx files, We are also using events like
BeforeClose
BeforeSave
BeforePrint etc
On few systems (operating systems Windows 7 and above with Microsoft Office 2010 and above) we are facing problems. It gives exception with exception message as “HRESULT: 0x800AC472”. This exception is raised randomly (i.e. if it is raised while
using WorkBook.Save(..) but few seconds before this , same file is successfully saved at same machine and same path. OR if it is raised while using ExcelApp.Workbooks.Open(…….), the same was successful just before few miliseconds.)
We know one instance where it is expected to happen. If we are working on a machine where the office installed is a trial version (i.e. the Product Key id is not entered during installation), the above problem is known to happen. But it disappears immediately
after we feed the Product key. The Program behaves perfectly.
But on few machines where the windows is properly installed and the Office is also properly installed, the above mentioned problem is faced and we are not able to locate why the problem occurs.
Can you guide us to locate the problem and overcome the same?

Rep-0756 problem facing while opening the report in 10g

Hi,
I am facing problem while opening RDF in oracle 10g.
I follow the next steps.
1. Open the RDF in 10g.
2. Open the PLL in report builder and compile that PLL and save in same path where report located.
3. reattach the library with RDF.
4. Close the RDF
5. Reopen the RDF and facing the error.
6. REP-0756- unable to open attached............
7. I set the report_path in Registry also where PLL exists
Please give me the solution for this problem

I am also facing the similar issue in reports 10g, I am keeping the .pll file in my local machine say c:\me\reports\xyz.pll. When I am opening this pll, I am getting the error REP-0756 though the path 'c:\me\reports\' is added to the REPORTS_PATH. Your suggestion resolved the issue.

It throws me from my connection process when i reach the code to connect to the company database.
So i uninstalled all SAP components and reinstalled them again (based on one of the earlier post )... this has sorted my issue.

The table CONTACTS_PGRANT_NOV22 has got a column of type CLOB. We are exporting in the metadata only mode. Interestingly when we are exporting only this table individually, we are not getting any problem. Please suggest at the earliest.

I need to take full export of the database with out data and for all schemas. Can you tell is below syntax correct or not:

if I use above syntax I am not seeing all schema names in log file during expdp as we see in exp option.

We have planned to move BO to Citrix servers located in a different location. We are facing a strange issue here.
While testing BO in the new server we figured that only accounts with admin access were able to use BO. User accounts in BO were not able to use or even login to BO which is currently residing in the new server. The version we use is 5.1.6.
Any pointers as to why this is occuring. Appreciated response at the earliest.

Problem faced when installing oracle 10g

i faced this problem when intalling oracle 10g in windows xp. this dos prompt opens for 5 min. and then it get closed..after tht nuthing happens.

Actually Oracle Installer might be trying to create log file and due to above two reason not able to proceed.

we are not able to install the operating system(Microsoft server -2008 SP-2 (x 32 bit)
Following error is coming during installation :-
Windows server could not install due to one or more critical drivers missing. To install Windows make sure that the drivers are valid and restart the installation.
Earlier ,We have observed that our working server has developed a problem of 2 no.s of hard drive failure out of existing 3 no.s. It was in RAID-5 mode. so the server was not booting.
Recently we have changed the faulty hard drives with two new ones and after that configured the RAID and we tried to install the O S but it was showing the above stated error.
Please help us in solving this issue.

A. Your RAID is configured incorrectly. Erase disks, make diagnostics and create new RAID. Make sure that you have at least 3 disks available for RAID 5 (This is the prerequisite.) Also make sure that you have latest firmware and BIOS installed.
B. It this does not help, ask Dell support/forum for help. This problem is NOT on the Windows installation side.
C. Do not publish your mobile number in this forum. Expect written response here.

Hi Sir,
Turn off your laptop, as soon as you start your laptop again then continously press 'ESC' - till you will enter the Start-Up Menu, in menu Choose (F9 - Boot Device Options) in there you can choose to boot up from CD/DVD or whatever you want too boot up from I think thats what youre looking for.
