Problem : Feed Already Submitted

Ok so I submited a podcast and it said something was wrong with the RSS code and didnt accept it no email notification...nothing.
Revised the code perfectly tried to submit again and it comes up with "this feed has already been submited"
how can i fix this?

Ok so I did something someone said in another thread (change title and link) and it worked. The only problem is they came up in their own podcast sections and not in my main podcast.
I got this email from Itunes:
Changing Your Feed URL
Podcasters occasionally need to move their feed from one location to another. In this case, you should not remove your feed. If possible, you should set your web server to return a 301 error and redirect when receiving a request for the old feed. Doing so will cause both the iTunes Music Store and the iTunes clients that have subscribed to your podcast to pick up the new feed URL. Be sure to maintain the redirect for at least two weeks to ensure that most subscribers have attempted to download your most recent episode and have thereby received the new URL.
If you don't know how to return an HTTP 301, you can use the <itunes:new-feed-url> tag described in the iTunes RSS Tags section of the spec. The tag will cause the iTunes music store to be updated with the new feed URL, and customers using iTunes 6.0.2 or later will be informed of the change. You may choose to include an audio note in your podcast, informing your subscribers that your podcast has changed locations. After adding the tag, be sure to keep your feed running at the old URL for at least 48 hours.
Now can someone explain that to me since Im really a n00b

  • New feed already submitted???

So I had a podcast on iTunes. It was messed up (in my opinion) beyond repair, so I asked them to remove the podcast so I could spend some time getting a better one put together on a better blog etc. Well now I'm trying to give them my feed burner address (it was the same as the first podcast) and they said it had already been submitted. I figured that might happen, so I changed the feed address to one that hadn't been used already, and it told me the same thing.
    Any thoughts?
    thanks

Exactly the same thing has happened to me, and what I find really frustrating is there is no email technical help support we can contact to resolve the issue.
I was hoping it would take 48hours to remove the feed detail just like it takes t to add them. After which I could put the feed back in and the problem would be solved.
    Sadly no joy.
Although it works when listeners adds the url in 'subscribe to podcast' they still can't search for it using any of the key words.
Strangely though, even though the feed is 'in' the system, iTunes won't see the artwork or go to the main directory. It just transfers the viewer to my hosting web page.
Come on Apple. Get your act together this is a basic problem which will always be there and should be resolved ASAP!

  • Feed already submitted message on a new podcast feed?!?

    Hi all,
I successfully submitted a podcast last year - here's the feed
    http://www.carlturner.net/media/Podcasts/feeds/podcast01.xml
Come to submit a second podcast based on the code of the first feed
    http://www.carlturner.net/media/Podcasts/feeds/podcast02.xml
Validated it - checked it downloaded to itunes but came to submit it and got the message 'It appears the feed has already been submitted'
How can this be? I know it's always something simple but I can't seem to suss this one. Any helpers?
    Cheers

It's because the second podcast has the same name as the earlier one. If you change the title slightly in some way it will probably be accepted - you can change the title back when it has been.

  • "Feed already submitted"

Yesterday, I contacted ITunes to delete my current feed since I no longer own the domain it is hosted on.
Today, I got the email letting me know the feed was terminated so I went ahead and tried to submit my new feed adress only to get the message from ITunes that my feed had already been submitted.
If the feed doesnt show up in a few days, who can I contact to try to get this resolved?
    Thanks in advance!

  • Having problems getting podcast on iTunes, tried to resubmit and got an already submitted error

Having problems getting podcast on iTunes, tried to resubmit and got an already submitted error. How can I get the podcast on iTunes?

You didn't need to get it removed: you can make any changes to a feed that you want, changing, adding or deleting episodes, and iTunes will pick them up.
However, in the present situation you have fallen over a bug in the submissions process. The workaround is changing the title; as this hasn't worked you need to change the feed URL if possible, and also you could change the contents of the 'link' tag.
If you can't get it sorted you could try emailing Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com and asking them to reinstate you (give them all the details) - their responses are a bit variable, but they may help you.

  • I tried to submit my podcast but showed difficulty in downloading and later showed already submitted please help!

I tried to submit my podcast but showed difficulty in downloading and later showed already submitted please help!

If your podcast was submitted but rejected for any reason then the automated part of the submissions process will give you that error despite the rejection - I assume it's a bug. The workaround is to change the title slightly.
But if they had difficulty downloading (what? - the feed, or the episodes - didn't they say) then you have a technical problem you need to address. Obviously I can't advise any further unless you care to post your feed URL.

  • Podcast already submitted, but never shows up

  • Error ERR-3331 This page was already submitted and can not be re-submitted.

Our application has been in production for several years... we upgraded last fall to 3.0 (10g). Periodically in the past users would get this error message "Error ERR-3331 This page was already submitted and can not be re-submitted." but in the past week it has been occuring after every 5-8 page loads. Our application has a couple dozen tabs and if I click from one tab to another (same level), after the 5-8 clicks, I get this error. I am not doing anything on any of the pages, and there are no auto-submits.
Since this has just started happening consistently (previous errors were related to users using the back key, this time it is not), I wonder if there is any known reason as to what might cause this to occur (application server setting change? etc?) Or is there a particular type of item on the page (LOVs?) that would make this more likely to occur on some pages than others.

Hmmm... it probably isn't possible to grant outside access to the system, but...
Does anyone know if it is "possible" that this could occur if one page is still loading when the user clicks on a new tab and attempts to load a new page before the first is loaded? And, is there a setting/page option that I can set to immediately cancel the load of a page when a user tries to load a new page before it's finished?
I wonder because I can only make the error happen this morning when I click very quickly between tabs (yesterday when more users were online, I didn't have to click fast to make it happen).

  • Will apps be rejected that are already submited for 2.1?

Are there any special procedures for this transitions? If an app is already submitted on wednesday say, and today all phones are upgraded to 2.1. Will the app automatically be rejected and you are required to use the newer SDK?

There is no reason for them to reject apps just because they were built for 2.0. Obviously they will still work in 99% of the cases, otherwise all of the apps already in the store would be broken for everyone that upgraded their firmware. Also, n app does not need to be built for OS 2.1 to take advantage of the bug fixes in the 2.1 firmware.

  • Similar problemes as already stated:

similar problemes as already stated: 'Not Enough Storage'... I pressed the two bottoms, but now it shows only 'i-tunes' setting. How can I get rid off this problem without enlarging my storage capacity...?

How Do I Get Rid Of The “Other” Data Stored On My iPad Or iPhone?
    http://tinyurl.com/85w6xwn
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.
There are several factors that affect the amount of storage space on an iPad. First is the true amount of space on a hard drive. There is a math difference in how companies spec hard drive size and the true amount of available space. Second the iPad has some pre-installed apps that take up space. The 16GB iPad starts out with only 13.8GB of available space.

  • Podcast already submitted problem

On Feb 19, 09, I got the approved podcast email from iTunes.
    See below:
    Dear Podcast Owner

Your podcast will be searchable within the iTunes Store in approximately 1-2 days.
If you have other questions or wish to change your podcast, please consult the technical spec at http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/techspecs.html. The spec contains detailed information about key topics like adding "cover art" and changing your feed URL.
After adding a new episode, update your feed in the fastest possible manner with the ping service by visiting this URL:

Then 3 hours later, I got another email from "[email protected]. This email was letting me know that the Podcast has not been included in the podcast directory.
    See below:
    Dear Podcast Owner
The following podcast has not been included in the iTunes podcast directory.
    Name: djarity's Podcast
    Feed URL: http://djarity.podOmatic.com/rss2.xml
Submissions may not be included in the directory for a variety of reasons. For more information, please see the podcast technical specification at http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/techspecs.html.
    Sincerely,
    The iTunes Store Team
I tried to contact them and they keep telling me to re-submit the podcast RSS but when I do, I keep getting This podcast has already been submitted. What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
    Thanks,
    Al

Apple lists the following possible reasons for rejection:
    * Technical problems, usually the lack of episodes or the inability to download or play episodes. These problems can almost always be avoided by testing your feed using Subscribe to Podcast in the Advanced menu prior to submission.
    * Requirement of a login or password to access the feed or any of the episodes.
    * Strong prevalence of sexual content.
    * Use of explicit language in the title or description of the podcast.
    * Use of explicit language in the podcast when the <explicit> tag is not set to "yes".
    * Apparent misuse of copyrighted material or other violation of third party rights.
    * Inclusion of offensive material, such as racist content or child ***********.
    * Misrepresentational use of Apple copyright, including "iPod" and "iTunes."
Looking at your feed, it seems possible that they are concerned about copyright: if you have not obtained permissions from the copyright owners or a licence from a recognized licensing authority then your podcast might very well be in breach of copyright and this would be sufficient reason for it to be rejected.

  • Podcasts show as already submitted

I recently had 3 podcasts removed from your iTunes store because I am changing the feed and, since I can't edit or change the source code on the prior feed (at Mevio), I had to have them canceled/removed, with the intent to resubmit them.
    All three podcasts...
    1. Podcast for Dummys
    2. Gracie Sez Hai
    3. Topical Vacation
...were removed as requested. As of early yesterday there are no traces of the show or any episodes when doing a search on any of them.
When attempting to submit the new podcast RSS feeds for any of the three, I get the message "podcast appears to already have been submitted" (to paraphrase). I understand that this is because it recognizes the title information in the podcast as being the same as what I previously had, however, again, those podcasts have been removed, so they should not be showing as having already been submitted.
Additionally, I could understand if perhaps these new feeds were already being reviewed - thus the message above - however, I have not received any email notifying me that this is the case. I know that were one to be sent, I should receive it, as another podcast I just submitted (which hadn't had a previous incarnation on iTunes) went through the submission, notification and acceptance process with no problems.
At this point, what is keeping me from being able to submit these feeds if the previous podcasts have been removed? Do I have to wait for some time to be able to submit them or have they already been submitted with their new feed successfully? Who would I contact to find out?
Thank you. I'm happy to answer any questions in order to sort this out.
    Joel VanBrocklin

It doesn't say anything about "Other iTunes Store Features" but it does have "iTunes U & Podcasts". However, in whatever way I get to the Express Lane, it keeps on asking for an order number (presumably from the store), and won't let me continue.
For now I guess I'll have to try just changing the name and hope I can change it back. Until I can get a hold of someone at Apple, anyway.
    Thanks Roger!

  • Podcast already submitted?

    Hi,
The feed for my podcast has apparently already been submitted although no one has access to the feed except me. Is there anyway of tracking the feed to see what it's been submitted as on iTunes?
This is incredibly frustrating as I can't find the name of the podcast etc. so I can't link people to the podcast on itunes.
Any help would be fantastic, thank you. :)`

Okay, I've been having the exact problem after hitting the dreaded "Report a Concern" button.
The advice I got was to go back into your RSS XML file and physically change a couple of lines temporarily to fool iTunes short term.
iTunes apparently has "safeguards" to prevent duplicate submissions.
so... go into your code and change the line, <title>your cast name <title> just put in anything between the <title's>
Then - change the line that reads, <link> http://whatever.libsyn.com <link> -change it to a bogus address.
Then after a day or so, change the code back to what it originally was before you messed it up with the report a concern incident.
iTunes by that time will attempt to re-parse and realize there was no duplicate submission. So, after you correct your code back to its original, and either ping iTunes or wait for it to make its regular cycle, your submission should be valid and iTunes should recognize your re-submission and list the podcast.
However, I do not know how to access my bloody RSS file in the Libsyn interface to make the changes - anyone know how I can get to my code?
I'm just passing on this possible solution - if it's wrong please correct me, I haven't been able to prove it yet.
