Problem filling in information at certain websites

Why can't I  fill in information at certain websites?

Dan,
It would be a lot easier to understand if you uploaded the
image somewhere
so we could see it. Preferably the FWs png

| Hi, if anyone can help me with this problem i would be most
grateful, it
is
| probably something simple but i cant seem to get around it.
|
| I have created one image by joining together a few vector
shapes (i.e.
using
| the line tool and bending certain lines to create a desired
pattern). Now
that
| i have done this i wanted to fill the image with a colour
but i am unable
to do
| so. I have grouped the lines together to create one image
but it fails to
fill
| in the whole object but only fills certain parts on the
outside and not
the
| inside of the image :-/
|
| It is hard to put into words but hopefully somebody knows
what i am
talking
| about,

  • Firefox cannot transfer information from certain websites.

I am able to load a problem website, but subsequent pages on the same website are not transferred. A message appears at the left bottom side of the page indicating that the requested information is being transferred from the website, but nothing happens. This is happening with only one website when using Firefox. The website does work correctly using Internet Explorer.

+Thanks very much for the quick reply!! I've spent so long trying to figure this out.+
    Mail
    On your new computer;
run Mail: then go to File / Import Mailboxes, and navigate to the mailboxes on the G3.
+Well that worked! Sort of anyway.+
+Any of the imported emails all say: "The message from whoever <[email protected]> concerning “whatever” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it". So I can see the sender name and the date but not the actual message which of course is not too helpful. The account is online so I don't understand the message.+
    Address Book
On your G3, create a new folder on your desktop and call it vCards. Next open Address Book, select all the addresses, then go to File / Export vCard, and select the folder you created as the destination. Next, on your new computer, open Address Book, and use File / Import to get the vCards from the folder on the G3's desktop.
+Great! That worked perfectly. I had tried this before but was trying to just import. Didn't realize I had to export then import.+
    iTunes
I do not have a clue, since I have never run iTunes.
+Ha ha! Well I thought I would try to just export the library and then import it similar to what I did with the Address Book, but doing that just imports the names of the playlists, not the actual songs. I'll go post this under itunes, so it doesn't get too confusing. What are you using instead of iTunes by the way?+

  • Problems loading still images on certain Websites

    Folks:
I was having problems with installing Flash Player 9 on Mac OS X...which I think I fixed by enabling Quicktime MIME plug-ins. I've tried to enable the still image plug-in several times, but notice that it doesn't stay "enabled" and I see the Quicktime "Q" icon where there should be a still image on certain Web sites.
I'm sure there's a simple fix to my "dumb" problem.
My gratitude to anyone who can show me the light.
    Thx.

    To Apple Discussions.
    Repair permissions & restart.
Open up the QT MIME Settings & click on the Images arrow so that it points down.
Make sure there are check marks in everything under Images except for PDF Image.
    Click the OK button.
    Restart (optional)

  • Safari won't open certain websites

I am sorry if this already has a thread but I couldn't find it. My question is whether anyone can give me some advice about how to get over the problem of safari not opening certain websites. I have followed Apple's suggestion's to add "index/html" following the address but it does not work. They also suggest to contact each websites adminstrator which I don't have the time as there are a number of websites in which I have encountered this problem. Also, it seems to be a deficiency of the Safari rather than the other websites. How do I get over this obestacle? TX!

I didn't want to start a new thread, but I just experienced something very strange.
First of all, I installed Leopard 36 hours ago, and except for a small email issue, it's been great. Until this...
I was on my own website, when it suddenly said it couldn't open my page because it couldn't find the server. I checked with my host, and everything was fine. I tried going there with an old version of IE, and I got right on. Tried again with Safari, and no dice. I studied the addresses to see if anything was different, and noticed that in IE, there was no "www." in the address. So, I deleted the www from the address in Safari, and it found the website. However, all the images were X's because their address starts with a www.
This lasted about 10 minutes, and then everything was fine. During that time, other websites seemed to work fine.
My head is starting to hurt again.

  • Certain Websites Cause Problems

I recently migrated a user account from my G4 Mac Mini to a new MacBook. It has been working great; however, certain websites no longer work in Firefox on the mac.
One example is this website: http://homes.timesunion.com/sales/SearchIndex.asp
It no longer allows one to log in, stating an error code. This doesn't occur in Safari.
Another website has a form on it. After selecting one of the options and pressing next (or whatever the button says), it states the that Browser has made an invalid request. (Doesn't happen in Safari)
Why does this occur with these websites (Firefox 2...fully upgraded, but copied from my mini, OS X 10.5.1, MacBook Late 2007)?
    Thanks,
    Shniba

Can you start by giving us the troubleshooting information from the Firefox installation that's having problems. This is an essential step in troubleshooting.<br>
*Click the Firefox button at the top left, then click the ''Help'' menu and select ''Troubleshooting Information'' from the sub-menu. If you don't have a Firefox button, click the Help menu at the top and select ''Troubleshooting Information'' from the menu.
Now, a new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
*At the top of the page, you should see a button that says "Copy text to clipboard". Click it.
*Now, go back to your forum post and click inside the reply box. Press Ctrl+V to paste all the information you copied into the forum post.

  • Firefox cannot load certain websites and I've tried all suggested options to fix the problem.

I cannot load certain websites (my bank, some public/civic offices, etc.) on Firefox or Internet Explorer (I usually use Firefox) and have tried all the suggested options in Firefox Help to remedy this problem: clearing cache and cookies, making sure no proxy is selected, allowing cookies). How do I fix this? I use a broadband internet connection that is shared.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    <b> To Enable SafeMode </b>
*You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
*''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox"; Linux: "Firefox/File > Quit")

  • Problem loading certain websites

For the past year or so, my iMac has (running Mac OS X 10.5.8) has been giving me trouble when it comes to loading certain websites. The reason why I think it's my computer as opposed to my browser or my internet connection is because these websites will load on other computers connected to the wireless network in my home, and because the problem persists with any browser I attempt to use - I've tried Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari and none of them load these websites. (Also, they load fine when I'm on the internet via my iPod touch.)
The websites in question include about.com, ehow.com, and any website with a .me extension. There are others, but those are the three that come to mind at the moment. When I try to go on about.com for example, the page simply does not load. There's not even an attempt to load the page. It's very frustrating because I see no reason why these websites shouldn't work.
I have tried clearing the caches, history and preferences for all browsers, as well as logging in as a different user on my computer and seeing if these websites worked - they didn't work, even as a different user. I was told it could be a problem with the .plist files, so I dragged all of them into the trash and tried loading these webpages, but it still didn't work. Does anyone know what else it could be? Also, I apologize if my description of the problem was unclear.

Some other things you can try:
    1. Run Software Update (in the Apple Menu) and make sure you have all available Apple updates for OS X.
    2. Go to Adobe.com and make sure you have the latest versions of Shockwave and Flash for your computer installed.
    3. Go to System Preferences > Parental Controls and see if any restrictions have been established.
    4. Go to System Preferences > Accounts and set up a new user account. Try using your browsers from this account. If they work, there is a problem with your "old" account. Next steps will depend on how much time and effort you're willing to devote to troubleshooting.
    5. Power cycle your router and computer.
    6. Go to System Preferences > Network. Highlight your router (assuming you're using a wireless connection) and select the "TCP/IP" panel. Click on the "Renew DHCP Lease" button.

  • I am having problems with certain websites that require adobe flash player because of the restrictions that apple has put in place. Is there a way to get to sites that require flash player?

  • I have problems scrolling on certain website

I have the current firefox installed on my system...all of the sudden I can't scroll on certain websites....its sluggish and hangs...some sites are just fine...one site in particular is www.crocs.com as an example....Now when I use IE no problems what so ever....I have updated my mouse software uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and it still didn't fix it...Its more than just crocs that affects but some places I have no problems

Slow scrolling issues can be caused by fixed background images on web pages.<br />
A test can be to disable the colors for websites.<br />
Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors: Colors > "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
If that works then see if you can find an update for your display driver.

The product images on certain websites i go to on my ipad do not appear (ie. gap)? I never had this problem before...what could be causing this?

Thanks for your input however, what I don't understand is that some of the product images do appear on the site but not all images? The first 10 product pics appear but then, it's just the product descriptions after that with no images? I find it strange that it used to work on this particular site (mainly Gap and Old Navy) and now it doesn't? I do a lot of online shopping there so it's unfortunate. I contacted their online support and they said to download the Opera Mini App but that didn't work...I see even less images? If I visit the site on my Ipod Touch or my Macbook, I see all images, no problem? Not sure what the problem is?

Google is your friend. You have to move very quickly on this. It can't be discussed how to do it on this site and is not supported.

  • On certain websites, I cannot use instant messenger. It comes up as a "connection error". If I use IE8, I do not have this problem... I have the latest Java and Adobe Flash player downloads... what gives?

When attempting to use an instant messenger on certain websites, I keep getting a "connection error" message.... The IM pops up, it appears to start loading then I get the "connection error".

  • Safari will not open certain websites

    Aloha,
I'm new to mac, and so far so good. The problem is that I can't get safari (or firefox) to open certain websites. The one that bugs me the most is https://www.navo.navy.mil/products/geo.htm . I use it to get weather information that is not available in more mainstream sites.
It is a military product, and what I should get is three windows/frames/boxes that
when you click one thing, it gives you options for the next box, which opens information that you want.
This site works, in pc no problem (win98, win2000, XP, running firefox, ie or opera). Is there a work around to this problem? Is there another browser that will open this site up in mac?
I've tried to find this information elsewhere to no avail. In my business it's essential information.
    Help please!
Oh, and how do I find out what version os I'm running?
    Mahalo Chris

    Hi Chris,
    Welcome to Discussions.
I'm not sure what the Navy site is supposed to look like, but it appears to load ok in both Safari 3.0.3 (public beta for OS X 10.4) and Camino 1.5.3. Here's a screenshot of what I see:
I can't seem to access any data though as each search tells me the service is temporarily unavailable (is that expected?). What do you see when you try to enter this website?
Oh, and how do I find out what version os I'm running?
Click on the Apple logo in the top left of your screen and choose 'About this Mac'
