Problem finding developer tab in Business Catalyst commerce site

I upgraded a free site to commerce, but developer tab is not showing up in business catalyst. How do I turn the developer tab on?

You only see that if you have a partner account.

After putting my site on the temporary server adobe muse provides with the option PUBLISH having no problems now ive made changes tonight and keep getting errors ive unistalled MUSE and re - downloaded latest version Im a paying subscriber and need this site on a temporary sever for meeting in the morning i not impressed and ive also started a fresh with a site with just text and tried to do a test PUBLISH and again error meg can anyone help im really in stuck here

Business catalyst - Muse sites in development not publishing

Hi, I am getting an error message from Business Catalyst that my site validity cannot be verified and I can't test publish at the moment. It's happening across the board with all my current Muse sites still in dev. I've done nothing new/different since last night when they all were behaving normally. All-in-one inventory management linked to business catalyst eCommerce site , amazon, ebay, etsy, etc.

I have an eCommerce website to create for one of my clients.
My client will sell products on his website, ebay, amazon, and maybe event etsy.
What would be the best solution for a all-in-one multi-channel inventory control system?
Is there a way to link the Business Catalyst inventory mgmt system with other sales channels?
Do you suggest a different solution, in order to have an all-in-one control of inventory linked to the website, eBay, Amazon, Etsy and maybe others, so that my client will be able to see which models are selling the most, as well as what is left and what is in need of reordering?

I've built systems like this in the past, with any custom solution the devil is in the details, it depends on what you want to do and what you expect. As Liam has pointed out the API is your best friend here, you can develop something that pulls data from BC and puts it where you need.
If you try to do everything at once (all those sites listed) you might find you have problems, I would start with one site first, make any changes you need there and roll out to the other platforms.

Publish site with muse to temp site but then Business Catalyst replaces site with Coming Soon. How d

Hello. I will try to repeat my steps to find the issue:
I create a new site from scratch on business catalyst so I can choose the package with the blog and ecommerce.
I then create the site in Muse and publish it to the domain I created when I created the new site in Business Catalyst.
I add some modules to my Muse design and publish.
Everything works for a while but then later the Muse published site is replaced with Business Catalyst's default "Coming Soon" graphic.
How do I stop this from happening?

Ok, I figured out what is happening, though I still don't know how to correct it.
If the temp domain is put in without the index - http://bloomingarden.businesscatalyst.com - I get the coming soon graphic.
If I add the index.html - http://bloomingarden.businesscatalyst.com/index.html the site shows up.
How do I get the site to show up when just the domain is put in without the index.html?

How do you include other files with Muse publish to business catalyst test site

in the website i created an animation that i have inserted as an HTML snippet (ie copied relevant code into "INSERT HTML"
The question is how do include the folder with all the files required to run the animation when i click "PUBLISH" to business catalyst?

Upgrade from Creative Cloud free site to business catalyst paid site

Hi there,
I am trying to upgrade from a free creative cloud site to BC Marketing
How do I "claim the site as a free Creative Cloud site first, before the additional upgrade options will be present."
When I Log into the admin console of my site > Site Settings > Site Management, the option to upgrade the site to a higher plan doesn't present.

Dreamweaver CS6 does not connect to Business Catalyst: Retrieving site definition..

Hello,
I have been attempting to use Business Catalyst but cannot get it to work with Dreamweaver CS6.
When I create or import a BC site the process gets stuck at "Retrieving site definition..". I thought it might take a while and left it overnight. When I woke up this morning it was still stuck.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

I contacted support about this, and I was told that Business Catalyst in Dreamweaver is 'End of Life'

Is there a way to embed a business catalyst ecommerce site into another site?

If I build an ecommerce site in business catalyst, can I embed it into another site? For example if I already have a public site (using Adobe CQ), can I embed a Business Catalyst site into my Adobe CQ webpage to function as the ecommerce portion of my Adobe CQ site? Would the API allow for this? Thanks in advance.

Yes you could do it with the API, but it would an epic programming adventure to get it going, as far I know no one else is doing it. It would be extremely slow to use the API in realtime (ie get the contents from the API every page request as the API is slow and times out certain parts of the day sometimes) so you would have to sync your data between the sites. You would also have to work out shipping externally because you can't get any sort of shipping information from the API (as far as I know)
An easier way would be to setup a reverse proxy to your BC site, the only issue with that is that when you start to hit HTTPs pages on checkout you wont be able to proxy them (securely) unless you get your own certificate for the site you are proxying from. I have done this for other sites before but not BC, in theory it should work because BC allows any domain and they shouldn't be any sort of domain / RDNS security checks.

Problem publishing adobe muse in business catalyst

I'm new here. I recently tried doing this and it work fine. but lately it doesnt allow me and this is the error message:
"An unknown authentication error has occured using your AdobeID. (SHARED_UNKNOWN_ERROR:22)"
have you guys experienced this? no problem with my Adobe ID (that is why i can chat in this forum)

Hi,
Kindly sign out of the Muse application (Help Menu-> Sign out)
Then, close Muse.
Re-launch Muse, and try publishing.
Check if that resolves the issue.

Business Catalyst Pushing site not working

I'm trying to push my site live and can't seem to get it to work. I have a creative cloud membership and can't figure out how to get the hosting to work on my site.

I believe you have published the site from Muse, Please login to admin of the site > In dashboard there will be "Launch Site" > Click on that.
This would push the site live.
If still you are facing issues, please contact support directly.

Error with reCAPTCHA when submitting form on Business Catalyst hosted site

Just had a client complain that the webform on their MUSE website isn't submitting correctly. When I tested this myself the image verification for reCAPTCHA is failing and throwing out an error on a new page.
As it is a BC hosted website, the form no longer requires a verification key (it was previously hosted elsewhere until recently).
I've since discovered this happening on another of my websites... Any ideas please?
The error I see is:
ERROR: An error occurred. Image verification failed. If you believe this is incorrect, please contact your system administrator or go back and re-submit the form

There can be few reasons for this including captcha or recatcha included in the form , any html edit with form etc.
Please provide the page url where form is inserted so that we can check on our end, additionally have you tried to re-insert the form and then check or update the site again from Muse to BC ?

Bootstrao nav menu on business catalyst web site(dwt)

I am trying to make a nav menu using bootstrap on a BC website template in dreamweaver but the nav menu doesnt work, the nav menu button doesnt do nothing wen we click it and it shows on the desktop view too.(all its still blank and with no css classes)

Signing on to Business Catalyst is timing out

I have not used my Creative Cloud allotment of Business Catalyst testing sites in a while, and I want to manage them - remove unused ones and add anew site that I am testing.
I don't know where to do that or how to sign on to that.
Also when I just hit Publish, the logon is timing out. I have chnged my password recently, but I have no trouble logging on to Adobe.com.
How do I correct this??

Hmmm - well there is menu item that says publish, as well as the publish option at the top right, but both of them send me to what seems to be an endless loop of trying to log me into business Catalyst. I really wish i could find that "manage" command you speak of - been searching for tall morning!
I went to BC and was able to log in with my Adbe.com password, but it would only let me see either of the two sites I had up for testing purposes(there is a dropdown menu on the BC login page) but no administrator type page showing me BOTH sites and allowing me to delete them - BOTH are old testing sites no longer in use.
so i finally uploaded my new site onto a testing folder on my own server at InMotion, so that I can send it to my client. I need to get this straightened out, though - very frustrating - I never go wrong assuming it is my own error causing these problems, but still trying to debug myself!
