Problem flagging pics in Survey & Loupe mode

Am running LR 3. It used to be, when I had several images open in Loupe mode, I could select one of those and flag it (or apply a rating or color) and only that image would be tagged. Now, for some reason (i'm assuming some update), when I do the same, it flags all the images open in Loupe mode, not just the selected image. This is also the case with Survey mode. This is majorly annoying and makes my editing process difficult. What happened? Is this a glitch wiht some update, or was this purposeful on the part of Adobe (in whihc case, can we please go back to the way it was)?
If anyone can enlighten me and let me know how to solve this problem, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm getting very frustrated with editing!!

Brian,
My guess is that you have AutoSynch turned on. Look at the button in the lower right or the Metadata->Enable Autosynch menu item.

Check your White Balance.
Basic Zone use Auto White Balance. Creative Zone use whatever you set. If you get Blue cast, then it must be set to Fluorescent or Incandescent.

Hello I have a problem with a Wifi Survey app, this app is from Access Agility, however this app was working fine, but without advise stop of working, I tried to open again, but app be close after few seconds. Every time that I tried to open it, in diagnostic and use create some files, in special one named LatestCrash-WifiSurvey.plist, this one generate an incident identifier E73B0164-CDFA-4E9E-839E-A0C021BD17A2, but this incident identifier change every time that I tried to open, the last incident identifier is: DE600EB3-AB57-4C33-8DE8-71F6788A7441.
After of it, I checked that the app had a new version available for downloading, I took a backup of my ipad and then upgrade this app, but is the same problem, all I want is to save the projects I had in this app, I´m afraid that if I delete this app and re-install it, probably I loss my projects.
Thanks for your help indicating how I can save my projects and see them for example in an iphone for assurance that data is not lost.
Something that called my attention is part of the log that shows a big CPU processing, but the strange thing is I killed all applications.

Problem to come back from sleep mode in Lenovo Thinkpad T400 using Windows XP. Each time closing the T400 lid and try to make the laptop into a sleep mode for some time, it does not properly come out of sleep mode. Login screen is able to see when opening the lid for the first time, but it only seen for a while before then a black screen on T400 Thinkpad appears. Sometime the hard drive activity can be shown also. And then, to come back I had only one option to hard re-boot.
I tried Fn+F4 and power button once to come back but no use.
Please provide me some solution for this?

oh sorry and its been closed inbetween uses. When i open it the keyboard doesn't light up and it makes no sound.

TS1702 Problems with the app Drive Safe Mode.

Have other users experienced problems with the app Drive Safe Mode? I can't use it, it's frozen, doesn't do anything at all. I use an iPhone5. I shut off the phone twice, I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, nothing works. Tks for your help,

1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

so I have called HP tech support 12 times over the last 6 weeks and still my HP Officejet 4620 loses connection overnight. Of course becasue it was a birthday present I spent more time than I normally would have on this issue. While the tech are very polite they have not fixed my problem and now it is too late to return printer to store. This is a lot of money wasted and I think they need to admit this is a bug in this printer and resolve the problem!!!!!

You need to understand the meaning of the word Screen.
It has nothing to do with half tones or rasters.
It refers to additive (light) colour mixing like on your computer screen. So Red + Green = Yellow and so on. Look at your own screen with a strong magnifying glass to see how it works.
Like Monika says it works best in RGB mode. If you are working in CMYK you must use a rich black (preferably 100% of all 4 colours in this rare case).
Incidentally, an opacity mask might be a better way to go for buttons and stuff.
There too you should use 100% of all 4 colours in the mask when working in CMYK.

Flagging/keywording photos in filmstrip when in Loupe mode

When in Loupe view it appears impossible to select multiple photos in the film strip and apply a rating or to add keywords to them. Only the first photo in the selection is acted upon. To do multiple files I have to go into grid view, set the parameters, and then go back to Loupe view. Just a bother, not a deal breaker.

Go to Metadata menu > Enable Auto Sync and you'll get the behaviour you want. Just be careful that you don't accidentally apply a setting to multiple photos without realising they're all selected.

Auto Hide Panels when in survey/compare /loupe modes

As the topic states.
I may have a couple of panels open for basic file work (folder nav, keywords etc) When I get into culling images I like to have as much space as possible.
I would like the option for all panels to auto hide when I enter one of the mentioned modes. And then have them reopen (if I had them open) when I go back to grid view...

Thanks Jeff. I am aware of those options. But for times sake I want to have the option to do it automatically. I have both my hands occupied, 1 on the mouse and it's 3 custom keys and the other on a Shuttle Express puck with my most used key strokes assigned to it. So going up to the keyboard to do this removes some of the fluidity. Also when tabbing the panels open and closed does it not open/close ALL 4 panels? I just want it to toggle what I have open which is normally Left panel and Film strip.
May be I am just being too lazy :)

Aperture 3.2.4 flagged pics in Project not showing in Flagged view

I have used Aperture 3.2.4 flagging many times as a method to create batches of pics for emailing. Tonight I have flagged 6 pics. I can see the flag on each pic, deselect and reselect each flag, but in the "Flagged" view I am not seeing any pictures. In browser, in the list view, the pictures are showing as flagged.

It is possible that you have a filter set on the flagged album. When the flagged album is selected with browser view on look in the upper right hand corner of the screen the window should say unrated or better.
If that is not the case what happens when you hold the mouse over the flagged album in the Library pane of the Inspector. Does it report any versions in the album?
Finally take a look at this User Tip Images not appearing in browser, search filter is cleared The same problem this tip addresses with the Photos section of the Library also applies to the Flagged album. See if this doesn;t clear it up if the above fail.
And of course the steps shown in Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics will also be helpful.
Post back if you still have problems.

hi, i have oracle 8i and reports 6i, my reports it's generate in mode character, when i send to print (printer epson fx1180), the print is bad, (i configure the prt files example: bold esc "E", Unbold esc "F"),
MY problem is with windows 2000, i send to print on windows 98 and all good, but now i have windows 2000, anybody help me to config the printers file for windows 2000

You can create a PDF file using the [itext |http://www.lowagie.com/iText/] library
you can create reports using jasperreports
you can print the reports and save them as PDF,EXCEL ,HTML and more...
(jasperreports is using the [itext |http://www.lowagie.com/iText/] library )
you can edit your reports using ireport

Problem with URL iView regarding fetch mode and SSO to non-sap webapps

Hi,
I have created an URL iView which opens an internal webapp. When the fetch mode is set to client-side the page is displayed for the user. But when I set the fetch mode to server-side, the page cannot be displayed by the user.
No proxy is needed. I tried to open the wepapp direcly on the portal server without any problem. Are there any additional points to be considered?
On the other hand I want to realize SSO to this webapp (form based authentication) with user mapping. Is it correct, that I have to user server-side fetch mode, when I want to use the POST request method?

Have a look at System Administration - System Configuration - Service Configuration - Applications - com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice
This is used to do the Server side fetch.

[Solved] Problem with LOV and 'enter query' mode

Hi all,
I'm kind of new to Forms and I'm having some problems that I'm not being able to resolve. I already search it on the net, but nothing relevant came up. If anyone could help me I appreciated it.
In my form I have some fields, and in one of them I have a LOV, and almost everything works fine. I inserted data, changed it, deleted it and all it's ok.
But when I change to 'enter query' mode, when I try to search for data on the LOV field it ignores what I write.
That is, for it, it's the same if I make F11 -> write 'aaaa' -> ctrl + F11 or if I make F11 -> '%' -> ctrl + F11.
It behaves the same way, shows me all the records.
Probably I'm missing something basic, but I'm not getting it...

when you create a lov by wizard the lov and record group have always the same name..
the problem is that the item is NOT based in the tabe.
what kind of query do you execute if you choose something from a love which is not based on the db?
i mean, this item has no influence on the query of the table, so whatever you choose it's like a "select * from table"

Problem running in closed-lid (clamshell) mode?

New 2.4 glassbook, upgraded to 4Gb Crucial ram, using bluetooth mouse and keyboard, with external Dell 2007FP monitor.
With my old MBP in sleep mode, I could connect the monitor, ethernet, and power, and when I plugged in usb with the lid still closed, the laptop would turn on and everything worked in lid-closed mode.
Now with new glassbook, do the same thing (using display port to DVI adapter), the machine whirrs up, the display turns on (without top menu), and then the laptop goes to sleep. Tried it on a different monitor, same problem.
Am I the only one with this problem of the glassbook not wanting to operate in lid-closed mode?

Yes, same problem. Swapped memory chips back to Apple, same problem. Reset SMU and zapped pram, same problem. It's gonna suck if I have to exchange the laptop because I've spent a day migrating over. I'm hoping it's just a defective DP-DVI adapter. I've also noticed external display flashing (losing signal) as detailed in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1756755&tstart=0 This makes me worry it's not just the adapter but a problem (driver or hardware) with the 9400M. Can someone else confirm they can operate in clamshell mode without problems?
