Problem getting apps on new iPad air

I purchased a new iPad Air and some of the apps from my iPad 3rd gen do not show in my purchased apps nor are they listed in the app store any longer. The apps still work on my iPad 3rd gen. How do I get them to my new iPad air?

I am running the most up to date iOS 7.0.4 on all my mobile devises. The apps still work on the iPad 3rd gen with iOS 7.0.4 installed. But if I go to the app store on either of these devises, the apps do not appear, even under my purchased apps on the older iPad. Not sure how that can happen when the app still works on that devise. I am really at a loss.

Free apps for new iPad air not loaded and they are showing up as $9.99 in the App Store. When seething up the it asked download now or wait until later and I choose to wait but now they are nowhere to download

After activating your iPad, go to the App Store and search for your free apps:
1. Pages
2. Numbers
3. Keynote
4. iPhoto
5. iMovie
6. GarageBand
If apps are still showing the price: sign out>reboot>and sign in again
Settings>iTunes and App Store>Apple ID

IWork/iLife Apps with New iPad Air

iWork/iLife apps are supposed to be free on a new iOS device. I bought and registered a new iPad Air and the Appstore wants to charge me for downloading them. How can I get these on my device without being charge?

I was under the impression they were separate apps. When you bought your iPad Air, you got the iOS versions, but if you want the MacOS versions, you will need to purchase them.
They were free when you purchased a new iOS/MacOS product, but the free software would most likely coincide with that.

Sync them from iTunes, if you were syncing with iTunes. If you weren't, download them again in the purchased tab of the App Store. You will not have to pay for them again if you use the same Apple ID.

you should have been backing up as well and you could restore from a backup in order to get all of your app data and device settings back.

Downloading existing apps onto new iPad air

I have just bought the new iPad air. I downloaded all my stuff from iCloud onto it. However, certain apps have not downloaded and when I try to set them up via the App Store it won't let me download them, just open them. Eg I can't download the iplayer, channel four and Facebook app. Any suggestions most gratefully received. Many thanks

I downloaded all the apps but couldnt see them on my ipad air. Even Spotlight wont show them either. But the app store told me to "open", which means I already downloaded? I have been restarting the ipad for for many times but couldnt see them on the main page or anywhere else. I just replaced my ipad2 or ipad3 with iPad Air due to calendar shuts down unexpectedly. Problem now exists on new iPad Air. Multiple visits to Genius Bar resulted in no answers. Told value of time not worth moreGenius Bar visits-still crashes-go figure

Conflicting opinions from Genius Bar:
-apple calendar software is defective
-apple operating system problem
-software conflict with something purchased from App Store via iTunes
-some conflict between Exchange Server and apple calendar app (this problem is not occurring on mine or any of mr work colleagues iPhone. This problem is not occurring on any of my colleagues' iPads
Is there any Apple support out there that can help with my several day old new iPad? Or maybe some smart user has figured this out?

Problem getting photos into an iPad Air

The SD card readers (either 30 pin to SD Card adapter or the Lighting to SD Card Camera Adapter) are designed to be used with SD cards that have been formatted and used in a camera. The iPad expect to see a specific organization of the photos. First there must be a folder named DCIM. In side that folder photos must have specific naming structure. IMG_xxxx.jpg is correct where xxxx refers to a four digit number.

I have a line across the screen of my new ipad air

I got an Ipad air for Christmas and I have noticed a thin blue line across the bottom of the screen about an inch from the bottom. Has anybody else got this.

I had exactly the same problem with my brand new iPad Air a month or so ago. I searched through these posts to see if anyone had the same problem, and found that a few people did. After seeing that it appeared to be a legitimate defect, I took it back to the Apple Store. The guy there just smiled and said "watch this"....he pulled the screen protector back, and poof, the line was gone from the iPad! Turns out that he had seen the same problem more than once at his store. Seems as though certain screen protectors can get those thin lines burned into them. Neither of us knows why, but that's what the problem was for mine. I sent an email to the screen protector manufacturer (mine was a Zagg) and the only response I got was that it must have been caused by direct sunlight "or something". They sent me a new protector, and so far all is still fine....we'll see if it happens again!

Do you already have the Kindle app downloaded to an iPhone or another iPad? Do you have "Automatic Downloads" turned on under Settings>iTunes & App Store for Apps on your iPad?
You might want to try touching and holding the Kindle App option in your Purchased list, and when it highlights, let go, and it will go to a a detail page for the app with another "Open" option on it. See if it will open from there.
If you do have Automatic Downloads turned on on the iPad, turn it off, and then go back to purchased to see if the Kindle is still showing as "Open".

If I go to the App Store, I work apps show at $9.99. How do I get them free since i have the new iPad Air?
I am signed into the same Apple ID that I bought the iPad with. Also though I have other iOS devices on the account. I previously have not purchased any of the iWork apps.

Go to the App Store on your iPad which should open to Featured. If not, tap on Featured at the lower left of the screen & scroll down to Collections & tap on New to the App Store? then scroll down to Apps Made by Apple & tap. You should now see the iWork & iLife apps as "FREE."

I have the Olive Tree Bible Study app, which is one of the best tools I have ever used for study and within the app I purchased several resources/concordances that are very useful (plus they had up in the wallet, but very worth it)
I had it on my iPad 2 and when I went to back it up on my iMac, the app doesn't populate in the apps tab. This also applies to some of my games but I'm not that worried about losing those.
I am trying to get those particular apps on my iPad Air.

Go into the App Store from your iPad and select Purchased, then select Not onThis iPad, and download the apps that you want. Because you already own them you can download them again for free ... provided that you are using the same Apple ID as you used when you originally purchased them.
In fact when I look up the Olive Tree app, it seems like the main app is free in any case.
Once you are in the app look for some option to restore purchases.
