Small clarification on Step **6) Oracle Home Directory, ...a) Resize the Root Partition**
Ubuntu 11.10 has Gparted available as a Ubuntu software download, DONT use that while trying the above step, instead download the ISO file from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/files/gparted-live-stable/ gparted-live-0.12.0-5.iso (124.6 MB)
Burn that ISO file on a Blank DVD, reboot the Ubuntu , during startup select Boot from DVD Option if not already selected. this will take to Boot Menu Options of Gparted Live then select the first menu option, and this allows to do further action such as Re-sizing .
and once you have chosen and executed step a) . do NOT run step b) also that is "Setup External Storage"
I hope this minor clarification can avoid some confusion

  • Problem seeing images using Firefox

    I have a problem seeing images when using Firefox. I can see them at first, but when i scroll down they dissappear until I get to a certain point on the screen (like when the images are at the top of the firefox screen) then I can see them. Was wondering if anyone knew what the problem could be?

    from the system details you've submitted it appears that you have the foxit reader pdf plugin on your system - it's known to cause problems with hotmail since firefox 12. disable it in firefox > addons > plugins until there's an update by foxit which fixes the issue

  • Grab images using IMAQ without sending frame request

    Hello,
    When a camera is externally triggered, is it possible to design a *.vi that makes use of IMAQ and grabs images via Camera Link frame grabber without sending frame request signals AND without knowing the external trigger? Just to grab images whenever FVAL, LVAL and DVAL go high. Possible?
    Thanks.

    Greetings, kcin;
    Just to check whether I understood or not, to have the Framegrabber acquire images when the FVAL, LVAL and DVAL lines go high with no other communication between the camera and the host computer? What exactly is the purpose of this endeavor?
    Initially, I do not believe it would be possible while using our IMAQ Driver simply due to the way it is designed; I will look into the matter further and inform you of my findings.

  • Display a grab image using subVI

    Hi, i have a problem.. i hope it is easy to solve.
    I did a VI using Grab IMAQdx so that i can adquire images from a USB Camera and save a video. It works great and i acquire and save the video. The problem is that when i try to do this VI as a subVI it doesn't work. For the subVI i'm using one terminal the one for the image display. When i run the program i can't see any image (set of images because i'm using grab and it seems like a video), but it seems that the subVI woks because when i open the file where the video was saved, the video is there but i can't see it at the momento on the front panel...
    Any suggestions?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Your main vi will not update the image that you acquire in the sub vi because you would be running your sub vi inside a loop ( I guess). What you can do is create a global variable of Image display indicator and update the indicator inside the sub vi. In the main vi create a seperate while loop and read the global variable and display it in the main vi. Need a better solution? please post your code.
    The best solution is the one you find it by yourself

  • Problem Printing Images Using JAI

    I'm using JAI in an application that prints images. My program works fine on my development machine (Windows XP), but when I put it on my Windows Server 2008 r2-64 bit, it crashes for certain images (these are large images of land plats) that go to a particular printer (OCE PlotWave 300) It prints my smaller images that are printing on a variety of printers just fine (images of Mortgages etc..) and it prints everything just fine on my development machine. What could possibly be causing this?

    Just installed this program and can't seem to email an image. It goes through the processes and the email box pops up with the attachment and when I click on send, it saves and closes. Where does it save and close to and why isn't it sent immediately. Thank you for your help. I am beginning to feel like a dunce.

    Hi Mattie,
    The role of this program while mailing ends with the popping up of the email box.Any error that occurs afterwards must be due to the mail client.Which mail client are you using?You have mentioned that it saves and closes, so is there any message that is popped about it being saved?

  • Problem in creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePD

    I need a favor I am creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePDF for a web based application. Images have been generated on that pdf but it is creating problem for large size images as half of the image disappeared from that pdf.I am taking the image inside a canvas . How do i control my images so that they come fit on that pdf file for any image size that i take.
    Thanks in advance

    I am having a similar and more serious problem. It takes a
    long time to execute, but even attaching a small image balloons the
    pdf to 6MB plus. After a few images it gets up to 20MB. These are
    100k jpeg files being attached. The resulting PDF is too large to
    email or process effectively. Does anyone know how to reduce
    size/processing?

  • Problem when trying to rename uploaded images using session value

    Hi,
    I have a form where 9 images are uploaded made into thumb nail size and then stored in a file. What I´m trying to do is rename those thumbnails from their original name to username_0, username_1, username_2 etc for each of the 9 thumbs. The username comes from the registration form on the same page. I have created a session variable for the username and am trying to use that to change to name of the image name, whilst my images are uploading and resizing the name stays as the original and not as the new username_$number. • Problem w/ image item using 9i BLOB field and InterMedia ORDImage Object

    Hi,dear all,
    I have a problem with image item in Form 6i. Oracle 9i is used as backend DB, and a table contains image data is created for testing:
    create table image_test(
    id number,
    image blob
    In Form 6i, there is no problem to create a block for inserting/updating the image record into the database. However, it can not be used to retrieve image (blob field), the image item remains empty after 'execute query', while the id field can be retrieved. When the same table is created in Oracle 8.1.7, and the exact same form can be used without any problem both in inserting and retrieval. It seems that the Oracle 9i does not use the same way to store BLOB column. Has anybody ever encountered this problem? How to retrieve image (BLOB) in Form 6i from Oracle 9i?
    I tried to use interMedia ORDImage as the data type in Oracle 9i, that is,
    create table image_test(
    id number,
    image ORDSYS.ORDImage
    Same problem, the form can insert record with image, but when retrieving, nothing displayed. Anybody could help! Thanks in advance!

    hi!
    well working with oracle8i and form6i.
    same problem..but i used (instead of blob or clob as datatype..) Long raw..
    it can be saved as usual..i mean Commit..
    and can be retrieved..using Execute_Query..its working fine..
    well if anybody get any other solution..do inform..

  • Problem loading image for TrayIcon

    This code works great if I'm in Netbeans running my project. No problems.
                //grabbing image for TrayIcon
                String curDir = System.getProperty("user.dir");
                Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage
                        (curDir + "\\src\\edunasdesktop\\earth_alert.png");The problem is when I run my jar file from the dist folder in my project folder. The TrayIcon loads just fine,
    just with no picture. Do I need to point to a different location or do I need to put the picture elsewhere; or both?
    Some pictures I used with the Netbeans GUI Builder on some JLabels are in the same src directory but I used the
    Builder to add those pics so I guess I'm a bit unsure on how to do this by hand, as the Builder handled this type situation
    in previous occassions.

    The [section on icons|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/icon.html#getResource] in the Swing tutorial has information about loading images. The general idea is you use
    URL toImage = SomeClass.class.getResource(...);Incendently, if done right then it will work in Netbeans or in a jar. The way you currently have it set the image would have to be in +/src/edunasdesktop/+ within the jar file for the Toolkit to find it.

    Wondering if my 1433 is not correctly installed and causing the grabbing problem.
