Problem Importing KM via ICE

Hello,
I was able to use ICE to fullbackup my files of my EP 5.0.
Now I want to import this ZIP-File in my new EP 7.0 SP8
but I don't see the navigation points as described in help.sap.com (In the top-level navigation area, choose Content Management ® Content Exchange and then choose Package Upload from the detailed navigation area.)
I am logged in as Administrator... I also browsed through System Administration >> System Configuration >> Knowledge Management >> Content Management
I don't the "Content Exchange" or "Package Upload" point anywhere!
Please advise! Thank you very much!

Okay, I got it. As the user "Administrator" I need
the role "content_administrator". Then I get a new
navigation tab.

Hi Philipp,
you need the ContentManager role in order to be able to navigate to "Content Management" -> "Content Exchange" -> "Package Upload".
Just search under available roles for contentmanager and add the role to your user.
Hope this helps,
Robert

  • Problem importing packages via ICE??

    Hello,
I am running Portal 6.0 on Windows Server. For one of the business package that is to be implemented in my Portal, i have to deploy two files as a pre-requisite that are associated with SAP Note 660777(https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/660777). I have imported the "com.sap.pct.crm.kmconfig40.par" file but having problems deploying "fullupdate_completeBP602.zip". I must admit that i haven't got much idea about importing packages via ICE as i have never used it before.
I tried to import it via, Portal->System Administration->System Configuration. In there, Actions->Import. When i point to the "fullupdate_completeBP602.zip" file and say Preview, i get a error message saying "Enter a valid configuration archive name". Isn't this the right way to import this package? Please guide. Thanks.
    Regards,

I suggest you also ask in the KM forum about ICE. There is also some information in the SAP help pages about ICE. For example an overview of it can be found

  • I am having problems importing from a DVD or a CD to my Ipod nano via windows 8.  I initially set everything up on a computer with windows 7, and authorized the windows 8 computer as well.  Howevre, the oly thing that comes up on windows 8 is my purchases

I am having problems importing to my Ipod nano via windows 8.  I usually do this from a windows 7 computer and have had no problems; hoever in windows 8 I can only see items purchased in the Itunes store.  I do not have access to my entire library, which includes song uploaded from CDs and some videos.  As a result, I'm having problems uploading any new items from CDs or DVDs.  The computer with windows 8 is an authorized computer, so I don't understand why I'm having the problem.

Hello APVzW, we absolutely want the best path to resolution. My apologies for multiple attempts of replacing the device. We'd like to verify the order information and see if we can locate the tracking number. Please send a direct message with the order number so we can dive deeper. • Problem importing from JVC MG 155 (videcam with hard disk drive)

I had a problem importing video from my videocam Jvc MG 155.
I tried when there was only few record in the videocam and everything gone right.
Otried when there were 520 movies and over 4 hour of video (I went to holiday and made also underwater movies) and the program crach before importing the movies.
I can import the moviesw only via firewire but in this way i import in DV mode (so I have near 60 gigabytes occupied by that movies insted of the original size in the hdd of the camera of 18 giga).
    Someone have a solution?
If I import by firewire I reach the same quality (the camera record directly in mpeg 2 and via firewire I import in dv way)?
    Any idea?
Jvc don't support mac because they don't give you software compatible (the cd inside is win only).

    You are right.
But the first time I imported with imovie 08 (the time when there was only few movies on the camera and everything gone right and the program don't crash) i notice that the program imported the movies in compress format (mpeg2) and the size was the same of the videocamera (more or less ..but I'm sure it's not in DV format).
Maybe the prgram crash because of the hight number of the miniature it must generate to let me choose witch I want import.
Certantly Apple mus resolve this bug because the model of this videocamera is one of the fews they assure like compatible directly with imovie 08.

  • Problems importing pix into my 2.5 quad 8 gigs ram, Canon Rebel xt

I have the newest firmware available...I have imported before...only had problems with raw...now it seems that I am haveing problems importing anything. Aperture was better when it first came out but it seems that every update degrades my ability to import...I am now in the position of having to use my horrible PC to read my cameras card (that my mac isn't able to read...amizingly) and then trasfer the files to my mac via my network!
    Imagion my pain!!!!
    John II

Forget trying to modify the plist file, it is done automatically with OS upgrades. What is the extension name you get from the camera, for raw is should be .cr2. If you double-click the filename in finder it sould be vieweable in Preview. If not then Aperture won't view it either because raw's and camera updates are donw at the OS level. Your on 10.4.6 so i know your camera is supported.
If you can't view raw or jpg files in Preview, then the issue is further-upstream, perhaps at camera level, although if they appear on a pc then its perhaps something wrong in your OS.
Can you see the images in Preview ?

  • Problems migrating data via LSMW using the IDoc method

    Hello everybody,
I got a very strange problem migrating data via the LSMW. I tried to map legacy data using the IDoc mapping method. I'm using the message type 'CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M ' and the basic IDoc type 'CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M01'.
I can read the import data and convert it to IDoc structure as well as generate the IDoc. When I start processing the IDoc afterwards I get always the same error messages which I don't understand...
    The errors are:
    1) Error status 'A ' calling validation service (Status 51)
    2) Validation error occurred: Module CRM_BUPA_MAIN_VAL , BDoc type BUPA_MAIN (Status 51)
    3) Error_Time Dependency_Addresses CHECK_TABLE_MISSING (Status 51)
    4) Internal error when calling operation module BUA_CHECK_ADDRESS_VALIDITY_ALL : Check table missing (Status 51)
    5) Address moves ignored in the case of time-independent systems (Status 51)
    6) Partner data processed with key PartnerGUID 4BF67ADE9B9923BEE10000000A3500DB (Status 51)
    7) Partner (4BF67ADE9B9923BEE10000000A3500DB ): the following errors occurred (Status 51)
I tried to import the following data:
    external ID
    Name1
    Name2
    Address data
    Telephone data
    Fax data
    Website data
Can anybody tell me where those errors come from and how I can fix them. Would be great if somebody could help me!
    Thank you and best regards,
    Markus

so apparently my issue with this was setting the time zone in the Address to the time zone of the user doing the conversion. You can find the time zone in SU01.
Also you can create a BP in the WebUI then check t-code SMW01 and it will help you on passing the values to CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE

  • How to Import data via SQL Loader with characterset  UTF16 little endian?

    Hello,
I'm importing data from text file into one of my table which contains blob column.
I've specified following in my control file.
    -----Control file-------
    LOAD DATA
    CHARACTERSET UTF16
    BYTEORDER LITTLE
    INFILE './DataFiles/Data.txt'
    BADFILE './Logs/Data.bad'
    INTO TABLE temp_blob truncate
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY "     "
    TRAILING NULLCOLS
    (GROUP_BLOB,CODE)
    Problem:
SQL Loader always importing data via big endian. Is there any method available using which we can convert these data to little endian?
    Thanks

A new preference has been added to customize the import delimiter in main code line. This should be available as part of future release.

  • Problems Capturing Video via FireWire

I have had problems capturing video via firewire on my MacBook Pro. It is an early 2008 model. I have tried capturing video using multiple programs, cables and cameras. In both Final Cut Express and iMovie ('08 and '09) I loose the connection mysteriously. It just stops sensing my camera mid capture. I can shut the computer down, programs down and cameras down but nothing seems to work consistently in getting it to work. The weird part is that it does work some times. Recently I tried an auto capture of a whole miniDV tape through a sony handicam via iMovie '09. It got 20mins of the tape then stopped and rewound the tape. When trying it again it read "connection error". I could not get it to work. I put the computer to sleep and came back later. It worked but only captured about 10 minutes then shut down the whole camera and import completely. I switched to manual import and it will now only let me capture about 20 seconds at a time. What is going on? To me it seems like the port itself is malfunctioning and disconnecting the signal randomly. Has anyone else experienced this? What is the cause and what can I do about it?

I've been reading the forums and it seems that there is an issue with the Firewire port in general. I have an external firewire 800 HD and when copying large files or a large number of files the HD gets dismounted unexpectedly. Your case seems similar in that we are both transferring large files via Firewire. Anyone have any fixes for this?

  • Error on importing catalogue via MDIS

Hi! We have been processing our catalogue file via MDIS without problem. However, we started getting the below error and I do not know whether it is as a result of us running Import Manager and saving the import map with a few more value mappings.
Error: The import map is not complete:1. Missing the XML Root Element.2. There are multiple root elements defined in the xml schema.Solution: Please select the proper root element via the IM GUI then save the map.
Can I check what the system means by going to the IM GUI to save the map? Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards
    SF

Hi! The mapping file and source file are ok. If I use Import Manager to open the file, I can process the file. Note however we use the same mapping file for a few types of source files where the source node for one source file is mapped to hierarchy and source node of another source file is mapped to category. So, when we use the Import Manager, we will have to manually unmap one of the mapping dependent on the type of source file. However, it has not been a problem doing it via MDIS. I started having the import problem only after I have made some mapping value changes and am not sure whether the different node mapping is the cause of this error and if so, why out of the sudden when it used to work?
I have a mapping file in the old system which seems to work. However, it now complains that there is no mapping for price in my schema! Is there a way for me to easily check my mapping file against the schema?
    Appreciate any help on this.
    Thanks!

  • Problems importing connections from a SAN directory

Is anybody having a problem importing connections from a directory that's on a SAN?
My network is setup so that the Application Data directory is out on a SAN and when SQL Developer opens up the file dialog, current directory is listed as C:\ and entry in the file name field is file://<server>/<path to my stuff>/Application Data/SQL Developer/. This looks fine but when I click on the "Open" button to get the directory listing, an error dialog pops up with the following message:
The directory C:\file:\<server>\<path to my stuff>\Application Data\SQL Developer is not accessible. Please select a different directory.
When I change the current directory to the drive that maps the SAN location, I get the same message only with C: replaced with another drive letter.
If I had to guess, the dialog is not processing the file:// protocol indicator properly before it attempts to get the directory listing. Does anyone have a work around?

Other users also had problems with network shares, so you're right that might very well be the cause of your problems.
As workaround, try mapping the settings folder to a local drive. Add this to \sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf:
    AddVMOption -Dide.user.dir=C:\sqldeveloperHope that helps,
    K.

  • Problems importing videos recorded from my iPhone 3GS to iPhoto

I am having problems importing any videos recorded from my iPhone 3GS onto iPhoto. iPhoto keep giving me the following error:
"Error downloading Image. iPhoto cannot import your photos because there was a problem downloading an image."
If anyone else is having the same problem, please advise on how to fix.
    Thanks,

I am having the same problem...
and Image Capture ( didn't know we would normally be able to use it, but you can) also give an error
    "Import Error"
Now I have used "ITimelapse pro" to transfer some timelapse movies (about 3 that are about 30 to 60 seconds long) that I made to the phone's photo library.. and I has a very long video that I mistakenly made - (15 minutes long or so) and I "trimmed" it to be a few minutes long. -- and used "JotNot" to send a photo to the photo library... otherwise I have only some regular photos (about 40 ) and about 2 regular videos in the library.
so any suggestions... ( I am emailing all that I can to myself ... maybe ridding everything will help)
