Problem in a validation with a Badis.
Hi,
I have a BAdis that use this definition: FI_F110_SCHEDULE_JOB to make a validation in transaction F110. Ok, the validation is when the user click the button of the proposal and the system show the screen 1106 I need to put a message of alert if the user click the check box. But the thing is that later when the user continue the process the person need to press again a button named Pmnt Run that show the same screen (1106) and in this part I need to allow the user to click the check box. SO, I put the validation but has is the same screen I need to put the message of the error if the user click the check box in the first screen not in the second screen but the problem is that is the same screen. Some body can help me!

I have a Problem triggering a script with custom logic badi.
I try to implement a data and comment copy package for alle dimensions with source and target.
Target is pushed in one string to IT_PARAM table of type UJK_T_SCRIPT_LOGIC_HASHTABLE.
My Problem is now that the UJK_LARGE_STRING with 1024 characters is too small and many of the Dimension are cutted off.
Do you know a solution or a Workaround for this Problem ? Requirement ist only one prompt/selection Screen.

Snow Leopard Install problems on Macbook Pro with bad optical drive
I've tried this (refer to article below) to install Snow Leopard on a Macbook Pro with a bad optical drive, but I am not able to choose a wi-fi network, or install disk after startup. Is there something else I need to do?
To use Remote Install Mac OS X or Mac OS X Server:
Insert the Mac OS X or Mac OS X Server Install Disc into the optical disc drive of the other computer.
If the other computer is a Mac, open /Applications/Utilities/Remote Install Mac OS X. On Windows, choose "Remote Install Mac OS X" from the Install Assistant.
Read the introduction and click Continue.
Choose the install disc you want to use, and click Continue.
Choose a network connection: AirPort, if you are using an AirPort network, or Ethernet, if the other computer is on an Ethernet network and you have an optional Apple USB Ethernet Adapter connecting your MacBook Air or Mac mini to the same network. Click Continue.
Restart your MacBook Air or Mac mini and hold down the Option key as it starts up, until you see a list of available startup disks.
Click Continue in Remote Install Mac OS X.
If you chose AirPort as your network in step 5, on your MacBook Air or Mac mini choose your AirPort network from the pop-up list.
If the network is secure, you will be prompted for a password. You can enter a private network name by choosing the ellipsis (...) and typing the name.
If you chose AirPort as your network in step 5, when you see the AirPort status icon indicating signal strength, click Continue in Remote Install Mac OS X.
You can now reinstall software, reset your password or run Disk Utility using instructions from the User's Guide.Are you able to connect the two via Firewire cable? If so you can boot the MBP into Target Disk Mode. Then boot the other computer from the OS X installer disc. The installer should detect the hard drive of the MBP as an eligible target destination.
If you have a spare hard drive or at least 10 GBs of usable space on an external drive, then you can create a small 8 GB partition on that drive. Then clone the installer DVD to that partition using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can then boot the MBP from that partition using OPTION boot: Start the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager appears. Select the icon for the cloned DVD then click on the downward pointing arrow button.

1. Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
4.Check the box labeled Erase destination.
5. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
6. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to the Source entry field.
7. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external partition.
Source means the OS X Installer DVD.

Problems using FW-7344 with Fire Wire Video Cameras
Is it a bad idea to use the FW-7344 with other devices on the same fire wire bus?
We are trying to use an FW-7344 with a fire wire video camera but we tend to get packet errors that force a reset of the controller. We suspect that the problem is related with the camera and controller being on the same fire wire bus.
We instantly see problems when we connect two FW7344s and one video camera on the same fire wire card.The NIMax program reads Packet Error. I can't recall the first error that our program reads, but I think it typically says something about not being able to communicate return values from the controller to the host computer.
This makes me think that the NI driver on the host does not retry after failing to get return data from the controller. This assumption may be valid with the PCI version, but probably is not with the FireWire version.
It only takes one camera for this problem to happen, but the problem is intermittent. -
Have an issue regarding library books. My ereader is validated with Kobo account and Adobe Digital Editions account, but I get an error: 'this document is protected bij DRM and isn't available with your Adobe ID'.
same problem for me. I am using abe edition 3 as I don't think 4 can be used with kobo. Book has been downloaded to kobo but it can't be read as it is not authorised.Help please

Kernel panic / Internet access with a bad AirPort card
My iBook G4 started suffering kernel panics just over a week ago. They have rapidly increased in frequency to the extent that it can take several attempts to boot up because they have started occurring during the boot up process (originally they occurred after the iBook had been on for a while).
I've looked through the forum and have seen that there seem to be some common causes -RAM, AirPort card, or something to do with the HD. I ran disk utility on the HD and it didn't find any problems and I also successfully ran the 'repair disk permissions'. I have tried taking out the RAM -that didn't do anything. The kernel panic does frequently occur when I am either using Mail or Safari, but as I've said, it also occurs when I'm booting up -does the fact that it happens when I boot up mean that it cannot be the AirPort card (which incidentally is not under the keyboard -so it must be inside)?
Earlier today I switched off AirPort and was able to work on the computer for almost three hours without any kernel panic (but also without internet access). Less than a minute after switching it back on, it froze again.
If this does mean that the problem is with the AirPort card, I have a question about internet access. I use the iBook on a wireless network that stems from a modem with a Mac downstairs and I do not have any internet cables, or a phone line, in the room where the iBook is used. Is it possible to use something like AirPort Express even with a bad AirPort card? And does AirPort Express connect to the iBook, or to the main modem downstairs?

An acquaintance who works for Apple suggested that before assuming that the problem was the AirPort card / buying further equipment, I should boot up with the original installation disk in and use the disk utility function to 'repair disk'. I did that and got a 'Volume Header needs minor repair' message. It repaired that & I restarted the iBook. I was able to do an update back-up to my external hard drive & all was fine until I switched AirPort back on -there was an instant kernel panic.
I figured that it couldn't hurt to run the Apple Hardware Test -did that and restarted again. Was able to open Mail (AirPort was on) but then the AirPort connection disappeared and the pointer froze, but there was no kernel panic screen. I had to force quit -restarted again. This time I was able to use Mail, downloaded a song on iTunes, and was on the internet for about 45mins before the connection disappeared and the pointer froze again. I could force quit the app but with a frozen pointer I ended up having to force quit again.
I waited a while and then booted up again (without problem) but this time I was told that there was no Airport card present! Shut down and reran the Hardware Test (which said that AirPort 'Passed'). When I restarted AirPort was briefly there but disappeared when I opened AirPort Utility and at this point the pointer also froze. I did force quit to get out of the app and then there was a kernel panic. Is this now pretty conclusive that the AirPort card is the problem?
I would appreciate any feedback -I've had a very frustrating week with this.

Problem in establishing connection with mysql 5.0

I am using JCAPS 5.1. I tried to insert data to mysql database table.
But i got following error
java.sql.SQLException: Error in allocating a connection. Cause:
Physical Connection doesn't exist.
My intention is to read file in which data are comma seperated and to
populate those values to a mysql 5.0 database table.
Sample DATA in file [test.txt]

While creating JDBC OTD there is no problem in establishing connection with database. But after deploying i got above error.
I have used Mysql 5.0 Connector/J JDBC driver. Added JDBC driver jar files to following directories as required.
1) C:\JavaCAPS51\logicalhost\is\lib
2)C:\JavaCAPS51\logicalhost\is\domains\test\lib
Steps i have followed as per JDBC-ODBC -eway user guide doc.
1) Created USerDefined OTD and added necessary fields
2) Created JDBC OTD.
3) Created JAVA collaboration and do business process for inserting
4) Mapped all components by creating in Connectivity MAp
5) created necessary external systems in envrionment explorer.[JDBC External System and File External System]
6)Created Deployment profile
5) Deployed it.
After deploying it gives error as
java.sql.SQLException: Error in allocating a connection. Cause: Physical Connection doesn't exist
Please let me know the solution for problem.

Valid URL would be : jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/caps

Validation \ User-exit \ BADI \ BTE for F-43 for missing exchange rate

I maintain the exchange rate on a daily basis in TCURR exchange rate table.
But, let's say that, by accident, in one day I fail to input the exchange rate.
In this case, when I input a invoice in F-43, I'd like for the system to issue a warning (blocking) message saying that there is no exchange rate for that specific posting (translation) date.
I tryed to create a validation for F-43. But the conditions available in validation are just too simple and I couldn't achieve my goal.
However, I saw I can attach an user exit to the validation or an user exit directly in F-43.
I found in SMOD the following user-exits for F-43 (in package FBAS), but I don't know how to use them:

I succeded creating the validation with an user-exit. I made the following steps:
1) I created the validation in GGB0 (for document header), issuing a standard message (420 "Exchange rate not found") from message class (ZRSAU) - which is a copy of RSAU message class (in the beggining I put no pre-requisites, checks or rules, just the message).
2) In OB28 I attached the validation (with call point document header) and I made it active (without batch input).
3) I copied the RGGBR000 program (which is standard program with an example of validation) into ZRGGBR00 (it should be maximum 8 characters).
Then I changed the ZRGGBR00 program (form U100) comparing the translation date (from BKPF) with the date from table TCURR (and exchange rate type M, and documents currency other than local currency).
If the program doesn't find any exchange rate in TCURR in that date, it issues the error message (assigned in GGB0).
4) In GGB0, I put the U100 user exit as a check and rule
5) In GCX2, I attached the ZRGGBR00 program to the GBLR application area (which is for user exits for validations / rules).
Now it's working fine! -
I have a problem when update tables with a database link (APEX)
Hi, I search answers for my problem and I not found a solution. My problem start when I open page with database link statement in APEX. I drop tables and execute this for update the tables in APEX.

What is the solution for my problem? I need update this tables.

I sometimes get an error. Sometimes it works fine, but half of the tries Apex returns "IBMPC/WIN_NT-8.1.0" in the browser and I am not using an IBM PC or Win NT...
And i read that In the alert_xe.log file there are a error of core dump... ... :S or that the application return corrupt headers.... Is a problem of versions?

XML validation with JDOM / JAXP

I am trying to validate xml file against schema file. I decided to use JDOM and JAXP.
First question: is it a good choice?
I did a first attempt but not sure I have understood all what I am doing :(
First I have create a parser usinf org.jdom.*

I saw in the JDOM documentation that I can set a validation flag to true. I did it. First problem, I got the following error from JDOMException: Document is invalid: no grammar found.
Is there a way to specify to the parser where to find the xsd file?
As I did not find answer to this question by myself, I tried implementing the Schema class from JAXP:

Problem converting XPS document with large images
Hi,
When I try to convert XPS documents to PDF in Acrobat 9.0 Pro, I have problems with "large images". They are either truncated or scaled down. The only images that convert correctly are small images that are not stretched to fill a large area. Attached to this message is a simple example. Does anyone know a way to correct this problem? By the way, the page is slightly larger than the standard Letter size.

Our company used the method "Postscript + PDF" during a few months and it worked quite well. Recently, we introduced semi-transparent objects and fonts in our documents and the resulting PS prints look really bad. Since I can create a perfect XPS document, and since Acrobat can convert it to PDF, I gave it a try. It solved all the problems that I had with PS printing but there is that thing with images... Anyway, since Acrobat converts XPS to PDF, I guess they should try to solve the bug with the images. As for me, I will see if I can get a component to create PDF documents directly from our application.

Qsort problems on Solaris 10 with Forte 6.0u2

I know the Forte version is a bit behind - but I'm stuck with it.
I'm trying to port some software we have working on Solaris 2.6 thru Solaris 9 over to Solaris 10, but am having some trouble linking my executable due to the extern "C++" declaration of qsort in /usr/include/iso/stdlib_iso.h.
The problem is easily visible with a simple test program.

Yes it's non-functional, but it's sufficient for displaying my problem.
If I compile with the C compiler (cc) it compiles clean - however when I compile with the C++ compiler (CC).....

Now it's obvious to me that the problem is due to the fact that under the C++ compiler qsort is now (under Solaris 10) getting declared as extern "C++", but I'm not sure how I can resolve this. I know that qsort is implemented in libc, but this obviously isn't sufficient due to the shift of namespace. Yes, I need to use the C++ compiler as my code is C++, only my test code is valid C.
Can anybody lend some assistance? Is there just another lib I need to link to? I'm expecting this to be something basic that I'll be embarrassed about when it's pointed out. But for now I'm stumped. Running nm across all my libs yielded no implementation apart from in libc.so.

TonyStandard C++ defines two versions of qsort (and also bsearch): one that takes a pointer to a C function, and one that takes a pointer to a C++ function.
Recall that in standard C++, a pointer to a C function has a different type than a pointer to a C++ function. This issue is discussed at length in the C++ Migration Guide that comes with the compiler.
The version of qsort that takes a pointer to a C function is the C version of qsort, and is in libc.so (the basic Solaris runtime library that all programs use).
The version of qsort that takes a pointer to a C++ function is in the C++ runtime library libCrun.so that all C++ programs use.
But because it took a while for Solaris headers to be updated to the C++ requirement, early versions of libCrun did not have the C++ version of qsort (or bsearch). If you get the latest C++ runtime library patch (SUNWlibC) for your system, your program should link. You can get patches here:

Not only the system where you build the program needs updating, but every system that runs the program you build.
Alternatively, you can declare the comparison function extern "C" so that the C version of qsort will be used.

I am in the chapter teaching about form validation with the Zend Framework. I have done the entire lesson with the lesson files and everything works perfectly...
but I went back to use the form valdation techniques for my own site and it is not working properly. In the book, Chapter 6 teaches how to create a user login and editing the database through the site. But in chapter seven the form validation does not build on top of this and therefore does not teach how to integrate the form validation with the registered user already set up.
I have user registration completly working on my site and everything runs fine. I am trying to add the form validation but it is all completly ignored. When I leave a field blank it simply takes me to another blank page that reads "Column 'first_name' cannot be null"

I replaced some code here to protect myself, but the library.php file is completely functional and has been tested... I am sure the problem ins't in here.

but I went back to use the form valdation techniques for my own site and it is not working properly. In the book, Chapter 6 teaches how to create a user login and editing the database through the site. But in chapter seven the form validation does not build on top of this and therefore does not teach how to integrate the form validation with the registered user already set up.
I have user registration completly working on my site and everything runs fine. I am trying to add the form validation but it is all completly ignored. When I leave a field blank it simply takes me to another blank page that reads "Column 'first_name' cannot be null"

Put a default value in an infotype with a BADI ?
We want to put a default value in the administrators fields of the infotype 0001 (depending on the company code) when the user create/change it.
A standard feature exist but onluy for the administrator group.
Because we want to follow the technological evolution of SAP, we try to use a badi instead of a user-exit.
So, we found this badi definition: HRPAD00INFTY (method BEFORE_OUTPUT).
Problem: all the parameters (including the infotype value) are IMPORT parameters.
So we can't modify the infotype content...
Do anyone know how to modify the content of an infotype with a BADI ?
Or do we must continue to use user-exit in such cases ?If one was just learning about userexits, BAdIs and the new Enhancement Framework as well as infotype PBO and PAI, this can be a bit of a mountain to climb, but these two documents might be useful.

Validating with multiple schemas
I am setting the schama attribute as follow:

builderFactory.setAttribute(JAXP_SCHEMA_SOURCE, new File(schemaSource));searchRequest.xsd contains include statement: it referes to another schema. When i try to validate the xml document using the scheam above error is thrown stating that the elements that are defined in the second schema(BookingProfile.xsd) are not recognised or can't be resolved.
Is there a way to set multiple schemas?

In the xml document that you need to refer to:
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2000/10/XMLSchema-instance that is the namespace
supported by xerces 1.3.1.
