Problem in accessing KM from portal development

Hi all,
I want to access CM repository stored in KM of portal.
for that i have followed following steps.

but i am facing the problem that how to access repository because it is not given in the above link.
Does anybody knows any other way or go through this link and tell me how to proceed further.

1. for this u will also require help of basis team.
2. these are the steps.
a) make an entry in DBCON
b) make connection string
(on the physical application server,
so that it can connect to secondary database)
(this will be done by basis team,
in which, they will specify the
IP address of the secondary database server,
the DATABASE ID, and the port number)
c) then using open sql / native sql,
we can use the secondary database connection,
just like normal.
d) if we use open sql,
then there must be Y/Z table on
sap as well as secondary database,
and the field names , their type all should be identical.

Problem accessing application from portal

I am trying to access an application running on iAS 6 SP2 from iPS 3.0 SP4. App server and the portal server are running on two diff Solaris machines.I am using URL Scrapper. In the application I am trying to get the portal session :

Cannot access applications from my developer account

I created a classic api app and i am unable to access the applications page. It keeps throwing an rerror. Thank you, Baforer. Between your solution and another person having the same problem, I was able to solve mine, an error message saying "Sender address is invalid" when I know my email address WAS correct.
For anyone else with this problem, I'm using comcast.net in the Northern Virginia area, I went into "Preferences" under the Mail menu (on my Mac), and clicked on "Accounts", Outgoing Mail (bottom of the page), hit button called "Server Settings" and see what port is displayed. In my case, like Baforer, it was 25. So exit out of Mail on your computer and go into Settings on your iPod Touch, Mail etc and go deep to Outgoing mail server, my case "smtp.comcast.net", enter, in next window, all the way at the bottom it says "Server Port"; click on that, a keypad will come up, erase whatever is displayed and enter 25 (or whatever was on your mail acct on your computer - previous step above) and you're finished. You'll here the familiar "whoosh" as those emails in your Outbox get sent on their way.

Problem in Accessing Response from ASP using HTTPS

I am developing an Application in which in the server side i am using the ASP with HTTPS usage.I am getting the fallowing Exception
javax.microedition.pki.CertificateException: Certificate was issued by an unrecognized entity
When i am working with Tomcat i faced the same problem but with the help of MEKeyTool i am able to register the keystore.But can anybody please tell me the way i can register the certificate That was generated by the IIS 6.0 with the MEKeytool.
Please tell me the way to do that.

hi all,
I have added the certificate into the keystore and now also i am getting the same Exception.
The modification i did was Exported the certificate to Base-64 Encoded format and the certificate was stored and the location was specified in the fallowing command
keytool -import -alias my -file "C:\Documents and Settings\lakshmana\your.cer"
the certificate was imported into the keystore and and it was displayed the content and asked for the confirmation once we given yes it was added into the keystore.
Then after the keytool -list it was the number of certificates will be displayed.
Even then after importing the certificate i am getting the same Exception in the MIDlet.
can anybody please tell me the way resolve that

Hi All,
I want to use "IWDPDFObject" api for creating pdfs dynamically, this has to be used in a EJB module project which is converted in webservice. In the EJBModule project i have added the reference locally in the build path but how do I give the runtime reference?.
In the "application-j2ee-engine.xml" of the Enterprise application project i have added the reference of "tc/wd/webdynpro" which has that "_webdynpro_pdfobject.jar". Still it doesn't work.
Is there any limitation on accessing webdynpro jar from EJB(webservice)?.

DMS access through a Portal

Hi,
I have created a portal through which I want to access the DMS functionalities like Create, chang, display document, create receipent list, document distribution, SAP Inbox, etc. The portal is working fine but the only limitation is that, prior to access DMS from portal, I may need to install SAP GUI on that PC.
Expectation is, I need to integrate DMS system directly from Portal without SAP GUI.
Please suggest the solution..

Could not able to access workbook from the favorites of User Menu

Hi all,
I have got a problem in accessing Workbook from the User menu (SAP GUI) Favorites.
I added a workbook to my favorites but now when i double click on the Workbook from my USER MENU (SAP GUI),
BEX is opening and the connection is also maintained but the workbook is not appearing in the BEX.
I checked in SU53 and this is not related to any authorization issues.
Could anyone help me in solving this issue and
providing ?

I can't aunderstand why it happens, but try adding the workbook to a role and assign the role to your user.

That's true.
Enterprise Portal applications are developed from Portal Development Kit (PDK). There are Java and .NET versions of Enterprise Portal applications. Java-based Portal application involves HTMLB, JSP, and DynPage (JspDynPage), which is not purely J2EE.
A J2EE application involves the Web (JSP, Servlets) and Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB).

We are getting following error in Mozilla Firefox 37.0.1 & 37.0.2 versions, when we tried to access HR PIA or CS PIA, But we are able to get the PORTAL PIA login and able to log in to Portal PIA and If we access CS or HR pages from Portal we are getting the same error below, It was working fine with until Mozilla Firefox 36.0.4 version.

My first guess would be because Firefox disabled insecure TLS fallback in 37.
We have disabled insecure TLS version fallback. If a secure site isn’t working, you can try setting the “security.tls.version.fallback-limit” preference in about:config to 1 and see if it works then.
Weblogic out of the box does not use the newest protocols and is version intolerant. I would need detailed config info to say for sure why PORTAL might still be working. Are they running different Java versions for Weblogic? Is there a mix of Certicom and JSSE being used for SSL? Check out this analysis for more details.

Getting problem to open Web Transaction from Portal

User is trying to open one link from portal, which is SAP transaction iView.
This calls one custom transaction from SAP R/3.
This transaction is Easy Web Transaction and GUI support for it, is SAPGUI FOR HTML.
Now the problem is, user is not able to open this link from portal. I can open this same link in my login. But this particular user can't.
Whenever he tries to open this link, gets error message, 'Transaction ZXXXX can not be called in the Easy Access Menu; see long text' and instead of opening the transaction in browser, it opens SAP R/3 GUI.
I have checked the portal content and found no error.
Also asked user to login in my system, but got the same error.
This user is able to access same link from Quality portal, but not from Production portal.,
eventhough the data in both portals is same.
What can be the error?

You need to enable SharePoint class in IE. Please follow this

Once, this is done you can Enable all the IE settings to load for Intranet and Trusted zone settings
Put your site in compatibility mode and trusted zone
Also, make sure that 2 versions of Office suite is not installed on the system. Eg. Lync 2013 and Office 2010 on one single machine
What happen when you by pass your TMG server. To do this we need to make host entry for URL directed to APP server IP Address.

Problem in downlaod the certificate from portal

I am new to iphone Please help me it's very urgent.
I have create a new developer certificate and download it
it works fine after that i have applied for distribution.
when I have download this certificate but this certificate is invalid.
I have revoked this certificate from portal and development also.
when I have created the developer certificate again.
downloaded it it is giving that it is not valid.
when i have revoked the certificate from portal then in team section it is showing that it is revoked.but in certificate section it is showing issued
and when i click on download or revoke it gives an error
failed to download or revoked

I'm having the same problem... A google search turned up another thread about it, but it appears too late to call anyone today, as support goes home at 5PM PST on Friday and doesn't come back until Monday.
