Problem in accessing tabs in ESS

Hi,
The user is able to log into portal and able to see all the tabs in ESS, but when trying to access any of the drop-down tabs it says,
'"Critical Error-
A critical error has occured. Processing of the service had to be terminated. Unsaved data has been lost.
Please contact your system administrator. User RCOOOKE does not exist ion this period'."
how to resolve this. its urgent.

1. Does this error pop to a particular user or all users?
2. Does it happen to all the tabs under ESS?
For some of the functions like details related to remuneration statements etc, the payroll has to be run for the period in which you are checking the employee.
EX : Let us suppose you have hired the employee in the month of April 2007 and this is December 2007, if you are getting such an error.
Go to PC00_M10_CLSTR ( Where 10 is the Molga for your specific country, example here it is US) and check if the payroll has been run till the month of December.
Under this transaction code, as soon as you enter the transaction code, it will ask you to enter the PERNR ( personnel number), once you key in the pernr, on the left hand side, if your pernr is active, it will be displayed in a GREEN color and on the right it will display till which period the payroll has been run.
In the current case, it should have been run till the month of November.
If the payroll is not run till this month.
Go to PC00_m10_CALC ( Where 10 is the Molga for your specific country, example here it is US ) and specifying your payroll area, run the payroll for the corresponding months.

Links on tab in ESS of MSS

Hi
When an employee logs in as manager in MSS, he should get access to ESS as well. I am facing a problem here. The manager can access ESS but the links which should appear in the tab do not appear inthis scenario. On the other hand if an employee logs in as ESS, he can see those links in the tab. By links in the tab i mean links like personal information which are present on the home page as well as a link is maintained for them in the tab.
Please help me in this.

In my case, when the manager logs in as MSS, he should get access to both ESS as well as MSS. This is based on simple reason that manager is also an employee. Now the problem is the ESS screen which the manager views does not have any of the links in the tab as compared to what an employee can view when he logs in as an employee in ESS.
The roles are as you have specified. but i am unble to get the links in the tab for the manager's log in to ESS.
I hope i am being able to expalin my problem properly.

I'd like Command-1, or 2-3-4 respectively, to access Tabs, instead of Bookmarks on Bookmark Bar.
That's how it works on Firefox 3.5.3 but Safari 4.3.4. Thus, on Firefox, Command-1 switches to the Left Most Tab, when Multiple Tabs are open. But on Safari, Command-1 switches the Tab's Conten to the Left Most Bookmark on Bookmark Bar, which undermines the concept of Multiple Tabs, I think!
The whole idea for Tabs is to have several sites open at the same time in different Tabs, and be able to Toggle them! It's much easier to Toggle between Command-1 and Command-2, rather than to use the mouse! That's why Pro-Users use Keyboard Shortcuts, which they have memorized.
Do you agree that Safai should gives a choice to Configure Command-1, or 2-3-4 respectively, to behave as they do now - accessing Bookmarks, or the way it works in FireFox, accessing Tabs?

Apple did respond to that, although it wasn't a feature request, but a Freeze Problem
Carolyn responded to that and as far as I know, she is not on this site as an official representative of Apple, but purely, in her spare time, as a user who gives a lot of her valuable time and experience to other users, as do others.
BTW, do you agree with my Request? If so, please state that! If enough people ask for this, maybe Apple will do something? And anyone can include a link to this Thread in the Bug Report, so to connect the dots:)!

Access Tab not showing for item level security

I have enabled item level security for the portal page I am working on, but the access tab for the items is not showing.
I have come accross exactly the same problem on this forum and the advice was:
Hi try the following :
go to page properties
set the item level security
clear the cache
clear your browser cache
it should work "
I have tried all that, closed and opened a browser but the access tab is still not showing. This is a 10.1.4 portal on LINUX. Starnge enough I have a testing environment installed on my Windows XP (AS 10.2.0.2 not upgarded to 10.1.4) and I don't have any issues with item security access tab at all.
I would appreciate any clues.

There should be two icons shown for each item when you put the page in Edit mode - Edit and Actions. Click on the Actions icon and "Access" should be one of the links in the list of actions (like hide, expire, delete, move, etc.)

Problem with switching tabs in top level navigation for Roles

Hi,
I've created two tabs (based on two roles) in the portal top level navigation menu. When clicking the first one it opens as it should. Then when clicking on the second tab it will not open, instead the first tab open up again, it sort of switches back automatically.These two roles are basically consists of worksets and iviews(accessing to r/3).
Does anyone have any expericene with this type of problem?

SQL Developer 4.0.0.13.80 only Access tab is visible in Connections

I have installed this release carefully using the instructions provided, migrated my 4.0.0.12.84 setting, and it seems to work correctly. However, when I go to add a Connection, only the Access tab is visible. My existing connections which extensively use tnsnames.ora all work as expected but I cannot add or modify an existing Oracle DB connection (or anything other than Access). I removed and repeated the install with the same results. I have then completely removed the existing install, removed the settings folder in my roaming folder, uninstalled/reinstalled JDK 1.7.0_51, reinstalled 4.0.0.13.80 and NOT migrated settings to get to a virgin install; unfortunately, the same situation exists (even after mapping the tnsnames.ora file in the Database>Advanced setting location. This is the eleventh release I have installed/used without this error, so I am looking for guidance in removing this roadblock from the community...any suggestions?

We r on SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 SPS09 and we have installed Business Package for Employee Self-Service 4.6C - 4.7 in Portal and connected Portal to the R/3 Backend System with ITS version 6.20 patch 22.When accessing iviews of ESS in Portal there occur various tabs like Menu,help,Home on every page but when we click on them nothing happens and no pop up window occurs and it moves out of that window saying thankyou for working with Internet transaction Server.Iam not getting the cause of this error?can someone plz suggest?My Email Id is [email protected] .

Not able to search for FF IDs on clicking Super user access tab in request

Hi experts
in GRC AC 5.3 CUP , Im trying to create new request with Superuser Access request type . On selecting the request type , I get the superuser access tab enabled in the request , Now when I click on that , I am not able to search any Firefighter Ids which are present in the backend SAP system .
However when I try the same in anohter CUP box in the landscape , it worked .I could see all the FF Ids in that system
What configuration do I miss in the first box which is not allowing me to view the Ids on search .

the remote location. CF runs as a local user, so would not
normally

Problem in accessing: Parentnode 0..n-- childnode 0..1-- subchild node0..1

I have a problem in accessing the node3a's current element. Following is the context structure (which I am getting from backend BAPI).
Node1 is the parent node, it has 3 child nodes, and further Node2c has 3 child node. I need to access current elements of node 3a and display them in a form.

I have written the following code to access but its giving no output, i tried priniting size and i am getting the size as 1 that means there is data.

if atleast i get this one element "Meins", i can put a loop and access all other elemets, but no luck.
i also tried:

I want to know one thing while on loading( or execution of service ) are you sure that values are coming in all node.
if cardinality is 0-n means it can have 0 or n numbers of elements in it. and even if there is one single element is there then you can access it otherwise it will throw null pointer exception. if there is some value in 3b then you can access it by.
wdContext.nodeNode1().nodeNode2c().nodeNode3b().getCurrentElement().getAttributeAsText("Attribute1");
Check it and let us know if any issue persist.

Problem with Access Policies (create multiple resources)

I'm having a problem with Access Policies:
The first policy must create a resource.
And the following policies should create childs on the resource.
The problem here is that when policies will add the childs, the resource is not provisioned yet.
And then each one will create a resource but i just want one resource with the childs.
When the resource is already provisioned, the policies update this resource properly.
How can I fix this?

I had a similar problem. In a post-process handler I was managing the user membership in specific roles through the removeMemberUser and the addMemberUser of the tcGroupOperationsIntf class.
The last parameter of this method was a boolean which, when true, would automatically trigger the access policies programmatically in the post-process.
The problem is that there also is an OOTB event handler for triggering access policies, so I was basically triggering the access policies twice and duplicated resources were appearing.

Problem with access to SMTP, IMAP, POP3 protocols in CAS 2013.

Hi,
we have problem with access thgrough SMTP, IMAP, POP3 protocols in CAS 2013.
If I test connection to SMTP 25 port from other computer, session end quickly.
Test from CAS2013 to localhost or public IP is OK (similar also for IMAP and POP3).
Receive connectors are with defaults settings, firewall is disabled.
Service Microsoft Frontend Transport Services restarted, but no success.
Certificate is assigned to IMAP, POP3, SMTP, IIS.
IIS and HTTP(s), protocols are OK. Clients can connects only thgrough web, mobile (ActiveSync), or with Outlook with proxy.
Do you have some tip, what to test?
If I create new testing receive connector on port 26 for anonymous, behaviour is same, quick disconnecting.
