I create an enhancement spot using se18 in development server ,after save when I am going to activate it
system is giving a message ' This action is not supported in system DEV'.
what to do?

Hi All,
We are implementing enhancement spot as per certain requirement. Everything is fine in the deveopment system. But once we move the object to quality system the program execution is not going into the implementation, although Enhancement spot implemention is available in Quality.
Currently we are going into Quality system and activating Enhancement spot manually, even thoug this solves the problem we are worried about the production system. Because we wont be having access to production system.
Has anyone faced these kind of scenarios?

Problem with Enhancement Spot

I have implemented an enhancement spot in standard report program and export the data to some memory id. But the problem is when i am trying to execute the standard report the internal table which i want to export has entries. When i execute the custom program the tables does not has data. What is the problem and how can i solve that.

Active enhancement - Table BSPWDV_EHSET_ASG - Problem

Hi, i have a problem about active more than one enhancement using the table BSPWDV_EHSET_ASG.
I have two enhancement ZCRM_BP_DATA and ZCRM_BP_HEAD, how can i add these enhancement on the table BSPWDV_EHSET_ASG in the same client to active the enhancement's?

Yes, BAdI is the only way to use multiple enhancement sets. There is no requirement for a 2nd enhancement set as a enhancement set is a grouping of all enhancements. And SAP thought one should do.
You can club all the enhancements you have in different components into one set. If you created a second enhancemnet set and put in enhancements in it, you may have to revert the enhancements from the second set and redo them into 1st set. Ideally and for all practical reasons we need just one enhancement set.

Enhancement spot creation error

Hi all,
i tried to create an enhancement spot , in that i troed to give an interface name .
i am getting an error :
Interface IF_XXXX_ BADI does not include interface IF_BADI_INTERFACE.
can anyone let me know what the problem is if possible with some example .

Hi Roby,
Once the interface for an enhancement spot is created you have to delete it completely as some part of it would still exist if you just delete it from se24 or se18.
the classes which actually implements the interface or enhancement spot / implementations at times are left and thats why when you create it again it will not ask you for Package assignment if you will observe.
So i will suggest to try checking the Spot components from se80 transaction and delete it completely. Also check if the entry still exists in tadir table which i am sure will be there even after you delete as i also encountered the same issue once.
Thats why i suggested you to create it with a new name for E-spot and interface too and check otherwise may be change the tadir entry as well.

Enhancment spot

hello!
we upgraded the system from 46C to ECC6. I have some problem with one of the print program which isn't sap standard. in one of the includes FM06PTOP some of the fields are missing.
I created an include ZFM06PTOP, but when i activated it, it created enhancement spot FM06PTOP_01.
I have no idea about how to create and use the enhancement spots.
how can i change the standard include without creating Z include, using the enhancement spot.
Is there any tutorial about it?

Hi Yifat,
I cannot give you a confident answer since I am not using ECC 6.0, but to help you out, - Enhacement spots consists of some exits (Function, Menu, Screen). In the exit, say Function Exit, you will find an INCLUDE <program_name>. Just double click that, go to the change mode and you can write your code in the INCLUDE program. After that activate it.
Till ECC 5.0 there were some predefined Enhancement spots, I mean there were no provision to create them. But since you are telling the Enhancement spot FM06PTOP_01 got created, try giving this name in SMOD transaction and click display. If it shows some Function Exit(s), follow the above procedure and I think your job will be done.

Enhancement spot PT_ABS_REQ - BADi not being called

Hi,
I wondered if anyone can help. I need to change colours in the team calendar viewable in MSS.
In SPRO under Personnel Management>employee self service>service specific settings>working time>team calendar>BADi.controlprocessing of leave requests - I have created a BADi that I have called "ZPT_ABS_REQ".
In SE18 under the enhancement spot ZPT_ABS_REQ - (enhancement implementation tab) I can see my BADI and if i double click on the enhancement implementation I get taken to the enhancement implementation ZPT_ABS_REQ and it lists the BADI implementation as being ZBADI_PT_ABS_REQ.
So in SE24 editting ZBADI_PT_ABS_REQ, I have some code to the method IF_EX_PT_ABS_REQ~TEAM_CALE_ENRICHMENT - the code is very simple and just inserts a record into a test table (I can run the badi separately and a record gets created). I also copied/pasted the code in this method from the standard BADi (CL_PT_ARQ_REQ also listed in the enhancement implementation tab) just to see what happens.
What i had hoped is that when in MSS I view/process the Team Calendar I would get a record in my table but I dont. Ultimately I want to change legends in one of the other methods but this is for later once i can be sure the BADi is being executed.
Everything is active. Any ideas anyone? I would also welcome ideas on how this can be debugged to see if the BAdi is actually being called (which clearly it is not!) - incidently i'm not an java/mss developer.

I have implemented this BADI & can see my implementation active in IMG.
But when executing leave request from ESS i am getting error saying An exception occurred that was not caught., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE.
Can anybody tell how to solve this?
Also how to set calendor color & legend color?

Documentation for Enhancement spots

Hi experts!
I need some advice to my simple problem.
I checked one of our custom Z* function modules with 'Where Used' icon, and it shows that it's used in two different enhancement implementations. Those are:
LMRMPU05 633 ENHANCEMENT-POINT mrm_invoice_park_05 SPOTS es_saplmrmp.
LMRMPU01 1108 ENHANCEMENT-POINT mrm_invoice_post_10 SPOTS es_saplmrmp.
My question is - where I can find documentation regarding those two enhancement spots? I need to be able to determine when exactly this code is being executed during work with MIRO transaction.
Hopefuly there is a simple answer for this. Help will be highly appreciated.

Hi Artur,
Go to transaction SE18.
Put the Enhancement Spot name and click on display.
Go to the code and put a external breakpoint to it. And run MIRO transaction.

I have to put some validation for the assigned employee and the position under which the employee is beeing assigned.
Is there any badi or Enhancement spot that can resolve my problem.
the validation will be done as soon as we select the employee that will be assigned to the position and press the ENTER.
It is done before SAVE.

   Thanks for your reply. While saving exit 12 or exit 13 will be triggered ONLY when we make changes in standard PO item TABS.
    Let's say standard PO has 10 TABS at ITEM level. We are adding one more custom TAB there adding to that our client interest is not to include this TAB fields in EKPO structure. Hence we have to create the TAB by using screen exit option and we successfully created the TAB.
     Now take a case that we oopen ME22N with a PO no..then user did not make any changes in all the 10 standard TABS but make changes in only custom TAB...in that case exit 12 or exit 13 will not get triggered....Because they will be triggered only when you make changes to the fields which will be in EKKO or EKPO....as we are not supposed to extend EKPO ....those two exits will not be handy for us.......
     We even tried in existing BADI's ....but no BADI or exit will be getting triggering when we do not make any changes which effect EKKO and EKPO structure....
      Please let us know . if you have any idea to counter this unique problem.
       We also request you to please let us know ,if you ahve any idea, about implementing the this particular enhancement spot. Usually we can do it by SE19. But this particular spot is not allowing us to create one......

Badi created throught Enhancement Spot,but it is not registered in SXS_ATTR

Can anyone please tell me regarding why, When BADI created through Enhancement Spot, it is not registration in the SXS_ATTR table.
During creation of BADI, Through BADI Definition, the interface and Class is generated by the system itself. Where when I create Badi , by Enhancement Spot I need to enter manually both the interface and Class name.
BADI Definition: Z_CUSTOM_BADI
Implementation name : Z_CUSTOM_BADI_1
I hv given a class name as: ZCL_IM_CUSTOM_BADI_1
But during the debugging, it showing the class name as: ZCL_IM_CUSTOM_BADI

I think the request is good for deleting the enhancement, the problem could be if there are other objects there, but if the only object is the enhancement I think It should be ok
@Max, inside the task when i double clicked the enhancement, its throwing an error the cant be read.

Valuation price with user exit/BADI/Enhancement Spot (In valuation variant)

Hi all,
i am facing problem finding enhancement when creation of sales order of Valuation price with user exit/BADI/Enhancement Spot (In valuation variant)
For refferenece:
When going to t.code VA03, select one item and go to extras in the menu bar and select costing then you find some amounts calculation i.e valuation price automatically.
So when creation of sales order i am giving material and that material price automatically takes from material master and creating sales order.
My customer requirement is to get the valuation price of the input material from Z-table during the sales order cost estimate.
This Z-table contains the material code, plant , grade of the material.
Ex:
Material         Plant   Grade Price
A                1000    XYZ     25000
A                1000    PQR     35000
A                1000    BCD     45000
Suppose it depends on sales document type and which grade price i have to take.
So first of all i am unable to find enhancement where to change this code to get change the valuation price.
Does anybody have any idea , is there any user exit/BADI/enhancement for this.
So please help me in this issue.

i have a doubt regarding the Enhancement Spot and Enhancement Point. I have a little idea about this and want to know in detail. please if anyone have any good sites or material please let me know so that i can have a look on that.
Currently i am trying to copy the standard transaction COGI into the ZCOGI transaction with SAP 6.0. and there exists some enhancement points and enhancement spot which are not getting copied into my ZCOGI transaction. What is the reason behind it? Does it affect the original functionality which is there in the standard transaction?Because i want to retain all the satndard fuctionality. I donot have anything to do in the ENHANCEMENT ...... ENDENHANCEMENT.i have to do some additional data fetching based on the additional selection criteria to be added on the selection screen and based on that i want to show some additional fields in the ALV output.

If you want to make any changes in the TCODE , copy the program related to COGI and make changes in it.

Enhancement spot in MV45AFZZ.

Hii All,
I got a problem when i am writing enhancement spot in MV45AFZZ.
I have added some new fields in 8459 sub-screen at item level in VA01 transaction
some of those fields are mandatory for some materials
Now if the user goes for a save with out entering those fields in addtional tab B, i am rising a error that field is not entered in Additional tab B.
Now everything is fine i am able to trigger that error message by writing the error message in USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT. By writing a enhancement spot.
whenever i trigger this error message if i go and enter the corresponding fields in Additional tab B at item level it is saying that the " Item SOME NO say 00010 does not exist " and it is going out of the transaction with out saving the sales order .
If i dont click the save button and going directly to that additional data tab and entering the corresponding field and going for save it is saving.
I am getting the problem if i click the save button before entering those fields. wht could be the problem?
please help me.

I tried using the exit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE.
But the problem is based on the material number entered in the screen i am fetching part location type from MVKE. using that part location i am triggering error messages.
when i try to refer the material number as VBAP-MATNR it is blank in the exit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE. So i cant use this exit.
