Problem in activating ods object

Hi Everyone,
I created a ods object from flat file, and while activating it gives problem.
These are the error messages:
The creation of the export DataSource failed
Message no. RSBM035
Diagnosis
The creation of the OLTP source &v1& was unsuccessful.
System response
Whilst generating the Export InfoSource, the Metadata for an R/3 OLTP source must be generated. An error arose when doing this.
Procedure
Consult the appropriate developer (function module: RSB1_OLTPSOURCE_GENERATE).
What can be done, can anyone suggest me please.

Problem with activating ODS object.

Hi experts,
I've got a problem with the activation of an ODS object. I've transported this single object from T to A system. First I got an error because one InfoObject was not yet transported to A. After I succesfully transported this InfoObjec, I tried to transport the ODS object again. But now the ODS object is not activated. I cannot activate it by hand also.
The following messages appear when I try to transport/activate this ODS object:
"No active nametab exists for /BIC/AZODEFOP50>"
"Termination due to inconsistencies"
"BIC/ZODEFOP00 (statements could not be generated)"
"Tabel /BIC/AZODEFOP50 could not be activated"
Does anybody know what is wrong and how i can solve it? I've tried to transport this ODS object several times but always the same problem. Even if I try to create this ODS object in A system by hand under the same name: ZODEFOP, I get the same errors when I want to activate it.
Please help me!

Hi,
Make sure that the self system is in active form in RSA1->Source system tree.
And also make sure the RFC destination to self system is in active form.
Some times self sytem inactive or wrong path in destinations to self one creates the problem in the activation of ODS.Becuse it has to create a DS on ODS.

There are only 3 info objects which i have created it and activated, only those i am pulling in the new ods but its throwing the same error what ever i do changes.
Is this issue is related to any authorization concerned?

Table which stores the list of active ods objects in BW

Hi,
I am trying to find out the list of active ods objects starting with y and Z, Is there any table which has the information regarding that. For Infoobject I found the table as "RSDIOBJ". Can you plz let me know if there is any table for ods.

Error activating ODS object.

None of the ODS objects gets activated and following are the error messages that i get when i try to activate a ODS object :
Object ZRSMODS could not be activated

Message no. R7I028
Transfer structure prefix for source system T90CLNT090 is not defined
Message no. RSAR325
Diagnosis
A prefix is defined for the source system for determining cross-system unique transfer structure names. This prefix is not defined between your source system T90CLNT090 and Warehouse T90CLNT090. There was probably an error when creating the source system.
Procedure
If you have not yet loaded data from this source system, delete the source system and then recreate it.
If the problem occurs again, check the SAP Support Portal. Create a new problem message, if necessary.

Have a look on the following points and see if they are satisfied in your case:
Check all characteristics involved as described below:
1. Check the Compounding and Attributes tabs in the characteristics maintenance.
2. All characteristics here must be active. This is displayed by a green icon.
If this is not the case for a characteristic involved (a gray icon is displayed on one of the two tabs), activate the characteristic involved. This also activates the inactive dependent characteristics.
3. After you have checked and repaired all the characteristics involved as described above, the loading/maintenance of master data should work again.
Because of this you may sometimes get the same error while activating the ODS object.

Problem in activating ODS

Hello Friends,
I have loaded data into New Table of ODS with out any Errors , When I tried to activate ODS,I am getting an error as below
ERROR :
Main Process :
Time limit exceeded. No return of the split processes
Resource error. No batch process available. Process terminated
SID Generation :
Resource error. No batch process available. Process terminated
Activation of M records from DataStore object ZDS_PR terminated
While activating ODS I checked out in SM50 where I find there is only one BGD process of mine running
and at the same time I checkd out in SM66 there was only one BTC process of mine running
when I cheked out in JOBs , my JOB got cancelled afte 500 seconds,
I also changed the process time and number of Packages .
what meight be the probelm ?????
Before activating the ODS, in the request I could not see Query symbol in 'Request for Reporting Available' , does it means the data has some error ??????

From your mail, i am assuming that there is the problem with your back ground jobs. hope you have to increase your back grond jobs and dilog jobs.
You can do job settings via RZ04 and RZ11 transactions.
Pls try to activate ODS with below programs.
RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE
RSDSODSACTIVATE.
Hope this may resolve your issue.

Error while activating ODS Object

Hi,
I have loaded the data from R/3 to a ODS Object and the activation of ODS failed due to the following errors as shown below..
-Value '20060 ' of characteristic 0CALQUARTER is not plausible
-Error when assigning SID (details in long text)
-Activation of data records from ODS object ZODS_02 terminated
-Error getting SID for ODS object ZODS_02
I could see that Calendar Quarter as 20060 in PSA. How should i get rid of this error. Any idea would be appreciated.

you are getting this calender qurter from SAP right... check in RSA3 fro the your Datasource. if you are getting same value like '20060'. you can do one thing... you can set 'No Update' in Transfer Rules. you can write a routine in Update Rules for populating the data for calender Week.
you can call some standard function modules or you can write a small routine. If you want to write a routine check this thread...Re: Date to Quarter
Possibilites:
1. updtae rules
2. if RSA3(PSA) shows the value of the Quarter as '20050', if it is custom extractor(Generic using FM) you can change this.
3. If it is Standard Extractor or Generic Extractor (using either view/table or Infoset) you can enhance this. you can do the same thing in SAP Side.

Problem in activating design objects in Integration Repository

I have already added the "http:

you need to activate the test.for.api.com (by activatiing software component name in Change tab) first
and then activate the rest of the objects

Problem in activation of ODS 0SD_O06 due to Archiving request.

Hi Experts,
I am having a problem in activating ODS 0SD_O06, it is giving below error message
1. 550 of 1.476.126 data records are in a locked area
2. 550 data records locked by archiving request 1.048.978
3. Error when checking data to be activated against archiving objects.
We have archived the ODS content based on Billing Date, Archiving Request 1.048.978 is for the Bill Date 01.01.2004 to 31.12.2004.
I checked in the new data table of ODS with the Bill Date 01.01.2004 to 31.12.2004, I got 550 Records.
It means the records which is already archived for Bill Date 01.01.2004 to 31.12.2004, got changed and again came into the request.
I am not able to find the solution for this, please help me in this, your help will be highly appreciated.

If the data has been archieved then there is no tool to get the archieve data back in BW. So I suggest to investigate further.

The problem is with ur Source Sys connection..
Above problems will be solved by restoring Source System Connection... Ask your Basis team to restore SS.

Error activating ODS-Inconsistency DD - DB ?

Hi BW Gurus,
My requirement is to change the field length of one InfoObject used in ODS object(ODS_T) from Numeric 3 to Numeric 4. When doing the activation of ODS, the system prompt for continue with Activate and Adjust Database in SE14. However, some error occurred during adjusting the databse. After i corrected the error, i resume the adjustment of databse but still ended with error in Step 6. Therefore i delete the ODS Object(ODS_T) and recreate a new ODS using the same name.
When i try to activate the ODS, ODS Object couldn't be activated, below error returned:
The dictionary activation module could not activate all objects.
/BIC/AODS_T00: Inconsistency DD <-> DB (check table with analysis tool)
A table called /BIC/AODS_T00 exists in the database
No active nametab exists for /BIC/AODS_T00
Termination due to inconsistencies
Table /BIC/AODS_T00 (Statements could not be generated)

Hi,
Try Tcode RSRV.
Run RSRV check on the DSO. If you found any error repair it.
RSRV is a diagnostic tool in BW, System will automatically corrects if there are any inconsistencies with the BW objects
It is used for Analysis and Repair purpose of BW objects like:
1. Master Data Consistency Checks
2. Transaction Data Consistency Checks
3. Size of Dimensio tables
4. Checking SID values
5. PSA duplicate record check
6. Checking Aggregates
7. Partitions of Info cuses etc...
You can check everything.
Just expand it > drag n drop the required test to the right panel and give the object > execute.

When activating ODS object 0RPM_DS02 SIDs have to be got for all characteristic values in the ODS tables, provided that these characteristic values are not already assigned any SIDs. This is required because the SIDs are used in BEx Reporting.
The activation of ODS object 0RPM_DS02 can thus take a while longer.
Procedure
If the activation of ODS object 0RPM_DS02 terminates due to timeout you have to activate the ODS object with the program RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE in the background.
I'm working on this, is there any other way out for the
same.
