Problem in Adding Panel to JScrollPane

I have added a JScrollPane to the Frame which has GridbagLayout.For JScrollPane,I added one panel.I set the background color of Panel as white.But I am unable to get the white color.I tried by changing background color of JScrollPane also.Still I am unable to get the white color.I set the size of panel as (3000,300) then also I am not getting scroll bars.
If anybody worked on JScrollpane Please help me.
Thanks in advance

  • JTable sorting - problem when adding elements (complete code inside)

    Im writing this email with reference to a recent posting here but this time with the code example. (I apologize for the duplicated posting this time it will be with the code)
    Problem: when adding more elements to the JTable (sorted) the exception: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException is thrown.
    Example: If the elements in the table are 10 and then the user requests for 8 the table will produce the correct result. However, if the user will ask for 11 items (>10) the exception will be thrown.
    The program: The program below (compiles and running). A JTable is constructed with 3 items, when you click the button - the return result should be 4 items - this will generate the error, WHY?
    I would highly appreciate your thoughts why this is happening and most importantly how to fix it.
    Thanks a lot

  • Printing JPanel that is added to the JScrollPane

    Hi
    I am facing a typical problem while I am printing my JPanel.
    My Panel is added to the JScrollPane.And I added 200 Images to the JPanel (20 rows and 10 columns).
    To see the 6,7,8,9,10 Images I have to scroll it left side and for 80 to 200 images I have to scroll down.
    Now if i print my JPanel it is only printing the Images those are visible to the user at a time. If scroll down and say print again it is printing the bottom components and missing Top components (Images).
    I want to print all the images at a time.
    Can any body suggest me how to do it. My Panel implements Printable interface and the following is the print method that I implemented
    public int print(Graphics g, PageFormat pageFormat, int pageIndex) {
    if (pageIndex > 0) {
    return(NO_SUCH_PAGE);
    } else {
    Graphics2D g2d = (Graphics2D)g;
    g2d.translate(pageFormat.getImageableX(), pageFormat.getImageableY());
    componentToBePrinted.paintAll(g2d);
    return(PAGE_EXISTS);
    Thank you and Regards

    could you publish the entire code or at least your paintall method....

  • Hello everybody, Problem with Two panel in a Frame

    This is my first mail in this forum.I'm trying to learn java myself & have a problem in adding more than one panel in a JFrame.
    i should be able to add one panel which occupies 3/4 of a frame and another panel occupies the rest.
    Thanx in advance for anyone who helps me in sorting out this problem.

    You can use for example the GridLayout
    In your JFrame constructor, add lines below, it will add 2 colored panel in your frame
    Container container = getContentPane();
    container.setLayout(new GridLayout(1,2)); // 1 row, 2 cols
    JPanel panel1 = new JPanel();
    panel1.setBackground(Color.red);
    container.add(panel1);
    JPanel panel2 = new JPanel();
    panel2.setBackground(Color.green);
    container.add(panel2);

  • How to add Panel in JScrollPane? URGENT!

    I need to add a Panel in JScrollPane
    I have try to add JPanel into JScrollPane, but apparently, the JPanel did not show up at all in the JScrollPane (all i see is the border of JScrollPane)
    Then I switch my JPanel to Panel (awt) and it does appear on the JScrollPane, but scrollbars are not visible even i have set the size of the panel is larger than the JScrollPane. (and i also set the VERTICAL_SCROLLBARS_ALWAYS) I can scroll with my mousewhieel, but the panel can scroll out of place(ie outside of the Jscrollpane)
    Can someone teach me how to add a Panel or JPanel to a JScrollPane Please~ Thanks!!!

    here is an example that illustrate my problem:

                        testing test=new testing();
    apparently, the panel i add in teh scrollpane is on the top layer instead of inside the scroll... can anyone help?

  • Adding panels to panels

    Im have problems when adding a panel to another panel. Im using an applet that has borderlayout. In the centre of the layout i need to add some panels. the panel that is added to the center is called myPanel that uses gridlayout(2,2). In this panel there is two dice panels that each contains a dice object. I now need to add two buttons to myPanel. Ive done this by adding them to a panel, but i dont seem to be able to set the panel layout. The flowlayout i choose seems to be ignored and results in have buttons that fill the remaing space of the panel. I need to change the layout so that the buttons are of normal size. I think there is a way of seting the layout as you add them.
    I would be greatful of any help. Cheers.
    Here is how ive added the panels.
    myPanel = new Panel();
    myPanel.setLayout(new GridLayout(2,2));
    myPanel.setBackground(new Color(88,192,63));
    dice1Panel = new Panel();
    dice2Panel = new Panel();
    drawdice1.DrawDice(1,100,0);
    myPanel.add(dice1Panel.add(drawdice1));
    dice2Panel = new Panel();
    drawdice2.DrawDice(1,10,0);
    myPanel.add(dice2Panel.add(drawdice2));
    add(dice1Panel);
    buttonPanel = new Panel();
    buttonPanel.setLayout(new FlowLayout());
    btnTwist = new Button(" Twist ");
    btnStick = new Button(" Stick ");
    myPanel.add(buttonPanel.add(btnTwist));
    myPanel.add(buttonPanel.add(btnStick));
    add("Center",myPanel);

    I still get the problem with button sizes. If i try using GridBagLayout in myPanel I get the correct size buttons, but my dice are not painted to the screen. This is also the case with flowlayout.
    This is my DrawDice class that im using
    public class DrawDice extends Canvas{

  • Problem with adding Sun JSF RI v1.2 as a new library in JDeveloper 10.1.3.1

    Hi,
    I have a problem with adding a latest JSF 1.2 RI from Sun (https://javaserverfaces.dev.java.net/files/documents/1866/44998/jsf-1_2_03.zip) to JDeveloper as a new library.
    I created a new User library and added into it jsf-impl.jar and jsf-api.jar from JSF 1.2 RI.
    Then I try to create two new JSP Tag libraries based from .tld files.
    When a .tld file is placed in "TLD File:" field there is no information below about Library Version and Required JSP Version. If I check "Execute Tags in JSP Visual Editor" and click "Customize" button - list of tags in "Customize Tag Library" window is empty.
    I have errors when I try to use JSF Tags from this new library in JSP page like :
    "Can't create tag instance: f:view (class: null). Make sure, that the tag class or a library contained this class is available in this application"
    (free translation to English)
    Is this possible to add JSF RI v1.2 as another library in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.1 ?
    thanks for help
    koli

    Hi,
    This solution is not exactly for Jdeveloper 10.1.3.x I think.
    - "Create a JSF system library." section, point 2. - there is not possible to add library in folder other than User I see, so I added it in User folder.
    - "Register the JSF JSP tag libraries." section, point 5. - in JD 10.1.3 there is no dialog box, I checked checkbox "Show Tag Library in Palette". A new library was added to User folder but there is no new libraries in component Palette.
    Even as I use "Edit tag libraries .." from Component Palette context menu and add manually new tag libraries to selected, there is no libraries in Component Palette after it.
    I feel so problem is with different .tld files format, not with adding libraries method.
    Sun RI tld file (from version 1.2_03) fragment:

    you need -f, which sends ssh to the background, and -N which does not execute a remote command.
    If you need it to run as a user other than root, then you probably need to utilize su as well.
    it didnt work either. i am putting it in rc.local but doesnt work.

  • Problem with tabbed panel

    I have a problem with tabbed panel...this panel has 3 columns, I copied to each of them a diffrent text (diffrent height)...I expected to obtain diffrent working area of column, for example  1st column-height 7500 px, 2nd-1500 px, 3rd-2500 px, but I received one height 7500 px, each column has been formatted to this size....below a text I have “empty space”- (it is a diffrence between working area and text area)...I put the text to the 1st column for example 7200 px height, empty space below this text is 300 px I received 7500 px of working area in this column, here the problem doesn`t exist but….2nd column i have height of text for example 1300 px, below this text i have 6200 px empty space...It should be height 1300 px of text and maybe 200 px of empty space...so the working area could have at 1500 px not 7500 px of height....I try to change it (to for example 1500 px) but it still  return to the basic 7500 px height and can`t do  it...The solution is to use another form like. the accordion form..but it is a row form….when you put a diffrent sized text (height) you will receive diffrent size of working  area (height), you obtain 7200px text +300 px empty space=7500 working area in 1st row.. 1200 px text + 300 px empty space=1500 workin area px in 2nd row and 2500 working area px in 3rd row…everything is fine in this form…each row has been formatted to the different size of height…but I prefer to use a tabbed panel (column form) instead a accordion form.…I don`t to waste the time to correct the code in html text editor like PSPad…

  • Problems with adding Library for a MySQL JDBC driver

    Good day,
    I am new with the JDeveloper package, so the following could be a user fault.
    I found the following:
    - I downloaded and installed Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.10 (latest version).
    - I downloaded the latest JDBC drivers for MySQL. ( mysql-connector-java-3.1.10 )
    Now, I did the following steps extracted from the link http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/duff/mysql_and_oc4j3.html it should be quite easy to add the JDBC Drivers to the project.
    I did the steps with the following results:
    When I Edit the Project properties, follow Profiles -> Development -> Libraries
    When I do ' New' , fill in at JS2E the value 'MySQL' and fill in the Class Path (in my case 'C:\javaInstalls\mysql-connector-java-3.1.10\mysql-connector-java-3.1.10-bin.jar').
    In that case the [OK] is disabled. I should expect the [OK] button was enabled!
    My question: Is this a bug? When not, what am I doing wrong!
    Regards,
    Mike

    I tried it on an other system and had no problems with adding the libraries. It still is a problem on that particular system using the Dutch version of XP. The problem is that the Ok button stays disabled !
    Could it bw a version problem with Java? How ever no changes are made to the original configuration, so it should pick up as default the java version of JDeveloper self.
