I have a customized P.O script which is now to be made for arabic language.i have excel sheet with me which is translation of english to arabic,
1. how can i proceed with the form in order to get exactly in arabic.
2. as arabic is read from right to left, presently i am getting everything in reverse. in a sentence of five words in arabic, the last word is printing first and so on.
3. even the left window is printing on right?

Hi Pravan,
This is a little tricky problem, to make a Smartform in Arabic you need to execute in the followin steps:
(1) Login to SAP using Language = AR(arabic).
(2) Develop the Smartform using this setting. I should warn you that everything you develop will be done from left to right but the display will be from right to left when the smartform layout is executed, so you need to program accordingly.
(3) Once you have finished developing in ARABIC logon come back to the normal EN logon and run the smartform function module with
IMPORTING....
CONTROL_PARAMETERS = W_PARAM
(where W_PARAM-LA = 'AR').
This will make the smartform run in arabic in the english logon. Also make sure that you do not try to edit the smartform in english logon otherwise it will revert back and give you the same problem. Hope this helps even though its late .

How to solve the auto word break problem in Arabic language Flex project

Hi, I'm using Flex SDK 3.5 to develop a game in Arabic. Now I have a problem with the auto word break on the TextArea Control.
The output looks like this (Sorry I can't type arabic, so I use English instead)

My settings of the textarea are fine in English version games. But just didn't work in Arabic. Any idea how to solve this problem? Thanks.

Sorry to reopen this thread again. I was puzzled by the data format in Motion-DDK.
From the Motion-DDK, if u32, i32 and f64 data are passed to and from the controller, a specific format must be followed as below:
u32:
u32 cmddata[x] = (WORD) (u32data ?16);
cmddata[x + 1] = (u16) u32data;
i32:
i32 cmddata[x] = (WORD) (i32data ?16);
cmddata[x + 1] = (i16) i32data;
f64:
f64—big endian order cmddata[x] = ((u16) (&f64data)) [3];
cmddata[x + 1] = ((u16) (&f64data)) [2];
cmddata[x + 2] = ((u16) (&f64data)) [1];
cmddata[x + 3] = ((u16) (&f64data)) [0];
f64—little endian order cmddata[x] = ((u16) (&f64data)) [0];
cmddata[x + 1] = ((u16) (&f64data)) [1];
cmddata[x + 2] = ((u16) (&f64data)) [2];

My first question: is the "?" symbol means the >> (shift operator) or something else?
The second question is: if "?" means ">>" in this list, all the u32 and i32 data are always transferred in big-endian order. Is it the only correct way to deliver the i32 and u32 data? Or I can pass the u32 and i32 either in little-order or big-order depending on my platform?
The last one: could you provide a feasible C code on how to convert the f64 data to u16?
I first followed the format in the list to convert the f64 data, but met with a lot of compiler errors in VC++. After checked with MSDN, it is said the convert process is double(f64)->long(i32)->unsigned short(u16). But the decimal part of double will be truncated during converting to long...
So, could you help me with some very simple sample code on the convert process?

does snow leopard have any problem with Arabic language cause i noticed strange behavior with word the letters are not linked together every letter alone
Right, MS Word for OS X has never yet supported Arabic (or any Indic language either).
in pages its fine but the cursor don't move between letters and when i type it stays at beginning of the line although i can type why is that happening ?
Because, while Pages does support Arabic (and also Indic), it has various bugs which make it unsuitable for RTL scripts for most people (unless copy/paste from elsewhere is enough). Same for Keynote and Numbers and iWeb.
Use instead Mellel, TextEdit, Nisus Writer, OpenOffice, etc.

it's small buttons it's made it hard touched
and there some characters is missing
like ( ُ ) and ( ٌ )
so we made a ned keyboard to Z10 it's better
i don't know u guys can making it ? ot not if u can't let us to developer keyboard Arabic language

Response of USSD request in Arabic language

I am facing one problem, I have got 1 USSD menu(USSR reuest) in ARABIC language, for that i have to respond back also in ARABIC digits, but I am unable to respond back in Arabic language, I can send the response in English but in that case server is rejecting that.
My doubt is, Can I respond back in Arabic language or not. Pls reply this asap.

Having implemented number of Arabic-English bilingual applications, I can safely assure that what's provided in Rahul's e-mail suggests the right answer (slightly except hijri calendar). However, I'll share my own experiences.
1. There is no problem in displaying Arabic text in Planning. You can create an Arabic alias table and load all Arabic aliases to this table. You can even load arabic text as member names or to default alias. But I would suggest loading Arabic text into a separate alias table. Make sure you create the application in unicode mode.
2. Customizations can be done in Arabic also. Make sure you save validatedata.js in Utf encoding. In order to customize system generated e-mail messages in Arabic, you should convert Arabic message to ASCII codes first before doing this:

3. Menus, messages etc. have not been translated to Arabic yet. Therefore, they will remain in English.
4. Web form orientation or overall screen orientation is from left to right. None of the the user I've seen has complained about it so far but if they insist on seeing the forms from right to left, you can enable smartview and change the page orientation to right to left if it hasn't been already.
5. Financial Reporting supports Arabic provided that you use an Arabic compliant font in your reports. We've mostly used Arabic Transparent.
6. User names must be in English in Shared Services however, there is no problem to provide full name in Arabic.
7. And lastly, Hijri calendar is not supported. You can of course rename months as Hijri months as the number of months is the same as Gregorian, but date functions in Essbase are not Hijri compliant.

It sounds like an encoding problem. There is really nothing you can do at your end to adjust encodings on an iphone. You might try switching the interface between Arabic and English, but I doubt it will make a difference.
