Problem in Bex Input Screen

Hi,
We are using 0profit_ctr in the input screen and hierarchies are made on dis infoobject and no of hierarchies are made on this infoobject and client wants to see only specific hierarchies in the help . Plz let me know hw it cud be restricted in the help .....

2 abc
3 hjk
4.jkl
i want that only xyz abc and hjk hierarchies shud b visisble wen client will select not jkl.... hw it can b achieved..

Input screen for Variable in Bex

Hi ,
I have created variable based on calender month and this variable is used in reports,but for this variable i am unable to get the input screen where as when iam trying to execute same report in RSRT it is allowing me to enter the date.
Its lots of time for my query to exeute for 6 months data , i tried creating indexes , aggregates and partition on the cube but it did not help out for me to resolve this issue. Did anyone face similar kind of issue , if yes could you tell me what u have done or can be done to resolve this issue.

Hi Sonu,
Yes the properties of the web template has to be changed in the WAD.
When this property is not enabled the query executes for all the data in the infocube and hence it takes lot of time because the variable entry is ignored.
There is two solution to eliminate the problem.
1. Please make this variable mandatory ( if you are allowed to. because some variabele are not liked to be mandatory by the user.)
2. Change the property of the Webtemplate.
Open the template that contains the query in WAD.
in the properties Window click on the drop down box to view the property of the web template.
if your are using WAD 7.0 do as follows
go to web template parameters tab.
under the section behaviour u have an option called Display variable.
enable it.
incase u use WAD 3.5 do as follows.
in the properties window click on the Web item tab.
under the section general u have an option called force variable screen.
enable it.
i guess this may help you.

Problem at Control Table (Screen-input)

hi guys,
I create a Grid (Control Table using the Wizard) from a Internal Table, I need to set Values of the GRID like Screen-input = '0'. or Screen-output = '1'.;
I try to change screen-ACTIVE, screen-INPUT, screen-OUTPUT and screen-INVISIBLE, but make no changes at screen.
I have other GRID at screen and that changes normally;
Here the code to change that: (PBO)
LOOP AT SCREEN.
if screen-name = 'TI_UNIT-UNIT'.
screen-INPUT = '0'.
MODIFY SCREEN.
endif.
ENDLOOP.

My problem was at Screen Logic:
LOOP AT ti_unit WITH CONTROL tc_unit_9000
CURSOR tc_unit_9000-current_line.
MODULE update_9000_unit.
ENDLOOP.
MODULE update_unit.
I was executing the loop at screen at module update_9000_unit in loop...
I create other module and put the code in...
and work's fine...

User input screen in the Bex report

Hi experts,
In the input screen of a BEx report, suppose for Business Area if we have 10 values in the infoprovider
then if user entered other than the 10 values then it should give me an error message saying that enter a
correct value.But right now it is not happening like that. How to get this ?

I kept some breakpoints and executed the query, but it is not going into debug mode.
In the code when clicked on Code Inspector the following errors came:

Problem in input screen while executing the query

Hi,
I am trying to execute a query.In the variable input screen i have to provide a list of document numbers for a filed. If i click the 'Select from list' symbol, it is taking very long time to process and not responding for 2 to 3 hours. But if i enter the values directly instead of clicking it, it is executing in less than a minute. Any idea why it is taking long time if i click 'select from list'.

This report is created on a ODS and it is not the case with other reports. This report was workin normally till last week, but dont know what is the exact reason this week. There is no changes like applying any patches etc to the system.

Display compounded InfoObject value in BEX selection screen

Hi people,
Problem in 7.0
I have Costcenter compounded with Plant and I am using Costcenter for Selections in the BEx varaible screen.
After running the report, in the selection screen value help, only the value of Costcenter is displayed, not the compounded value (So it becomes very difficult to identify from which plant the costcenter is from)
What should I do so that the User sees as Plant/Costcenter in the Value help?
Problem in 3.5
The above issue is not there in 3.5, but.......
I select COSTCENTER X from PLANT A and execute the report. In the report output, I do not see the records only for COSTCENTER X from PLANT A, but for COSTCENTER X from all Plants
why is this? Is it how this works or is it a bug?

Problem in BEx analyzer output in BI dev and BI Quality

Hi All
I am facing a problem in BEx analyzer output in BI Dev and BI Quality server where the query is make on BI infoset.
When i am executing the query in BI dev server then it is giving the output result but when i tried to executing the BI query in BI quality server the i got 'No available data found result'.
I have also checked the same selection input result in infoprovider for infoset and output is getting for the same.
Please suggest for regarding solution.

Hi,
check whether you have loaded data in to quality server if no, please load data for all the target involved in info set. If data loaded check all the target 'request for reporting available 'or not.
Also check whether data is showing in infoset or not.. if data availble there change your selection critiria accordingly.

Problem in AT selection screen validation

Hi,
I am having problem in AT SELECTION SCREEN Validation.
I have 2 radiobutton and 6 parameter. if i click first radio button all the 6 radiobutton should enable and take the user input, that is working fine for me.
if i click second radiobutton , out of 6 , 3 parameter should disable and remaining 3 should enable. thats also working fine.
My problem is program has written the validation for this 3 parameter in the AT SELECTION SCREEN.
For first radioutton all the validation working fine, for second validation as soon as i press the radiobutton it will display error message. Based on 2 parameter user is filling value for 3 rd parameter.
I want the same validation to be done for second radio button after user pressing enter.
PARAMETER: p_single RADIOBUTTON GROUP rad1 DEFAULT 'X' USER-COMMAND f1,
           p_multi RADIOBUTTON GROUP rad1.
PARAMETERS: s_pwwrk LIKE plaf-pwwrk.

'Text' of a variable in Bex selection screen

Hello,
We have a customer exit variable in Bex Query selection.it is mandatory,ready for input,interval which is on 0CALMONTH2.
In Bex selection screen i am not getting text of default/entered months.
for example: if default value is 2 to 4,then text would be FEB to APR.
what could be the reason?how to get teaxts of entered values?
(we have one more customer exit variable on 0CALMONTH2 which is single value and it shows text of enterd values in bex selection)
In web it is working fine.

Try to create an another customer exit variable for 0CALMONTH2 with mandatory,ready for input,interval. refer the abap code of the another customer exit variable(single value variable) of 0CALMONTH2 which you have mentioned in the bracket and modify the abap code based on the selection - interval. hope it helps.

BEX Selection screen in an endless loop when pressing the Check button

Hello SDN
Has anyone faced this issue before where the BEX selection screen seems to get its knickers in a twist and goes into an endless loopp when the Check button is clicked? It goes through fine if I directly hit execute.
Anyone ? Any ideas ?

Never seen it before but here is something to check..
Does the query have a variable with processing type of customer exit. If yes, look at the user exit code in step 3 which is used for input value validation.

Keyboard layout problem at the login screen

Hi there!
I'm having a huge problem at the login screen just after installing OS X Lion 10.7. It seems like the keyboard layout has changed, and I need to enter some numbers in my password. I can't find the digit 9, and I really don't know if the other numbers are in the right place either. Maybe it's changed to a us layout.. What to do?

the numbers are in the same position on a US English keyboard as they are on a Norwegian keyboard.
If you select the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences, and select its Login Options, do you have the “Show Input menu in login window” checkbox checked? (That’s where the checkbox’s location is in Mavericks; I don’t have Lion, so I don’t know if it’s in the same location there.)

Pop Up Input Screen

Hi Experts,
   I have this requirement:
     Scenario: I have one table control, with two radio buttons say R1 and R2.
                    a) When R2 is selected, a button outside the table control should get activated.
                    b) On Click of that button, a POP-UP screen (Input Screen), which will be similar to a table
                        control should get displayed in order to take more inputs from the user. The Pop-Up Screen
                        will contain only two fields.
    Please share your experience and suggest me the solution.

Problem with increasing input field length in module pool programming.

I have created a screen in which i have used table control wizard. In my table control I have an input field. The problem is, this input filed only takes 23 inputs at a time. I need to make this field unfixed. This is an quantity field. I am not understanding why this is happening. Can anybody plz help me in this regard ?

One input screen in iTunes Producer stumped me

I successfully uploaded my iBook yesterday. I had to skip one page of input using iTunes Producer. That did not torpedo the upload, but can someone answer my question re. what I was being asked for that I did not understand?
The input screen that stumped me appears when accessing the “Publication” section of the “Assets” tab.
Under “Books/Textbooks” is two available choices to be made.
It looks like I’m being offered to choose an image to associate with the word “Publication”, and replace the default “iBooks” cover icon, and also replace a second, identical iBooks icon that appeared directly under the words “Publication Preview”.
I assumed that the page was asking for a couple of additional images or pictures, although I had already uploaded the book file from iBook Author w/o problems and it contained all of the graphics files I needed.
Anyway, when I clicked either of the “Choose” buttons, one of my desktop folders opened that contained only jpeg’s and tiff files but they were all grayed-out and unable to be selected.
What was supposed to happen on that page? What was being asked for from me?

The "Choose" button under the "Publication" icon is a REQUIRED field.
SO now I'm really wondering why the rest of the upload completed successfully?
My package "validated" correctly.
AM I going to have to upload the whole thing again?
