We are facing a problem with BRBACKUP tool.
DB: 10.2g
OS: AIX:5.3
SAP: on ECC6
while taking the backup BTTOOLS at ORA<sid> we are getting this error:

I am running Windows 7 home edition and trying to update to iTunes version 10.5 (from version 10.3.1.55) and I keep getting the following error message, ‘Error occurred while installing the updates. Hi, I am prompted to download the latest I Tunes software (10.7) (I have done this sucessfully for other versions many times before)
The process starts but stops quite quickly.A message pops up "Errors have occured while installing updates, if the problem persists choose Tools>Download Only and install manually" When I try this it still fails but another message pops up "Invalid signature, the download has been removed"
Not very sharp on computers so any help would be appreciated.

Have a first gen iPad with 4.3 IOS. Can't download version 5.1 because iTunes 11.1 need to be downloaded. Cannot download version of iTunes. " errors occured while installing updates. if the problem persists choose tools>download only and try installing manually". This is as far as I can get. Can't find tools to manually download. When I try to reset to factory settings, I get an error also.

Problems with Pro Tools 8, is it the software?
Hello, I know this is "Apple Discussions", but since I'm using Pro tools 8 with the new macbook pro, I might get some answers here. I recently bought pro tools 8, I already have logic though, but wanted to be in the pro tools world too so, the thing is that every time I use Pro Tools 8 with the digi 003, the session Im working on will stop with just a few plugins, and man this happens a lot, on the other hand is that nothing happens when I use the digi 003 with Logic 8, I mean, I could have like 20 plugins and It would not stop at all. Can anyone identify with this problem with pro tools 8, Because people tell me that on pro tools 7.4 that doesnt happen at all.
Thank you...PT8 is much better with plug ins than PT7x, but is not in the league of Logic. I am a huge PT fan and use both Logic and PT8, and as much as I love the look and superior interface of PT8, Logic is like an ugly old car that goes 200 MPH. It's a performance beast. I've had ridiculous amounts of plug ins in Logic with not a whimper from the program.
PT8 is much more sensitive to things like whether you are using Firewire drives to record to (as opposed to internal SATAs on a Mac Pro), and many 3rd party plugs cause PT much grief. For high track counts and lots of plug ins, Logic is still King Kong.

Having a problem with Pro Tools and Quiktime may be the cause. Need advice.
I recently installed Pro Tools recording software on my Mac and everytime I try and open the program I get a kernel panic "restart" screen. I have been told that it may have something to with my Quiktime version.
I am running
OSX version 10.4.7
Pro Tools version 7.1
and Quiktime version 7.0.4
Could this be my problem? thanksA fax file is simply a TIFF file. If you converted it to a PDF (you did not give any info on your workflow), then you have a graphic. The conversion to Excel will also be a bunch of graphics I guess. You would need to run OCR first. Even then you may not get the column information and may have to copy column by column using alt key when selecting the text. That allows you go copy a column.

Problem with database tool kit, and MS Office Tool kit.
One of my programmer's who has the Office tool kit noticed this on Monday, and we haven't been able to find the problem yet.
We use the database connectivity reads and writes to a MS Access database. This program reads the data from a Symbol Scanner, and then inputs it into the database. He then has a query that to create a data table to pump into the MS Toolkit to build a MS World file (This is for a Bill of Lading).
What we found it that it works really well the first time, and on any further runs it will not update the database with any new data. It starts working again if we do a restart on the computer. It seems like something is not freeing up the database. He is freeing all the tables and closing the DB connection at each process, and everything else seems to be doing everything else right. I think the problem is that it goes into this MS Toolkit to make the table that goes on the Bill of Lading.
I did a modification that makes it read from an excel file on my desktop, and I found that it is doing the same thing. I deleted the report generator part of the program, and found that it will update the database properly. I have no clue.

MS Office 2007, the file is a Office 2003 format,Given that the code still fails when talking to a excel file it sounds like this isn't really related to the database. Can you post a bit of your that shows the problem. Beyond that, be looking for things in the code that change between subsequent interations -- things like shift registers, globals, etc.
On the other hand, the fact that you have to restart the computer would tend to indicate that there is something going on with the MS Office side of things. To be clear: shutting down and restarting LV is NOT sufficient to clear the problem?
When the problem is occurring, if you shut down LV and open the Task Manager do you see (on the Processes tab) any MS Office components still running?

Problem with Fill tool in Windows 7 Paint
I've seen variations on this question (such as http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprogeneral/thread/8afa9277-686a-44e0-b488-e5bee4611cb5/ ),
but none seem to address the specific problem I'm having; namely, that the Fill tool in MS-Paint is disabled and remains that way, no matter what I do. If I open a GIF for editing, no Fill tool. If I select a bounded area, no Fill tool. If
I Select All, no Fill tool.
I'm trying to modify a button face by changing the default color to a gray tone, to produce a "disabled" version. Seems to me this should be the easiest thing in the world to do, but I jest cain't. Ideas?Hi,
Do you mean that the Fill with color is grayed out in MS paint?
You may check the following:
1. Try the
system restore to go back to a previous status and check the result.
To restore system will preserve all the software and files before the previous restore point. And all of your private date will be preserved.
2. Run
System File Checker tool and see how it works.

Problem with Text tool in Photoshop CS5
I just purchased PCS5 this morning and they told me that I should download the trial version till I get the actual CDs... I have Photoshop CS4 and never had any serious problems. After downloading and installing CS5 it seems everything is working ok... however there are 2 problems...
1. It does not interact with Bridge 4 (when I make changes in Bridge, CS5 does not see it)
2. Any time I try to click on 'TEXT' tool icon, the application crushes... and I cant do anything... I have to restart the application.
Dont care much about 1st problem, but can't do without the 2nd one....
Any ideas?

Have you tried following solutions?
- update Photoshop to 12.0.4
- remove bad & duplicated fonts and clear system font caches
- update or uninstall 3rd party font management application
- remove all 3rd party plugins including font management application plugin
- launch Photoshop 32bit mode
- upgrade your Mac OS

I just got Photoshop CS5 and I'm having a bit of trouble with the pen tool - namely, I can't see the path I'm creating. In CS3 I could clearly see the line between two points but in the new program the line is nearly invisible making it very difficult to create the path. Is this a setting I can fix?
thanksI was having 32 bit while I upgraded from CS3 to CS4. The only problem with CS4 that time was with pen tool.Though I cannot precisely recall , I can say it t was very lazy and very frustrating and this was resolved totally after shifting to 64 bit.--If urs existing system is 32 bit try with 64 bit

Problems with gradient tool bar not remaining on object applied in illustrator cc
Hello,
when applying a gradient to a rectangle i will get the gradient tool, click on the left half of the object i want it applied to and while holding down drag a line to thew right hand side of the object. the problem the arises when i release the mouse as the gradient bar that has been shown while holding down then disappears. this applies the gradient but the issue is that all gradient editing has to be done on the gradient window as a posed to live on the object slowing the work flow.
I am not sure what I'm doing wrong but help would be much appreciated.

JosephJust for the sake of learning how to use the tool i start with drawing a rectangle then click and drag the gradient tool across the box. i see the gradient line appear but when i release the mouse the gradient line disappears
i end up witha box with a gradient but all my editing has to be done in the gradient box as shown in this screen shot:
