Problem in creating Release group for Release Procedure for PR

Hi Experts,
I could not able to create Release Group ( 01 & 02 ) for Release Procedure and assigning it with a Class
( Z_CLASS_PR ) in Set up Procedure with Classification.
The following error is getting displayed.
Please check release classes (see long text)..
How to over come this problem.

Release group:
You are only allowed to use one class for each release object (1=PReq, 2=Purchase order). When you use the overall release (as of Release 4.0A), you are only allowed to use one class for the overall release or individual release. If you use the overall release for purchase requisitions, you must mark this for the document type (transaction OMEB, flag for V_T161-GSFRG) and the release group (transaction OMGQ, flag for V_T16FG-FRGFG). In the overall release, the system only takes into account characteristics that are identical for all items. If, for example, item 10 of a purchase requisition contains material group 001 and item 20 contains material group 002, the material group is set to BLANK for the strategy determination.

Hi Rahul,
The Importance of Release group is it links the Classification functionality to the release procedure, So the characteristics which is included in the classes will appear in the release procedure if you mentioned the Class in the release group.
It also includes the release object which identifies which Purchasing document is active for Release group like 1 for PR , 2 for others.

You need to be more specific in your request - are you looking for a sender, or a receiver grouping? Which characteristic? Is it to be all the values in a characteristic, or is it to be groups of those characteristics.
Have a look at the setting up of hierarchies for characteristics in COPA master data.

Groups/Roles ACI Procedures for Creating Accounts

I am trying to determine the steps I need to perform in order to create a group/role, under "Groups"; "Groups" does not yet exist inside of my directory.
Inside of "Groups", I wish to create a container named "UserAdmins", for which users I make as members would be capable of creating accounts for other users.
In my current environment, in order to create user accounts, admins must be able to add/modify entries in:
1. People
2. group
3. auto.home
4. aliases
My questions, given the information below is:
A. Do my ACI's seem sound for my purposes?
B. How do I create a second ACI, similar to UserAdmins, but with the added ability of "deleting" entries as well as add and modify? (say called "SuperUserAdmins").

Release Groups at "Release strategy

Hi,
At "Release strategy with Classification " there are Release Groups.
But at "Release strategy without Classification " are not Groups availbale.
What is the reason for and for what are Release Groups existing ?

The release group is the only element which makes a pool/connection/linkage between the class and the release strategy....This is specially applicable for the release strategy with classification...
And then further this group is assigned release codes based on which you release the documents...

Permission problem while creating cache group

Hi,
I am trying to create cache groups on SQL developer in TimesTen Cache DB. I have connected to the CacheDB using schema owner/password (say HR/HR). While creating a cache group, I am required to set cache administrator, which in turn requires this user (that is the schema user) to have the CACHE_MANAGER permission.
Is it necessary for the schema user to also be the cache_manager to be able to create a cache group?
As per the documentation, no such requirement has been mentioned, which means I am probably missing a step in between.
Also, if I connect to the DB via Cache Manager user (cacheuser/timesten with oracle as ORA pwd), I don't see the HR schema tables while creating a cache group.
Could someone clarify this?

A cache admin user require CACHE_MANAGER privilege to do all cache operation. It has been documented here

Please go through the section "Configuring a TimesTen database to cache Oracle data " for setting up cache in Timesten side.
"As the instance administrator, use the ttIsql utility to grant the cache manager user cacheuser the required privileges:
Command> GRANT CREATE SESSION, CACHE_MANAGER, CREATE ANY TABLE TO cacheuser;
Command> exit "

Problem while creating logon group in sapgui

Dear all,
   To create logon group in SAP GUi, I am trying with group options
When we hit the generate list with proper entries, in some machines
It is showing login groups. But in some machine it will show
sapmsPRD message not reachable or unknown.
            We try with service file (in local machine), we enter
The port sapmsPRD 3600 or sapmsPRD 3200
The above technique is success in some machine in some machine is not.

You need to enter in the services file
sapms<SID>      3600/tcp
If you use DNS in an active Directory domain you may need to
ipconfig /flushdns
to make the local system re-read its service file.

Problem in creating material group

Hi All,
I have created new material group 230003-01 as per the user's request. It seems fine from my end. I transported it to production. Now user is saying material group is not working and its giving error in ME22N, 'G/L account 230003 cannot be used(please correct)'. Is anything to be modified in that balance sheet a/c?
Can anybody help me to find what could be the cause, how to resolve this problem.

How to create "service group" (ABAP webservice consumer) for SOAMANAGER

I'm trying to setup ABAP as a proper webservice consumer using SOAMANAGER in a 7.01 system. I would like to use Business Scenario Communication for this. I want to add Service Groups in the Consumer tab, and I find 2 servicegroups in the 7.01 (ERP 6.04) system: SRT_SG_TEST_01 and SRT_TEST_GROUP. However, I want to create my own Serivce Groups (Consumer), where do I do that? SE80?
All help appreciated, please don't bother describing the ABAP-as-Provider setup, which is the more common approach.

Please look at the SAP note 376424 - BAPI_PO_CREATE1: Error messages for parked POs.
Sap recommends to install the support service pack. Take a look at the note for detailed understanding.
Also take a look at SAP NOte
767284 - SE518 occurs although account assignment is supplied to BAPI (this requires Note 552114 must be applied as a prerequisite)
Consider contacting basis team after your analysis about the issue.

These attributes are created when you have the context binded to these attributes, also known as schema objects. There is a root object called top. The other objects are inheriting one after another in a successive order from the "top". Correct me if I'm wrong but I've seen similar behavior across all contexts.

Procedure created.AUTHID CURRENT_USER clause before the IS keyword which runddl executes, it should run under the authority of the invoker, or current user not the authority of the definer.
if you omit it then it will no longer will be run if the creator doesnt have privelege to run this ddl regardless invoker has or not.

Problems with creating a 3D picture logo/tile for a website

Hi all
About 6 years ago, I found a great free website where you could create fast and easy 3D picture logos/tiles, with any image or photograph. Stupidly I did not note down their web address, and now I cannot find it by typing everything above, into good old Google. Luckily I subscribed to Adobes Photoshop CC 14.2 version, and was wondering if you guys would know of any tutorials, I could follow to create 3D logos/tiles for a website. Or your own little tutorials please? As it would be very much appreciated.
The only way I can describe my 6 year old created logo/tile, is that it is 149 pixels wide x 217 pixels long, and looks like a bathroom tile. As it seems to have an invisible, internal frame which makes you think that the image, is jumping out at you. Depending on whether Adobe allows you to add images, onto their threads with an external picture host, I will try to add it to this thread.

I am trying to capture all the procedure DDLs for schema CUSTOM
I am using 11g on Linux.
I run this command...
SELECT dbms_metadata.GET_DDL('PROCEDURE',NULL,'CUSTOM') FROM DUAL;
And get this error:
ORA-31600: invalid input value NULL for parameter VALUE in function SET_FILTER
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_METADATA", line 4018
