Problem in creation of Multi-master

I created master group in replication.
I have decided to use multi-master replication and because of that I add another site to my first master site.But when I do that in OEM ,I encunter to a problem
called that invalid compatible version ....
My Oracle Version is 9.2 and compatible parameter in my oracle is 9.2.0.0.0
It is kind of everybody to help me.

its due to the number ranges that is specified in the partner determination ... chech what is the number range assigned in the parner determination ,,, so once u check that u have to manually enter the number between that range only .. this should solve ur problem...
path to check the number range is as below :
spro-img-logistic generalbusiness partner-customers---define account groups and field selection ---
at this point click position button at the bottom and give ur account group .. select ur account group and click detail button .. now inside that u can see the specified number range .. dafault is 08 ( means u can specify between 400000 to 499999)..
and some times u may not have defined number range... check urs and create accordingly ... this should solve ur problem...

Problem in Creation of Change Master Record in CC01 (ECM)

Problem with creation of material master

when try to create material master using mmo1
it gives an error message
Record X5 does not exist in table T133E
and itis terminating the screen and going back to img screen
please try to give me some solution for this

Facing Problem in creation on Customer Master Record with reference

Dear SAP Experts,
I am making a New Customer master record with referenec to existing one. Account Group """ Stock Transfer - Depot""" do not use internal no assignment, we put external no to customer code. but when we enter the customer master with reference to existing one, system shows the error.....enter a no between A001 and Z999.

- The number range is created in XDN1.
- The number range is assigned to the account group "Stock Transfer - Depot" in SAP Customizing Implementation Guide>Financial Accounting>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Customer Accounts>Master Data>Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data>Assign Number Ranges to Customer Account Groups
Remember - If you are entering an external number it generally means the number is created in an external system and replicated to your system.
Help - Check what external number was used last by doing SE16 on table KNA1 and use the account group "Stock Transfer - Depot" as a selection parameter.

Replication problems in 6.3 multi-master environment

I have 4 masters with two databases. One database is a sub-suffix of the other database. Replication keeps breaking and the only error I get is the following on the two servers that are not replicating back and forth:

Can anyone help with this? Replication is completely broken between two of the masters and there are no other errors in the error logs.

I can only search my two masters, the other two are managed by a different group with different DM passwords. Here are the results I got:

Problem in multi master replication creation using DBA Studio -- replication

Hi,
I am trying to create multi master replication using DBA studio but facing following problem at the time of master group creation.
ORA-04052 error occured when looking up remote object SYS.SYS@CBOLDATA
ORA-00604 error occured at recursive SQL level 2
ORA-01017 invalid username/password, logon denied
ORA-02063 preceding line from CBOLDATA
If you want to know how I am trying the whole thing then here is the way I am doing comfiguration.
First I have created master site which is created successfully.
Here I have used two database named UPP817 & CBOLDATA
Step of master site creation is followed like this.
1. Master Site addition (Added both UPP817 & CBOLDATA using SYSTEM username)
2. Default User (No change is done, Default schema and password taken)
3. Master Site Schema (Added SCOTT/tiger)
4. Scheduled Link (No change is done, Default values taken)
5. Purge (No change is done, Default values taken)
6. Finished successfully
Master group creation there is three option available
1. General (Only value of Name is given)
2. Object (No object added)
3. Master Sites (It takes UPP817 by default as a master defination site then as a Master Site I have added CBOLDATA)
when I pressed on Create It gives me the error listed above.

Create public database link at master site database for CBOLDATA.
Also see that you are using SNMP protocol and Oracle Pipe at both
databases. This will be usefull while making replication from remote
place.

Multi-Master replication problems

Multi Master Servers consists of 2 servers.
For this, the Sync function is satisfied.
But I think it's some problems.
If Master 2 Server is dead, only Master 1 saves updated data.
Master 2 starts service again after recovery.
At that time, if clients try to read the data before master 1 and master 2 make sync, isn’t it any problem?
(Because Master 2 data is not update.I know that auto sync time is not immediately ).
How can i solve thie problem.
Please give me the answer.

You will need to manually trigger Master 1 to send the update to Master 2. In worst case, you may need to re-initialize Master 2.

Problem with the creation of asset master record

Hi Gurus,
i am having problem in creation of a new asset master with the use of existing man asset number and different asset sub number. I am trying to create the asset in the same company code but different depriciation area, but the system is not allowing me to do that. Is there a setting in the SPRO by which I can allow the use of creation of the asset number by using the already existing asset number with the new asset sub number. This is actually happening in the system for one type of equipments but not for other.
Can any one tell me what settings are to be made to allow this for all containers.

Hi,
A sub asset master can be created with AS11 only.
You cannot create a asset sub number under a main asset number, in the case, where different set of dep areas needs to be maintained.
When you create a sub asset, all the dep areas will be copied to sub asset's master from main asset master. Since this set of dep areas cannot be different from main asset to sub asset.

Problems with HowTo "Creation of BI Master Data in Integrated Planning...)

one of our customers need a planning application in which he can create master data for different attributes, insert some key figures for this attributes and changes already planned key figured.
For the last two point I've already found a working solution, the first point (creating of masterdata in web template) is still a problem. Does anyone of you know this guide and was able to build a working solution?
I have different questions, maybe you could help me:

First, please take a look at the first document:

In chapter 3 you see the prerequisites (note 1101726 and notes 1384495, 1387004 and 136772). By this, you change the system behaviour, not to check if the new inserted master data is valid (it can't be valid, because the entries are new!)
And after this please implement the solution from the how to.

Even if my first post is a bit old, my customer still uses this solution, at the moment we are on 7.3 sp06, so it is working in newer releases too.

Two problems after reinitializing multi-master replication.

I recently set up multi-master replication between two machines, A and B, running iDS 5.1. Everything works well until I disable replication and re-enable replication. Here's the procedure that I follow:
1. Delete agreement on machine A and B.
2. Disable the replica on machine A and B.
3. Disable the changelog on machine A and B.
4. Enable the changelog on machine A and B.
5. Enable the replica on machine A and B.
6. Create replication agreement on A and B.
7. Initialize B from A.
Problem #1:
After I follow this procedure, updates to A result in the error:

This problem still occurs even if I restart the server before Step 4.

When I assign machine A the old replicaId of machine B and assign machine B the old replicaID of machine A in Step 5, I get the following error.

For the problem #1, the error message is normal since you have actually remove the changelog. However, once you have done an initialization, Replication should work.
For the problem #2, the message is correct, because, although you have changed the ReplicaId on both server, your data still contain references to the previous replicaId both on Server A and Server B.
In general, Replica ID uniquely identify a Master in a replication topology. It should not change. The replicaID is also used in the timestamps associated with each change and they guarantee that the Replication can always distinguish 2 changes, and also can detect time synchronization issues between masters.
One way to avoid the Replica ID issue when changing ReplicaIds, is to reload the data on one server and then re-initialize the second one from the first one.

Problem with Multi Master Replication

Hello All,
I've setup a multi-master replication with no consumers. i.e i'm having 2 suppliers which should update each other. The setup seems to be fine since the initialization of one supplier by other works very fine. But i couldn't get the synchronization btwn the suppliers get worked. I noticed in the error log that the syn-scan request arrived, but ignored. What are the possibilities of this error ?

Rich, you have been a support to most of us in the group(indeed much to my help)...Its splendid work....
My problems disappeared after applying the Service pack ....the service pack in fact is mainly to sort out the replication issues.
Advice from my experience - The patch may be more than enough for most of the replication issues.
One observation - i had the replica busy error, but i didn't have to restart the replica as suggested by some of the previous threads. Seems the service pack did some fix for it.

I have downloaded the OSC and just configured the multi master replication i mean just run the folder(400) scripts. After all the scripts exec. i was monitoring the streams activity through OEM console.
i have got an error in -->streams -->propagation-->topology
ERROR : ORA-25205: the QUEUE S1ADMIN.A_QN1_DBS2TEST does not exist
and link is showing as RED culler with some error.
hub : DBS1TEST
streamsadmin: s1admin
target1 : DBS2TEST
streamsadmin: s2admin
i might be wrong while preparing the scripts. if please let me know.

I've never seen that error, but do make sure that your Replica ID's are different (that's a requirement). Also, you might consider setting up one of the masters as a hub at first, then initialize it, and then promote it. Once you've done that, you can create the replication agreement from the second host to the first one.

I am trying to implement "Multi-Master Replication", where both sites will try to act as Master, when Site1 is down the other site will take control and data will be updated at Site2 and vice-versa.
I have created REPADMIN user at both the site.

You're probably going to have to rethink this.
Even if your replication agreements are not encrypted, it is likely that your userPassword attributes are hashed. If they're not, you could just ask either master for the cleartext userPassword anyways, and no need to try to sniff it out of replication traffic.

Problem in creation of any purchasing doc against plant 0001

Hi MM Experts,
I am facing problem in creation of any purchasing doc (i.e: PR or PO) against plant 0001.This is available in the system and assigned to company code. I can create Material master with this plant 0001 and copy to create new plant. But Can't create any pur doc? also in plant list in pur doc showing the rest of the plant except plant 0001.

Note 433997 introduced a new logic for the F4 help for plants.
solution proposed in note 433997 :
To maintain the address number of a plant subsequently, startTransaction OX10 for the affected plant ('Change plants') view. Click the 'Address' pushbutton (envelope) or (shiftF5). In the subsequent screen ('Change address'), press Enter or click the 'Copy' pushbutton and save using the 'Save' pushbutton (disk) or (CtrlS).
Then the plant should have an address number and should also be displayed in the search help.
