Problem in data loading

Hello All,
I am using data source 2LIS_11_VAHDR in BI 7.0 to load data to ODS.
I am using the full upload.
When i schedule the infopackage i dont get any records.The request status is shown as running.
So i check the job in the source system.But i Saw that Job status is Released and not active.
There were some entries already present in the extraction queue.So I tried scheduling Job to move the entries from extraction queue.But this job too is showm as released and not active.
Please let me know what can be the problem.

Hi,
Check the same in extract checker.i.e RSA3 in source system. If you are geeting records then you should be able to laod the same to PSA and then to ODS. Else also you can check if the connection between 2 systems is up and running fine.

Hello Shivanjali,
Mostly UDC is used for RemoteCube to access data outside of SAP. What is your external system? Make sure that there is data in the source system.

BI accelerator: problem displaying Data Load Status

I have installed BI accelarator following the note : 934848.
The problem is when I try to monitor Data Load Status , I've this error on the portal : "Error reading the data of InfoProvider 0TCT_VC12, There is still no data source assigned to VirtualProvider 0TCT_VC12" but I've activated direct access for this virtual info prorvide to the correct source system as it is mentionned(step 5) and it is assigned to a data source (0TCT_DS12).

You're absolutely right Rajani , it's about BI Cokpit Administration.
In fact, I really activate direct access, I added the right source system in the Source System for InfoSource 3x window.

Problem in data loading in 0PM_DS05 using data source 0PM_MEASUREMENT

Hi Gurus,
I have to load data in OPM_DS05 ODS using 0PM_MEASUREMENT data source.
Now the problem what I am facing is, there is a field equipment number which was there in data source but not mapped to infoobject then I mapped that field
EQUNR(R3 field) to 0EQUIPMENT(BI infobject) after this when I try to load data error is comming and when I check the dump I understand that there is some routine written in update rules which refers master data of 0EQUIPMENT thus what I got is I have to load master data first then the ODS but when I load master data then request is not comming in the ATTRIBUTES 0EQUIPMENT.
I am using 0EQUIPMENT_ATTR data source to load data to 0EQUIPMENT.
Please help me out from the situation what should I do and also suggest whether it is necessary to load master data for 0EQUIPMENT.

Hi,
in generally it is always a good idea to load the master data first. In your case there are still some questions.
a) did you activate the master data after loading?
b) what kind of short dump are you getting while loading the transactional data?
c) what is the routine doing?
I guess your loading issues are more related to the routine than anything else.

Problem with Data load from file

Hi,
if i try to load data from an comma seperated file into oracle, i get an error that the page cannot be displayed, after the dialog where to specify the file and the separation method.
My Browser does not try long to open the page approx. 1 sec. ...
Anyone have a Idea about that ?
P.S I know my englisch is horribile, sorry

ur are trying to map a field in PSA with the dSO with diff datatype. Chk for that field and do the correct mapping.

I had made a repair load for 5 records from a source ods to target ods.After Repair load I found 3 records are correct but 2 still missing . I made again repair load but data was again missing. All the 5 records share the same conditions...Plz tell me what can be the reasons that 3 are correctly loaded and 2 could not. What Can be the solution for them???

hi,
have you chked in source ods active table for the presence of 5 records which you require.
if so do the full repair upto PSA and chk its presence in the PSA.
then load to ods and chk in new data table then activate the ods and chk
so you could findthe records where it is missing.

Update rule problem - while data load

In the forum i searched for this error and this error is something related to the start routine in my update rule.

IKM Problem While Data Loading

Hi Everyone,
I am new to ODI. And trying to change somethings in exixting ODI IKM.
I have an IKM with several steps. In a step of insert into I$ table i am encountering a problem.
Firstly you will need to know i have two different schema Temp_schema for creating temp tables and Target_schema for target tables.
And our client wants to have all temporary tables in temp_schema.
What happening over here is When i am trying to run following code it is taking correct schema that is temp_schema for odiRef.getTable("L","INT_NAME","A")%> this code.
While for <%=odiRef.getFrom(i)%> code it takes target schema.
I have specified temp_schema at steps in IKM.

Hi
Go to target physical schema and select workschema as OMPODI..Now use default LKM..Go to IKM change the step 200,210,220 to your target schema that is OMP (Not recommended).As you are giving your workschema different in your physical schema so no need to change the IKM.use the default one.

Error is data loading from 3rd party source system with DBCONNECT

Hi,
We have just finished an upgrade of SAP BW 3.10 to SAP NW 7.0 EHP1.
After the upgrade, we are facing a problem with data loads from a third party Oracle source system using DBConnect.
The connection is working OK and we can see the tables in the source system. But we cannot load the data.
The error in the monitor is as follows:
'Error message from the source system
Diagnosis
An error occurred in the source system.
System Response
Caller 09 contains an error message.
Further analysis:
The error occurred in Extractor .
Refer to the error message.'
But, unfortunately, the error message has no further information.
If we look at the job log in sm37, the job finished with the following log -

There will be three things to get the errors like this
1.RFC CONNECTION FAILED
2.CHECK THE SOURCE SYSTEM
3.CHECK IT OUT WITH Oracle Consultants WEATHER THEY ARE FILLING UP THE LOADS.TELL THEM TO STOP
4.CHECK I DOC PROCESSING
5.FINALLY MEMORY ISSUES.
6.CATCH THE DATA SOURCE FIRST CHANGE IT AND THEN ACTIVATE AND RUN THE LOAD
7.LAST IS MEMORY ISSUE.
and also Check the RFC connection in SM59 If it is ok then
check the SAP note : 692195 for authorization

IDOC RSRQST is getting stuck frequently, it leads to delay in data loading

we are using SAP R/3 4.7 E and SAP Netweaver 2004s as BI server .
On daily basis we are loading the data from R/3 to BI system . we are facing problems in data loading
IDOC RSRQST is getting stuck frequently, which leads to delay in data loading..
Please guide me to resolve this issue .

Thanks for your reply kumarsen . I have gone through the referred forum .
In my case , I have checked the TRFC, conncetivity between R/3 and BW and Job scheduled as priority C .
Still many Idocs are got stuck in R/3 [approx every 5 min once] . we are releasing the Idoc's through BD87 only .
Please suggest for some permanent solution .

Data Loading Error for cube 0TCT_C22

Dear Colleagues,
I am working on BI 7.0 / SP09.
I am loading technical content cube 0TCT_C22 from datasource 0TCT_DS22. Till PSA, there is no problem with data load. But from PSA to data target, data load fails. Went to monitor and it shows teh error "Error calling number range object 0TCTPRCSCHN for dimension D2 ( ). Message no: RSAU023".
I tried to find the SAP notes fro this, but no success. Also checked the Dump and application logs, but nothing is there.
Please advice ASAP.

I just solved the very similar issue. Try what I did to see if it works for you. For each dimension in each Infocube a number range is created. For some weird reason during the activation of the Infocube the number range for the dimension giving troubles was not created. Look for it in TCODE SNRO and you should find a number range per each dimension in the cube but the one giving you error.
To solve it, (the easiest way I found) just add any characteristic to the problematic dimension. Activate the Infocube. After that, modify again you Infocube and remove the characteristic you just added to leave the dimension how you need it. Activate the Infocube again. By doing that you will force the regeneration of the dimension and with it the number range. You can chek in TCODE SNRO and the number range should be there. Try loading your data again and it should work.
One thing I don't understand is why that number range sometimes is not created during activation

Data load in ODS

I am trying to load data into an ODS from a flat file. The request for data load is successfull (in green) but not activated. In monitor, it is in yellow status. And, in sm37, the job for this request is cancelled. Data is there in PSA. Can anyone please tell whats the problem and how to correct it???

There is no log for the job. Actually, there is some problem in data loading itself.
In the details tab of monitor, getting following messages:
Requests (messages): Everything OK
Extraction (messages): Errors occurred
Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Missing messages or warnings
Processing (data packet): Everything OK
Subseq. processing (messages) : Missing messages
ODS activation (change-log) : not yet activated

i have problem with data load,where for 12th month i dont have any actual data(related to finance) in r/3 but when i saw in cube i have data,i dont know how the data is coming from r/3 without any actual data.if so how can i check whether that data come from r/3 or some other place and if i found that how can i delete that data ,from where should i delete that data.please help to solve this issue

Hi,
If there is data in Infocube, there should be request. use content of data target option in manage and select the any one data record which is in scope and find the request number. by using this find the same request in Request tab of manage infocube. click on monitor symbol in that selected request, which take you to monitor screen where you can find the source system and which IP, and DataSource used in uploading.
if there is no ALE scenario in your system landscape then there is no possibilities of missing data in R/3 and BW. so check once again the data flow and availability.

Data load problem - BW and Source System on the same AS

Hi experts,
Im starting with BW (7.0) in a sandbox environment where BW and the source system are installed on the same server (same AS). The source system is the SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) 5.0.
BW is working on client 001 while SRM is on client 100 and I want to load data from the SRM into BW.
Ive configured the RFC connections and the BWREMOTE users with their corresponding profiles in both clients, added a SAP source system (named SRMCLNT100), installed SRM Business Content, replicated the data sources from this source system and everything worked fine.
Now I want to load data from SRM (client 100) into BW (client 001) using standard data sources and extractors. To do this, Ive created an InfoPackage in one standard metadata data source (with data, checked through RSA3 on client 100 source system). Ive started the data load process, but the monitor says that no Idocs arrived from the source system and keeps the status yellow forever.

I didn't see any reason why it's not bringing. Are you doing full extraction or Delta. If delta extraction please check the extractor is delta enabled or not. Some times this may cause problems.
