Problem in Data Upload

Hai Guys,
I am facing one problem when i am uploading data.
Now only we have created R3 production source system.
In the R3 system datasource having data.
But when i am uploading the data in BW system, it is giving only 0 records.
Any settings is missing?
One more thing, in IDES machine it is working fine.
Please give some inputs.

This a question for all the people watching this thread. Looking at the problem Vivek is having, Do you guys think, that Initializing data on R/3 side could be a problem. I mean Filling up set up tables before the data load. Well I am not sure what table does RSA3 Checker hits because he can see data there. So just wondering whether Vivek has to re-Initialize the set up table and start again?...
Vivek I am novice to BW too, just trying to help you, dont mind if my inputs are not valuable. Hope I am not misleading you.

using XK15 t-code and SALES DEAL is the major concern.
1) First i used RV14 BTCI , that is a standard report for uploading the pricing conditions. But by using this all fields are updating except SALES DEAL becoz this is not present in the structures (like- BKOND-1, BKOND-2, BKOND-3 etc) that is used in RV14BTCI program. I searched other structures also but SALES DEAL is not present there.
2) Second i tried to find out some Function module that is containg SALES DEAL and i found two FMs - IDOC_INPUT_COND_A and BAPI_PRICES_CONDITIONS.....but
a) the FM - IDOC_INPUT_COND_A is used with ALE and where third party is involved, so we require control data and status data for this I dont have this. so we cant use it.
b) and the FM BAPI_PRICES_CONDITIONS is also not working for SALES DEAL....by using this it is also not uploaded becoz some mandatory information related to sales deal like- sales organisation, distribution channel are not present in this FM.
3) to upload this we can use the BDC recording method.....but the problem is - there are almost 15 condition types and based on these conditions almost 20 - 25 condition tables are there for every condition and based on the every table different screen sequence are there.....so if we go for BDC recording...than we have to make 325 recordings.....also not feasible solution.
so plz give the suggestions for this problem and check my efforts also may be i missed something that can be a solution.

Goto RSA3 trans in the source system. Check if are able to extract the data.
If so then replicate the DS once in BW system. Activate all the DS, transfer rules etc & try to load it again.

Problem in Data Uploading in PR05...

I am trying to modify some data in Transaction PR05 using FM
PTRA_WEB_EXPENSE_REPORT_SAVE_2 but i am unable to do that, I tried debugging the PR05 and notice that there
is module in standard program which process on value request for entering sum schema but i am passing that schema manually in my program, that means screen needs an input there,
So is there any way through which i can skip this part and provide this value through my own developed program.????

Data upload problem in delta update from 1st ODS to 2nd ODS

Dear Friends,
I am loading data from one ODS to another. The update mode was full upload. Sometime back an error occurred in activation of the first ODS. The error was: Full updates already available in ODS ,Cannot update init./delta. So currently daily records are pulled but not added i.e. transferred recs = 4000 but added recs = 0.
When I looked for a solution in SDN I found that using program RSSM_SET_REPAIR_FULL_FLAG for 2nd ODS will reset all full uploads to Repair Full Request which I have already done for 2nd ODS. Then initialize once and pull delta.
But problem is that I cannot set update mode to delta as I am pulling some 80,000 records in 2nd ODS from 1st ODS with around 14 lacs records daily based on some data-selection filters in infopkg. But do not see any parameters for data-selction in delta mode.
Please suggest.

Dear Sirs,
Due to this error in activation in 2nd ODS daily data upload is failing in 1st ODS.
To correct this I converted all full upload requests in 2nd ODS to Repair full requests.
But now when I scheduled the infopkg today with full upload again data was transferred but not added.
I know I cannot have init./ delta so what possibly can now be done in this scenario. Please help.

If you are actually creating a BDC to load data pls be more specific.
Data format incorrect. Tab delimited/ etc
Dates in wrong formats
Currency incorrect formats
Missing screens
Wrong transaction code
File not found,
Missing Mandatory fields,
Screen resoultion.
You should always use refresh for your Bdcdata table.
Loop at internal table.
refresh Bdcdata.

Data upload problem

 Now I face the problem as follow:
 1.The delta upload can not run automatic finished.I can find some course in SM58,How to solve this problem? Can you give me some helps?
 2.When I delta upload,system message like this:
Processing in Warehouse timed out; processing steps mising
Diagnosis
Processing the request in the BW system is taking a long time and the processing step Second step in the update has still not been executed.
System response
<DS:DE.RSCALLER>Caller is still missing.
Procedure
Check in the process overview in the BW system whether processes are running in the BW system under the background user.
If this is not the case, check the short dump overview in the BW system.
 What is wrong with the data upload and how to solve it? Can you give me some advice?

Hi Zagory,
I think at the time of this particular job starting there are other jobs running with Background User Owner or there might be other background jobs running with Priority A . SO try to reschedule the JOb at some later point in time where system is less busy ......or one more option is to try to increase the System Dialog run Time in RZ10 transaction ...Ask ur basis team they will do for you ...
But try first option first......

Special character '#' ODS data upload

Hi experts!!
I have to load R/3 data from PSA to ODS. I have found problems during data load with 0postxt field (description field) because in several FI documents there is '#' inside the text field, for example: "COMPANY X FOR # SALES".
The PSA is upload fine but when the system tries to activate ODS data, it gives me an error in this register.
I have checked RSKC transaction and it is defined '#' character as a permited character:
ÇÉÀÇÊÈÏÌÅÉÒÙÁÍÓÚÑÑÈÍÌÓÒÚÙÉÈÍÌÓÒÚÙ·.'#
What else can I check?

Hi,
It may not be because of that.
SID error comes during activation of ODS because the related MD is not available for assigning SIDs.
Whenever Master Data is loaded SID's are generated for those Master Data records.
Now when you load Transaction Data these SID's will be used (for the records which use above master data values). This results in performance gain.
If Transaction Data is loaded first than the system checks for SID's. If they are not available system generate SID's. This results in a loss of performance.
Now in the case if you don't have the setting selected (Further Processing Without Master Data/Always update data, even if no master data exists for the data) system will throw error No Sids found and load will terminate.
So as a first step ensure that the related master data is loaded and Attribute change run has been triggered.
OR
Load the MD and Activate the MD (Modeling > InfoObject > Search the Infoobject > Right click > Activate Master Data)
Once you perform this you can retrigger the activation. It should work fine.
Else as a workaround you can blank out these particular values and activate.
There is also one more workaround wherein you can create the Master data entries directly in BW itself. But both the above step should be done after consulting Business and considering data volume that needs to be edited/created.
In most case once you perform the loading and activation of MD your activation should work fine when repeated.
OR
In the infopackage goto Update Tab and make the setting Update the records even if no master data exist and reload
This may work.
Try Searching in SDN for this Topic and you will find much detailed info as this is discussed very frequently.

DTW Problem - Business Partner Upload

HI everyone,
I have a question regarding the upload of business partner in the DTW. I am using two templates the Business Partner and the Business Partner Address. After the upload process, only the first record has been successfully uploaded according to the LOG File and the succeeding record has an error.
"An account with the same code already exists.(OCRD.Cardcode). '200002'Application defined or object defined error 65171".
But when I look into the database no record has been added. I see to it that the Test Run box is also unchecked.
What seems to be the problem?

Here's the sample data that we used during upload. Only the first record has been uploaded successfully according to the Log File but when we try to see the database, there was no data uploaded even if we unchecked the Test Run.

Problem in data transfer from R3 to BW in HR cube

Hello Gurus,
I am facing one problem when i am uploading data in HR Cube Qualification (0PAPD_C01).
When i am uploading from R3 to BW it is giving 0 records. Also it is giving green signal.
But in my R3 extractor, 7,350 records is available.
Same connection, i did data upload for FI and Sales.
Everything is working fine.
Even in HR, the other functionalities like
Headcount and Personnel Actions and
Applications and Applicant Actions
are working fine. Only Qualification is giving problem.
I have replicated and activated properly for Qualification info source.
Monitor Details:
No data available
Diagnosis
The data request was a full update.
In this case, the corresponding table in the source system does not
contain any data.
System response
Info IDoc received with status 8.
Procedure
Check the data basis in the source system.
Can any one give your help? Any special settings i have to do for Qualificaiton?

Hi Vivek,
There is no special process for this cube load. Just check the job log and check for any short dump in R/3 while running the extractor.
I checked the datasource help link for this cube but there is nothing special mentioned:

This is a scam. Do not phone these people, at best they will charge you for unnecessary 'cleaning' and at worst they will gain access to your Mac and steal your data. BW upgrade EHP1, data uploads should stop?

Dear experts,
we have plan for system upgrade. current system is BW 7.0 sp 17, Now planned for EHP1 and SP9.
I know the there some post upgrade activities, which include consistancy check for objects (infoobject, transfer rules, cubes,dso, etc...)
Could some one pls confirm, do we need to stop the data uploads/stop process chains during system upgrade?

Problem with date format using TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP

I'm using fm TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP to upload an xls file.
I've the following problem the date in the spreadsheet is 01.01.2010 the result in the internal table after using the fm is 01.jan.2010. What must i do to get 01.01.2010 in the internal table?
My setting in sap for the date format is DD.MM.YYYY

What is type and size of your internal table field? Covert your excel column to text field. Now it is of type date i hope.
Best option is, always have the value in excel in YYYYMMDD (SAP standard format) and internal table field as of type sy-datum.
After uploading use WRITE TO statement to a character variable to convert the date as per user settings. Your current logic may not work if the date setting is different.
