Problem in Deployment
I have a problem in the deployment of applications in managed server which was
started by the Admin Server via Node Manager.

At the ManagedServer machine, the class is probably loaded but the version is the
correct one. Try to make sure you are using the same wl related jar files at both
Admin and Managed servers.
Also make sure your ear,jar and war files are of the same version.

Problem while deploying new logon screen par file via NWDS
hi
i have a problem with deploying .par files out of the NWDS.
i want to change the look of the logon screen in our EP Portal (SAP NetWeaver 2004s).
when i just import the (working one) par file into NWDS and deploy it without ANY changes i get then an error when trying to call the portal:
instead of the logonscreen i get some IView error (like IView: N/A).
if i just copy the par file, and put it back to the pcd, everything works fine.
my problem seems to be the "compiling/deploying" via NWDS.
any suggestions?
i followed the guide:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/23/c0e240beb0702ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm
i followed also the BLOG:
Modifying The Logon Par(or customising the Logon Screen)
and the help:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/23/c0e240beb0702ae10000000a155106/content.htm
thanks for your help.
markusMarkus,
If you import the par file using NWDS, most likely you wouldn't import the associated jar files (I think 2 jars) that are originally part of the par file. So, when you make changes and update your custom jar, it would lack the two jars and your application would fail. Try downloading the par file using System Administration -> Support -> PCD Administration -> Browse Deployment..
Save the jar file on desktop and then import it to NWDS.
Hope this helps,

Problems with deployment in 6.1 on tru64
Hi,
We are having problems with deployment of web applications in 6.1. We are running
cluster ( 2 managed servers ) .The problem is that every time we restart the admin
and managed servers, none of our application gets loaded and deployed. In the
console, application looks ok i.e. targtes are listed and application is deployed
but actually the application is not loaded and does not work. If I go and deploy/redploy
the app , it works fine but again after every restart of the servers, application
does not get loaded.
Any idea. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Manoj
Kumar,
I do not see applicaitons being loaded and deployed at the time of server startup.
In config.xml everything looks ok.

Problem while deploying entity beans
Hi,
We are using JDeveloper 3.2.2 (NT) and 8.1.7 (NT) to deploy EJB's.
Now we are trying to deploy the entity bean to Oracle JVM. We are facing the following problem while deploying an entity bean .
"Persistence provider declared in the deployment descriptor is not supported
*** Errors occurred while deploying the EJB to 8i JVM ***
*** Deployment completed ***"
We would appreciate if anyone could help us to solve this error.
nullHi,
The error was coming because of the table structure. All the columns were composite keys. I alter the structured by removing composite keys and added a new column as primary key. Now it is getting deployed successfully.
Can anybody comment on such a behaviour of OC4J?

Problem while deploying WD application thru SDM
Hi friends ,facing problem while deploying webdynpro application on SDM.It takes much time deployment but for the past 1 or 2 day its not working properly ..i..e error is coming while deploying WD application................................................"Cannot login to the SAP J2EE Engine using user and password as provided in the Filesystem Secure Store. Enter valid login information in the Filesystem Secure Store using the SAP J2EE Engine Config Tool. For more information, see SAP note 701654.."
If how know how to resolve this then waiting for ur response..
Thanx in advance
HanifHi Hanif,
The SDM password should be reset if it is not the same as mentioned in your Filesystem Secure Store or vice versa.
If you have changed your administrator password, kindly do change the same in secure store as well via the config tool.
Use the Config Tool to change the entry in secure storage as follows:
1. Start the Config Tool.
(Go to <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<instance>\j2ee\configtool --> configtool.bat.)
2. Select the secure store node.
The configuration for the secure storage in the file system appears.
3. Select the admin/password/<SID> entry.
4. Enter the administrator user's new password in the "Value" field and choose "Add".
5. Choose "File" --> "Apply" to save the data.
Note: Contrary to the message that appears, you do not need to restart the server or cluster for this change to take effect.
6. Finally restart SDM server.

6.0.6.0_PDK_BP for EP 6.0 Sp2 Problem to deploy
Greetings,
i have a problem to deploy the PDK 6.0.6 with the SDM tool. It throws a message like:
"WebDynpro_Eventing.ear is not a .sca file ..."
I heared somewhere, that i have to delpoy "Webdynpro" on my J2EE Engine, on which the portal runs.
Where can I get these "Webdynpro" component?
Or do i have to do something else?
Thank you for your help?
Nils KlothHello Gregor,
thank you for your help.
This is because the PDK SP 6 needs a WAS 6.40 with the Webdynpro Technology?
So we have an Portal 6. Sp2 on a WAS 6.2 .Is there a possiblity to update the WAS to 6.4 without a new installation of the portal? It doesn't need to be save method, because this is only a testserver for my diploma work.
Or do i have do update the portal and not the WAS?
Thank you for your help

Regards,
DhanaHi,
Thanks for your input..
I have also opend the EAR as ZIP file and deleted the existing listing libaries
apart from the actual implementing Jar and META-INF folder.
I have tried deploying the Jar for the second time, it is throwing the same error.
What I did is...Once the EAR is created, I went to Resource perspective in NWDS and copied the EAR from the EAR project and used the same for deployment.
Is there is anything else to be modified or deleted before deployement?

Problem creating deployment weblogic 5.1
I have weblogic 5.1 running on Win2K. I can start it up without
problems when the deployment part is commented out.
The jdbc connection seems to be working with a Oracle 8.1.7
running on the same Win2K box.
When I try to deploy some EJBs I get this error on startup:

at samples.test.ejb.TestEJB.getGreeting(TestEJB.java:51)Hi,
I think you are trying to test the Hello world EJB example shipped with the product. As a first
step I would recomend you to go through every line of the document on deploying this application,
since, I too have experienced many errors while trying to deploy the sample applications, but on
following the documentation, I subsequently overcame all the errors and have been working with the
applications. So please follow the steps in documentation and let me know, if you still encounter any
issues.

I don´t know what to do in this case, please help me. The application starts, but when i do something that use the remote objects, nothing is return.Do you have an appropriate SSL cert installed on the server? Does it work if you view the page using https (shouldnt be needed if you have an SSL cert)? Does it work in other browsers like FireFox? What does your crossdomain.xml look like?
I had a similar issue once with IE, but not FireFox. Viewing the page as https solved it, and then later installing an SSL cert on the server eliminated that requirement.
Note: I didn't read your services config, but I assume it's good since it works on localhost. -
