Problem in Depreciation through AFAB

Hi All,
I am getting problem in running Dep through AFAB.
I am able to see the result in Test run, but not able to run the same in production mode.
Error is" Asset selections only allowed in repeat run"
Please help me

Unplanned Depreciation
Ordinary depreciation reflects the deduction for wear and tear during the normal use of the asset. But the unusual influences, such as damage which leads to a permanent decrease in the value of the asset, are covered by unplanned depreciation.
Ordinary Depreciation
Ordinary depreciation is actually the planned depreciation/deduction for wear and tear during normal use of an asset.

Hi,
I hv uploaded asset balances as on 31.03.07 (FY2006) and closed the period . Subsequently, while trying to execute depreciation run in 2007 (period 1) system is giving error " year 2006 is not closed"
while trying to run afab for period 12 in 2006 msg being thrown is " yr 2006 is closed".
Can anyone give solution to this.
we r i ECC 5.0 , but hv not activated document splitting.

Pls goto OB52 and open the previous period. then try dep run.
after dep run again change period close back to normal.
during this period change do not post any finacncial entries.

Reverse the planned depreciation posted through AFAB

Hello Experts,
Kindly give me the solution to reverse the posted depreciation through AFAB ASAP.
Our financial year is January to December.
We want to reverse the depreciation posted for the month of 03,2011

You can use one process as mentioned below
Step 1: Create a Depreciation Key having Zero as depreciation percentage
Step 2 : Assign that Depreciation Key into Asset Master
Step 3: Then go to Depreceiation TCode AFAB & Select the Repeat Run Radio Button for the selected Asset
Step 4: Run the Depreciation
Hope through this process you can solve your problems

Problem with depreciation posting for an asset with a '0' net book value.

Hi,
I have a problem with depreciation posting on one asset. I think it should not be calculated and posted at all.
On 1st November 2010 (our Fiscal year starts on 1st November) there was acquisition posted to an asset and then it was reversed on the same day - so the net book value was '0'.
In AFAB depreciation run for April 2011 - it posted depreciatoion of 0.01 Euro, so now the book value is -0.01.
Do you know how this could have happened and what can I do to get the value of this asset back to 0?

Thank you for your reply.
I just have one doubt - as depreciation of 0.01 Eur was posted in previous period leaving net value of asset equal to -0.01 Eur.
Shouldn't I get ritd of this asset value before I proceed with the steps you suggested?
I think it is not possible to reverse the depreciation - so I struggle to find a way to bring asset value back to zero.

DEpreciation in AFAB

I uploaded the assets lasr dec.28,2008. Then i closed the asset fiscal year and carryforward the balances. Now, I want to run the depreciation in AFAB, but I can generate anything.
T E S T R U N was terminated Refer to the error log
No documents were created in this run .
I need to have the depreciation posted to have my balances accurate, Please help me gurus.

Have u done the acquisition posting for the year 2009? please check.
I was encoutering the same problem (depreciation run results - no records selected - eventhough there are no errors), but when i did F-90 acq.posting for the asset created, I was encontered with error" You cannot post to asset in company code fiscal year 2009" - diagnosis: "A fiscal year change has not yet been performed in Asset accounting for the company code"
Then I run AJRW - Asset fiscal year change with year 2009 - removing Test run - after that I executed AFAB - depreciation run , system responded with posting details , hence I could post depreciation successfuly.
Hence please try the below:
1. check with posting F-90 with asset created in year 2009 - ensure the above error..
2. If system insists for a asset acct year change, do with AJRW
3. run AFAB
Please revert in case of further issues...

Problem while printing through citrix

Dear Gurus ,
We are facing the problem during printing through citrix .
When we print locally without using citrix were able to get the proper print as it displayed in the spool .
But When we try to take the printout of document having say 12 colum , only 10 colums r coming asthe print out .

Depreciation posting AFAB - status canceled

Hi,
I run Depreciation posting AFAB as test run. Processing completed without errors.
Next I run AFAB .I have diagnosis
u201CThe last posting run in period 010 2009 was terminated by an error.
Before any more posting runs are performed, you must restart the posting
run for period 010 2009u201D
Next I executed AFAB using the Restart parameter. Process has again statusu201Dcanceledu201D.
In Job Log is written u201CLine item 001 already exists in document Company Code 10001111 2009u201D
I add, I executed change the year AJRW before them

Last posting run terminated (Restart in period 2009 010)
    Message no. AA730
Diagnosis
    The last posting run in period 010 2009 was terminated by an error.
    Before any more posting runs are performed, you must restart the posting
    run for period 010 2009.
Procedure
    Start the posting run for period 010 2009 again using the restart
    parameter.

Problem with "Pass Through Chapters" Theme

I was searching old post to get some help and this one help a little but there was still one problem unanswered. I have highlighted in red;

My smaller text which appears in white says Scenes 1-6. The pass through text which is larger and has a different image in it says "Pass Through Chapters" and it rolls by while the smaller text stays put. I notice the image that shows through the pass through text is the same image I set on the main DVD screen. On that one my name of my disc roll past in giant see through letters. I like that but I just don't want that same effect on my chapters screens.
Can the image behind the rolling text be changed to the current window and not the main menu image?

Thanks for the tip and figured out to delete my "Scenes 1-6" that was automatically created when, in iMovie, I shared the movie to iDVD with chapters. The menu title text block doesn't like cut/paste and I had to retype the "Scenes 1-6" text for the motion/peek-through scrolling text to refresh.
Hmmm, but how tricky is that and where is it mentioned in the help/faq files etc?

Error in Depreciation Run - AFAB

Hi All,
When i run the depreciation posting(AFAB), except one document others got posted.The error document says that it cant be posted as it is blocked by other user.
Depreciation documents are generated automatically by the system during the batch processing and how can it be blocked?
Plz help me out in this .

Hi,
To check which master data is blocked go to the session of AFAB and select the programme and go to the Job Log button in SM37 transaction code which will give the list of the error and who has blocked it.

Testrun error in posting depreciation run (AFAB)

I got testrun error when I posting depreciation run (AFAB) so I have checked acc.dep as technical massage everything look find. I think it need more config in somewhere. Anyone please suggest me how to fix this.
Account 'Acc.dep. accnt.for ordinary depreciation' could not be found.
     Message no. AU133
Diagnosis
     When creating the accounting document, the system could not find account
     'Acc.dep. accnt.for ordinary depreciation' for company code CC00.
Procedure
     Enter this account in the account determination for Asset Accounting.
