Problem in downloading Desktop Software for PC
Hi , got my new BB 9300 last week. i tried to download the DS for PC ( windows XP) but it is showing some error . any help please thanks

If unfortunately your 5800XM is a network branded version and v60.0.003 has not been released via FOTA or Nokia/Ovi Suite there is not a lot any one can do to help you.

Can someone help. I have synchronization problem with my contact in the Outlook for Mac using blackberry desktop software for mac. Seems all details in my blackberry handheld contact got synchronized, but not email addresses (so all names, jobs, companies, work phone, mobile - all got synchronized, but not email addresses). All data is in my handheld. I wish I could just "replace" (not merge/sync) outlook contact with all contact in the handheld but seems there is no option to do that. Dear respected community members, I have and still love my old BB Bold 9780, but alas do not have a desktop software for it, while for an older one the Curve 8520, I could completely download. Cannot Download Desktop Software for PC - 404 Error!
Hi All - I have tried to use the Feedback option for the Web Admin but my emails keep bouncing because the RIM system seems to think my feedback does not fit via email. So, here is the message I was trying to send in to RIM to help get to the bottom of this. Anyone feel free to pipe up and let me know what is going on or offer some suggestions... Interesting...well, I am downloading it right now with no 404, which would I think rule out a problem at the RIM webisite end. So, the only thing I can think of is that there is something in your internet routing that is somehow blocking it. Maybe you should start over from this point:

I was also going to comment that RIM does not yet support Desktop Software 7.x, but that seems to have changed sometime today!

Cannot Download Desktop Software for PC on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
I just got a Bold 9900 and tried to download the desktop software so I could copy my contacts to my BB but I can't download the software. Windows Internet explorer says it isnot compatible with my system, Safari says it is not compatible with 64 bit operating system. Somebody please help!
Haven't got a solution, but want to see if I've got same problem- got 9300; windows 7 (tried download on both ultimate and premium)- keeps saying download unsafe- currpted

Error when trying to download Desktop Software for my 8700g
Hi Folks,
I am new to blackberry and these forums.
I have a 8700g. I am trying to download the 4.2 desktop software and after filling up the form i get this error.
You don't have permission to access "http://swdownload-us.rim.com.edgesuite.net/swdownloads/Desktop%20Software%20v4.2%20SP2%20(English).exe?" on this server.
Not sure wht could be the reason. Any inputs are welcome.

However, that brings me to another question. I can download OS 4.5 but then I will need the same version for my phone. How can I upgrade it ? I have an unlocked phone from T-Mobile.
As last time my phone had 4.2 and the desktop software was 4.1 it crashed the blackberry's software and i had to re-install. On T-Mobile site I did not find the 4.5 version for my 8700. I would however like to upgrade without the hassle of re-installing the entire thing again.

You can update your Desktop Manager to 4.5 or 4.6. You don't need to update your software on the Blackberry Handheld. Only if you want to use the newer features of the 4.5.0.81 which will work on the 8700g. If your carrier has not published the 4.5 Handheld OS, remember you will not get any support if you need to call your carriers Helpdesk and are running an OS that is currently not supported.

Can't download Desktop Software for windows
I had installed Desktop Software v.7.0 a few months ago but it kept freezing when syncing wiht my BB Curve 8300, so I decided to disinstall it and try to re-install.
Now each time I try to install the software from RIM website https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22the the process stops because it claims that there is a previous version installed on my pc and it cannot be overrun. I can't find any file from DS V7.0 in my computer and I need a Desktop Software!!!Hello timamagi,

Where to find desktop software for Tungsten E to download on new Macbook Pro OSX
Am replacing PC with MacBook Pro OSX and need to download desktop software for Tungsten E into Mac. Only see it available for Tungstgen E1. Will that work on E?

You may need to do a clean uninstall but I would try a simple uninstall and reinstall of Palm software on your PC first. Be sure your device is disconnected from your computer for this process. Open your Control Panel on your PC and then go to Add/ Remove Programs. Remove the Palm (or PalmOne software). Once that is done go to http://www.palm.com/us/support/palmdesktop.html to download and install Palm Desktop.
Hopefully this resolves the issue but if it doesn't let me know. Also, contact me if you have any further questions or concerns about anything.

Why can't I update my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1? Every time I try it gets all the way done downloading it; however when it's processing the file the page tells me "There is a problem downloading the software for the iPhone. Network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active. or try again later." and next to the file it has err = -3259. I have tried this 17 times and it won't work. My iTunes is completely up to date. I have made sure that my connection is fine and I have tried turning my firewall off with no avail. This has happened to me before but usually the update will go through after 2-3 tries, never to this extent. I don't know what to do. Help!

I have an old iPhone 3Gs with software version 4.3.5, I am trying to use it again, and it works fine, but I have not been able to update the software. Every time I try, I get the following message:

Besides that, all the other functions work properly, even synchronize apps and library.

RamYou couldn't go back to 5.0.1 even if you wanted to, it would have to be 5.1.1 but if you had a signed copy of the iOS 6 beta on your iPhone I don't believe you can go back.
You can try Google to see if you can find a workaround. Despite the map issue, if you are a developer don't you need the Beta on your iPhone? -
