Problem in downloading extension
i have tried to download the archieve of 'java wireless extension' 10g of JDeveloper(file namely jwe.zip).
the working link for download was
http://otn.oracle.com/tech/wireless/tools/jwe/jwe.zip
even after several tries when i come with the downloaded product. it is always crupt...
why it is happening..............the archieve is by default crupt?????????
also i have tried it from update option inside the help of jdeveloper 9i version....it also says in the mid of download "archieve is corrupt contact administrator at oracle"

I just tried the link for the file you specified and it downloaded perfectly.
Can you check the file size you get is it 23.9M?
A problem I've seem with some browsers is that if the temp directory doesn't have enough space they cut the file that they download.

I've tried to run the java tutorial download extension's example but without success.
I've compiled the two java files and put the class files into their respective jar file.
- The two jar files are in the same directory (AreaApplet.jar and RectangleArea.jar).
- The AreaApplet.jar's manifest is :

I can give you the steps I follow.
In an empty directory (all the files are in the same) :
- I put the two classes in the files : RectangleArea.java and AreaApplet.java
- I compile the two classes with this command line :
c:\jdk1.3.1_01\bin\javac AreaApplet.java RectangleArea.java
- I make the jar files with these command lines :
c:\jdk1.3.1_01\bin\jar cf RectangleArea.jar RectangleArea.class
c:\jdk1.3.1_01\bin\jar cmf manifest.txt AreaApplet.jar AreaApplet.class
manifext.txt :
Class-Path: RectangleArea.jar <Enter>
- I make a basic html file with this applet tag :
<applet name=test code=AreaApplet.class archive=AreaApplet.jar width=200 height=100>
</applet>
- I delete these files : RectangleArea.class and AreaApplet.class
- I run my html file and I have : ClassNotFoundException : RectangleArea
But it runs correctly with the applet viewer :
c:\jdk1.3.1_01\bin\java -verbose sun.applet.AppletViewer test.html
Is it possible that a wrong system CLASSPATH can cause this error ?

On YouTube, when more than one video have been played, staying on the same page, videos aivalable for download, by any Firefox Download Extension as Downloader Helper, Flash Video Downloader or 1 Click Video Download, are the format options for the first video opened in the tab, and not format options for the video actually playing.
I have tried resetting Firefox ( Firefox menu : ? \ Troubleshooting Information \ Reset Firefox), and reinstall Videos Downloaders (without Adblock Plus that I normally use), it did not solve the problem.
Temporary Solution :
Refreshing the http://www.youtube.com/... page ( by hitting the round arrow at the right of the adress bar ) allows me to update the download features but it is annoying as it restarts the playback every time I decide to download a video ( so is it having to remember to refresh the page ).
I am surprised it seems no one have experience and solved this problem yet.

I`ve restarted my macbook, checked the wifi (webpages still load), and downloaded the extensions from the developer`s websites. When I download the extensions this way they supposedly install but yet I've yet to see them actually work. (Ultimate Status Bar doesn't appear in links, News Ticker doesn't show news, etc.) I know I probably installed too many, too fast. I uninstalled all my previous extensions and the problem still persists.
I've tried installing the same extensions on my iMac and they work perfectly. What can I do??

Downloading extensions from the internet instead of the Safari gallery may not be a safe thing to do anyway. I downloaded the file from here > http://ultimatestatusbar.com/ then a dialog asked if I wanted to download from the internet. I for one never download extensions except from the gallery.
I found it in the gallery > https://extensions.apple.com/
Try downloading from there instead. That will download the file to your Downloads folder. Double click the file to install.

Problem with downloading 2007 formats
I have a problem with downloading 2007 format files in my application. We can upload the 2007 formats without any problem. But, When we try to download them, we are receiving a 'Page cannot be displayed' error.
When we add the corresponding MIME-TYPES into IIS(Version 6.0) of the system(Test Environment), the problem got resolved. But there was a constraint to add the MIME-TYPES in the Production Box.
Can you please provide any alternate solution using CF code. I am pasting my sample code that my system is using for this.For CF to set the MIME type for those files, it would have to be configured as a handler for those file extensions. By default, CF doesn't process requests for files other than .cfm, .cfc, etc.
You could write a download application that uses CFCONTENT to push files to the client, but the user would have to request your CF page, which might have a URL like this:
http://yourserver/download.cfm?file=myfile.docx
Or, you could map those file extensions to CF, but that would be a bad idea for several reasons. Even if it wasn't a bad idea, it would be harder to change on the server than the MIME types in IIS.
Frankly, you should fix this the right way - by having the server administrator add the correct MIME types.

Problems with Downloading BI Reports to Excel in Office 2007
Hi,
I've created reports using the BI Publisher plugin for Word 2007 and deployed these through Apex. Users that have Office 2003 installed get to download the file without any compatibility issues. Those users on Office 2007 get a warning as follows:
"The file you are trying to open. 'filename.xls' , is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now? "
The file will open and save, it's just annoying getting this message each time. There aren't any problems when downloading the report in other formats.This is a known issue.. It is a "Fix" from Microsoft, to make sure folks know that the file is NOT a true Blue XLS style file.. My office just went through this and it can be adjusted, but involves a registry setting that they DID NOT want to impliment..

I'm having a problem with Download! on my N78 (sw v. 12.046). I can open Download but it freezes, and I also can't download any applications. When Download! freezes, my only option to shut it down is to boot the phone..I can switch to other open applications but Download! is freezed. This is giving me hard time, can't install any applications. Any help or ideas? Anyone else having this problem?
Backup your data, and try doing a soft reset. *#7370#, (use this code at your own risk, since it deletes some important data's in your phone memory, including the data of installed applications on phone memory - means if you installed a java file to your card, it stores some data in your phone memory which will be deleted when you soft reset. So you will have to reinstall that software)

Triple click anywhere in the line below to select it and press Ctrl+C to copy it.
cmd /k netsh winsock reset
Press the WinLogoKey+R to open the run dialog, then Ctrl+V to paste, then press enter/return.
You should get something similar to this:
Reboot the computer and the problem should be resolved.
If it doesn't work then perhaps a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes will fix things. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details.

transfer ONLY the absolute important databases from the left to the right(address, cal, phone logs, messages, sms, tasks, memo)... dont do any that you dont know and dont do any OPTIONS ones

I am trying to update my phone so I can save my info on my old phone & get a new phone, but I get a error that says "There was a problem with downloading teh software, the network connection timed out.." HELP! Not sure what my settings shoud be...

I am facing the problem on downloading apps from Mac App Store, when I try to install the application from App store, I am getting an error message "Status_Code_Error" while click on "Login"
Same problem here in Brazil.
It seems to be a problem with logging in App Store in the Mac (Yosemite 10.10.2).
When I tried the very same userid and password I was able to login in to use my iCloud account from the same computer and also from my iPhone. -

Japanese character problem while downloading file to application server

We are facing a strange problem while downloading a file to application server when file contains japanese text.
We are downloading vendor and customer information in a flat file format on application server. When the login language is EN program show ouput in a properly formatted manner.
When the login language is JA (japanese) program does download file with customer vendor data. I can see the description is japanese language but the formatting is gone for a toss.
We are facing similar issue with other programs downloading files on the application server.
I am using OPEN DATASET........ENCODING DEFAULT. and working on unicode enabaled ECC 6.0 system

Sometimes this also happens because of your desktop setting.Make sure that your OS also supports the JAPANESSE language.
Ask your technical support team to enable them in your desktop.

Good morning,
Here is how I have solved this problem.
1. The select statement in the sql for the report should not include the BLOB column. I decided to select only 2 columns, the column that has the key and the column with the filename.
2. On the first column ( the primary key ) I put in the format statement that was simply DOWNLOAD:TABLENAME:BLOB_COLUMN:PRIMARY_KEY
This works. I believe that the Oracle error I was getting was because I was trying to apply this format statement to the actual BLOB column.
So, it appears that you can use any of the columns in the report to hold the DOWNLOAD format statement since in the format statement, you are defining the BLOB table, BLOB column and the primary key into that column.
