Problem in Flash Professional CS3!

First of all, Hello to everyone, I'm new to animating and even to forums.
So, the problem(s) continues... I am having 2 problems!
1. When I import a PNG file to Library in Flash, it converts it into symbol automatically but it is naming it like "Symbol 1", "Symbol 2" etc.. instead of having the name of the PNG file.
2. When I edit a file in Library (for e.g. 'Allow Smoothing'), and I go to 'Edit' menu, I don't get an option like 'Repeat Bitmap Properties' and it is giving an option like 'Repeat Select None'..
But on an other PC, when I am doing the same, I get the option 'Repeat Bitmap Properties'. It's the problem only in my Laptop.
I think when I go to Edit menu, my files in the library gets deselected. So, if anyone can help, Please help me..!

Okay the most important lesson here is that when you are doing something like this test a few before you do all of them.
Well I have no idea. I was going to say that you probably saved the jpegs at a different resolution. Flash expects 72 dpi. Of course that is possible that you have different resolutions.
Also I've never had a problem where the pixel dimensions aren't what they are supposed to be. So you probably have something else going on here....

I am facing some migration/compatibility issues between Adobe Flash CS3 Professional and Adobe Flash Professional CS5:
I am working on a project that has been completely developed in CS3 earlier. When I am using CS5 (Flash Player 9 / Flash Player 10) to compile the FLA files, it is creating some new issues like some customized radio buttons are getting disappeared while viewing the SWF on a web page etc.
So, I would like to know:
1) Is there any migration/compatibility issue between Adobe Flash CS3 Professional and Adobe Flash Professional CS5?
2) If yes: Is there any patch available from Adobe for it?
3) If no: What could be the causes and the best possible solutions for it?
Any help and support would be highly appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

Problem installing Flash Professional CS6

Hi,
Would you be able to advise.
At present I`m looking into building a network deployment of windows version CS6, that we can install on our teaching machines here next year.
It`s the Design and Web premium version that we'll be making available.
Everything seems to install correctly expect Flash Professional CS6.
Install fails for this with the following error at the end of the log file.
This is happening on multiple machines.
I really can`t see how this could be a problem with the machines as all other products install correctly.
I`ve tried disabling virus checker and also ensured that software is run with Admin Rights.
Also this happens from both the install media and a download of the Flash CS6 media from your site.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this.

Problem: Custom Flash Professional Component

Hi,
I just installed a copy of Flash Builder 4.5, and am attempting to create a custom "flash professional component" in the Design mode of an mxml project. The documentations mentioned that in order to create this component, I have to press on the 'Create in Flash Professional' button in the properties window.
Here's the problem: clicking on the button brings up a window to name the component, then clicking 'create' brings up Flash Pro, but that's about it. I was told an edit window will show up in Flash Pro, but it doesn't happen. Flash Pro just initializes into the start page and does nothing else.
Am I doing anything wrong? Please help, thanks in advance!

Problems installing Flash Professional CC

When I try to download Flash Professional CC by clicking the Download button from the Adobe website, my Creative Cloud app automatically opens, but doesn't not provide anywhere for me to click to install the program.
The only Flash option I have to install from my CC app is the Flash CS6 version.
I subscribe monthly to the Creative Cloud so don't understand why I am unable to download the Flash CC version, which is included in the monthly subscription. Any ideas?

UPDATE: I searched in the forum and throwing away the DVCPROHDVideoOutput.component seems to have been the solution for me! Running smotthly until now!

I am trying to download Flash Porfessional CS3 as I need it for my coursework. It is the only version we have in school. It is very urgent as I need to get all my work done. Problems with Flash Professional CS5 and Device Central CS5

I have Adobe CS5 Web premium, Windows 7 64-bit. (All updates on both)
My problem is that when I press create on Device Central it doesn't set up the flash document specs for the particular device I am trying to build an app for. It does the same thing when I try to create a new Adobe Device Central document in flash. However when I try and create mobile documents for photoshop, illustrator or fireworks it works fine. It is just when I try and create one for flash.
Any suggestions?

I realize this is an old thread, but I am having the same problem. In Device Central CS 5.5, I first selected Browse and dragged the HTC Droid Incredible, Motorola Droid 2, and Motorola Droid X to the Test Devices pane. Then I selected Motorola Droid 2 and clicked the Create button. At this point, the three devices that I added are grayed out, and the New Document pane says "To start, please select device(s) in the 'Test Devices' panel." The Motorola Droid 2 is still selected in the Test Devices panel, but as I said, it is grayed out.
What am I msising?

Activating Flash Professional CS3

I have a business need to reactivate Flash CS3 on a few machines. As far as I can tell from adobe, the authentication servers haven't been shut down. But when I try and activate; I get an 'Activation - No Connection' error. I would assume my internet connection is working fine; as I'm able to post to this forum. I'm not behind a proxy, and the phone activation option has been deactivated.
Adobe support over the phone would not confirm one way or the other if the servers are still up. Can anyone provide some insight on this?

I reviewed the account you used to post to this public forum but there is no Creative Suite 3 software title registered to that account. I did find an active Creative Cloud membership. If you try to install and activate an application included with the Adobe Creative Cloud do you receive the same error?

It says "We are currently experiencing some issues, please try again later. If the problem persists, contact customer support. But I just want to know why it's doing this. If the screenshot isn't loading, I might want to add that I'm using Ubuntu.

OTF/PS fonts have recently stopped rendering in Flash Pro CS3 on Windows 7/64

Recently, a number of my OTF/PS fonts have stopped rendering when used in Flash Pro CS3. The fonts appear in the fonts menu, render properly in the font preview popup in the font menu, but the fonts fail to render on stage when used, with certain exceptions:
--If Bitmap Text is selected, the fonts appear (but aliased)
--If Anti-alias for animation is selected, then the text appears when text insertion is active in the text box, but vanishes when focus shifts to another element, tool, selection
In all other cases and for all other settings (yes, including black text with 100% alpha on a white background, etc etc), the text shows solely as transparent. You can select the text (although not see what you're selecting), cut and paste, and as you change the font size, kerning, justification, bold, italic, etc, the text boxes resize as normally expected; simply, the text does not show up.
The fonts work normally in all other CS3 and Windows applications, and up until about last week (Dec 12 or so), used to work fine in Flash.
The problem fonts appear to be (primarily Open Type Format) Post Script Outline fonts.
I have installed all Windows updates, Flash Pro CS3 updates, deleted the Flash user config files, deleted and reinstalled the fonts, and copied the fonts to the C:/user/Program Files/Common/Adobe/Fonts folder.
There were no new installations (applications, fonts, etc) around the time when the error started showing up, aside from possibly Windows updates.
Given the timing (worked fine Tuesday, failed on Wednesday), I believe a Windows update may have been at least partially responsible, though perhaps it's the Mayan apocalypse.

Are Flash Professional Buttons broken in Flash Builder 4.7/AIR 3.4?

Moved my ActionScript Mobile Project game from Flash Builder 4.6 / AIR 3.2 yesterday to the new release of 4.7 / AIR 3.4. I immediately ran into a problem with Flash Professional Button's working incorrectly. The buttons have linkages in a SWC exported from Flash Professional CS6, which the project has linked. The content of the buttons doesn't seem to matter. It seems to break in different ways visually depending on it's composition (sometimes it loads unreleated bitmap data or displays with a strange transformation). Has anyone else seen this behaviour so far?

I don't have the time to create a unique project for adobe bug database. So many are having the same issue, I'm shocked that Adobe doesn't know about this already. This discussion that I'm writing in right now was started in december, almost 7 months ago.
Joseph Labrecque says in his blog that adobe does know of this issue and is working on it, he said that 6 months ago. Is he incorrect?

Im having a little problem with flash professional cs5 , it seems to be an usual problem with the program
the problem is everytime i try to run it it says : The FlashResources.dll is missing. Please reinstall flash"

reinstalled the program around 5 times cleared entire adobe files so no adobe folders were in my computer did total adobe reinstall ( uninstalled flash plugin too)

Thanks, but I use publish/export settings with GPU hardware acceleration and flash version 11.2 (and 11.8) but nothing happening.
And why gif file is not all transparenty then I insert on lightblue background? It can't export good quality? Also I use Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Edge Animate. And nothing happening. Adobe Flash Professional CC 2014 [Brush Tool Problem]

Hello I have been trying to fix a problem with the brush tool I found out about recently. [ I have a graphic tablet/drawing tablet ] Every time I have the brush tool selected, and try to write something a line is drawn on the canvas. It's really hard for me to explain the problem so here is a screenshot.
I don't know how to fix this problem, and I already tried to re-install the software, but it doesn't seen to make any difference. Any suggestions?
