Problem in group by query

content_id, sender_id, sender_name, receiver, subject, content, uploaded_image, content_time
these are fields in contents_center table.
now i want to view records grouped on the basis of subjects as contents are posted on the same subjects. in short i want it 2 do it like the way the forums are workking.
This query wrong : PLZ give me some help :
SELECT content_id, subject, uploaded_image, sender_id, content_time
FROM contents_center
WHERE receiver = 'ranbaxy'

  • Problem in Changing the Query of LOV using Forms Personalisation

    Hi all,
    I have a problem while trying to change the LOV of job field in the people--> assignment form. I am trying to do through forms personalisation. I defined all the rquired fields:
    Following are the description of fields Idescribed in the form Personalisation:
    Trigger Event: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE
    in actions tab:
    10-- Built In--Create Record Group With Query
    11-Property----LOV
    Target Object--JOBS
    Property Name--GROUP_NAME
    vALUE--jobs(rECORD gROUP NAME created above)
    It is validated successfully,
    but when trying to open the form it is giving an error 'cannot create record group jobs'..
    Can anybody help me with this..

    I found that there is no problem with code. My problem is not technical, its a functional problem.
    It is related to Inventory's "System Items" KFF.
    Can anybody tell me, to this "System Items" KFF, one value set is assigned. but it is of none type of value set. so from where the values in LOV are coming?

  • Result set problem with GROUP BY

    hi there, this should be the simplest of queries but.........
    when run, the list size is 13, this is the number of letting units in the table. it appears not to be grouping by the property id.if it was doing this there should only be 8 rows. having said this, the while loop should output the count of each row, it does this 8 times with the correct counts. it then crashes with a invalid curser error. it appears the query is workig correctly but the resultset thinks its got 13 rows when it only has 8.

    It's not the problem with GROUP BY. You should use scrollable result set to move in both directions (forward and backward).
    In your code
    searchResults.beforeFirst(); line may return false. So you will get the searchResults.next() false. Once you move forward in non-scrollable cursor cannot come back. So when you create the statement object use TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE or TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE constants provided in the ResultSet.

  • Problem while opening Bex query on the web

    Hello BW experts,
    I have a problem while opening Bex query from my SAP Favorites.See below.
    When i double click on the query, i get the following page, with the server name KBWS01QX.
    But, from RSRT Tcode, select the query > query display as HTML > Click on ABAP Web , click execute as shown below, it is going to the correct URL as in the 2nd screen shot below.
    My question is why is it going to the wrong URL when i open it from  SAP Favorites menu?
    I want it to open the same URL as it opened from RSRT(which is the right one)
    What is the Config needed to make it to work from SAP favorites.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    From RSRT, this time I clicked on JAVA WEB, and i get the below URL, which is the same URL i was getting when i executed the query from SAP favorites.

    Also, i have executed the Function module : RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET and i get the below values.
    It seems that it is trying to connect to Java portal something services may be, but i want it to open in ABAP web only.

  • Problem in writing a query

    Dear all,
    I have a problem for writing a query,
    country: name,code,population.
    economy:country(code),gdp
    in the economy table i have gdp of each country, i calculated sum of the GDP of all countries and then half of it(50% of world GDP)
    then i should calculate the minimum population of the countries needed to have this 50% of GDP.
    here is what i wrote until now but i really don't have any more idea, if you help me i'll learn something.

    But the following group by query is throwing error that a.resp_ts is not a group by function.
    But i don't want to add a.resp_ts in group by clause.

    I need a clarification in my Select query.
    Have created a custom search help and my requirement is I have Request ID, Last and First Name as my search parameters. I need to fetch the values from my Ztable on search with the above said search parameters, where its workflow status = 30.

    My problem is, ofcourse this query is selecting all the records where status = 30 and even it works correctly, If I searches with Request ID(* or *3*).
    But am not able to select the records, if I searches with Last or First Name. Guess I did some thing wrong in select query.

                nachn
               vorna
      INTO TABLE lt_select_list
      FROM ZTABLE
      WHERE ( zzreq_id     LIKE    lv_pattern                and

                         vorna          LIKE     lv_first_name )    and
                          zzstatus = lv_workflow_status.

  • Problem in standard select query in fagll03

    Good Morning frndz,
    I m facing a problem while runnin fagll03. when executed it gives timeout error.
    When I debug it  , it gets stuck in a select query
    SELECT SINGLE * FROM t800m INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF ls_b
    WHERE totable = ls_t800a-ntable
    AND fromtable = 'ACCIT_GLX'
    AND tofield = id_glflex_fieldname
    AND seqnr = space.
    The content in variable ls_t800a-ntable was FAGLFLEXA  and in id_glflex_fieldname was USNAM.
    When I cheked in table t800m, the entry could not be found. But in the report instead of setting
    sy-subrc = 0 , it is stuck in the select query itself....kindly suggest y it is happening so

    I have a problem eith block bassed query.i have already used this block based query and it is working too.
    But here i am facing the the problem.why becuz i have used a global variable to pass value for execute it.
    and used 'set_block_property' to execute this query ..

    execute_query;
    But it si showing unable to perform the query..
    How i do this?? plez help me out...

    There are some possible reasons.
    1- The items that are in data block , there is some field data is not database field and you set the property of this item is
    "Data Base Item" = 'Yes' , means this field is not in table.
    2- user right problem
    3- see the block property where set the property QUERY = NO\

  • Problems with Input Ready Query

    Hello All,
    I'm facing problems with input ready query for BI IP.
    I've created the input query on aggregation level and maintianed all the planning settings.  It is not allowing me to edit, when i'm attaching in the web template.
    I also attached a button copy function, and i'm able to execute it and save it, but it not allowing me to change manually.
    I also enabled the 3rd option for keyfigures...data can be changed with planning functions and user input.
    Please help me in this regard.
    We have just started the development of BI-IP, please suggest me if there are any notes to be applied.

    Yes I've set to the finest granularity...even if it is Only one characteristic and one key figure without any restrictions...
    I've checked even planning tab page under properties...it is also fine..
    But still it is not allaowing me to go to edit mode...this is a fresh instalation and the query i'm working is the first one...
    Please suggest me if there are any notes to be applied, we are on Support Pack 10.

    Don't try to write a query like this in one time. Do it step by step (adding the next string every time), print the result with dbms_output.put_line, and see at which point the error occurs.

  • Alert is not working with a group by query

    Hello,
    I have a group by query. Using that query have created an alarm, but the alarm is not working, though if I execute manually the query, the query is returning records.
    I have update the alarm and set another query which has no group by clause. This way the alarm works.
    So, my question is the following, do you know if this behaviour is because some SAPs limitation, that is, that alarms with queries containing the group by clause cant work?

    Actually, the query I have post was a simplification of the real one.
    The real one is the following, and there I think it is not possible to rewrite it without the group by>
    SELECT T1.ItemCode , SUM(T1.OpenQty) , SUM(T2.OnHand) , SUM(T1.OpenQty)- SUM(T2.OnHand)
    FROM RDR1 T1 inner JOIN OITW T2 on T1.ItemCode = T2.ItemCode
    WHERE T2.WhsCode = '01'
    GROUP BY T1.ItemCode
    HAVING SUM(T1.OpenQty)- SUM(T2.OnHand) > 0
