Problem in hierarchy authorisation

Dear all, I have two questions now regarding as the hierarchy authorisation:
1, As you know the infoObject 0TCTAUTHH should be actived and allowed to be authorised? How do I know that is already activated?
And how to activated it?
2, When I define the authorisation for the hierarchy, in the option "Type of authorisation". I don't understand the use of "2". Can anybody explain it to me?

I tried ur sugesstion but the same problem persists.i tried it in other way by giving the unit price at the item master level itself.in such case the unit price field in the PO displays the value.But the TAB pointer jumps to the next row directly instead of moving to the Tax Code Field in the PO.it means it doesn't allow me to enter the tax code.I think the problem is due to mistake in setting user authorisation.Could u clear me.

EDI: Syntax error in IDoc (segment cannot be identified)
Message no. E0078
Diagnosis
The segment E1RSSH does not occur at the current level of the basic type (extension ).
This error can have several reasons:
The segment E1RSSH is assigned to a group whose header segment does not occur.
The segment E1RSSH does not exist in the syntax description of the basic type (extension ).
The sequence of segments in the group in which the segment appears is incorrect.
Previous errors ('mandatory' segment or group missing) may be due to this error.
Procedure
Please check the IDoc or the syntax description of the basic type (extension ).

The most basic setting in a BW system is its connectivity with the R/3 system (which is a basis team activity, but BI consultant can always help).
Issue: While creating source system, I am getting an error "Segment E1RSSH does not exist".
Diagnosis
Segment E1RSSH is in the syntax description, but it does not exist.
The issue was that some of the entries in the table EDISEGMENT were missing.
As this a standard table, it is recommended to restore the table from Backup or from another BI system. (Please ask your basis team to do it.)
Now, the significance of the segments: We all know that we require 3 message types in total to communicate with R/3 system. RSRQST, RSSEND and RSINFO.
Now each of the message types has some segments which help in communication.
You can see this segment types in the t-code we30. Just enter the basic idoc type and click on display.
This error is not a common error, but can be useful if at any stage of implementation or support, the table gets disturbed and you have issues with source system connectivity.

I am facing one problem with hierarchy variable , i created one hierarchy variable with ready for input , mandatory and customer exit as i need some values to be populated in the input screen and write the following exit

Data slice inconsistency problem with hierarchy nodes

Hi Experts,
We want to lock planning tables from function. We create the appropriate data slices but there are problems with (material group) hierarchy nodes.
If I give the node as input variable to the function it causes inconsistency in the data slice. If I choose and add this node to the lock in modeler, the problem is the same.
We are using the following variables to create a data slice:
0VERSION
0VTYTYPE
0COMP_CODE
ZGRMAT (developed material group)
Z_YEARCR (developed yera created)
The problem also exist if I set an another type of node e.g. destination country (0RECIPCNTRY) instead of material group.
For me, the problem seems to be generic.
Do you have any idea?

Problem of hierarchy in bex analyzer

Dear all,
I met a problem when I using Bex analyzer to run a query, there is a characteristic 0CS_PLEVEL (posting level) with a hierarchy. If the characteristic is displayed in the row or column, i can filter with the hierarchy node, everything seems to be fine. But if the 0CS_PLEVEL is set to be a free characteristic in the query, when I filter with hierarchy text node (not leaves), then there will be wrong message about 'No applicable data found', but if I add drill down according to Posting Level in rows, it indeed has data value.
And I tried filtering value with same hierarchy node with other query which is built based on Multiprovider, everything is fine.
I wonder if there is any speciall setting for filtering by hierarchy node in the query based on virtualprovider 0BCS_VC11?

In the Exception definition,Make sure you have selected following :
In Display tab -> Select Exception affects data cells
in cell restrictions tab -> Exception affects everything
After that,once you execute the query,Exceptions should be shown on all levels.

Problem with hierarchy variable while displaying query in Portal

Hi,
I came up with an problem with a query in the portal. The problem is :
I have one query which is displayed in the portal. The Query has hierarchial selection criteria. I am executing the same query using analyzer. Its taking the variable from the selection and displaying it on the analyzer. I have used the option to " display the query on web " from the BEX query designer. From there its opening and displaying the results with the given selection criteria.
Where as when i open the query seperately in portal, its not displaying the results.
I came to know from one of my colleague that the porblem is with the Web item and the hierarchial variable declared in WAD was different from the variable declared in the BEX Query designer.
I never Worked with WAD. I tried finding out the variable definition. But i was unable to find out where the Hierarchial variable was defined.
Please help me out regarding the same.

Problem creating hierarchy based on 2 physical dimension tables

I'm having a problem creating 1 logical dimension with a drill-down hierarchy, based on two separate physical dimension tables. The errors I receive when navigating the drill-down hierarchy is:
"Cannot find logical table source coverage for logical columns" &
"Missing join between logical tables".
I'm using OBIEE 10.1.3.4
Here are the details of what I have setup sofar:
Physical layer:
Dimension table DIM_ORG with columns:
-dimension_key
-org_total_code
-org_total_description
-org_detail_code
-org_detail_description
Dimension table DIM_DEPT with columns:
-dimension_key
-dept_total_code
-dept_total_description
-dept_detail_code
-dept_detail_description
Fact table FACT_SALES with columns:
-fk_org
-fk_dept
-sum_sales
Physical Joins:
FACT_SALES.fk_org = DIM_ORG_dimension_key
FACT_SALES.fl_dept = DIM_DEPT.dimension_key
Business Model & Mapping layer:
I created a logical dimension ORG_DEPT. It contains two logical table sources (DIM_ORG & DIM_DEPT) and the following logical columns:
- All Departments (mapped to dept_total_code)
- Organisation (mapped to org_detail_description)
- Organisation Number (mapped to org_detail_code)
- Department (mapped to dept_detail_description)
- Department Code (mapped to dept_detail_code)
The business logical key is based on the combination of Organisation Number & Department Code
The hierarchy I need is: All Departments -> Organisation -> Department so I created the following hierarchy for ORG_DEPT:
- Total Level containing: All Departments
- Organisation Level containing: Organisation Number (defined as the Logical level key) & Organisation (defined als the Drill level key)
- Detail Department Level containing: Department Code (defined as Logical level key) and Department (defined as Drill level key).
In the LTS of the dimension ORG_DEPT I've set the Content levels for the sources:
DIM_ORG : Organisation Level
DIM_DEPT: Detail Department Level
In the LTS no -inner- joins have been added against related physical tables.
I created a logical fact table SALES (based on the physical fact table) and joined it against the logical dimension table ORG_DEPT.
In the LTS the Content level for ORG_DEPT is set against the Detail Department Level. No - inner- joins have been aded against related physical tables.
When I create a report in Answers to test the hierachy and select only 'All Departments' I get the correct dimension value returned. When I try to drill to the next level I get the following ODBC error:
"Cannot find logical table source coverage for logical columns: [All Departments]. Please check more detailed level keys are mapped correctly".
When I create a report in Answers and select both 'All Departments' and 'Sales' I get the correct result. When I try to drill to the next level I get a different ODBC error:
"Missing join between logical tables DIM_DEPT and DIM_DEPT: There must be at least one physical join link between the underlying physical tables".
Any suggestions are welcome!

Your suggestions were known to me but I still wanted to combine the two physical dimension tables in one logical dimension. So I've played around a bit more and found the solution: In my original setup I had two seperate logical table sources (one for each physical dimension table). The solution was to combine the two logical table sources in one logical table source. I achieved that by logical joining the DIM_DEPT table to the FACT_SALES table and subsequently to the DIM_ORG within the 1 LTS and using inner joins.
Then I created the logical table key (a combination of org_detail_code & dept_detail_code). After that I could create the hierarchy with no problem.

Problem with hierarchy change run in aggregates

Hi,
I have made changes in Cost center hierarchy (infact I have included 2 cost centers in a seperate node). After it I loaded hierarchy into BW through Process chain. Process chain uses Attribute/hierarchy change run process. Consequently Cost center hierarchy is loaded into BW successfully.
In Cost center master data, hierarchy table, i can see two new records for these added costcenters in Active status. It means hierarchy change has worked properly.
I have also read that hierarchy change run automatically reflects the changes in Aggregates, that are using Cost center info objects.
But my problem is I did not find new added cost centers in any aggregate using cost center info object. Though it should be taken care by Attribute/hierarchy change run.
Please suggest, if I make any change in source system hierarchy, then how and when it will impact aggregates ? How can I test that hierarchy change has impacted aggregates ?

I have a similar situation where the technical ID of the hierarchy is set as default value for the hierarchy variable in the variable input screen.
I have noticed that if I un-check the option "Suppress 'Unassigned' Node" in the Hierarchy Attributes Settings in RSH1, then the default value is gone, but I would like to have it checked in order not to display the unassigned nodes for the end users.
Any help or comments on what you have done to overcome this problem would be jhighly appriciated.

Subtotals problem in hierarchy selection

Dear all,
we have a technical problem in query 'Deviation Analysis'. When data is
displayed as a hierarchy ('Brand local hierarchy', or 'Universal
hierarchy'), calculations ("Calculate Result as...") in Subtotals of
'Formulas' are ignored. Calculations in Subtotals are correct when
hierarchy view is deactivated. For instance,
execute query with following selection:
Company Code = ES01
Sales Organisation = ES20
Calendar Month = 01.2005
1. HIERARCHY DEACTIVATED
Deactivate Hierarchy of 'Prod-L2 Brand'. Check Subtotal in column 'Volume
Deviation Last Year' = -517. Bear in mind that 'Properties' of Key Figure
'Volume Deviation Last Year' define Subtotal as a 'Summation' of singles
values above. Then Subtotal result we get here is correct.
2. HIERARCHY ACTIVATED
Then activate hierarchy of 'Prod-L2 Brand'. In the same figure 'Volume
Deviation Last Year' you will get a different Subtotal = -831, which
actually displays a Subtotal result as if nothing was defined in
'Properties' of Key Figure 'Volume Deviation Last Year'. It seems to ignore
'Summation' subtotal result.
As users need to report data with this special hierarchy for Brand, we
really need to have correct subtotal result in situation 2, that is when
hierarchy is active.

Problem in hierarchy input

Dear All,
I have a hierarchy on cost element infoobject...
I am using this in a report and have restricted costelement with hierarchy variable..But when i execute report while giving input for cost element it shows hierarchy and cost elements which are not present in hierarchy in not assigned node.
What i want is when user input cost element it should show only hierarchy nodes , it should mot show not assigned node in input selection.

I have given hierarchy name but when i execute report and select cost element(GL account) from hierarchy ..
I can see two parents nodes there ,one is for hierarchy node and other is not assigned node in which there are cost elements (GLs) which are not assigned in hierarchy so there are coming under not assigned...
What i want is when i click to select cost element in input parameter screen it should show only my hierarchy node and not not assigned node...

Problem in Hierarchy in BEX Query

I have created Query for balance statements & Profit ,Loss statement by using hierarchy. It is execuiting in perfectly.But the problem is "I want in the query output hierarchy with only 1 node that is Profit/loss node."
I have done restriction on that node only. But I am not getting the output for that node.
If I add one more node for Profit/loss node it is showing data.
my question is If I restrict only one node why it is not working?
please give me suggestions on this. we need only one node in the output Hierarchy.

1. I have not used any Structure .
2. I have placed my Hiearachy in ROWS and I ahve restricted only Profit/Loss Node.
( But If I select only 1 node in Restriction data is not getting in query)
IF I select "profit/loss node " & some other node in Restriction data is coming in the output of Query.
What is the reason for this.
whatt I have to do to get only 1 node in the output with values.

Problem with hierarchy

Hi,
I am running a query which time dependent hierarchies in it. The two hierarchies have two different time ranges. But when I ran a query which set a key date and choosed one of two hierarchies. The error happened. Error message "abort Hierarchy has been adjusted. start the query again". I tried again, the problem was still there.
Any ideas will really appreciated...points will be awarded..

So I went to attribute change run and I checked the infoobject liast and hierarchy list and there is nothing there abut in the top HIERARCHY/ATTRIBUTE CHANGE RUNS I still see some of the rows saying Hierarchy attibute change run is scheduled with diffrent requests numbers.
Can anybody explain me?

When I check in /su53 it says authorisation successfull....

Problems with hierarchy display when using SAPBEXonRefresh

Dear all,
I would like to create dynamic logos in BEx Analyzer. It means I need to change the logo image depending on value of certain free characteristic ("LOGO_ID").
At the moment, I have achieved that logo pictures (6 in total) are swapped by adding VBA code to SAPBEXonRefresh.
Unfortunately hierarchy symbols become to act very strange. Basically there are two problems:
1. They are not refreshed after hierarchy compression; those hierarchy symbols which are outside of result area are not removed
2. Pressing symbols in order to expand/collapse hierarchy sometimes does not produce any effect.
Code is show bellow and here is brief explanation of it. First, we are searching for "LOGO_ID" string in document. One cell to the right is value which tells us what logo to make visible. There are six logo pictures in worksheet with names: "L1", "L2", "L3", "L4", "L5", "L6" and only one should be visible.
Problem seems to be in working with Shapes (logo pictures are Shapes) since hierarchy expand/collapse symbols are also of the same type.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Where do you have this problem 3.5 or 7.0 BexAnalyzer.
When ever heirarchy icons are created in BEx, respective hyperlink is assigned to each of them, Make sure that you dont manipulate with them,,
If you still have problem then create OSS message.
