Problem in HR Custom Info Type Creation

Hi,
Created custom info type from PM01...
Activated... This is working fine in the System and Client where I created.
But its not working from other client..?
I am getting error by saying that Info Type is not created... All the Structure and PAXXXX table got activated in both Clients.
Earlier we faced same problem, at that time our team made some changes to info type and probelm resolved.
I don't know where and what exactly we need to do...
But,
One of the problem I identified is,
We are not getting T591A, T591S tables at Subtype Tab, Subtype text tab in INFOTYPE CHARACTERSTICS.
I can enter these two from TECHNICAL ATTRIBUTES... but when I generate all aobjects from PM01, these two values getting deleted from INFOTYPE CHARACTERSTICS.
(Above may be the reason)
Please let me know if any solution for this.

Yes, you are correct. We need to release the Customizing request which contains Subtype , Subtype Text Tables with Info Type Entries.

When i am creating customized info type using T-code PM01, i get error message like "package in non original system only modifiable with organizer tools".
The above message is coming whenever save the infotype in either customized package or local package.
As per my observation when i save the infotype, it default takes SAP package So i need to change that package.So how can i change the package in T-code PM01.
Please tell me the solution to overcome the error.

Hi,
Since infotype attribute in table T582A is clent specific, so you should maintain the entries in the target client.
Create the table entry of your infotype in the other client in view V_T582A (infotype attribute) or via t-code PM01 and click button 'infotype characteristics. Also you can transport CR from client to client via t-code SCC1 as well.

In PM01, under create tab when you enter Custom Infotype number and hit enter Which System does it show as Original System (under attributes group), per my understanding it should have been SAP (I Guess), So choose a Package such that your Original System is the system you are working on.

Changing screen layout of custom info type

Hi we created a new custom info type from std info type 0002 .We want to realign the fields in the generated info type,but we get an syntax error if we chg it from the screen editor ... can u tell me how to chg it?

Look at pages 16-25. (in peculiar look for T588M and modification groups)

Enabling a customer info type for fast entry

I would like to enable a customer info type, info type in the 9000 range, for fast entry. Your assistance in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help in this forum, as always.
I was able to add the new contact type to the table from SM30 but as mentioned in my original question, the contacts created using this new contact type is not editable. When a business user opens the work item at a later day and wishes to update the contact, the change button is not appearing against these contacts. We can see the change button against every other item which were created using the SAP delivered options.
I was wondering if there is any other table where we can maintain an entry to make this editable.

Display custom info type in ESS portal

Hi all,
I have got a requirement that i need to display the custom defined info type in ESS portal , that info type have three text fields.
Is it possible to do this using a standard configuration in ESS portal or do i need to do some development?

ALE - error in custom message type creation

HAI friends,
I am new to ALE IDOC, i am creating custom message type for custom table . i created segment, idoc, message type and executed outbound program . in outbound client, status is dispatch ok. so problem in outbound.
my problem is in inbound . i created one function module idoc_input_zmsg. In test tool for idoc processing ie. TCODE WE19, i clicked my segment and then i clicked the inbound function module button . In function module text box my own function module idoc_input_zmsg is available. but when i click ok button, i am getting the following error.
"INTERFACE FOR FUNCTION IDOC_INPUT_ZMSG IS INCORRECT".

Customized info type

dear all
i have an customize info type which make some calculation on payroll and save it in it's own database and also insert
records wage types in the standard infotype 0014 but there is problem in the records which inserted to the standard infotype
i search in the customize infotype code and in the z includes in pm01 transaction but i didn't found where the previous programmer add the records to the standard info type and also i search in the badi .
could please anyone tell me which possiple places to add customize code in the customize infotype to insert data in another one
other than the z include and modules in the process after input .
how can i chek for badis and user exit in this customize infotype

New movement type runs parallel with your business needs,there may be various business scenarion where you want to distinguish between standard movement type and customized...
1) Like in my case what I've done is created 2 movement types similar to 541,542 respectively....
We were sending equipments to repair to vendor through 541 and then receive back thru 542...Since these two mvmts(541 & 542) are used in case of subcontracting it was hard to distinguish between subcontracting and repair procedure...hence we created two new mvmt type for the purpose......
New movement type surely depends upon the scenario and the need for the movement type...
Note:-You cannot create a new movemnet type for a new business transaction there are some limitations on it,

Customer alert Types creation

We just upgraded our system to SCM 7 and in SPRO i am not able to find, where i need to create custom alert types.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Jeff,
in SPRO, you define the alert types under SCM Basis > Alert Monitor > Maintain database / dynamic alert types for DP and SNP
or
once you launch transaction /SAPAPO/AMON1, go to Alert Profile, then from the top menu Environment > Maintain Alert Types for DP/SNP. You need to enter new alerts with ID greater or equal than 8000.

Regarding Updation of Custom info type fields

           I am new to HR ABAP. Actually, I want to update the custom infotype 3 fields as per my user inputs. I am fetching the data from the PA table acoording to sy-datum falling in the begda, enda limitations. now I am changing the field with new values in the work area. And pass with the following data to the FM.
          But I am getting the error 'No data stored for 9008 in the selected period'. I had seen prvious therads, but could not get how they solved the issue.

Custom Validator Types in BC4J

HI,
I am having a few problems implementing a custom validator type. Through following the documentation, I have created a new type via the registered rules tabs attached to my business components project. The created class extends oracle.jbo.server.rules.JboCompare Validator.
Once registered, the class appears in the validation tab of the edit Entity wizard as expected.
However, when I try to enforce a validation rule based on the created bean, I get the following :
Cannot create an instance of the validation rule bean or editor.
Validation rule class may not be in classpath.
Exception oracle.jbo.dt.object.JboException(ClassNotFoundException)
The class created is definately in the classpath for my project. I have also tried creating the class inititally, and then adding the class to the registered rules, as opposed to creating a new class via registered rules.
Is this a bug, or have I missed something?

Sorry for the delay in response on this -- it took me some time to track down the problem.
When you create a customer validator, the class is added to your current project. However, the IDE doesn't include the myclasses directory as part of it's class path.
The workaround is to edit the [JDeveloper_home]\bin\jdeveloper.ini, and add your current projects class output path to the IDEClassPath (e.g. IDEClassPath=..\lib\jdeveloper_intl.zip;...;..\myclasses)

Creating new info type in HR module

My requirement is to resave 0000 info type as 0001 on certain condition, can I do that?
Or is it the case that for creating custom info types range should be greater than 9000.

Yes infotype can be 9nnn not less than that.
anyhow here are the steps.
) Go to Transaction PM01.
2) Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create (Should be a 4 digit number, start with 9).
3) Select the Employee Infotype radio button.
4) Select the PS Structure Infotype.
5) Click on Create A separate table maintenance window appears
6) Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype
7) Save and Activate the PS structure
8) Go back to the initial screen of PM01.
9) Click on All push button. It takes a few moments.
10) Click on Technical Characteristics. Infotype list screen appears
11) Click on Change(pencil) button
12) Select your Infotype and click on Detail (magnifying glass) button
13) Give T591A as subtype table
14) Give T591S as subtype txt tab
15) Give your subtype field as subtype field
16) Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
17) Click on Infotype Characteristics Infotype list screen appears
18) Click on Change (pencil) button
19) Click on New Entries
20) Enter your Infotype number and short text
21) Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotypes infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours)
22) Save your entries.
23) Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
24) If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirement
25) In the PM01 initial screenSelect Screen radio button and give 2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
26) In the next screen.. Select Layout Editor and click Change.
27) Screen default layout appearshere you can design/modify the screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
28) Save and activate. (Dont forget to Activate at every level)
