Problem in Importing From Other Env (Dev/QA)

We have several environments like Dev/QA/Prod and we use OWB export import to copy maps from one env (Say from Dev) to other env (say QA). The problem we face is that map loses some properties during export/import process.
I had seen many times "match by constraint" in Target Table became blank after import and that given error during deployment.
Once we found that mapping table(Target) property changed to INSERT from INSERT/UPDATE which resulted PK violation during run.
Did anybody faced this issue?
Thanks

I reproduced the hint nesting/blanking problem and it has been included in bug 3286037. I am not able to reproduce the match by constraint and loading type (INSERT/UPDATE) problems. I woul ask for more info on this:
- OWB/DB version on which this is happening
- Import mode as defined by the Insert Option and Match By parameters during import.

  • Problems with import from textfile

    Hi
We are experiencing problems with importing tables from a text-file. We are using Designer 6i (NT) release 2.
Some of the column sequences are lost others are changed.
Foreign keys are lost if the referenced table is after in alphbetical order! Not null columns are nullified and the column of the primary key definition is lost.
Has anyone had similar problems and/or know of a workaround?

  • Problem IDOC import from Intergration Builder

    Hi all,
Please help me with the following problem:
In the Integration Builder (IB) I want to import an IDOC from a SAP R/3 4.6C system.
I've added software component SAP APPL 4.6c to the repository in the IB and changed setting so it is permitted to import RFC and IDOC interfaces.
On the screen 'Connection data for import from a SAP system' I find a group attribute implying load balancing. But we don't have load balancing in our environment.
When I populate the field with a dummy value and start import RFC/IDOC for the component a wizard appears with the tab 'Load Balanced' activated and with tab 'Direct' deactivated.
I think I should use direct connection but I'm not sure how to configure this for the software component.
    Please help me!
    Best Regards,
    Harald Kastelijn

    Hi Harald,
Are you using XI2.0 or XI3.0?
It is not necessary to add a software component. What you should do is under your own software component version, enter the host name in message server, and leave the group field blank. When you actually do the import, you will see that you need to enter "application server" information to overwrite the message server info (XI3 only).

  • Problem while importing from Panasonic SDR-S10

After finding the panasonic SDR-S10 on the iMovie 08 compatibility list, I updated and bought the camera for quick video shots. While traveling, I filled three 2 GB cards with no techical problems. Importing them into iMovie though causes problems. About half of the clips are imported with sound, the rest without! I tried importing with the camcorder, a SD-card reader, onto my internal HD and HD2. Sound and picture is perfect on the camera. I use Quicktime pro but do not have the mpeg2 plugin. The camera compresse in mpeg2. Can anybody help?

I have the same camcorder and have used Visual Hub to convert the .mod clips to .dv files which work just fine with iMovie. You can try out Visual Hub for clips less than 2 minutes in length in the trial mode. I think it costs about $20. Also, I've heard you can buy an mpeg2 plug in for Quicktime Pro that will let you use those files. I think that is also about $20.
Also, search the apple discussions for ".mod" and you'll find a lot of other similar questions to the one you asked.
    Hope this helps.

  • Import from other schemas other than default

    Hi,
I defined a source metadata location to an Oracle database. The user used to connect to the DB itself has no objects. I need to import tables and views from other schemas in the source Oracle database. It that possible using the same user that was used in creating the metadata source location? Or, does one need specific one-to-one connection established as separate source metadata locations in order to import tables and views from other schemas?
In other words, is one user/password to a database sufficient to import tables and views from other schemas?
    Thanks!

  • Importing from other libraries?

So I was wondering if it was possible to fill your ipod from someone elses library then "import" them into your own library. Is this even kosher? Thanks!

    That is not possible..
Shuffles are desinged to work with one computer.
Other model ipods do have the ability of loading from other libraries, but not pulled from the ipod to the computer.
That is the same as if you were to download from the web from a Free P2P (peer 2 Peer ) network, and that is not Kosher.

  • Problems with Import from Kodak Zi-8

    Hello,
I do not manage to import the movies I shot with my Kodak Zi-8 videocamera on Final Cut Express (version 4.0.1).
I can play these normally on Quick Time and can import them without any problem on I-Movie, but not on FCE.
    Anyone can help?

Media from this camera will not work in FCE. It needs to be converted. You can use MPEG Streamclip to do this. I can't tell you how to convert it without knowing the exact specs of what you shot. Open a clip in the QT player and report what it says in the movie inspector.

  • Custom badi problem when imported from 4.6C to 4.7

    Hi ,
I have the following problem. I imported a custom badi from release 4.6C to a 4.7 and I see a new attribute INSTANCE_FLT_CACHE inside the generated class which is not defined inside the class private section. As a result I get a syntax error .
    What can I do?
Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi Donatella,
If it is an istance attribute you can declare it using the DATAstatement.
If it is a static Attribute, the contents of static attributes define the state of the class that is valid for all instances of the class. Static attributes exist once for each class. You declare them using the CLASS-DATA statement. They are accessible for the entire runtime of the class.
All of the objects in a class can access its static attributes. If you change a static attribute in an object, the change is visible in all other objects in the class.
The technical properties of instance attributes belong to the static properties of a class. It is therefore possible to refer in a LIKE addition to the visible attributes of a class – through the class component selector or through reference variables, without prior creation of an object.
if it may be useful rewards points are appreciated

  • Messages imported from other Mac Mail accounts are empty

I took great care in making sure my business mail over the past several years was preserved on my G4. A separate folder was created for incoming and sent messages for each year, and each year I kept the folders from the previous year online in Mail for easy access. I moved the folders from past years into an 'archive' folder inside User/Library/Mail, but not within /Mailboxes. If I had a need to refer to messages from another year, all I had to do was move the appropriate folder back into /Mailboxes, and Mail would open it and there my messages would be, completely intact. The entire Mail folder was backed up every night onto an external Firewire drive.
And everything was just fine. Or so I thought. After the power supply in my G4 fried last week, I had to migrate everything over to my MacBook. While the Mail import of over 5GB worth of messages went without a problem, I just now had a need to refer to messages from earlier this year. The mailbox lists all of them, including sender, date and time, but the message pane is EMPTY, completely void of any text whatsoever. Every message that was imported... over the past FIVE YEARS is now GONE. Finder still claims the Mailbox folder contains 5.28GB of content, but if the message panes are without text, what's taking up 5.28GB of space?
    Anyone?

My panicked and frustrated posting was due to the fact that under OS 10.4.11, Mail Help was as empty as the mail messages I described. There was no content.
But I was pleasantly surprised to find that under OS 10.5.8, Mail Help provided the answer by explaining how to get Mail to reindex the messages. This solved the problem.

  • Problems with importing from DV

I'm going around in circles trying to figure out why I can get a preview of the content off my JVC DV camcorder (gr-dvx4) but iMovie just will not import the contents. I hit the impotr in either Manual or Automatic mode button, the film plays on the camcorder screen but its not registering with iMovie, it just shows a blue screen which says 'importing' but nothing is happening! Argh! Someone help!

I had exactly the same problem but with only with a tape that was recorded using another dv camcorder than the one I am using to import into iMovie'08.
Now this is very very weird, especially given that the import works perfectly with QuickTime Pro (see workaround base on QuickTime Pro hereafter). In other words, this is a serious bug of iMovie'08, as I saw many threads on this forum referring to this problem.
So much for "easiness of use of iMovie'08"...
Anyway here is a workaround that worked for me based on QuickTime Pro. Of course, you will have to purchase it...
So, first import your movie from the camcorder using Quicktime Pro in *raw dv format* (see Quicktime preferences, under the importing tab). And then import the files from you harddisk into iMovie'08. Unfortunately, you are loosing dates associated with clips, but you can always set them aftewards using the techniques described here:

  • Problems playing/importing from external DVD/CD drive

    Hi,
I recently upgraded my iTunes from the 4.7.1 version to the latest version 6.0.1.3. Although everything worked fine before, I can't play or import songs from my Freecom classic DVD +/- RW drive anymore. The drive is recognized o.K. and works with other programs as usual. If I insert a music CD into the drive, it is read and recognized fine and the titles are displayed. But if I then want to play the songs or import them to iTunes, it jumps from title to title and does not import or play them correctly. This problem does not occur with my other drive and all the other iTunes functions work well....
    Any ideas???
    Thanks - J.

  • Problems with "import from catalog" & "collection type mismatch"

I'm attempting to keep 2 catalogs on 2 different computers sunchronized.  I'm exporting photos
and collections (actually a web gallery) from one computer to another, and
I'm getting a "collection type mismatch" error, that prevents the photos from being a
dded to the collection.  I've exported and imported the flash gallery template
from one system to the other to make sure the templates were identical.  A
ll the photos, keywords, and attributes seem to be imported properly, but the photos aren't added
to the collection. Anyone having success exporting/importing collections between computers?
    I'm using LR 2.7 on Win 7 & Vista.
    Thanks,
    Mark

Thanks Dorin.  I tested it with a "regular" collection, and it works.
I hope they fix this in v. 3 too!

  • Problem with IMPORT FROM DATABASE

    Hello Members,
I have a program which reads content of INDX table (cluster table) using
IMPORT tab = lt_ccris1 FROM DATABASE indx(xa) TO wa_indx CLIENT
    sy-mandt ID 'DETAILLIST'.
    sy-subrc return is 0.
But internal table lt_ccris1 is not populated. I expect entries to be populated here as there is an raw data entry in the INDX - CLUSTD field of database.
    1)   Also I am intereseted to knoe where is the data exported to this INDX table? Usual searches does not show any export statement.
    2)   Is there a FM which can directly read content of INDX table?
            Your help is much appreciated.

    Hi Thomas,
        Thanks for the reply.
//How do you know your IMPORT syntax must look exactly like this? //
I did not write this custom report and IMPORT statement is exactly the same as I have given. It is correct as per syntax.
In SE16 INDX does contain an entry for the given key.
I searched for EXPORT stmt in varall ways including debugging (Please note there is a SUBMIT <program> before IMPORT and if at all there is an export it should be in there). Could not find from debugging as well.
RS_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN does not exist in my 4.7.
    Regards
    Ram
