Problem in importing request on PRD Server

Hi,
I am not a BASIS Guy and i am doing it on behalf of it. I had released the requets form Dev Client and then i am importing it to the PRD Server and i had used Tcode STMS in which there is field specified import request . I clicked over it and then specified the client i.e. PRD Server and then it gives the msg that IMPORT IS RUNNING .
It has been almost 40 minutes now and it is a single report which is taking a lot of time to import.
I had checked on the Cust & Development Client that it shows the request has been released successfully.
Is there anything which i am doing wrong ? Please guide me for it....

• Help for Import Request in PRD

Hai
Guys.
How to import Transport Request in PRD Server?
Waiting for Your Reply
Regards
srini.

Hi Sandeep,
When a FM is executed the import and the export parameters are populated on the screen. F4 help is possible only by adding statement ON VALUE-REQUEST in case of selection screen, incase of normal screen it is defined while creating the screen itself.
Executing a FM is an option to check whether FM gives desired set of output for given input values.
This option requested by you is not possible.
If this explains and answers do give points.

• Problem in importing request

Hi All,
I installed new system ECC 6.0 with EHP1 ready on Windows 2008 cluster environment and Oracle 10g database.
The installation completed successfully and fail-over is also happening perfectly. I did STMS and there is no inconsistency as well. I made three system configuration in which my DEV system is Domain controller for this all 3 ERP system.
Today when I tried to import a request into PRD, it's not starting. Only the truck symbol is showing in status, but no progress. I guess tp is unable to write the file data into database.
The import monitor show 'import started' as a status. also there is no log file generated.
Because of this issue I am unable to start my EHP4 upgrade also.
Regards,
Ramesh.

• Can not import requests in Quality Server

Dear Gurus,
Please find below logs and let me know where error is coming.
We configure some changes and released it to quality server but I am not able to transfer requests in Quality Server and tp system log is as per below.
When I transfer requests it goes in continuously loop mode endlessly. I delete those requests from import monitor queue then restarted it but same results.
Please guide me what to do......

• Problems servicing EJB requests on SOA server. SOA Suite 11g.

Hi all
I recently installed SOA Suite 11g on my Windows 7 machine for a project that will be employing SOA, BPM and EJB services. I created a new SOA domain with an admin server and a managed SOA server. When creating the domain, I specified BPM Suite, SOA Suite, Enterprise manager, WSM Policy Manager and JRF to be included as per project requirements.
SOA and BPM project have been deployed to and are working fine on the SOA server, but I observed the following odd behaviour when I tried to deploy and use a Java EJB service: -
1. Via the admin console, I successfully deployed my EJB ear to the managed SOA server and can see it in the JNDI tree of the server.
2. When I try to invoke the EJB from a remote client, the service is successfully located via JNDI and a request is sent, but it is as though the service then simply swallows the request and does nothing with it. No output is returned from the EJB service and none of the logging from the EJB service appears in the logs. No errors are reported on the console or in any of the Weblogic logs that I have looked through.
3. I tried deploying the ear to the admin server instead and invoking it with the same client. This time it works absolutely fine.
4. When messing around with setDomainEnv.cmd, I accidentally removed jrf.jar from the classpath. When the SOA server subsequently started, this caused lots of errors while deploying the SOA components, but my EJB service worked with no problems on the SOA server. When I correcteed the classpath and restarted, the original problem returned.
It seems as though a conflict is occurring, which I am pretty baffled by. I would be very grateful for any advice or suggestions on this issue.
Many thanks
Jon

Hi Jon
I don't know the root cause of this issue. But try this and see if it works. Undeploy this EJB EAR application from weblogic admin console. Then Login into EM Console. And in EM Console, expand weblogic domain and select your soa server under this folder and right click and try to Deploy your EAR. And then access the EJB.
We have some BPM Applications where we have one Workflow project that we deploy from EM Console. This BPM App also have lots of EJB projects. We deploy all of them as single EAR from em console under weblogic domain. So far we have not faced any issues.
Thanks

• Problems issuing continuous requests to a server through URLConnection

Hi ,
I have a URLConnection object 'uc' obtained from a URL object tied to a server URL.
i m issuing HTTP requests continously to this server by calling ' uc = u.openConnection()' everytime
Hence this will return me a new URL Connection object everytime.
After some 300-400 requests, the program ends abruptly , this may be due to shortage of resources to be allocated to the I/O streams of the URL connection.
My question is -is there some way to issue multiple requests from the same URL Connection object ? or is there some other method of issuing multiple requests which does not consume a lot of resources ?
Note: The server accepts only GET method, so i cant write the contents to the output stream of the connection to translate it to a new request every time .
Thanx

My question is -is there some way to issue multiple
requests from the same URL Connection object ? or is
there some other method of issuing multiple requests
which does not consume a lot of resources ?
A HttpURLConnection instance can only be used to issue one http request. What can be re-used is the underlying TCP connection, with the keep-alive header (HTTP 1.1 persistent connections). But that should be handled transparently and by default by the servlet engine.
The later is able to manipulate the stream to increase performance, if you do not close the stream, i.e you don't call conn.disconnect() or by specify the "Connection: close" request property
( conn.setRequestProperty("Connection", "close") )
So, you shouldn't actually close the steam, just flush it (if you close it, the physical socket connection will be terminated).
All the http persistent connection/keep-alive issues were apparently fixed in J2SE 1.4.1 ....(are you using 1.4 ?)
To optimize further, you could take a look at :

• To revert back a transport request from prd to dev server

hi experts
how to revert back a transport request from prd server to
dev server?
a transport request has been wrongly transported
and it has make major changes in production server,
now we want to revert back that request , we know the request no.
regards
pankaj

All you have to do is create an order of transport type "Transport of copies" in PRO.
I give you the steps to follow:
1. Go to SE01 and create a new order (remember the type "Transport of copies").
2. Enter the data of the order of transport that is going to come back.
3. Enter the target, here is where you asign the target system to carry the request.
4. Now just add the number of request to the new request you just created.
5. Finally released the request from this transaction.
6. Check on the queue of transport in DES, the request must appear there.
I hope you serve =)

• Import Requests failed in CONS

Hi
I'm facing the problem of import requests being failed in CONS.
The reason being for that is:
the import failed because not every request including follow-up requests were processed
I've checked the following things:
a) idleStart is set to false
b) the corresponding track is OPEN
c) BUILD_TOOL_VM_ARGS is -Xmx748M.
I cannot figure out the issue why, requests are failing
Any pointers in this direction will be great help
Thanks in advance
Srikant

Hi,
By logging on to the CBS WebUI, check whether the property 'Request processing' of your buildspace is 'ON'. If not, select the buildspace and click 'Edit' to set it ON.

• Transport Request in PRD is in the IMPORT RUNNING status..

Hello Experts,
I have a problem while i m importing the request in PRD,the request is in the state of IMPORT RUNNING.
While i have imported the same request in the other systems DEV and QAS successfully.
I have seen the RDDIMPDP in sm37 it is getting cancelled. Then in 000 client i have runned the job RDDNEWPP with the DDIC user. And did the same in the PRD Live Clinet.
I have also triggered it in sm64 and then checked the job in sm37 the job is finished successfully but the request is still in the same state.
I have checked the consistency its all ok.
One of the request suddednly got imported and rest are still in the same Import Running state.
Now this made me curious if one got imported then why not other requests getting imported.
All the other requests are imported successfully in DEV and QAS successfully.
A couple of days ago i have made the changes to the Live Client in PRD for some requirment then i have revert back the changes to the non modifiable state. Does it have any effect on the transports. Because i have been facing this problem after the changes of the PRD Live Client.
Please i would appreciate if anyone can help me giving the proper solution.
Thanks.
Regards.
Mudassir Imtiaz.

Hello Anindya.
Thanks for your quick help. I have removed the entries from the table TRBAT and imported and it was successfully done.
Now the problem is for each transport request i have to see the job RDDIMPDP and schedule it because its getting cancelled and for each transport request i have delete the entries from TRBAT table. Can you tell me something by which i dont have to go delete the entries from the table TRBAT every time. And i still wonder why the job RDDIMPDP is getting cancelled. I have also scheduled RDDNEWPP in Client 000 with DDIC and still the same problem.
Another thing which i have noticed in sm21 is the job (RDDIMPDP) is getting scheduled in Application server but i have scheduled in DB server. Every time i have to schedule the job from sm36 give the DB server in Exec. Server and execute.
Thanks for your response.
Regards.

• Problem during import of 121 transport requests to productive system

Hello
We have problem during import of transport requests to productive system. Import of 121 transport requests stopped very soon in phase "N" (in TRBAT I have only one entry and in TRJOB as well).
In sm50 there is an BGD running under user DDIC in client 000 now for 14453 seconds (program SAPLSDB2). This should be import.
In SM37 I can see it as job "RDDGEN0L" with repport"RDDGENBB". Based on some literature it should perform "Converting all structure changes generated by the import and recorded in table TBATG, other than the structure changes to matchcode objects." Very interesting that TBATG has only four entries related to 2 indexes in table "DFKKOPK" , one in table "DFKKREP06" and one" ENQU" for EFKKEXC". (only this last one has not status error)
For fist two indexes I know they are not present as objects "LIMU""INDX" in any transport request beeing imported.
Also on productive system there is no"VOL" and "ZOL"indexes for table "DFKKOPK"(instead they are created on test system ie. not transported from development to test system)
Last command for that process is "CREATE INDEX "DFKKOPK~HKO" ON "DFKKOPK" ("MANDT", "HKONT", "OPBEL") PCTFREE 10 INITRANS 002 TABLESPACE PSA
PTR3 STORAGE (INITIAL 0000000016 K NEXT 0000000016 K MINEXTENTS 0000000001 MAXEXTENTS UNLIMITED PCTINCREAS"
There is enaught space on disk and in tablespaces (it is an oracle/HPux server).
Does anyone knows workaroun to solve production

are you importing these transport requests simultaneously into production?
I would suggest you try doing in smaller groups of 5 or 10 and then see whether you are able to import the requests
