Problem in importing SWCV in Integration Repository

I am facing a problem while importing SWCV in Integration repository. it is throwing an error as
<b>Unable to read Software Component Version from the System Landscape Directory "XI1:50000"(SWC_IMPORT_PROCESS_EXCEPTION).</b>

Hi Chandrasekhar,
Have you configure SLD properly. to check this give the tcode 'sldcheck'. if it is not giving any error, u have to create 'lcr' rolesin j2ee UME and those roles to be maped to the users using j2ee visuval administrator. for more information check SLD configuration guide .

Deleting SWCV from Integration Repository

Hi everyone.
I've imported some SWCV into 'integration repository'.
I've deleted this SWCV from SLD. I've refresh the cache.
The SWCV appear in the integration repository and i want to delete them.
How can i do this?

Just want to clarrify for anyone else...
You need to double click the SVCV to get it into your right frame of the Intergration Designer.
Then as suggested in that right frame - Click on Software Component Version > Delete. Delete will take place and it is permanent !.

Deletion of SWCV in Integration Repository

How do you delete incorrectly created SWCV from the Integration Repository ?
I can remove ok in the SLD but how do you then delete in the Integration Repository ?
I am using XI on Web AS 7.0
Any ideas ?

SAP original SWCV in Integr.Repository

Hello,
this is a funny thing. XI 3.0 started with SP12
In Integr. Repository I have originally one SAP SWCV - SAP BASIS -> SAP BASIS 6.40 .
Here I am not able to import IDOC / RFC. The function is greyed out.
So I added the SWCV SAP BASIS -> SAP BASIS 6.20 . Here I can import IDOC / RFC.
Question: Is there a special reason for this behaviour?
What about changes when moving to next release after 6.40. Will then the BASIS 6.40 be active and the SWCV for the current next higher release be inactive for import?
If I import now from a SAP System on release 6.40 an RFC into the SWCV SAP BASIS 6.20 I will loose overview about release dependency of imported functions.
Any idea how to solve this, or is there a problem in my system?

I guess by default, if you import any SWCV from a file or any SAP pre-delivered integration content, the property "Objects are modifiable" is not checked (This property appears on right hand side bottom when double clicked on SWCV). Because of this it won't allow importing any RFCs.
When you said you added SAP BASIS 6.20, did you see any predelivered content along with it. If not, then by default, the option "Objects are modifiable" would have been checked allowing for addition of objects.
I guess any pre-delivered integration content will be non-modifiable.

Problem in importing idoc structure into repository

Hi experts,
I am trying to import an IDOC structure (ORDRSP.ORDERS03) from an R/3 system into the repository. But I am getting the following error:
" **Ready for import**
Import started...
ORDRSP.ORDERS03:
+ com.sap.aii.ibrep.sbeans.upload.RemoteUploadException: IDoc Type ORDERS03 | urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages is already locked in another change list by user rajash
Import failed with 1 error
If i still continue, i see the idoc imported in the left hand pane, but when i double click it, i don't see the structure of the IDOC in the right hand pane.
Also, when i press the XSD/WSDL tabs, i get this message:
"Object IDoc Type ORDERS03 | urn:sap-com:document:sap:idoc:messages not found".
Can somebody guide me how to get around this issue?

Go to user rajash 's change list and activate it. Also ask him to release the IDOC.

When I try to import FM 'BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL', only FM imported, however BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL.response not imported.
Please let us know the reason.

Unable to import SWC into Integration repository

Hi all,
I have created product, software component, two third party technical and business systems.
Now i am importing the SWC into IR by using Tools>Transfer from System Landscape Directory> import Software Component versions.
It shows a list of SWC components. I have selected the one i created and clicked import. it shows the message
*Imported successfully to software component*
But i am unable to see the SWC in the left frame in IR.
(I have tried refresh).

Just goto environment and say clear SLD data Cache.
Also check in for the username under the changelist tab.

Problem in starting Integration Repository

Contrary to another thread that I found, I am having problems starting Integration Repository for the first time after installation. I followed the instructions of the installation guide up to the point of running SXMB_IFR to launch SAP Exchange Infrastructure page, and after clicking on "Repository (Design)" link, the java web start first check for the latest version, then it goes berserk trying to start the application (the progress meter flashes) and ~2 hours have passed as I am writing this. The documentation warns of a long starting time but this?? Appreciate it if any fellow friends have encountered this before and leave your comments...
Another thing: "Directory (Configuration)" link works without a glitch, comes up in 2-3 minutes and I am able to log in. Weird...

We also have a similar problem on clients launching the Integration Repository for the first time. The error message is:
An error occurred while launching/running the application.
Title: Integration Builder
Vendor: SAP AG
Category: Download Error
Corrupted JAR file at http://<host>:50000/rep/repository/aii_ibrep_client.jar
When trying several times it suddenly works without having changed any settings. But on some clients it does not work at all and there is always the error message mentioned above.
The proxy settings are correct on all clients. aii_ibrep_client.jar is not corrupted as I can download and unzip it without any problems.
Does anybody know how to avoid this error? Thanks for your help.

Problem importing idoc to XI integration repository

I have deleoped a custom IDOC and released in SAP/R3. Next I have imported it to XI using transaction IDX2 without problems.
However, when I try to import the metadata to the integration repository, I can't find it in the list of available IDOcs. I have tried to refresh the catches, and even restartet the XI server, but i doesn't help.
Any suggestions ?

Import of SAP Objects into Integration Repository in XI 3.0

Hi all,
I am not able to import SAP objects into the Integration Repository in XI 3.0. This option is under any Software Component Version. I have selected the radio button "Import of RFC and IDoc interfaces from SAP systems permitted", in the Software Component Version settings. After the connection data is specified for the SAP system nothing appears under the IDoc, Whereas the import of RFCs is successfull.
We also have another installation of SAP XI 3.0, here this option is working properly. Can anyone tell me what is the problem, is is there something else to be configured inorder to do this.

Thank you for your answer. We have followed your instructions but did only get half a success. Here is what we have done:
1) Created "External Definitions" for all related xsd-files with the same name as the xsd-filename and in our own namespace. Our namespace is different from those specified in the xsd-files. We have not change the namespaces in the xsd-files.
2) Maintained the "source"-field with the name for the xsd-file and not the url as specified in our answer. When we used the filename only we got a value the field "name" in the "External References".
3) We made a message mapping and imported the "top-level-xsd-element" from the "External Definition". This resulted in only the top level element and nothing else. What we expected was the possibility to drill down through the complete structure.

Do you know if it will be possible to make references across namespaces in a later version of XI?

Problem While Importing Work Repository

I am facing a problem with import and export in ODI.
I was working in ODI Designer and had to move my work repository from one host machine to another host machine.
After doing a database migration of the ODI database to the new machine, the master repository was imported.
There was no problem in importing the master repository.
While taking an export of the old work repository, I took an export into a zip file:
File---->Export----->Work Repository
And specified the zip file name there
Now the problem is, that when I import the work repository into the new environment/host/machine, it throws an error.........
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-02291: integrity constraint (SCHEMA_NAME.FK_COL_COL) violated - parent key not found
where SCHEMA_NAME is the Oracle schema being used as a work schema

Because my schema had been created a month ago and there was some metadat already stored in it at that time
But now I wanted to REPLACE all that through ODI
But that seems an impossible task
So will try to drop and re-create the schema and then import.
I had some invalid interfaces in my export as well.......so that could have caused it
Well, in ideal terms ODI should throw an error when you try to export and if anything is invalid in your Designer
I guess the tool still needs to evolve
That's my perception but maybe I'm not following some procedures to do things in ODI ; long way to learn!

Problem in opening the INTEGRATION REPOSITORY

Hi,
in my system java web starter is installed, but when i enterd sxmb_ifr transaction in xi client , web page ( which contains intgration repository, integration directory , Run time work bench, and system landscape directory ) is getting opened.
but when i click on Integration repository one note pad is getting opened and XI screens are not coming, i mean in the screen where we define all the data types, message types and namespace creation that screen if self is not coming.
if any one of u faced the problem earlliet please let me know.

First check if your java web start is isntalled properly...
J2RE ver 1.4.2_14 should do.
Also you need to make an entry in your host file of your local machine which recides at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. open it in notepad and make an entry in the end like this:
10.0.1.1 <XI server host name>
where 10.0.1.1 is the ip address of your xi server. this is because when you open IR or ID, the link address has the hostname and not the ip address. If you dont map the actual ip address with the host name, your IE is not able to recognise the server.
Also make an entry in your IE TOOLS->Internet options -> connections -> Lan Settings ->Advanced and in Exceptions block add this ip address and host name.
this should work.

Note: I was not able to select SXI for related integration server in the Business System Wizard(SLD Setting).

Could you please help me with the following problem?
I crated some software component in SLD. Then I tried to import it into integration builder design
through tools ---> transfer from SLD --->
import software component Versions, the system prompted
me that cann't access Ecc0101:500000(on which PI is installed).
Could you please tell me the possible reason why
such an error happen ? or how to trace the problem ?

Import BPEL process into integration repository ???

Hey all,
I know that it's possible to export an integration scenario to BPEL4WS.
My first question is if it's also possible to import such a BPEL4WS process into the integration repository?
Second question: Somewhere I read that it's optional to design integration scenarios with the graphical designer. Is that true and is there another way to create such a scenario?

Yes you can import BPEL4WS, in IR.
1. Create Integration process
2. Switch to BPEL4WS display sceen and import your BPEL.

Aris is a tool to configure your Integration scenario other than graphical scenario.
I dont think it is available today with XI3.0.
There is lot of documentation available on ARIS with SAP.
