Problem in Installing CS5

I have a Problem in Installing Adobe CS5 suite [Trial Version.] The Installer just says "Installer failed to initialize" and It doesn't continue

I think the Problem is "6/5/2011 14:01:29.686 [FATAL] DWA.FetchMediaInformationCommand The start applet did not return the result xml. Startapplet returned <error>Failed to open session</error>"
Can Anyone Please tell me the Solution for it?

I tested it on Admin account Sir....
I've No Previosly Installed Adobe Software which Could Conflict like I have Acrobat X and Flash Player 10.2...As I said I used Adobe Cleaner, Here is its Report:-

Problems with installing CS5 extended

Hi, I'm in the process of setting up a new computer and had no problems with installing Lightroom but installing photoshop CS5 is proving to be a real pain. At first it refused to install itself and after many hours of trying it finally did but then I found out I needed to update camera raw so I downloaded that but that one now is refusing to install itself. At first it told me the Applications manager needed to be updated so I did that and still it refuses to install itself. I have tried to get help from Adobe but not a single person is responding to my requests for help so I am now trying the forums so does anyone know what is going on with it?

Do a search on adobe's site for the specs of cs5 and make sure your system will support it. Also see if your OS is listed as being supported. It is possible that cs5 is too old for your system.
For now all we can do is guess. Maybe someone else will have an idea.

Problems with install CS5 on Imac

A couple of weeks ago my Imac was crashed. So I have to install CS5 again after my Imac has repaired. Now i installed CS5 but it doesn't work.I get the mention: Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, please reinstall the application. I tried for a couple of times, but also it doesn't work.Earlier i chatted with adobe and i received a link for install CS5 again, but also this doesn't work either. Can anybody help me with this problem. I need to work with CS5

What ever you do, do not re-install Adobe software from a backup nor migrate the applications from a time machine backup. Use the cleaner tool, Ned gave you the link to then re-install the software using the CS5 Link you are were given by Adobe. If you are having trouble downloading the software, then please try a different browser. The downloading may not appear to be working, but it is a VERY large download. Patience is a virtue in this case.

Problem after installing CS5

I installed CS5 Production Premium.
A few days later I noticed a message from Windows 7 saying I need to uninstall and reinstall Flash Player. A link was provided to the Adobe Flash Uninstaller.
I uninstalled it. Now I go to the Adobe website to reinstall, but I get a message saying that is not the most recent version of Flash Player.
Help please.

put the uninstaller on C:
start>run>cmd
on the black screen u want "C:", if there something like C:\User\
use the command "cd.." to reset to just C:
now type the command: flashplayer10_1_rc4_uninstall_win_050510.exe -force
if dont work, try this one: flashplayer10_1_rc4_uninstall_win_050510.exe -uninstall -force
if still dont work, u will have to use the tool CS5 Cleaner to uninstall everything from ur pc : http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/829/cpsid_82947.html
after reboot, go to google and type "get adobe flash player", i would put the link here but im from Brazil, and i only can put the brazilian link =/, so go with google xD

Problem with instaling CS5 wersion

Hello,
I can not install Adobe CS5.
After entering the serial number the program does not allow me to continue with the installation.
I changed the computer. From the previous computer I'he uninstalled Adobe and installed on new hardware. The first time the installation was successful, but I could not do the update.
After contact with the Adobe Help I tried to install the update manually, but I failed it with all items.
I decided to put up windows again and install all the programs from the beginning.
Now I can't finish installation Adobe CS5.
Please help!

Hello there, I'm mac(macbook) OSX snow leopard user trying to complete installing photoshop CS5.
Every time I install CS5 by adobe installer it seems to be done, but actually when I go to application folder and see CS5 icon it's broken.
And when I click on the icon it says "The file is broken".
So I deleted the installer and downloaded again then installed but didn't change anything.
I've also tried safe mode, root user, but still it seems like something happens during installing process.
I can't think of any solution by myself now, could anyone help me with this?

That's quite unusual problem and i am thinking the reasons that why it happened. The primary suspect seems to be a corrupt download. Can you please check md5 of your installer. On mac you can check it by typing md5 "build path" on the terminal.
Please let us know the md5 and i will see if it is the same of the build on the server. If, it is not download issue then i might need logs or in extreme case remote connection of your machine.

Installing CS5 and Acrobat 9 Pro problem

Just wondering if anyone can help me on line. I have tried the chat session which took a long time to get connected to an agent, I was informed that they could not help me there as they only worked with CS6 and up. They referred me to the forum. So, I am not sure if I am in the right place but here goes.
I am trying to install the Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium software that I bought years ago on an older iMac computer (2007) I believe. The hard drive failed recently and I had a new one put in which included the operating system, OS X 10.6.8. I have recently tried to install Adobe CS5 which I purchased some years ago. The software package had the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro disc which helps to install the CS5 package. I have tried to install Acrobat 9 Pro twice and I now get the following error message:
The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “DistillerLib” can’t be read or written.
(Error code -36)
I did not notice this message the first time I tried to install the entire package so on the first attempt I went on to trying to install the CS5 Design Premium disc next. It attempted for a good while to try and install it but ultimately stopped. I have gone to the support site and uninstalled the CS5 Design Premium files that were left on there thinking I could start over. So, I put back in the Acrobat 9 Pro disc and it said there was an Acrobat 9 Pro file there and did I want to replace it. I said yes, and then as it attempted to replace these files, I got the message stated above about the DistillerLib error ode - 36.
I do have a membership for Adobe Creative Cloud and I can only put the latest software available there on my other 2 computers. This computer I am trying to put the CS5 software (standalone) is for my granddaughter who I am trying to help learn Photoshop and Illustrator. The computer I am trying to put this on is the one I had bought for my son who recently passed away. At this time I can't get another subscription for my granddaughter. So, how can I get this CS5 package installed or do I have to take the computer back to the technical folks who put in the hard drive to help me. I saw on the support site instructions for installing CS5 but as you can see from my discussion, this is not working for me now. Is it the operating system causing problems for this older version of Creative Suite CS5? ...... or is it Acrobat 9 Pro?

Sounds like you somehow got the mac version.

Problem installing CS5.5 on Win 7x64

Trying to install CS5.5 En on Windows 7 x64 logged on as administrator, this is the error message I get.
- Design Standard CS5 En .. Error 2203.Database C:\Design Standard CS5 En.msi Cannot open database file. System error -2147287035.
I have also tryed the same thing from SCCM07 and i get the same error. SCCM07 uses the windows installer account with administrative rights. Any suggestions?

Problem uninstalling CS4 after installing CS5 - help!

I installed CS5 without a hitch.
I then tried to uninstall CS4. I opened Photoshop and chose Help/Deactivate, taking care to tick the serial number box too.
After the uninstall procedure, I got an message that it had completed but with errors.
In Control Panel/Programs, CS4 is still listed, but now showing only 3.77Mb instead of the 300Mb+ that it was.
I then downloaded Adobe Support Advisor and ran it. The diagnosis directed me to this Knowledge Base Article.......

...but then you probably obeyed the correct order in the first place. Anyway, there is no harm in leaving the remnants in place. you can of course make them disappear by removing the relevant registry key(s), but how important that little cosmetic surgery is to you, is for you to decide.

Problems installing CS5 from an external HDD

I'm having issues installing CS5 on to my win 7 laptop. CS5 was loaded onto my external HDD by the administrator at my workplace; when I attempted to install it, it seemed to be going fine until it asked me to 'insert disk 2' to continue. I tried to mount the iso image file but the couple of programs I tried didn't allow me to do so. CLONE DVD2 seemed to be working up to the point of burning the DVD but the file was too big to fit on a DVD. Can I mount the ISO and open it without burning it, if so, using what software?

IsoBuster, WinRAR, 7zip all can mount or open ISO images. The severity of your problem makes me think that the image is damaged, though, which could even mean that the original DVD was damaged and thus wrong CRC info ended up on the ISO...

I have CS5 on my Windows 7 desktop. Now I want to install CS5 on my Windows 7 laptop. Since it's an upgrade, it won't install. I have a CS4 upgrade, and a full version of CS3. Do I need to install the full CS3 version first, then the CS4 upgrade, and then the CS5 upgrade?

You can directly install the CS5 upgarde , no need to have the CS4 and CS3, all you need is serial Number of the CS4 to install the upgrade.

Problem reinstalling FB4 premium after installing CS5 MC on windows 7 64-bit

I was hoping that I could get some help with an issue -- I filed a technical request (ticket) with Adobe but also wanted to reach out here.
Background:
I installed FB4 Premium in March, and had no issues with the download or install -- everyhting had been working fine. Yesterday I installed CS5 MC and in the process of installing it over-wrote the debug versions of flash player that come in FB4 premium with standard flash player. Naturally,that won't work with FB4 so I needed to find a way to reinstall the debug version of flash player plug-in and active x. After trying unsuccessfully for while to do so, I decided it would just be easier to uninstall and reinstall the FB4 download which I still had on my machine, as this comes with the debug players I need. Big mistake. Now I can't get FB4 to reinstall. I am getting the following error messages while running the install set-up (see uploaded image of error message below). Any thoughts at all on how I can resolve this? I did try several reboots, new installs and even re-downlaoded FB4 again from the Adobe store. It appears the presecne of MC5 has caused this somehow?? I run windows 7 64-bit pro. By the way, I did figure out (too late) the way to reinstall the debug flash player -- I first needed to run a script to delete the existing flash player rather than just uninstall it; if anyone needs the script or help on that let me know.

Thank you very much for this insight. It worked. Now I just have a few issues around getting a shortcut for FB4 on the desktop and fixing the FB4 app icon (which now shows up as blank). But it is running as FB4 premium -- Thank you so much!! I have also sent an email to the Adobe engineers working on this case.
I realized that my big mistake was thinking that I needed to reinstall FB4 premium standalone to get FB4 premium to work -- but this was not possible (due to how CS5 installer works) and not needed (because CS5 has all of the code needed to run FB4 premium). The answer (as you described) was simply to go abck to the CS5 installer let it install FB4. While CS5 would initially install FB4 as standard, the serial number "games" described here and in other posts would allow me to upgrade to to FB4 premium. It now works as FB4 premium!
